CIA Contractor Is Fired When Internal Post Crosses the Line

Washington D.C. - Christine Axsmith, a software contractor for the CIA, considered her blog a success within the select circle of people who could actually access it.

Only people with top-secret security clearances could read her musings, which were posted on Intelink, the intelligence community's classified intranet. Writing as Covert Communications, CC for short, she opined in her online journal on such national security conundrums as stagflation, the war of ideas in the Middle East and -- in her most popular post -- bad food in the CIA cafeteria. <more>

Side note - IMHO, if there ever was a case of not approving top secret clearance = Tony Snow.

Free speech ends when the employer's clock starts ticking and afterwards, too. Do I use my real name here? No way! At some point, I may decide to get a better job. Even potential employers now 'Google' job applicants names to find out what is out there, whether is accurate or not. (BTW, there are at least two more Patrick J. Fitzgeralds out there, one writes books for children and the other is an expert on pancreatic cancer). :-)

Also, the government, companies, etc. own the e-mail accounts, the computers, telecommunications lines, etc. The CIA computer expert wrote about bad cafeteria food, what if someone was tying up the routers and hogging bandwidth, slowing down everyone connected to the network by downloading huge music and video files that were not job-related? Wow, that was so not smart to poke fun about the Geneva Conventions using the CIA's own computer equipment.

I know this lady is toast. I think she can probably forget about suing for wrongful termination, but I am not a lawyer.

I think Tony Snow is somehow related to Chrissy Snow from "Three's Company." SPB, you know you can get on my case for that wisecrack. ;-)

Very spooky...but Tony Snow can do as he pleases and dance naked in the WH with no clearance.

On a brighter note-two Ohio politicians kissed and made up. I had a tiny hand in convincing the self-described Irish hothead ;-)

Hackett apologizes to, supports Brown

Hackett's conversion came last week. He decided it was pointless to continue the political feud left over from his short-lived primary campaign against Brown, a feud that could have been helping Republican Sen. Mike DeWine's efforts to stay in office.

"This is my evolution as a hot-headed Irishman," Hackett said. "Look, let's get over this."

DeWine also ran smear ads against astronaut John Glenn. I wanna file a complaint against DeWine for trying to weasel dubya's way out of FISA..it's gotta be unethical.

In regards to this post...

I think it's wrong that they terminated her...

but not surprising considering the climate in the government these days...

However, as a software engineer, she SHOULD know that she is using "company" equipment on "company" time to blog...and she SHOULD know the laws...

I am constantly telling people I work with or that I consult with that they should not use business computers for private use...and to not use their company email account for private use...I have been an email & web server administrator, network admin, etc...nothing is private at a business...

Now some businesses are lax in their policies or do not have it in writing...however -- if an employer one day wants to get rid of you...all they have to do is dig up the goods from your email or internet surfing history...sieze your work computer and do forensics on the hard drive of your workstation or laptop...and legally you are toast and out of a job...

so beware fellow bloggers that anything you do at work can be used against you at another time...especially if managers change or politics.

Found this interesting from MSNBC, one more corrupt government official:

HHS chief’s tax deductions under scrutiny

"Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt and his relatives have claimed millions of dollars in tax deductions through a type of charitable foundation they created that until recently paid out very little in actual charity, tax records show.

Instead, much of the foundation's money has been invested or lent to the family's business interests and real estate holdings, or contributed to the Leavitt family genealogical society....

...But Rick Cohen, executive director of the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, said that "the Leavitts are using the foundation as a personal piggy bank, and that's not what the public -- or Congress -- ought to tolerate." Cohen reviewed the family foundation's records and tax returns at the request of The Washington Post..."

On the Superhigway front, from Newsvine.com:

"Leroy Walters has survived many a threat on the farm that has been in his family for 120 years — droughts, hailstorms, tornadoes, grasshopper attacks.

But now he sees a manmade danger on the horizon: a colossal, 600-mile superhighway that will plow clear across the state of Texas, perhaps cutting through Walters' sorghum and corn fields, obliterating the family's houses and robbing his grandchildren of their land.

"I don't think they're going to want to pay a toll to go across this land," he said. "They want to enjoy it free, as Texans should enjoy it."

That kind of fear and anger among farmers and other landowners across the Texas countryside could become a political problem for Republican Gov. Rick Perry as he runs for re-election in November...

