You are innocent until proven guilty. This the same as for I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby (which we bloggers think that he is guilty. And as Fitz said his press conference that Libby is presumed innocent!) and other people that are arrested under a suspicion. I am sure that Fitzgerald will agree with me.
A: Mel Gibson was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in Malibu, Calif. early this morning for suspicion of DUI or DWI.
B: "The investigation was still ongoing, just like it would be with any other person."
C: EXCLUSIVE UPDATE: A sheriff's official told TMZ Gibson had a blood alcohol level of .12. The legal limit in the state of California is .08.
Now, wine, beer, and medication can also be contribute to high blood alcohol level testing. Actress, Tracy Gold, was arrested not to long ago for DUI/DWI and child endangerment in a car crash while drving under the influence. She claimed that she and her husband went to a party with kids and she had a glass of wine. She claimed that she only had two. But, her blood alcohol was above the legal limit.. She claimed that she didn't know how much of wine that her body can take.. My girlfriend taped her on Oprah some time ago.
Another thing: Tests can be false positive of the officer he does the test has a cellphone or police radio in his or her possession. The Supreme Court in N.J. has a standing case from above reasons.
I can't judge Gibson. There could be alot of reasons... We have to wait to see the concrete evidence and his court hearing. On a side note, the man who won the Tour the France is accused of testing positive for drugs... He claims that he is innocent. So, as I said, innocent until proven guilty!
So what did the word "alleged" mean when I wrote it:

There are probably lots of non-drug reasons why a man would test for high levels of testosterone, and probably only Dr. Ruth can explain it. And, I really do not want to know those kinds of answers!!

correction to my statement GEF when I said that he was tested positive for drugs.. I forgot to add that it is a possible sign of the use of steroids from his testing postitve for testosterone.. But, still they are trying to link him to drugs! Lance Armstrong was a victim to being accused and now this guy.. We will see what happen.. But, it is ashamed that people are jumpingto conclusions about this guy and we don't have all the facts yet!

Bush has succeeded in causing chaos around the world as Cheney helps his big business friends. After Nov. we'll start seeing how much Bush has cost Americans.
Now as for Mel Gibson and his DWI well SPB is right. I've seen so many people charged with crimes that end up not guilty. Yes it's the American way to see guilt before innocence but the legal system has it's own rules. Mel's problems aren't as important as the problems facing our country. We have to start looking at the big problems of our country and stop putting Actors/Actresses as front page news, their just people like the rest of us.

T the polls don't show half of it. So many of Bush's base have turned and the actions of Bush/Rove show they know it. I just want honest election officials and I feel bad for the Republicans that have to suffer for the bad ones.
As for the Bush lies and corruption I see light coming and it's getting closer. The world now is reacting to Bush's lies and thank goodness many Americans now see the lies too.

Families bristle at word of tour extension
For some families of soldiers in the 172nd Stryker Brigade, the July 27 announcement of the extension of their tour in Iraq was just too much.
Some of them are joining the ranks of the anti-war group Military Families Speak Out. We've had a whole group of people who have joined since the announcement, said Nancy Lessin, co-founder of the group. She was working to get an exact count at press time, and said e-mails are still coming in to the organization.
They are having meetings at families homes, she said. Many family members hold their breath until their loved one gets home, and then speak out, she said. But something like this puts them over the edge.
There has never before been a group of military families breaking the code of silence like this, she said. It speaks to the horrific nature of the invasion and now occupation of Iraq.
Lessin and her husband, Charley Richardson of Boston, founded the organization with another military family in November, 2002, to speak out against military action in Iraq. Their Marine son served in Iraq in 2003.
The organization now has grown to more than 3,000 military family members. Most are parents or spouses or fiances of troops, she said, but there are also siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and children.
