Maybe Jeb and his fam could all head off to Mars. Shoot, they've done their share to destroy this planet. Time to leave this one. And Pres Bush now does have approval for a manned flight to Mars. May he and Jeb be on that flight. And may they encounter a "Mars Surprise"

Just MY opinion - Jeb Bush will NEVER be elected President. We currently live in an extremely polarized dictatorship HOWEVER Jeb Bush's wife is MEXICAN. The Rapturers will never ever accept a mixed marriage - and if you think that marriage won't be exploited (along with his two druggie kids)...
In our current climate, his MEXICAN wife will be viewed as an IMMIGRANT (he brought her back from Mexico). She is the absolute icon for what the rapturers want to keep OUT of this country.
I'm not saying it is or is not RIGHT, but it is exactly what will happen.

She and her druggie family (dui's, drug arrests) do NOT represent the First Family icon that the Rapturers are looking for that represent their "ideal" white bread couple and 2.5 annoyingly perfect kids.

And THAT is why Jeb won't run...

Anonymous Jury Requested In Hamas-Related Case

CHICAGO -- Justice Department lawyers asked a federal judge yesterday to empanel an anonymous jury in the case of three men charged with sponsoring terrorism by funneling funds to the Islamic Resistance Movement, or Hamas.

In papers filed by the office of U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald, prosecutors told U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve that, because the defendants and others are accused of racketeering, conspiracy to commit murder and money laundering -- all on behalf of Hamas -- jurors hearing the case might be intimidated.

so, I can make money by raising money for Fitzgerald for President? Someone tell me if that's illegal because I can raise some money! How much to make Fitzgerald a monetary contender- he already has what it takes and more-but -is raising money for a campaign to show what Fitz stands for- that's not buying votes is it? I'm kinda playing stupid today because I want to get this clarified and the best way to have something made clear to a person is treat them like a moron- kinda like Jeb. Can I raise some campaign money for you Mr. Fitzgerald? I really don't need a huge salary- I'd be happy if I had healthcare and 30,000 a year. Is that greedy? Sarah

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks!

Haapy Friday to all!

Well, the topic is Jeb Bush! As I agree with many of the bloggers, Jeb is not running of President. I don't know what type of meds that the small minded and unemployed troll Al is on. And as just say no to fascism said that Jeb's family are drug addicts and drunks. In fact, the entire Gerbil Bush family are drunks and in denial. Jeb will be exposed for his dirty deeds and the FLORIDA STOLEN ELECTION AND DENIAL OF MINORITIES THEIR RIGHT TO VOTE real soon. And let's not forget his brother, Asswipe-in-Chief, King Gerbil!

Folks, more in the news.

I had to send this two article up. The secone article is too funny!

From TPMmuckraker:

1. Looks like a plea deal for the former nominee for DHS:

"Bernard Kerik, Bush's one-time pick for DHS chief, has finally struck that rumored plea deal. $221,000 in fines is the slap on the wrist for accepting $165,000 in gifts from a mob-tied contractor."

"His trial was set to begin today, but it's been postponed -- apparently, Allen and his lawyers are in negotiations to make a guilty plea. He may even avoid jail time."

2. The Evil Twin Defense! Please hold your laughter to end folks!
Remember this guy, Claude Allen?
Another plea bargain. From TPMmuckraker:

"His trial was set to begin today, but it's been postponed -- apparently, Allen and his lawyers are in negotiations to make a guilty plea. He may even avoid jail time."

But on March 14, 2006 article:

"Following his arrest, Allen's team swore the charges were mistaken, floating a theory that Allen's evil twin did it. They didn't give details; Allen himself told acquaintances "only one side of the story had been heard."

"Now, here late this evening I got an email from TPM Reader WH who directed my attention to today's All Things Considered on NPR in which Michele Norris interviews Michael Fletcher, a reporter with the Post who's been covering the story."