...The opposition comes in several forms: Some see it as an assault on private property rights; some object to putting the project in foreign hands (it will be built and operated by a U.S.-Spanish consortium); and some see the project as an affront to open government because part of the contract with Cintra-Zachry is secret.

Of Perry's major opponents — Democrat Chris Bell and independents Carole Keeton Strayhorn and Kinky Friedman — Strayhorn has stirred the most fury.

At campaign stops she calls the plan the "Trans Texas Catastrophe," a "$184 billion boondoggle" and a "land grab" of historic proportions. She refers to Perry's appointees on the transportation commission as "highway henchmen." She lets loose with Texas-twanged jabs at the contract with the "foreign" Cintra-Zachry."

Personally, I wonder how people can have time to blog on their jobs but if this woman did blog while working for the CIA and they knew about it and seemed ok with it, they should have set boundries for her blogging. It is okay to blog until we say something the employer doesn't like?

I'm curious, does the CIA people try out the torture techniques on each other first to see if they work or counter-act if they were captured? Have they done studies to see if torture creates more terrorists? Anyone?

Another thing for the city-slickers, in some states you might have to travel 20 or so miles to get groceries since the small town grocery store can no longer make it. (thanks, Wal-Mart) Huge gas prices and tolls to get food that no doubt will rise in price also...but hey! Rep. Jim Ryun says the minumum wage doesn't need raised nor do we need paper trail voting systems. And yes, he responds so polite to my emails about these issues. Negroponte blocks analysis of Iraq civil war

Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte is preventing a thorough examination by intelligence analysts of the civil war in Iraq, RAW STORY has learned.

A report at Washington Babylon, the blog of Harper's Magazine's Washington Editor Ken Silverstein, indicates that Iraq analysts at the CIA have been pushing to complete a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on the political situation in the country. NIE's are the most authoritative intelligence documents produced by the CIA, and the last NIE on Iraq was rejected by the Bush administration for being too negative.

United States Special Forces Seize Control Of Israeli Nuclear Weapons Complex
By: Sorcha Faal, and as reported to her Russian Subscribers
Russian Military Analysts, and FSB sources, are reporting today that United States Military Special Forces have seized control of the nation of Israel’s nuclear complex located at Dimona with a contingent of their Special Forces Troops from the American war zone currently located in Iraq.
These reports detail that this action by the American Military Leadership was in direct response to China’s President Hu’s ‘threat to the American President that should the Straight of Hormoz be blockaded by Iran, due to the escalating crisis between Israel and its Muslim neighbors, China would consider that action as a ‘declaration of war’ against the Chinese people.
The America response to this ‘threat’ from China, coming from China’s President Hu in his ‘face-to-face’ meeting with the United States President Bush at the G-8 Summit, was to assure both China’s President Hu, and Russia’s President Putin, that the American Military Leadership would ‘secure’ Israel’s nuclear weapons and limit their, Israel’s, incursion into Lebanon.
In return for the American Military Leadership’s securing Israel’s nuclear weapons both President Putin and President Hu have allowed a ’72-hour-window’ for Israel to secure its Northern Border with Lebanon, with the ‘understanding’ that Israel will not attack either Syria or Iran, and whom Israel has blamed for being the instigators behind this current war.
These reports further detail that the American President has dispatched his Secretary of State to report to Israel’s Prime Minister Olmert the full details of this agreement, but which these reports state that the government of Israel is in ‘violent’ opposition to.
We expect another update within the next 24 hours on these issue, and which we will report to you once received.

From Rawstory.com:

"Buchanan slam neocons for Mideast 'warmongering'" -- Buchanan was on hardball yesterday

his quote about the neocons:

"In response to Mr Shrum, you attack Iran, Hezbollah will retaliate against the 25,000 Americans in Lebanon. You will have massive hostage taking and killings. Are these people nuts? You've got to ask yourself. I certainly hope the president is not listening to them because I really question whether they've got America's national interest at heart. They're calling for wars against people that never attacked us. I don't care how bad they are. There are wicked people all over this world but you don't go after people unless they come after you."

How to Create a "Terrorist"

1. Take a happily married man with a couple of kids, a comfortable house, and a reasonable job.
2. Drop a bomb on his house while he is at work.
3. Tell this man his wife and kids are dead.
4. Let him see what remains of his house and family.
5. Bomb his workplace.
6. Destroy the infrastructure around him.
7. Give him some time to contemplate the circumstances of his life.

