You did good. Now I have emailed my Senator to vote against Bolton's position. He's a wacko and a loose cannon.
Connie is now showing that she isn't qualified for the job. Look for more countries to split with the US over this Israel invasion.
As for Iraq well it's over the plan didn't work and now Iraq is worse off then when Saddam was in charge. We've spend close to a trillion dollars and formed a fake government and lost thousands of our young men/women only to see it was a waste of time. Invading and taking control of a country while ordering them to form a democracy like the US wont work in the Middle East. We should have first asked the people of Iraq what they wanted and not told them what they were going to do. Now we see the results of a President that is clue less the the culture and well of the Middle East countries. Look for Saudi Arabia to turn on us next. Bush has shown he knows how to lose friends fast.

E don't be sad and the other countries know this is Bush's policy and not the way of most Americans. I often blog on overseas news papers even Al Jezera and I've gotten some supportive comments. Our country has grown to rich and layed back. Most American disagree but until something effects them personally they just go about their business.
People overseas know us better then we know ourselves. With everything bad happening look to the positive things. The news papers are starting to tell the truth. Those that thought Bush was truthfull now know he's a liar. And the November election has the GOP on the run. E when Bush came to the NAACP you know things are real bad. Sit back and think for a minute Bush had to ask African Amerians for their vote, while most Americans knew he let the Katrina victims beg for help as he sit and watched them on TV for 5 days. E things will get better but until then look for some postive to get throught the day. Friendship day is coming soon I'm getting my cards ready now. E smile.

Elees--Never give up hope. Keep looking around you. No matter what our government does, the people still count. The people in U.S. still lead in donations for humanitarian aid. Even if FEMA was a disaster in New Orleans, the International Red Cross is not and many, many other humanitarian organizations are not a mess.

Being generous as an individual, collectively, throughout the U.S. sends a message that we the people, care about others in the world.

A long time ago, following World War II, the Soviet Union was a mess because of the Nazi invasion. There was a rich lady from the U.S. who donated a shipment of clothing and shoes to the Russian kids. One of those kids who received a pair of shoes remembered that the rest of her life. Even when the Cold War started soon after that and the Soviet Union tried to convince all of its people that the U.S. was bad, that lady remembered the shoes she got when she was a child. She always remembered the generosity of the American lady, and she never believed what that Soviet government was trying to tell her about Americans.

Even though this blog has post after post of corrupt people, in business and in the government, the American people are not all corrupt. We do care about our brothers and sisters, no matter which country they live in, and we do care when innocent people are hurt in other places.

That message needs to be sent, every day. The American people do care.

Anon @ 5:09. You are right. What can WE do for our country? We certainly can't expect PJF to solve all the problems himself for us. He probably came up with too much evidence against the corrupt government and they would not sit idly by and get indicted. I'm sure PJF with his integrity did not allow them to bribe him with money so they may have made a threat? That would explain why he is quiet these days.

From the other post:

On the Outside Looking In--OK, it is the no new indictments that the SO worries about, not the timing of the elections in relation to the Libby trial. Thanks for the clarification. In that case, just tell the SO to be patient. Sometimes, it seems like it takes forever for something to happen. There is a trial that I have waited to happen for a really long time. I know this dude is guilty because I helped the cops gather the evidence, and the dude even confessed! But, I still have to be patient, and I know eventually, that bad guy will be wearing an orange jumpsuit one of these days. And, yes, just because it does not look like something is happening out in the public, does not mean nothing is going on behind closed doors.

Thanks Jackie.