"Now, right at about 1:40 into the interview comes this exchange ...
Norris: We should note something, Michael. Apparently Claude Allen has a twin brother? "

"Fletcher: Yes, he does. He has an identical twin brother who even close friends can’t tell them apart when they see them. And people have seen him and close friends say that Mr. Allen has indicated to them that maybe his brother holds the key to this entire puzzling affair.
Now, I take it I'm not reading too much into this to think that the idea here is that this is a case of mistaken identity in which the virtuous Claude Allen has been nailed for the crimes of his evil twin Floyd."

Two more articles:

1. Bin Laden appears again:

Bin Laden Wants Zarqawi Buried in Homeland

"CAIRO, Egypt (AP) -- Osama bin Laden called on President Bush in an audiotape released Friday to release the body of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and said Jordan should allow the slain terrorist to be buried in his homeland."

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BIN_LADEN_TAPE?SITE=MIDTF&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2006-06-30-07-59-12

Amazing!

2. From Thinkprogress:

"Former counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke says the administration wants the “public to believe that it had not already occurred to every terrorist on the planet that his telephone was probably monitored and his international bank transfers subject to scrutiny.” “How gullible does the administration take the American citizenry to be?” Clarke wonders."

For those that are following the Shug/Gerbil/Laura saga: Gone With a Shag, here is the latest from Wayne Madsen Report.l Yes, folks, there is another tabloid about Gerbil and Condi and will run in the Globe!

This is the Globe headlines:

White House Marriage Crisis
Bush and Condi are lovers!

"June 30, 2006 -- As much as the White House wants the story of President Bush's tryst with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Laura Bush's disgust with the relationship to go away, The Globe tabloid is running the story for the second week in a row (and WMR's initial story on the affair is once again cited). The Globe's neuro-linguistic (body language) expert analyzes Bush's and Rice's cavorting incidents. The White House has also altered its story on Mrs. Bush's Secret Service detail being seen at the Mayflower Hotel for at least one night (when Mrs. Bush reportedly stormed out of the White House after a confrontation with Mr. Bush over the affair). The White House at first denied the First Lady was even at the Mayflower. A White House source now concedes that the First Lady arranged to transport an old college female friend back to the Mayflower from the White House and that the First Lady remained at the hotel until 11:00 PM. The White House continues to deny that the First Lady remained at the hotel for at least one entire evening."

There is NO WAY the nasty old pervert pedophile anti-immigrant Rethug party will EVER put up a guy with a NON-white wife...especially in the climate THEY created.
Personally I don't care WHAT her ethnic background is, but THEY do. THEY HATE NON-WHITES, as much as they hate WOMEN.
When did politicians become such pond scum anyway? Filthy men, filthy minds, filthy actions. If they aren't stealing money or taking bribes, they are visiting child prostitutes and pimping little kids on the internet.

White-haired, smart men like Clarke are HOT!! And he is right!! Except for the Miami Wannabes, most terrorists have already figured that out. I am glad Clarke pointed that out, and whomever leaked the information on the phone and bank survelliance programs already know that, too, and how much time and money is being wasted on programs with an incredibly low ratio of success.

Improve the credibility of our spy agencies, do not get them involved in wasteful, stupid projects, and then maybe we can actually get somewhere with nailing the bad guys (and gals).

Night Owl: You are SO right.

Most of the women that I know really like guys who have "stature" and class. The current class of dogturds residing in DC and "governing" are really not attractive or appealing.

They are mean and nasty and just ooze "low class". Most of them appear to have just crawled out of a cave (or possibly still residing there (i.e. Dick Cheney).

The BushCos bring to mind the lowest example of trailertrash that has aspired to its lowest possible potential. The Pweznit is stoned all the time by appearance, the DickVeep is a mentally deficient thug with delusions of grandeur and the rest of them are there for their own purposes.

This Administration truly does give meaning to the Peter Principle.

And NONE of them appear to be getting ANYTHING at ANYTIME. Although I love the Bush/Condi speculation, I doubt if he could get it up on a good day (and he doesn't have many of those I'm sure). He is way too stoned on something to be even barely functional...a yucky thought at best!

Guess those pre-teen Internet sex sites and DR Sex slaves they visit aren't really doing the trick.

No one with class or intelligence would consider them as remotely acceptable. Too Low Class and Too Trashy.

12:41 PM
Blogger SP Biloxi said...