She is only the messager for Cheney not like Mr. Powell who was a real Secretary of State until he lied to the UN.

Well, I had to address first Night Owl's comments about Tony Blowjob being Chrissy Snow from Three's Company. Yes, Blowjob is the male's version of Chrissy Snow. For example, from Thinkprogress:

Here is Snowjob's press conference:

QUESTION: If he is proud of the diversity in his Cabinet, wouldn’t you expect him to improve diversity amongst the White House staff?
SNOW: What the president does is he looks for the best available people.
QUESTION: And they’re all white?
SNOW: I don’t know. Why don’t you tell me?
You can come aboard and do personnel. You want it?
QUESTION: I’m asking a question.
SNOW: I know you are, but it’s an argumentative question that also applied to other previous administrations. Would we like more blacks and Hispanics on? Yes, sure.
QUESTION: And Asians?
SNOW: Asians, too, yes, thank you. Let me leave no one behind. Just, every group, raise your hand, we want you.

The National Journal reports that, among the top 20 White House staffers, “there are no African-Americans or Asians…and only one Hispanic.”

And there you have it! The new male Chrissy Snow as the WH Press Secretary!

HOMELAND SECURITY -- TWO YEARS LATER, BUSH ADMINISTRATION FAILS ON 9/11 COMMISSION RECOMMENDATIONS: Tomorrow marks the two year anniversary of the 9/11 Commission's final report. President Bush has consistently touted his administration's accomplishments in securing the nation, stating in 2005, "In the three and a half years since September the 11th, 2001, we have taken unprecedented actions to protect Americans." But a new report released today by members of the House Homeland Security Committee finds that the administration has actually fallen far short in fulfilling the Commission's recommendations. The Bush administration's lowest grades -- an F -- were on its inability to provide radio equipment to first responders, allocate homeland security funds based on risk, and improve airline passenger screening. "This report card just reiterates that the Department of Homeland Security is satisfied with mediocrity, but the American people are not. ...

A short exchange between President Bush and NAACP Chairman Julian Bond that referenced some individuals in the crowd yesterday who were heckling the president was removed from the official White House transcript. The White House described the disruption as "applause."

they are plotting there way into War ith Iran

Informed sources have told WMR that arch-neocon Michael Ledeen, who acts as an unofficial foreign policy adviser to Karl Rove, was at the White House yesterday with a group of Iranian opposition figures. Among the topics discussed was a promised $25 million grant by the Bush administration to the Iranian insurgents. The money is to be used to plant Desert Storm-vintage biological and chemical weapons shells, confiscated by U.S. forces in Iraq, on the Iranian side of the Iraqi border. The weapons will be used as "proof" of Iran's plan to "attack" U.S. troops in Iraq. That will be used to justify, ex post facto, the coming U.S. attack on Iran. Our sources report that George W. Bush dropped by the White House meeting to offer his support to the Iranian opposition operatives.

US intelligence chief blocks analysis of Iraq civil war

RAW STORY
Published: Friday July 21, 2006

Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte is preventing a thorough examination by intelligence analysts of the civil war in Iraq, RAW STORY has learned.

A report at Washington Babylon, the blog of Harper's Magazine's Washington Editor Ken Silverstein, indicates that Iraq analysts at the CIA have been pushing to complete a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on the political situation in the country. NIE's are the most authoritative intelligence documents produced by the CIA, and the last NIE on Iraq was rejected by the Bush administration for being too negative.

“What do you call the situation in Iraq right now?” asked one person familiar with the situation. “The analysts know that it's a civil war, but there's a feeling at the top that [using that term] will complicate matters.” Negroponte, said another source regarding the potential impact of a pessimistic assessment, “doesn't want the president to have to deal with that.”

The sources said that forces at the CIA have been lobbying for the new NIE for about six months. Not only is one overdue, but there's also a fear that if the Democrats win control of at least one chamber of Congress this November, the agency is going to get hammered for not having produced an NIE for so long.

When the topic of a new NIE was first raised, the Directorate of National Intelligence agreed to consider the matter, but advocates heard nothing back. They raised the topic again several months ago and were told that Negroponte was still mulling over the matter. Since then, there's been no indication that the DNI intends to authorize a new NIE. “He's not going to allow [analysts] to call the situation warts and all,” said one source. “There's real angst about it inside.”