The link above is to a firedoglake blogpost by Christy, shortly after Luskin announced he had received a letter from the SP informing that Rove would not be charged. Christy has a level-headed take on where the case may be going. For those who are becoming discouraged or who think that Rove and the rest will walk away clean from their mess, go back, take some time and read Christy's post, also read through the comments. We are grinding through a slow horror here that has tentacled itself into many parts of our government. PJF and his team are prying at one of those tentacles while trying to stay clear of the rest of them, as well as the poison oozing out. Very hard job, especially the closer they get and I'm sure they have to watch every step they take from now to the trial. They have my support and my thanks for their efforts.
What can we do? We can support candidates for public office who want to restore dignity, justice and sanity to our govenment, we can keep ourselves informed, we can let our public servants know what we want them to do, and let them know when they are making poor decisions. We can talk to our neighbors. We can be kind to each other and walk more softly upon our wounded planet. Not easy to do in the face of so much suffering, so much corruption, so much meanness, but it will all add up in the end, if we don't give up.

but don't give up...I believe there are others who are working on the cause in their own way...

and we all must speak out against this corrupt WH and the criminal policies of this administration...

we all must not give up...and each one of us makes a difference when reach out to others...
when we write or email our Congressmen/women...
work for good politicians...
reach out to other countries through humanitarian causes...
work on preventing voter fraud...
every effort counts...

there is just so much all of us have to do individually...I understand the feelings of disappointment and the feelings of being overwhelmed...
but you have to shake it off and keep fighting...

God bless PJF and team, all of the justice bloggers here...keep fighting for justice, for our freedoms, and for what is right...

there will be brighter days ahead...and in the meantime we have a nice place here to vent when things feel heavy...a place to educate others...and a place where people sincerely care about others...

Anonymous, 6:19 p.m., here is a quote from the Firedoglake page that everyone needs to remember:

"You do not charge someone with a criminal indictment merely because they are scum. You have to have the evidence to back up any charges — not just that may indicate that something may have happened, but you must have evidence that criminal conduct occurred and that you can prove it. You charge the evidence you have, you try the case you can make, and you don’t go down a road that will ultimately be a waste of the public’s money and time once you have ascertained that the case is simply not there. It doesn’t mean that you don’t think the SOB that you can’t charge isn’t a weasel or guilty as hell, it just means that you can’t prove it."

Good morning/afternoon/evening folks!

Well, I see the topic of discussion is the negativeness of the news and chaos overseas with Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, and other countries.. Many Americans believe that we are unwelcomed in international countries. I have many friends from other countries who do tell me that the international citizens are actually don't like the Gerbil Administration but like the Americans. Many of them found the Americans are victims. Elees, you have to keep in mind that the international citizens know what is happen in our country. They see that our country is divided and see the propaganda from the Administration. So, try to look at what people are doing to make a difference in this country in a positive sense.. I am sure that the Founding Fathers had more at risk when they signed the Declaration of Independence for all of us to have the freedoms that we have today...

As far as the Gerbil, you have to look out side of the box. the Gerbil has done wrong to this country in every which way. But, all the pain that he caused in this country will come bakc to him in full circle.. So, cave into the a depression of what is happening. It takes a few people that will step up to the place that will hold their officals accountable. This has always been the people's country not the Gerbil country.. But, it is a mindset for people to understand that we have the power to vote and put the officials into office and we have the power to give those officials who don't perform the pink slip!

Geez Biloxi, has there ever been a time when the Watergate was *not* filled with hookers? That place needs more than an exorcism, it needs a fleet of C-130 cargo planes filled of various medicines for VD.

And yes, people in other countries know more about us than we do about them. Just watch Jay Leno when he goes 'Jaywalking.' Sometimes, he does that with people from Canada, and they know more about us than the Americans he stops on the street. What an embarassment.

The same is true of other countries. Even the international versions of "Time," "Newsweek," and CNN are all better than the U.S. versions. Our MSM sucks so much because there is too much emphasis on Hollywood. By the time they are done talking about that junk, there is no time for any real news. Because of that, too many journalists can get lazy and just sit there while the WH feeds them. Too many Americans then do not know the difference.

That's true, Night Owl! But, the Americans are not getting fully educated to other international countries from the U.S. media. Some of the media are in the backpocket of the Gerbil! And yes, it is embarrassment not to know other countries. That is why people have to separate themselves from the mass and become educated about the international countries from the internet and the other alternative news! It is sad that a majority of people rather be entertained than educated! it is the few people that think outside of the box and understand what the Gerbil is doing to this country and are doing something about it!