And to add to Night Owl's comments about Richard Clarke (except the part that he is hot! of course), he wrote an Op-Ed in the NY Times:

"There is, of course, another possible explanation for all the outraged bloviating. It is an election year. Karl Rove has already said that if it were up to the Democrats, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi would still be alive. The attacks on the press are part of a political effort by administration officials to use terrorism to divide America, and to scare their supporters to the polls again this year."

"The administration and its Congressional backers want to give the impression that they are fighting a courageous battle against those who would wittingly or unknowingly help the terrorists. And with four months left before Election Day, we can expect to hear many more outrageous claims about terrorism — from partisans on both sides. By now, sadly, Americans have come to expect it."

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/30/opinion/30clarke.html

And Mr. Clarke is right! The abuse by the Administration are treating the American people like trained dogs. They want to tell us how to sit and roll over. But, like any animal, like a dog, when you abuse the dogs too long, the dog attacks back. The American people are getting hip to the Gerbil' repeated programming of 9/11, Bin Laden, and terrorism that many are fighting back. And the attack on reporters and newspapers like the NY Times only adds fuel to the fire for people to get to polls come November. But, great article by Clarke!

I believe that you have pretty much expressed it as accurately as possible.
People like Clarke are very dangerous to the Bushies. Actually anyone with a BRAIN is a very dangerous threat to the current neocon jerkoffs. They do much better with Rapturers (whatever happened to 6/6/06 OOPS???)
Like all tyrants and despots, intellectual curiousity and inate intelligence in general is a threat. Terrorism is NOT an enemy, it is a tactic being used by this Administration to try and control the population.
What is even funnier, is that the trolls who visit this board have fallen right into their little plan. And they will be the first to lose, because the BushCos have no loyalty to anyone - and trolls are expendable. They are simply little mindless mouthpieces that say nothing and mean even less.

As people are beginning to wise up (even the Rapturers must be wondering why BushCo hasn't arranged that little item), they are seeing for themselves just what these "people" are.

I must admit though, I am a bit puzzled as to what they think they will accomplish in the long run? After all, eventually we'll all be dead and gone - even them - and they'll simply be a column in the local funnypapers. None of anything they are doing is going to stick. Our country is too great to fall for this schlock for any length of time.

We've gotten rid of crap before - and most of these politicians are simply fat old used up garbage.

I do admit curiousity though as to their incredible interest in everyone's sex life. Particularly gay sex. They seem insatiable on the subject - reminds me of the Salem Witch Trials and we all know how well that went.

We will see the end of their days - and they'll just be another 1 hour show on A&E on dictators and their non-success. (Oh for a bunker!)

You're right, it makes no sense. And it can't work.

They can't destroy us - it will involve a revolution and a civil war. Suppression of rights, suspension of habeas corpus, restriction of travel, seizure of passports. These are just a start.

They don't have that much ability to grab. They ARE just politicians and if you believe the states will roll over for these assh**es, you are very very wrong.

This country has risen up before, to take something back and we will do it again.

RE: Iraq - it cannot go on much longer without a draft. That's logistics...there aren't enough people volunteering to maintain the forces. We are spread too thin...we can't even, at this point, defend ourselves against a REAL enemy.

Folks,

From Thinkprogress, this is most bizarre and uncalled comment:

MSNBC regular advocates murder of newspaper editors.

"Talk show host Melanie Morgan tells Gregg Sargent, “the best solution that I can think of to deal with any newspaper editor…who is responsible for leaking national security classified information, is to be locked in a steel cage with the family members of slain troop members who would happily deliver the ultimate punishment of death. And then sent to the hottest corner of hell.”