The Press Assistant is responsible for monitoring media for various national security and domestic issues, informing the Press Secretary and Deputy Press Secretary of issues of note and factual inaccuracies in the media. The Press Assistant interacts daily with members of the White House press corps, speaking to the press regarding the Vice President's schedule. Is it true that Israel kidnapped a doctor and his brother from Gaza before the soldier was kidnapped by Hamas and that "Palestine" was being punished for electing Hamas as leaders? Then, to take the pressure off, Hezbollah stepped up so Israel would have to fight on two fronts? Since the people in Gaza were being destroyed?...and no one really said a thing nor reported anything about the doctor and his brother?

I don't believe in any of that violence but to not report what Israel or the Zionists do is unfair to all parties involved including to their own people. One would have to be a fool to think we are hearing both sides of the story, with billions of dollars spent on propaganda in this country and the same sorry people beating the war drums....we seen the "truth" they told about Iraq, Afghanistan and even 9/11. David Bermingham, Giles Darby and Gary Mulgrew were extradited to Houston last week to face criminal charges. They have been staying in Houston, electronic bracelets around their ankles, under the supervision of defense attorney Dan Cogdell since last week, when a U.S. Federal Magistrate Stephen Smith released them on bond pending today’s hearing.
Their lawyers argued that they should be able to return to the U.K. while they await trial, which is scheduled for Sept. 11. Judge Smith refused the requests, ruling that his court has never released a defendant on bond to somewhere beyond the court’s jurisdiction.
The trio’s plight has become a cause celebre in the U.K. Tony Blair has been widely criticized there for not blocking their extradition under a controversial treaty with the U.S., which the U.S. has yet to ratify. Wrote the Economist last week: “There is a growing sense of injustice over the terms of the treaty, which make it easier for America to get its hands on suspects in Britain than vice versa, and the fact that America has not yet bothered to ratify it.” Contributing to the unease, it says, is “a lurking resentment of America’s power and the belief that the British government is in thrall to it.’

Roger, I did not deny that it was a chemical weapon. I am questioning whether or not the thing actually got blasted off into Lebanon! That picture could be from something else and stuck in there to make people think there Israel was shooting off chemical weapons. I really question that picture because those dudes look like they are off for a Sunday picnic (except for the heavy equipment) and they are not dressed for a serious battle.

Let's take a made up example. Say a reporter wants to make up garbage. This hypothetical unreliable (lying) reporter could take a picture from something else, like from a training manual, etc. and say, Look here! They are shooting off weapons at another country when no weapons were shot off at all, it was just a picture from training.

This skepticism of mine comes from having a communications/journalism buddy in college. It was way too much fun to take garbage news and pick it apart. For some assignments, the prof would hand out books and say, part of this is BS, find out which parts are BS and what is not, how is it BS, and prove that it is BS. If more teachers taught that way, we would have fewer people in the U.S. falling for propanganda, no matter the source, be it WMR or the WH.

Back to the Enron and Citigroup scandal from yesterday...Citigroup paid $2.65 Billion! Amazing!

"Citigroup was also accused of helping Enron and other companies hide their losses by loaning money to those companies in a special way that would reduce liabilities visible on the balance sheet. In May 2004 the company agreed to pay $2.65 billion, or $1.64 billion after tax, to settle a class action lawsuit brought on behalf of purchasers of WorldCom securities."

Yeah, I knew that Citigroup had to pay big bucks from the Enron scam. I saw that in the WSJ some time ago. Citigroup still have pending lawsuits of different matters. But, it still doesn't alleviate the fact that Lieberman didn't want Rubin's testimony in the Senate investigation of Enron. Again, a CYA coverup of Lieberman to Rubin.

Inside Washington
George W. Bush did not invent the document known as the presidential signing statement; he inherited it. Franklin Roosevelt, Bill Clinton, and even James Monroe, in 1830, authored the statements, which spell out the president's sometimes controversial interpretation of the very law he's signing. But no president has used signing statements quite like Bush.

Snow: ‘Nobody Has Been More Diplomatically Active Than We Have’ On The Middle East Peace Process »

This morning on the Today Show, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow argued that “nobody has been more diplomatically active than we have” in the Middle East, citing all the phone calls White House officials have made in recent days:

In contrast, the Bush administration has taken a “hands off approach,” and has derided diplomatic efforts as “naive and ineffectual.” Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will finally visit the region next week, but has rejected calls to press for a cease-fire.

