Thanks to whoever is responsible for the latest leak! Keep putting the sleaze factor in front of the public's eye, and maybe we'll have still more to celebrate this time next year.

Anyone notice that Waas' account of the Bush interview sees to differs from the one Leopold printed on April 6?

" According to four attorneys who over the past two days have read a transcript of the President Bush's interview with investigators, Bush did not disclose to either investigators or the special counsel that he had authorized Cheney or any other administration official to leak portions of the NIE to Woodward and Miller or any other reporter. Rather, these people said the president said he frowned upon "selective leaks."

Let's make sure we understand what this happy independence day means and why our country was formed. Just has it started it can end if you don't hold strong to it's value and direction. Our country is now being tested by new policies and dismantlement of the foundation in which it was built. We are starting to form a dictatorship as former countries had and fell. Our country is a country ruled by the people not a President. Remember please a President only represents the will of the people not his will. All Branches of govenment represent the will of the people. We are sliding down to a point where our leaders represent themselves. I think George W. Bush said it best he said " I am the decider not the people" as thousands of Americas marched against the invasion. Time has shown the secrets, lies, propaganda that has been told to Americans and the world leaders. Remember to that when you lie you can't be trusted and it's hard to get that trust back.

Yes, I noticed Waas' article version vs. Jason's article version. Yet, according to Jason's article, that four attorneys read Bush's transcript. I have Waas' other articles and alot fo Jason's past article.. Hmmm.. Only the investigators and Fitz know the truth on what the Gerbil said to them. And if both Waas and Leopold stand behind their stories, then one needs to question what to believe in the Gerbil. And did the Gerbil lie to the investigators. I would love to see the transcript of the 70 minute interview with the Gerbil!

Osama bin Laden is hiding on the territory of one of the central Asian states of the former USSR, Richard Clarke, former presidential adviser on counter-terrorism said in an interview with the National Public Radio. “You are looking for him throughout Pakistan and can’t find him. Maybe it’s just because he is not there,” he said. However he did not exclude bin Laden may be in Somali or Iran. Russia refused to comment on the statement.

Hmmm..from Firedoglake, it makes you wonder about the Waas' article. Some of the questions that Christy is asking, I, too wonder the same?:

But the question of how expendable Irving Lewis Libby was to his boss keeps running through my mind, reading through the last portion of Waas’ article. Cheney and Addington have been, and are still, awfully tight — two neocon peas in a pod. And Irving — the only one under indictment.
And Libby "testified that he spoke to David Addington, then Counsel to the Vice President, whom [Libby] considered to be an expert in national security law, and Mr. Addington opined that presidential Authorization to publicly disclose a document amounted to a declassification of a document."

There’s a whole lot of throwing under the bus going on in the finger-pointing mess of ass-covering mendacity, isn’t there? George Bush points the finger at Cheney — I told him to get the word out, but I didn’t mean for him to have anyone betray a CIA agent. Irving is protecting Cheney’s flank…all the while Cheney and Addington are protecting Cheney’s flank. Which leaves Irving where, exactly? All the monetary donations to his legal trust fund in the world can’t disguise the fact that Scooter was hung out to be the bait if they got caught…and his loyalty to the boss would be the firewall. How does it feel to be the scapegoat, Scooter? You gonna bet the farm — and your family — on these clowns?

I still think that the little soldier will be hung to dry by the Gerbil and company.. And Addington and his action are a Cheney clone.. I would keep my eye on Addington. Hmmm.. I noticed that the last fundraiser for the little soldier that his boss, Cheney, didn't come to his fundraiser. After all, Cheney worked closely with the smurf...

Newsweek did a report on that Addington guy awhile ago, I think it had to do with the FISA, anyway...the article said he is such a pit bull that 2 lawyers got their own lawyers on the issue and ended up "quitting" over the issue. I know Arlen 'no oath' Specter mentioned the men in the hearings where Abu Gonzales lied his arse off before the nation. It was mentioned that those two men might get called to testify but I think that was all fluff.

The article said Addington ran over anyone that got in his way, more or less. Seemed like a real ass.

Scuds are just primitive tacticals that MAYBE could hit Japan. They're saber rattling right back at Bush now as best they can and with a nuclear threat today too.

I suspect The PRC will control their bad stepchild in time.