2. Good comments from Bill Press:

So why condemn the Times alone for joining other media outlets in publishing a not-so-secret secret? Two simple reasons: The Times is a big, fat, liberal target conservatives love to hate. And, more importantly, they can’t defend the program.
The bank-monitoring scandal is just like the NSA phone-tap scandal. We all want the government to use every legal means to hunt down terrorists. Wherever there’s reasonable suspicion of terrorist activity, get a search warrant and be aggressive as hell. But the Treasury Department’s snooping on bank records of millions of law-abiding Americans, with no evidence of terrorist connections, no Congressional approval, and no court order, is the same as the NSA’s snooping on millions of phone records. It’s a giant fishing expedition. It’s unnecessary. It’s a gross invasion of personal privacy. And it’s un-American.
George Bush is only angry at the New York Times because, once again, he got caught invading our privacy and breaking the law. Unable to defend his unauthorized and unconstitutional spying on American citizens, he attacks the messenger, instead — accusing the media, by telling the truth, of undermining our national security.
Poor fool. He’s got it backwards. Once again, Thomas Jefferson: “The only security of all is in a free press.”
For the rest of us, we should get down on our knees and thank God for the New York Times. Without it, we wouldn’t know half of what this bunch of scoundrels is up to.

Folks,

This is too funny from Crooks and Liars from Keith Olbermann:

Olbermann took a deeper look into this bogus claim by Santorum and:

Olbermann: "Good Evening from New York. We have found Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. 15-year old Weapons of Mass Destruction that could give you the equivalent of a serious rug burn.
Our fifth story on the Countdown: Independent experts and the level-headed, staggering in amazement today, that deteriorated mustard gas canisters — at least fifteen years old and as much as "eighteen" years old — could be "palmed off" by desperate politicians as some kind of rationale for the deaths of 2500 American servicemen in Iraq.
Republican Senator, Rick Santorum, down 18 percent in the polls in his own re-election bid… "joined" by the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Representative Pete Hoekstra of Michigan… in pimping part of a two-month old military intelligence report describing the existence of old munitions shells with chemical weapons that are degraded, unusable, and non-threatening….

More update on the Smurf's trial:

"In an order Friday, U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton said he will wait to rule on the request until the judge in the California case holds a status conference Aug. 31 and sets a trial schedule."

"Meantime, Walton ordered lawyers in the Libby case to keep their calendars open for the trial to begin between Jan. 8 and Feb. 12 and the four to five weeks following each of those dates."

The Gerbil is still worming his way to create a new base for his hidden agenda.

From WSJ:

Another new nominee to the court circuit:

"Seeking to fill the seat vacated last year by now-Chief Justice John Roberts, President Bush nominated Peter Keisler to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
This is the second time Bush has nominated Kreisler, an assistant attorney general in the Justice Department’s civil division. Bush had nominated him for a Fourth Circuit judgeship during his first term, but Maryland’s two Democratic senators blocked the nomination because Keisler didn’t practice law in their state, which is part of the Fourth Circuit.
The 45-year-old Keisler worked at Sidley Austin from 1989 through 2002, before joining the Bush administration. Notably, he successfully represented the administration in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld before the D.C. Circuit. Yesterday, of course, the Supreme Court reversed the D.C. Circuit’s ruling."

How convenient that the Gerbil nominates the person who represented the administration in the Hamden Vs. Rumsfeld case. Interesting timing since the Gerbil lost the ruling to the Supreme Court yesterday.

2. And here is another person nominated to the Fed Board:

Mishkin Is Tapped for Fed Board
By HENRY J. PULIZZI
June 30, 2006 4:09 p.m.

President Bush Friday nominated Columbia University professor Frederic S. Mishkin to be a member of the Federal Reserve's board of governors, adding another expert on inflation targeting to the central bank's leadership.
If confirmed by the Senate, Mr. Miskin will fill the seat vacated by Roger Ferguson, who resigned in April, and serve the remainder of a 14-year term expiring in January 2014.
Mr. Mishkin, currently the Alfred Lerner Professor of Banking and Financial Institutions at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business, has a well-established relationship with Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke. In 1999, the two men, along with two others, authored a book on inflation targeting. The choice of Mr. Mishkin is likely to heighten speculation that the central bank may eventually embrace the strategy. Inflation targeting involves setting an explicit, numerical target for the inflation rate that the central bank tries to achieve.

There is website of all of people who have direct ties to Jack Abramoff. And it tells you who is indicted and convicted. This will tell you who is involved with Abramoff. The website was created by CREW. Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington targets government officials who sacrifice the common good to special interests.