And where in the hell is the fashion police on Blowjob's attire? It is bad enough that he is collecting a paycheck without a security clearance. But, damn, do something about that attire! Back to your comedy GEF...cause that's a good one. Your eurocentrism is showing...

From Micheal German FBI, Law Vs. War

What we have to realize is that this is not a struggle of ideologies; it is not Islam against Christianity or fundamentalism versus secularism. This is a battle for legitimacy, and as such, it is one that we should easily win. As an open and free society regulated by the rule of law, we offer a future of peace and prosperity that the jihadist movement does not. Its resort to terrorism is a sign of weakness, not of strength.
We need to avoid the trap of demonizing our enemies, of dividing the world between “us” and “them” as the terrorist does. As former Weather Underground member, Brian Flanagan said in a recent documentary, “if you think that you have the moral high-ground…you can do some really dreadful things.” That goes for both sides. Respect for the rule of law, international conventions and treaty obligations will not make us weaker, it will endanger international cooperation and good will that make it impossible for extremist’s movements to prosper. I have heard commentators suggest that we are losing the propaganda battle in the Middle East, but that misses the point entirely. The term propaganda connotes a fabrication or a spinning of facts to support one’s position, and that is exactly what we must not do. In a battle for legitimacy, honesty and accountability are the most effective ammunition.
Terrorism will never go away, and free and open societies will always be especially vulnerable. But we do not win by becoming less free and less open. Ironically, al Qaeda does not have the power to destroy the United States of America. But we do.

Now you understand I why I was pissed of at Snowjob from my comment that I posted. It is bad enough that he doesn't qualify for the WH press secretary job but to have him roaming around the WH without a security clearance card and dictating to the press. One reason that it pissed me off is that I know people who worked for the government (before the Gerbil crwaled in to the WH) that had to go through the pain stakes of getting a secretary clearance card. And the American people are being double taxed for sales tax and 9/11 travel fees for the name of terrorism and we have dimwit walking around this earth with no means of support in a job with no security clearance card! They won't be in power forever GEF, that is impossible. Hitler and Neopolian are gone, ya know.

Besides impeachment from grass roots level-forcing the House to investigate bypassing Judical committes- also working on ABA to reprimand (at the least) lawyers in congress and senate who failed to uphold the constitution. I have pictures of them swearing to do so-AKA 'evidence'

Blah, blah on your war argument-as you stated it is not-as I have said before-this country experienced REAL terrorist activity in the 70's- 'no patriot act' 'no WOT' ever declared then-but the problem was solved by good ole law enforcment tactics. Not war.
It's not much, but if we want democracy within a republic-it's what we've got to use, thanks to Jefferson

You know T, that's exactly what I was thinking. In order to fight this war you would employ crack special forces officers, not the Military...

If you wantta hunt a wolf, you don't send War Ants(no disrespect meant). You send well trained pack dogs!

..The same thing domestically. Special Police officers just like the old Vice squad.

No need for Patriot-Act or any other sick acts and no need to destroy our Republic in order do what we already learned how to do with the drug war.

I'd like to think I'm part of the solution, but if I'm wrong I'd gladly step aside and call it a day.

Ya'll got into the happy pills again, didn't ya?

The CIA computer blogger lady firing is not the same as Wilson-Plame. I do not have all night to explain the differences. The Cliffe Notes version is the CIA computer blogger was caught goofing off at work on the CIA's equipment which is not even close to the Plame - Wilson thing.

I do have excellent quotes from the July 24th, Time Magazine, article entitled "The Iran Factor" by Joe Klein, p. 31:

"But it is also clear now that a major consequence of George W. Bush's disatrous foreign policy has been an emboldened Iran. The U.S. 'has been Iran's very best friend,' a diplomat from a predominantly Sunni nation told me recently. 'You have eliminated its enemies, the Taliban and Saddam Hussein.'"

Further down is another great quote on the last Palestinian elections:

"'The only people who want those elections are Condi Rice and Hamas,' a prominent member of Israel's Kadima party told me just before Hamas won the election. A more careful and collegial U.S. Middle East policy might have forced the simultaneous disarming of Hizballah as Syrian troops left Lebanon in 2005."

Joe Klein, where ever you are, you 'get it.'