I don't believe Bush has gotten off the sauce, if truth be told. I know more than a few boozers who, like George, periodically show up with odd wounds on their faces they got from falling over or running into walls. The injuries that appear on George's mien from time to time can perhaps be explained away - maybe Dick Cheney is stalking the halls with a shotgun loaded with rock salt and blasting anyone, even the boss, who gets in his way - but if "George still drinks" were up on the big board at the MGM Grand sports book, I'd take the bet no matter what the oddsmakers had to say.

Having a drunk for a president is manageable. Having a stone bozo for a president, on the other hand, is a calamity of global proportions.

I also noticed that Israel soldiers were caught on Lebanon land yet Israel says they were attacked by Lebanon. We know that it is legal now to invade any country for any reason thanks to George W. This Mr. Bush, as you observed if aware, got a good deal of “Christian” vote by his claiming to be a Christian, and over the issues of the likes of stem cells. It is wrong to use stem cells from embryos. They don’t match the genetics of the recipient, and it is wrong to create embryos for anything other than the creation of a human being. And the Christian groups that he parlayed this to, do know this, but they don’t know that this was but a tool.

Your Scientists who are Godly are practicing now the use of the own body’s stem cells that do match, and are for the purpose of healing. It is these natural cells you possess that allow you constant healing from injuries. And it is fine to extract them and build new tissues to assist healing, replace amputated limbs and the like. That is the Godly use of stem cells. But these ones manipulated in the churches have been told by dark pastors, either by intent, or lack of knowledge, that Mr. Bush is a representative of God on Earth. Some are now starting to see.

Civil Rights Hiring Shifted in Bush Era

Washington -- The Bush administration is quietly remaking the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, filling the permanent ranks with lawyers who have strong conservative credentials but little experience in civil rights, according to job application materials obtained by the Globe.
The documents show that only 42 percent of the lawyers hired since 2003, after the administration changed the rules to give political appointees more influence in the hiring process, have civil rights experience. In the two years before the change, 77 percent of those who were hired had civil rights backgrounds.

But in the fall of 2002, then-attorney general John Ashcroft changed the procedures. The Civil Rights Division disbanded the hiring committees made up of veteran career lawyers.

Many Israeli soldiers describe Hezbollah as a tough enemy. One soldier noted that the Hezbollah fighters have had several years to retrench and reorganize and have used the time well. The Bush administration has used its time well too, eh. Outing arms proliferation intelligence officers, transferring our country's resources into the hands of corporations, auctioning off our assets to other nations, beefing up its ability to spy on its citizens, making enemies of its former allies. I'm sure I have left some things out. Anyone, feel free to add to the list. Oh, and the deal Putin ends up making with Norway, will euros be the currency used? What would that do to US currency? Maybe Bush and his henchmen want to get all they can for themselves, and hightail it off the planet to Mars to start over. Makes about as much sense as anything else. ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!

RFK Jr. Blows the Whistle on Diebold
By John Ireland, In These Times
Posted on July 21, 2006, Printed on July 23, 2006

Click Story

quote:
On July 13, the Pensacola, Fla.-based law firm of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. filed a "qui tam" lawsuit in U.S. District Court, alleging that Diebold and other electronic voting machine (EVM) companies fraudulently represented to state election boards and the federal government that their products were "unhackable."

Kennedy claims to have witnesses "centrally located, deep within the corporations," who will confirm that company officials withheld their knowledge of problems with accuracy, reliability and security of EVMs in order to procure government contracts. Since going into service, many of these machines have been linked to allegations of election fraud.

If no one joins, the firm is free to, as Papantonio puts it, "stand in the shoes of the Attorney General and fight on behalf of the taxpayers and the nation."

The depraved international cabal that has a stranglehold on American political and financial power constitutes a new type of totalitarianism, pillaging the world through barbaric annihilation and creating a World Police State.