The quote for the day from Ney:

"As with every office on Capitol Hill, where staffers work very long hours, there is inevitably turnover. In fact, according to a recent study by the Congressional Management Foundation, the average tenure for staff is a little over three years. What is notable however, is that all three of the staff members who will soon be leaving my office all worked for me for much longer than the average tenure."

Another Bush buddy
Former NYPD Chief Bernard Kerik Pleads Guilty to Taking Gifts in Corruption Probe, No Jail Time

Kerik was convicted on a pair of misdemeanors in a deal that spared him any jail time. He instead was ordered to pay $221,000 in fines at the 10-minute hearing.

Kerik acknowledged accepting $165,000 worth of renovations on his Bronx apartment from a company attempting to do business with the city a New Jersey construction firm with alleged links to the mob. He also admitted failing to report a loan as required by city law.

The plea bargain allows Kerik to continue his new career as a security consultant in the Middle East.

Prosecutors had considered bringing felony bribery charges against him based on allegations that in exchange for the renovations he helped the company, Interstate Industrial Corp., seek business with the city.

In entering his plea, Kerik admitted speaking with city officials about Interstate but never acknowledged a link between the renovations and his support of the company. Outside court, Kerik showed no sign of remorse and offered no apology.

Happy TGIF to everyone. I see Dr. Evil is hard at work. Nice comments by all and interesting. Notice that Judge Walton has a big decision to make on the CIA case. Let's see it will take from Sept. to Feb. for the fraud case. That's longer then Lay/Skilling cases both of them weren't that long. If 6 weeks is considered a long trial well this case must be a long one 20 weeks minus 4 weeks for holidays which brings this case to 16 weeks. I wonder when Libby's attorneys realized they had a 16 week trial. This will test the strength and control of Judge Walton or will he let Libby's attorney control his court.
As for Bush/Connie well lets face it that's what the men in the Bush family do. I do feel bad for the red states that have family values and morals as they follow Satan. Using the bible to fool people while living in sin that's the Bush policy.

As you mention about Daddy Warbucks and David Rockefeller, the only way to take the Gerbil is to cut the milk machine called money trail off. People have wonder why is the Gerbil still in office despite his disapproval ratings and protests. It is the money! It is the money that is being fed to certain officials for political and financial reasons. Yes, Warren Buffett can help. But, he can see that his own money is beimg pimped by the Prez and pocketed to himself and his buddies. I am pretty sure that the Gerbil was pissed at Buffett for giving about 34 billion (or 85% of his money) to the Gates Foundation for a good cause. And I know Hugo Chavez (whether you like him or not) would love to see the Gerbil crumble. And it was an eye opener to read his interview of what he offered the Gerbil to help the Katrina victims.

Biloxi,

Re: Richard Clarke...he's right.
A few questions pop up.

1. Why does the Gerbil Syndicate want us all Datamined ?(not talking about possible real terrorist [few])

2. Why does the Gerbil Syndicate want to know where our Money is going. (not talking aobut possible real terrorist [few])

I have a hunch it's to scope out and eventually arrest dissenters through his continued terror war/Civil Right negate tactics.

So the Terror War is driving Three Policies;

1. Money Moving/Defense Spending
2. Domestic Policy(Curtailing Civil Rights/Seeking out and quashing political Dissent before an election)
3. Foreign Policy and Money Schemes

Imho, To catch the Gerbil you gotta think Global and get out of the National Box. That's distastefull for me but I can pretend...

He doesn't care about our soverignty or weather any of us go hungry at night. It's all Intl Business with the Gerbil clan.

Think like Granpappy Prescott Gerbil
and the 1939 Nazi/IBM Syndicate.

That's a monumental task unless you already tied a string to that stick box and ready to collapse it! ;)

But on the bright side I'm sure the Global Politicos are starting to distrust Gerbils sour deals. Because alot of hidden International roaches have been exposed since Dumbya took "orifice".

International Roaches like the dark...that's a fact.

Maybe that's why it's all tasting like ripe grapefruit for them lately.. *Pungent Sour*

Question for legal genius...

Common Article Three of the Geneva Convention, which BushCo dismissed as irrelevant for three years, could bring prosecution for war crimes. Will this happen? also, the Hamdan ruling has restored a Democratic movement toward Human Rights and Justice for all, but will the evil BushCo over-ride this achievement?