CT-SEN: Neocon Bill Kristol Donates to Lieberman

This news won't make Joe Lieberman's foes any happier with their nemesis. It turns out that Lieberman got a $500 contribution from Bill Kristol, the Iraq-war-supporting neoconservative editor of the Weekly Standard.
It appears to be Kristol's first donation of over $200 since 1998, and all his other contributions have been to Republicans. Also interesting: Over 80 percent of Lieberman's donations in May and June came from out of state. Incidentally, we already know that Lieberman agrees with Kristol on Iraq. What about Kristol’s calls for war with Iran?

Whether it be a phone call, letter or fax, the medium does not matter, it’s all about the communication. Since Luskin made the communication public, the medium – a fax – can also be made public."

The PEST is back. Yes, it absofreakinglutely matters whether it be a phone call, letter, or fax. A phone call is not a written and signed document. A letter is a written and signed document. A fax? Geez!

Top of the morning all
The NYTimes reports that the US is shipping weapons to Israel for them to use with their invasion of Lebanon. So much for not taking sides. Now I wonder if Iran/Syria gave Lebanon weapons would that be a good reason for the US to attack those countries. Bush said that the US would not get involved and that Iran/Syria were helping Lebanon. Well Dr. Rice's trip is for nothing as the plan is already done for the US to invade Iran/Syria for reasons based on lies as was done with Iraq.

9:45 AM
Blogger Kay Shelton said...

I hope Israel **PAYS** for the weapons. As a taxpayer, I should just send them the bill. Israel can just pay me directly and I can use that instead of a tax refund next year. That would save the GAO and the IRS some paperwork. >;-) The U.S. has been a very bad parent to Israel, letting them mooch off the family fortune for all these years. Israel needs to grow up, move out of the house, and go earn their own money.

It really does not matter from where the weapons from Hezbollah came. When drug dealers shoot innocent kids in drive bys, do we go bomb the people and places where they got the guns into oblivion? Then, we should not go bomb Syria and Iran. But I am certainly for Syria and Iran *not* supplying anyone with anymore weapons. Syria and Iran are actually not direct threats to the U.S., at least not yet. There are some bad people hanging out in both countries who need to be arrested, but that is not enough of a reason to go bomb them.

This is *not* a done deal. If enough people stand up, make some noise, and tell this goverment that they do not get to lie again and drag us into another war, then we will not go to war. But, everyone needs to wake up, and wake up fast.

'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.'

This is a very bad situation, which is why the U.S. needs to stay out of it. This has the potential to turn into a multi-country catastrophic disaster, and if that happens, no one will win.

