The issue of buyer's remorse is directly connected to a larger, twofold problem surrounding the ongoing coverage of Bush's polling numbers. First, there's developed a pervasive press obsession with trying to be the first to document Bush's rebound in the polls. (It stands in stark contrast to the press conduct during President Clinton's second term when reporters and pundits were forever hunting, unsuccessfully, for evidence that Clinton's popularity was slipping.)
Secondly, and just as disturbing, is the categorical refusal by the press to put Bush's consistently dreadful poll numbers into any kind of historical context. The fact that Bush has been bogged down for much of this year with poll numbers in the 30's is nothing short of astonishing. In the last half-century, the only other comparable second-term collapse belonged to Richard Nixon, whose fall, of course, was fueled by the revelation that a criminal enterprise had been operating from inside the Oval Office. We're at a crisis point and Fitz, having the same authority as Gonzales, has to act. The UN has declared that the US violated the Geneva Conventions, which means they are aiding and abetting the enemy because this war on terror killed 65,000 people, jailed 40,000 people, we tortured some of them to death, and we have US spying on its own citizens, which has already been ruled in court, as illegal.
Congress has rubber-stamped all these illegal behaviors, which means the military is going to have to take over. The DOJ will have to set up Nurenberg II.
Congress should not meet until this is resolved. The National Guard will have to be recalled from Iraq to help deal with the crisis at home. Iraq, now having its own government will be assisted by Iran and other nations in that area, particularly Saudi Arabia, since Bin Laden is *their* criminal.

I wouldn't be too sure about that after seeing NBC News, Brian Williams's interview with President Ahmadinejad. I went pn Brian Williams's blog and many of the folks were really impressed by Ahmadinejad. Here are two of the comments from his blog:
1.God help us if many in this Country are as ignorant as some on this blog about the true motives behind the American President's comments during any interview. People, he's playing you for a fool and laughing at your stupidity! If you think he wants peace and brotherhood, you aren't educating yourself about capitalist fundamentalism.
2. Two thumbs up on your interview with President Ahmadinejad. He's very smart and I like it when he said to you who has and used the atomic bomb. I was interesting in his comments about the Holocaust and I'll research it more. Like most of history we never get the hold story. I wonder if Hitler did kill others as well as the Jews. I've love to see Ahmadinejad debate Clinton smart vs smart.
As to President Bush's speech with the comments about Syria as Bush asked Syria to torture prisoners for the US. That says alot about friendship or asking a favor as Bush slammed Syria in the US. Also did you notice all the talk about weapons that Iran might build yet not a word about North Korea who has shown the UN their weapons. I watched the speech and notice that most in the audience weren't even listen to George W. Bush.
The Gerbil may have his eye on Iran but by Mr. Williams airing the interview with the Iranian President, there will be a lot of questions in people's mind about the Gerbil's honesty about the Iranian President. And we have no idea how many of the people who saw Williams' show told others.. From watching the interview, it puts the Gerbil's credibility in foreign affairs out the window.

However that's a huge gamble because if they're wrong(like they were about Iraq) then they're gonna end up with a huge American Civil War on their hands...

I noticed that too. In fact many of the leader that I observed were either talking or they had a poker face. When he stated his speech off with same old tireass and recycled version 9/11 speech, he really lost the audience. You are right about that. In Robert Greenwald's interview with Olbermann, he is working with House Rep. Henry Waxman in Calfornia to invesigate the war profiteers in Iraq. I really applaud Greenwald and Waxman to hold those people accountable. As I mention before in previous blogs that most people rather be entertained than educated. People need to know what is going on with their taxpayer's dollars instead of wondering about the episode of Desperate Housewives. I am not knocking that we need entertainment in life. But, people need to be educated to fact where their money is going and where this country is going in the future. But, we do know that this Administration was all about profit!
And yes, we were puppets to the Gerbil. But, I notice some of the comments from people that have a doom and gloom attitude and the give up and packup and leave attitude about the November election. I am firm believer that it is all in attitude. If you feel the "well, there nothing I do. The Administration will do what they want," then things will never change in this country. But, if you the "I don't give a rip what the President says or does, I am going to take back my country" attitude, then this country will turn around.. And I have noticed in this past month how scared the Administration and the GOP is, The Gerbil's behavior, and their desperate measure of attacks against the Democrats. Again, the Gerbil has a lot of business deals that are backing the Iran deal. And he has to deliver. That is why his demeanor towards the media has changed.