Exactly, the Gerbil and Daddy Warbucks have alot of powerful corporations and leaders internationally that are part of the milk machine. This WH conspiracy and corruption go alot more than just within the states. The corruption expands international. But, all of this graft and corruption with the Gerbil Administration is in the name of legacy and power for the Bush family.

Two Final postings boys and girls:

1. The Bill and Ted Excellent Adventure Defense:

Guardian finds Afghan witnesses US couldn't

The US government said it could not find the men that Guantánamo detainee Abdullah Mujahid believes could help set him free. The Guardian found them in three days.

Two years ago the US military invited Mr Mujahid, a former Afghan police commander accused of plotting against the United States, to prove his innocence before a special military tribunal. As was his right, Mr Mujahid called four witnesses from Afghanistan.
But months later the tribunal president returned with bad news: the witnesses could not be found. Mr Mujahid's hopes sank and he was returned to the wire-mesh cell where he remains today.

Three days folks!

2. Be careful what you say!

"On December 18th, Colin Powell, the former Secretary of State, joined other prominent Washington figures at FedEx Field, the Redskins’ stadium, in a skybox belonging to the team’s owner. During the game, between the Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys, Powell spoke of a recent report in the Times which revealed that President Bush, in his pursuit of terrorists, had secretly authorized the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on American citizens without first obtaining a warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, as required by federal law."

"Addington,” he said. “He doesn’t care about the Constitution.” Powell was referring to David S. Addington, Vice-President Cheney’s chief of staff and his longtime principal legal adviser. Powell’s office says that he does not recall making the statement. But his former top aide, Lawrence Wilkerson, confirms that he and Powell shared this opinion of Addington."

Yes, but it goes more than that. It goes to the Gerbils wanting to please poppa and deliver to poppa and poppa's friend DavidR the USA all wrapped in a nice North American Union Box where the NAU's laws can circumvent all US laws.

Thereby delivering the NAU to the eventual 2010 planning of the unveiling of the Novus Ordem Seclorum(Pappy's NWO).

History: The Gerbil wanted to please poppa by delivering Saddam to his poppa. Dumbya has real mad that Saddam made an attempt on his life.

It's a family story after all and a rich spoiled kid who needs to spend about 80 years in a US hard labor prison for High Treason.

Good question, Global!

What does OBL know about our goverment that we don't know? I remember OBL sent a tape months after 9/11 and this reporter reported that OBL said that his intention of attacking the Twin towers were not to hurt the American people. It was to cripple the United States finanically. And this was only reported on one T.V. station. In the recent tape by OBL, it said that the same thing as what I just mention. OBL said that he wants to cripple U.S. financially. Is OBL getting what he wants? Yes! Look at our U.S. debt! And the way that the Gerbil is throwing away tax payers' money. Look at the Gerbil's track record as a business owner especially the baseball team that he owned. And he drove that business in the ground. And let's not forget the oil business that his daddy gave him. He drove that into the ground. Now, he has the U.S. economy, the CEO of Stupidity.org,he drove that into the ground!

Please make checks payable to the 80 billionairs here in Germany.

...and send Mr. Pinkerton home - he's being made fun here. We are tired of laughing at his expense. He's tired of this too.

And once you have done all that, no strings, attached. For example, when we treat them humanely and release them, don't say we are harboring terrorists and give us 48 hour notice.

New claims that former Orange Beach Mayor Steve Russo, aided by developer Jim Brown, reaped a profit of $400,000 in a one-day real estate deal are made by an FBI agent in documents recently unsealed in the U.S. government's corruption case against Russo.

The two near-identical affidavits, which Special Agent Adam Scholtz used to obtain search warrants for Russo's condo, safety deposit box and a self-storage unit, also add detail to prosecutors' previous allegations.

Russo's properties were searched by investigators on the same January day that state and federal indictments against the then-mayor were unsealed, according to court records. (more)

Could it be that Internet users are getting tired of political sites in general? Maybe so. But http://moveon.org is up 13 percent in the same period.