Translation:
Israel may not, what does it!
"The largest mistake that Israel presently could make, to is forgotten that Israel itself is a mistake. It is an honest mistake, a well planned mistake, a mistake for which no punishable is; but the idea of the Erschaffung of a nation European Jews in the Areal of the Arabic moslem (and some Christians) a century of warfare and the terrorism of that type produced, that we see now," Richard Cohen, columnist of the washington Post wrote, on Tuesday under the impression of that novel Barbarentums, that the weapon stiff, of that Highly armed military equipment of the country Israel of these days in Lebanon executes.
Shimon Perez' Jahrhundertlüge
At the past Sunday, five days after Israel attacked the Lebanons, put Shimon Perez, Israel of deputy prime ministers Shimon, in a live-interview on al hurrah TV: "Israel attackiert or destroys in no case the civil infrastructure. All goals that were destroyed are places and locations of the Hisbollah. There are no dead civilians; all killed are Hisbollah-fighter. "in view of the numbers published at the day nine the attack in Lebanon, 299 killed civilians, under that one-third of children, an unprecedented Jahrhundertlüge. As "absolutely dubiously", commented on Peres the statements even yet on Thursday as if it would not know, that its F-16-Kampfflugzeuge grace loose children slaughter and all, really all, in Lebanon to reason and ground presently bombs: Hospitals, ambulance, Medizintransporte, fugitive convoys, schools, milk factories and groceries factories, the palette is long; bridges and streets anyway, in short the total infrastructure of a poor country. Statements verhöhnen inconceivable Shimon Perez the victims!
Perez lies the world public on in order to disguise the true intentions of the political leadership of its country. Hassan Huri, chief editor of the Lebenese magazine for politics and company "al-Idarij", brought Israel goals of true on Monday vis-à-vis the Russian news agency RIA Novosti on the point: "The reason for the raging attacks Israels on Lebanon is not the kidnapping of the israeli soldiers, but rather the endeavoring, its politics and the politics of the USA vis-à-vis Lebanon, Palestine and everywhere in that sewed to dictate East. Did if it really only the soldiers want to free, they would destroy then the total infrastructure of the Lebanon and would unload its bombs on the heads of peaceful inhabitants?"
Why does Israel lead this war?
It, that "Balkanisierung" sewed the and Southwest Asia to initiate, was goal of the cunning car bombs attempt on the former Lebenese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri on the 14 February 2005. After the murder made itself in the country of the cedar one of these modern "fruit revolutions and vegetable revolutions", named cedar revolution, extend. The "democrats" at that Washington Potomac interfered diligently into the internal matters of the "awaking" democracy, made the UN fire under the rear, so that the bosses of the commissions whom the murder of Hariri of "examined", under that our German special case Detlev Mehlis settles, speedily that Washington wish culprit Syria as a manipulator at the crime. Washington forced "free" choices in the Lebanon and installed a political cabaret under Prime Minister Fouad sinuses Us that did not tick however after the democratic ignition clock of the US-administration. The government was a total loss; it did not succeed its to disarm the Hisbollah how it demands that on pressure of the USA and Israel resolution of come into being 1559 the UN security council. The Hisbollah has the USA on the list of its "terror organizations". Moreover the UN-commissions in things did not make headway murder case Hariri with the construction of the proof buildings against Damascus in order to bring the regime there into the wavering; in Washington, the außersyrische opposition stood already for the takeover in Syria weapon in foot.
Background of this strategy: The Study Group on a New generated 1996 Israeli Strategy Toward 2000, a group of US-Neokonservativen of the Think-tank resident private in Washington and Jerusalem of The institutes for Advanced Strategy and Political studies, a planning document with the title "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm "for the at that time israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanjahu. In the martial pamphlet, the neokonservativen strategists proposed should terminate, Israel the Oslo peace agreement with the Palestinians, march with its army into its autonomy zone, hereafter Iraq, Syria that Lebanons militarily attack and the Irans and the governments of these countries fall. In the fire letter stands: "Syria Israel of Lebenese ground threatens from; Israel should attack the Hisbollah, Syria and the Irans as the head aggressors in Lebanon ". In the result its a Near East" "new should emerge with mental split, weak countries with puppet governments while Israel would be the undisputed hegemonic power of the region. Head of state present Israel Ehud Olmert received at the latest since 2003 weather to these strategists.
"The Americans and Israelis not more long wanted to wait until its allies in the Lebanon would have the plan of the disarmament and annihilation of the Lebenese resistance realized. The Lebenese resistance would be embodied of the Hisbollah-movement, said, that had played already a decisive role in the release of south Lebanon of the israeli garrison in the year 2000," Huri and supplemented: "Israel the total infrastructure in the Lebanon destroys in order to have a pressure means against the Libanesen in the hand. You yourself should force Hisbollah in view of the danger of an annihilation of the total people to the acceptance of the israeli conditions."
Meanwhile is speculated, would have arranged Washington and Jerusalem the israeli attacks in the Lebanon previously. "no, no! Because will impute, that there are an active military collaboration or voting between the USA and Israel. Yet this does not exist. The USA cited the diplomatic efforts and called repeatedly to the restraint, infuriated itself" bush-speaker Snow. And yet "the impression emerges would have notified itself, as Europe, America and the UN security council and give want Israel the chance to put through its political goals: Lebanon and the total region where there is yet rebellious against its politics to force into the knees", means Huri. Also Steven Cook, Middle East specialist at that Washington Council on Foreign relations emphasized, "it is sun clear, that the US-politics on that aims, the Israelis the opportunity to give, against the Hisbollah to advance". Robin Wright of the washington Post leads back that" crisis present" even to one" plot international regional to implement around the resolution 1559"; a quiet silent agreement between Israel, USA and countries of the EU.
Washington vassal in the Lebanon failed moreover other important point in one: To all misfortune, military secret service had cancelled Lebanon in June the year network of the israeli foreign country secret service Mossad, that had committed numerous car bombs attacks with Hightech – of israeli airplanes per laser ignited bombs - against Palestinian and Hisbollah-official in the past years, finally the end of May in the south Lebenese Sidon when they hunted a boss of the Palestinian jihad into the air. The terror groups were recruited of the present Mossad boss Meir Dagan höchstpersönlich and made themselves the espionage, the terror and murder indebted. Lebanon premier sinuses Us was striven yet hours before the attack of the Israelis to bring raise charge raise at the UN security council against Israel because of these Mossad-volumes. US-ambassador Jeffrey Feltman and "western" diplomats of tried vigorously and with political compulsion to divert it therefrom because the evidence created by the Libanesen could refer obviously on that, that the Mossad could have murdered also Hariri.
Why does Israel lead this war with barbarous method and means that become totgeschwiegen?
Bush practices itself in disguising rhetoric: "the world must finally the basic problem solve, and that is the Hisbollah." That of the Iran financed and of Syria supported group, it believes, would be a terror organization and would have to be treated as such. Hisbollah there, Hisbollah here. The fast mobilization of the israeli troops and the expansion of the operations are unambiguous records that Israel had already before the kidnappings of its soldiers an extensive plan in the drawer, how those countries of the region the israeli dictation can be forced, that do not appear flexibly. The taking of hostages of the soldiers was simply only a pretext in order to transfer it into the deed. Israel proves scouted has with its purposeful bombings presently, like detailed its foreign country secret service including collaborators the gebeutelten Lebanons before; the Israelis possess exact goal data of each restaurant, each soaps factory, each school. They are solve in the situation to destroy all, what they do also, and its promise on, the Lebanons "50 years back bombs".
Not only that: Lebanon Präsident Émile Lahoud a "repulsive injury of international denounced already shortly after start of the battles to the right" through the israeli aggressor on, and the "democratic international" implored around aid to because israeli military in the south of the Lebanon "Phosphorbrandbomben between the persons fired". It asked are the UN to hold off" Israel therefrom, to use destruktive weapons, that incompatible with the human rights and the charter of the United Nations"; under that also internationally geächtete "imploding bombs" how AFP reported, that take in air and bring buildings to the collapse. What drives a country to a so inhuman warfare: Israel is a country that leads back weltanschauung and foundation idea to a "race". To the purpose, already the gene test was tried in the year 2000, "selected around the "identity" of that to prove God". Only under this view angle, the brutal murder distillery against the Lebenese population, Palestinian, Arabian, person of second class is so to speak, to understand.
Soon also the Hariri-investigations in air will break up. The Lebenese Druse Walid Dschumblat, "father" of the cedar revolution, said these days: "Israel Hariri murders for the second time ". Whether a Lebanon flat made will contribute to be sure to Israel of improved security, may be disputed confident.

