There was documentary made by an Australian reporter that managed to show the difference between the Iraqi insurgence and the real extremists (the ones the Iraqis insurgents are afraid of themselves, the ones described as no soul, shark eyes, the drugged and brainwashed, mind-controlled. Wonder who created them? The ones that will kill you on sight.) Think this was on PBS.
Anyway, there is a difference from seeing the effects of what the depleted uranium did to the country in Desert Storm, being Shocked and Awed, having no jobs, electricity, clean water, sewage, poor hospitals, no schools, contractors looting your country and disrespecting your country. Troops trained for something they didn't sign up for---liberating and freeing a country, not the crap that has rolled down from their commander. Not the liberators that play both sides and blame it on the insurgents.

Well, this explains why the smurf had to obtain the classified documents and why the smurf wants to take the stand. Libby was banking on the memory expert to testify. And the government rejected Dr. Bjork's being a expert witness in which Bjork's testimony has nothing to do with the fact the Libby lied. The bonehead Libby should have gotten a medical doctor and had some type of proof that Libby was suffering from memory loss medically. For an attorney, the smurf is really not clever. So, what I suspected, John Cline, one of Libby's lawyer, had to request to obtain the classified information and use graymail to box the government. Fitz is clever enough to figure that out. Fitz will have to be confident enough to win points with the jurors with confidence and charisma..

As a "test" some military goons at the pentagon decided to put him and some others with similiar problems right back in Baghdad for another tour-they are Marine reservists...the point being they want to see if it makes their problems better or worse. All I can say is these parents have a lot more patience than I.
Not only do they ask our soldiers to follow illegal orders, they don't care at all what they are doing to their young minds. And people wonder why I have such strong feelings about this cabal...going to a progressives meeting tonight-my support group-besides my fellow JB's :-)

Well, let's just hope that Judge Walton can be fair and partial in the Libby case rather than being a sell out to the judicial system. I was a bit taken back when he allowed Libby to have classified document. I realize some of the information is known to the public and some are not.. But, I'm afraid that the classified document is a national security risk. And by Walton allowing Libby's access to that classified document to jar a memory, Walton has opened the door to future cases to use Libby case as an example to obtain classified and confidential information in a case.

After reading about several cases Walton has presided over...his past with "states secrets" is not hopeful (especially the Sibel Edmond case; however it's hard to know the facts in this one since it's a big secret)...also, he does have a history with the Bush family too...I just hope he has no grounds to dismiss the Libby case...and he plays fair in his judgements
I have no doubs about Fitzie's intelligence, and skill at trying this case...but I don't trust that the Judge will be unbiased and not try to intefere...
I will try to think positively though...and I think it will be interesting to see how much of Fitzie's investigative work will be ultimately shared with the Plame civil suit..

Let's keep in mind that the Gerbil and company appointed Fitz as the Special Prosecutor. And there were a lot of naysayers that had doubts of Fitzgerald's appointment. Many people's minds were focused on Fitzgerald being appointed by the Gerbil Administration rather than looking at the person. Fitz proved those naysayers wrong in the leak investigation. Also, when judge Sandra Day O'Connor was appointed by Reagan to the Supreme Court unanimously, the GOP thought the conservative O'Connor was going to be pushover. O'Connor prove people wrong. Last week she got the usual renewal documents in the mail and went into the police station to do whatever she needed to do, and was apparently manhandled and shackled and thrown into a cell and was told that she'd be deported to the Ukraine imminently, for no apparent reason. She wasn't even allowed to phone anyone.
After she had been disappeared for 48 hours, she finally convinced some nice officer that she was in desperate need of her heart medication and was allowed to phone her family to organize for some medication.
The family was able to find a lawyer and organize a temporary stay of proceedings.
The family lived through a similar situation in the Ukraine 30 years ago.
My immediate suspicion was that the deportation has something to do with Larisa's reporting, although that was somewhat ameliorated when I learnt that there has apparently been a flurry of similar events recently. 'Another 900 people' in some indeterminate part of Florida (perhaps the State?) in Broward county alone have been given their deportation notices in the last little while since Sept 1. I'm not sure whether I find that more or less comforting.

In order for the film directors to get people to see the documentary are two ways: If they want in a theater, it would have to be an independent theater and the distributors to endorse the movie will have to be a independent distributor such Lion Gates Film, or the Weinstein brothers or the other independent distributors outside of the U.S.. Of the film directors can sell the documentary via internet through word of mouth. Their best bet is to sell the documentary online. The more people buy the movie and watch it, the more people will demand it to be in the movie theater. But, it is an important documentary to see.

I have a queasy feeling about Judge Reggie Walton too, and I am wondering what will happen to the Wilsons' civil suit if Libby's lawyers are allowed to graymail the criminal trial. What I have confidence in, though, is that when the Democrats retake the House, Chairman John Conyers will be able to get to the bottom of all this. I have been told by one lawyer that the Judiciary Committee will be able to subpoena Fitzgerald himelf and Grand Jury testimony.