President Bush's fall from grace has been well documented by poll-after-poll. The unpopularity of Congress may not be at historic lows, but those 20-something level of support numbers can't be comforting to those who manage things on Capitol Hill.

It seems logical that with enthusiasm draining from the right- wing movement that put the president and the current Congress in place, the media chorus that has lavished praise on them all these many years would be affected by the change in fortune.

Condi's Inner Life
What Freudian slips do—or don't—tell us about politicians.
By Laura Kipnis
Posted Monday, April 26, 2004, at 6:36 PM ET
Could preternaturally self-composed National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice actually have a roiling inner life? Is she tormented by needs, longings, embarrassing fantasies? So the world wondered after New York reported what it benevolently called a "poignant faux pas" committed by Rice at a recent D.C. dinner party. What Rice reportedly said was this: "As I was telling my husb—" before abruptly breaking off and correcting herself: "As I was telling President Bush." Jaws dropped, we're told. And though nobody thinks Bush and Rice are "actually an item," we were nevertheless reminded that the unmarried Condi does regularly spend weekends with the president and first lady.
Whether this happened exactly as reported has since been questioned in a second leak—and in fact it seems that while Rice said the first thing, she didn't go on to say, "As I was telling President Bush." But as we see, whenever politicians make (or are suspected of making) Freudian slips, the media get very wound up. But how should we construe the meaning of such unintentional locutions in the political classes? The conventional understanding of what Freud himself called "parapraxes"—slips of the tongue or the pen, also losing, forgetting, and mishearing things—is that what emerges in these moments are glimpses of something repressed or unconscious. We're composed of an inside and an outside in this account, the outside being the thin veneer of socialization and repression that holds all manner of pleasure-seeking urges and infantile wishes at bay. (You know, marry dad … or the boss.) And as everyone knows, because pop Freudianism permeates our culture's understanding of how selves operate (even as psychoanalysis itself fast becomes a doctrine in decline), such slips aren't random or innocent, they reveal something.
This view is now so standard that it can serve as a regular premise for sitcom humor without requiring the least explication of the principle. But even those who reject the premise generally still adhere to some version of the inner-life/outer-life dichotomy, and whether it's a soul or just some vague inner being residing in there, what's "underneath" is invariably understood to be more true than what's exterior. You do find the occasional dissenter who rejects the whole model, notably Oscar Wilde, for whom surfaces were far more interesting: "It is only shallow people who do not judge by appearances. The mystery of the world is the visible, not the invisible."

Lol...Oscar Wilde's variation of Taoism:

"gravity is the root of lightness"
is without doubt, a source of refection.

Although psychoanalysis itself is indeed "a doctrine in decline", transactionalanalysis has more than taken up it's shortcomings.

Transactionalanalysis's most interesting aspect is it's short-term predictions of what is about to be said. Trivial examples are the universal greeting "hi", to which the response is: "hi", or the same response.

Some predictions are elementary. A case in point is the famous "troll" here on this blog. Actually it doesn't take much psychoanalysis or
transactionalanalysis to know what this "troll" is going to say. Kids are in some circumstances quite predictable. (To date, this "troll" hasn't left his "kid" mode, when responding here) However, we like to come here too have "fun", we go into "kid" mode and have fun too. It's sharing "kid"(fun) as well as "adult" news.

At the time of Condi's utterance she was in her "parent" mode, and abruptly switched to "adult" mode.

It shouldn't come to anyone's surprise, that 90% of what we say, comes from what we heard and learned from our parents.
There was no reason to question what was being said, because it's purpose was to learn the language, its meaning, and not the ramifications those meanings could have.

Bush's life script and fate are sealed, just as his fathers' fate was sealed. He stills learns, but he has never learned to question that which he learns or has learned.

Now before any journalist could leave they were asked by the White House not to print her comments. The journalist who printed the article was a free lance journalist and he left before the event was over and never got the order by the White House. Also Connie lives on the Bush ranch as was told by George W. Bush on TV. And the famous kiss twice when appointing Connie Secretary of State was seen and heard around the world. I couldn't believe my eyes yet the ladies on the View showed to three times just to make sure we saw it right.