Maureen Dowd: 'Air-guitar diplomacy' of Condoleezza Rice

RAW STORY
Published: Saturday July 22, 2006

In her latest column, New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd blasts the "air-guitar diplomacy" practiced by Bush's Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in regards to the conflict in Lebanon, RAW STORY has found.

"The more W. and his tough, by-any-means-necessary superbabe have tried to tame the Middle East, the more inflamed the Middle East has become," writes Dowd.

"Now the secretary of state is leaving, reluctantly and belatedly, to do some shuttle diplomacy that entails little diplomacy and no shuttling," Dowd continues. "It's more like air-guitar diplomacy."

Maybe she should be a journalist, sounds like she has talent, don't you think?....

Given the current climate, I can understand GEF's discouragement about the Plame case.

I miss the really juicy leak stories from Jason that made this case seem to be an airtight slamdunk that would incriminate many besides Libby. And I miss the trash talking Blog posts from Fitz, that seemed to hint at something more to come.

My Significant Other is not a Fitz Fan, thinking him a tool of the administration. I said that if the November elections came and went without any more indictments I would have to agree that something is amiss somewhere.

I understand that law is tricky, and more may come out when Libby goes to trial, but for now, it looks like I may be regretting having made that statement.

I'm not giving up the faith. In this time of extreme threats to constitutionally guaranteed liberties, and constituionally established balance of power, it helps to have some hope that somewhere, somehow, the Big Oz will be exposed. But my optimism is more of an emotional choice now, than an intellecually validated option.

(Sorry, but sometimes I need to vent.)

Good Morning Justice Bloggers,

Hope the weather is fair in your corner of the world1

SPB, Can you tell me where to find the quotes Lying Luskin made to the press in the 90's for a previous client?
I recall you posted them a while back, but I cannot find them in the hordes of comments!
Thanks and you'll never be on my "bad boy" list!
You are the best...next to GEF, of course-but then he IS takin' me to Bimini ;-)

PS-GEF, XXOO-you picked the perfect place, as always. I wanna swim with the dolphins ;-)
