I Will Convict No Felons...

before their time.

U.S. details Black case

"Black, who is accused of money-laundering, racketeering and obstruction of justice, has steadfastly denied any wrongdoing and stated that he still hoped one day to run for a seat in the U.S. Congress." ;)

How does March work for you, Conrad?

Fitz,

Your link didn't come up. You added an additional "http" to your link. I read the article. I am looking forward to Black's case next year. He is in the heapin trouble.. I just hope that he will not cry the nanny boo boo defense and say that his charges are too harsh. I just got finish reading about Bernie Ebbers of Worldcom say that his 25 year sentence is too harsh. Why is it that when these crooks were eating good and stealing and get caught, they start to cry foul play on their charges and sentence?

Close your eyes and think back the last five years. Black would have fit right in with this current group of criminals and crooks. To bad time has run out for the the corrupt GOP as now Black can join the corrupt team in jail. Look Abramoff and Cunningham need a team to get that crime jail group started. I wonder if Bush has a country he can flee to as most have signs not wanted.

Explain this one to me.

For Abramoff, Lawmaker Slandered Teen Sex Slave

A Texas congressman is denying charges he slandered a foreign sex slave at the behest of Jack Abramoff. But documents obtained by TPMmuckraker contradict the Republican's claims.
In November of 1997, Rep. Ralph Hall (R-TX) publicly questioned the credibility of a teenage girl's claims that she'd been the victim of the sex trade in the Northern Mariana Islands. The statement, which Rep. Hall entered into the Congressional Record, was prepared by Jack Abramoff, the lobbyist for the islands.
"[S]he wanted to do nude dancing," Hall's statement said of the fifteen-year-old girl. She had earlier told federal investigators that she'd been forced to work for a local nightclub in a nightly live sex show.

From The Book on Bush-Eric Alterman and Mark Green- new news to me:

"a four-star marine general Carlton W. Fulford, Jr. who also traveled to Niger in Feb 2002 and who came away "assured" of the security of that nation's uranium supply and reported his findings back to the Joint Chiefs chairman-General Richard B Myers...

I never trusted Myers- he is also the one who, along with Rummy, on April 1, 2003 told military families that our soldiers were well trained and well equipped...

This is the quote of the day from NY Daily News in the sports column of all places in relation the leak case:

"It is a different story for Mark Fainaru-Wada and Lance Williams of the San Francisco Chronicle. Pending an appeal, they are going to jail because of their reporting about Bonds and the rest of the BALCO All-Stars."

"The government of George Bush, which will leak the name of a CIA operative named Valerie Plame when it suits its purposes, now wants Fainaru-Wada and Williams in jail because they won't reveal the names of the person or persons the government says leaked them grand jury testimony. It is always worth pointing out that if you ran the country the way Bush and his people do, you wouldn't want to encourage whistleblowers, either."

I would suggest you read what you can of Cathy O'brien book, it has been before a court. Suppressed by the NSA. They published their own book.

That Phoenix book seems to back her up.

Simple googling and comparing some sites, dates, names and facts should make you question how they knew so much in advance of 2006. Insanity in every walk of life--in the government, military, courts, universities, hospitals, media, schools, the Grand Ole Opry. Insane.

Do you know there are rock groups called "The Boys of MKUltra"? How sick is that?

Can the commanders be self-dosing on ignorance? Nah, they've got laptops and Internet access. They've got to feel a bit uneasy working for a fascist dictatorship and not a republic.

So Many GOP Blunders, So Few Weeks till Midterms

I can't remember which upset me more....the stolen election in 2000 or the war in Iraq. Or was it when they outed Valerie Plame, a woman working in the service of her country's intelligence apparatus who had the "misfortune" of being married to a government official who dared to contradict this White House's right-wing-nut-bag agenda in Baghdad?

Or was it that the withering Republican stooge, Robert Novak, made it all seem so business-as-usual? Or was it when scientists, on the government's payroll and otherwise, were being told to shut up about global warming? It might have been when they actually started editing government reports to suit their pro-business purposes. I can't recall. Maybe it was when I read that David Addington really runs the government. Never heard of him? Oh.

It might have been when Secretary Rice, like any good secretary covering up for her boss, smirked her way through the 9/11 hearings and never seemed to flinch in the face of "Bin Laden Determined to Attack Within the US." Then again, I could be wrong. It might have been when I read in the New York Times of March 3, 2006, that Jason Peltier, a former agricultural lobbyist in California's San Joaquin Valley, had gone to work in the Bush Interior Department and was responsible for awarding government water contracts to his former employers. Actually, on second thought, I might be confusing the Peltier issue with the revelations about Jack Abramoff and the Interior Trust scandals. Or the Klamath Basin questions in 2003. Or the Interior Department's own Inspector General who said last week that the place is rife with "cronyism and cover-ups."

Alec, sweetheart, you make me proud!

I agree, S-Q, about the gas prices falling---all an election ploy. And what is up with Wal-Mart suddenly lowering drug costs (in Florida no less) to $4 and people may be able to get meds from Canada now? Something bad coming down the pike?

Hopefully people see through these ploys and should tell the majority and some of the democrats that deserve it to go to hell.

Another thing to look at:

This sounds odd too...