Well I sure hope they do anyway :/

Everybody, you missed out on something other than the three, first there were four missles, then there were three
then they weren't as threatening,
who do I believe as the newsstory keeps changing? One other thing not spoken about (but I may be leaking this?!) A COMET came 289,000 miles outside of the moon- which is more frightening than any missle or attack on the Sears tower when you look at it through a scientists eye. But no fear here-just fed up to all of this and changed my major from business to criminal justice/public service. I suggest to the rest of gen-x as we bide our time we all do the same. Seeing as a "leak" is the "truth" and a "psy op" is a "truth leaker" we better start our independence day in memory of what we are running from- witch hunting, tyranny, taxation without representation- it's all come back and I'm a little pissed about it because now our planet is at stake. Happy Independence Reclemation Day.

Nan,

Great interview!

This next article is too funny! LOL! White House called TOILSEC:

Here is an excerpt:

Although the heavy-handed Gestapo-like security measures meted out to Viennese home owners, business proprietors, and pedestrians by US Secret Service agents and local police before and during Bush's visit received widespread Austrian media attention, it was White House "toilet security" ("TOILSEC"), which has Austrians talking the most. The White House flew in a special portable toilet to Vienna for Bush's personal use during his visit. The Bush White House is so concerned about Bush's security, the veil of secrecy extends over the president's bodily excretions. The special port-a-john captured Bush's feces and urine and flew the waste material back to the United States in the event some enterprising foreign intelligence agency conducted a sewage pipe operation designed to trap and examine Bush's waste material. One can only wonder why the White House is taking such extraordinary security measures for the presidential poop.

Even Bush's toilet paper was flown in from the U.S. Air Base at Ramstein, Germany. In addition, Bush's food was flown in from the United States and tested with special chemicals before he ate it.

Now, I wonder what kind of toilet paper did they fly to the Gerbil? Hmmm? Maybe they snuck toilet paper from the $1.00 store... I am not going to go there and ask where they put the Gerbil's poop! And enquirees want to know who wipe the Gerbil's butt! We have so many important issues going on this country. And we could care less about the portable toilet and toilet paper being flown in for the Gerbil to tinkle in and poop!

Anon interesting thought
On this day of our independence I was thinking North Korea showed the US they have WMD, Iraq had only the weapons the US gave them and Iran is thinking about making WMD. Our President attacks a country with only the weapons we gave them and is about to attack Iran who has no weapons just the thought. But Bush is scared to attack North Korea because they have 1000 soldiers per one of the US. Do we have a dumb stupid President who only wants to attack weak country for oil but he's scared to attack a strong country with WMDs. The world leaders with take full advantage of our weak stupid President. I know their laughing at the news that Bush stopped looking for Bin Liden a year ago while not telling Americans. Yet Mrs. Al Zarqawi leaked the fact that Bush made a deal to kill her husband so he would stop looking for Bin Liden. I feel bad for the 9/11 families as they believed Bush when he said he would track down Bin Liden well now they know what we know Bush lied again. Don't forget that the troops that openly speak and support Bush get a bonus for that action. Anon like you people have to be paid to spread lies and propaganda it's all about the money. As for the two years Bush has well Nixon thought the same thing but God had other plans. I remember just before Nixon was to take the stand, he said I will be resigning from the office of President tomorrow at 12 noon. If history repeats itself what for that 12 noon announcement from George W. Bush.

July 4, 2006 -- The search for remains of 9/11 victims on a skyscraper near Ground Zero - suspended more than two months ago by environmental officials - will resume tomorrow.

Workers, wearing masks for protection from asbestos and other contaminants, will continue cleaning the roof of the former Deutsche Bank building of toxic materials and searching for remains, said John Gallagher, spokesman for the Lower Manhattan Development Corp.

That asbestos is dangerous...and costly to remove from buildings, too.

Such coverage (backed by delusional Journal editorials baffling to anyone who was actually in Iraq) misled conservatives about Iraq from the beginning. In retrospect, the real victims of Fox News weren't the liberals it attacked but the conservatives who believed it.

Hello fellow blogger!

I'm back from my 4th of July festivities. I am winding down the evening. Though I get on the blog... I see everyone is talkinh about the Toilet Security for the Gerbil. I have to agree with Chimpcoulter. The Gerbil bases had to fly his poop and urine back to the states that no one can detect alcohol in his system.. God Forbid, I can see the Headlines on the Globe:" We found the real WMD: we found alcohol in the Gerbil's poop and urine in Vienna "