American and world citizens have not fully awakened to the monstrous, diabolical nature of this totalitarian regime; they assume it must have some modicum of concern for its people, its nation, and human decency. Wrong! Unless we arouse ourselves from this deadly self-imposed stupor of ignorance, these homicidal maniacs will destroy us and the world.

That's exactly why people are
villifying them as evildoers.
Because to US they seem
to have no conscience.

I realise that I cannot lump them

Regarding the article on RFK Jr. Well, what is interesting and angers me is that illegal voting was all about government contacts and money.

"HAVA appropriated $3 billion to replace voting equipment and make other improvements in election administration."

"Diebold, Election Systems & Software and Sequoia Systems secured the lion's share of nearly half that sum in contracts to purchase EVMs."

And Blackwell happens to be shareholder for the Diebold company. He was making profits from his share while not allocating the money to fix the voting machine. Now, that we know why the 2000 elections were repeated again in 2004, I am glad that RFK Jr, is stepping up to the plate. As mentioned, it takes one person to step up to the plate and say enough is enough!

"The contents of the suit could be under judicial seal for at least 60 days while the U.S. Department of Justice considers whether or not to join the suit. If U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales decides not to join the suit, Levin Papantonio may approach individual state attorneys general. If no one joins, the firm is free to, as Papantonio puts it, "stand in the shoes of the Attorney General and fight on behalf of the taxpayers and the nation."
"The single greatest threat to our democracy is the insecurity of our voting system," warns Kennedy. "Whoever controls the voting machines can control who wins the votes."

I am glad that they depending on Gonzo. they have a backup plan. As mentioned, Gonzo has a lot on his plate and his boss is putting the squeeze on him! And Kennedy is right on about the control of voting machines. But, this quote does parallel to the Novmember election. It is up to the American people to step up to the plate and take back their country and vote for the appropriate officials that
woll work for the people and not have a personal and hidden agenda.

But there's an issue here Biloxi. The DOJ has put this in "review" for two whole months. That means that after September there will be no time to correct the mistakes before November. Not to mention the time it will take to litigate this...

So neoCONs will control the November vote!

The right thing to do imho is take issue up immediately. PRIORITY!

ie: two months is too late!

6:47 PM
Blogger SP Biloxi said...

"The right thing to do imho is take issue up immediately. PRIORITY!'

Yes, I agree with you!

We can go round and round on this issue. Yes, this issue needs to be look at pronto. But, let's be honest here. The illegal voting is all around special favors and money! Since we cannot put a plug in the milk machine asap, again, it is up to the people to bond together and get out and vote... It is too bad that a lot of states are not adopted whatthe state of Califronia is doing in voting. When you vote electronically, it does a double check of your votes. you can vote exactly on the screen and on paper. The paper of votes is matched with the electronic votes. This new system was planned after 2004 election because of what happen in Ohio and Florida. California were taken precautions. I just rap that the other states would have their citozens more invloved and be concern to get get out in vote. We don't want history to repeat itself!

Yes but there's another issue to contend with...

HOW TO OVERCOME THE FLIP ?

Even if we "get out the vote", no matter how many people show up in the poles that is no guarantee that those who "count" the votes in the final tally don't once again do the:

"FAMOUS E-NUMBER FLIP!"

For example
A 54% "Other" to 52% "neoCON" would be flipped to read:

54% "neoCON" and 52% "other" giving the win to the neoCON.

This is a serious issue that we in the know call the FLIP!

Yes, that is true of what you are saying about the flip! We can't sit on this blog and try to figure out what the NeoCons will do and what the NeoCons do. But, I, for one, won't cave in the attitude of: "well, I guess the NeoCons will win another round in the November electrons. I guess there is nothing that we can do."

Last year, I was sent an email about an act which H. Clinton urged congress to pass called the Every Vote Count Act where to protect the constititional rights of the Americans in voting. Now, i have signed my name a year ago and used Congress to seriously protect the voter's rights and encourged other folks to do the same... And i still followup with my officals in my area. IMHO, the NeoCons will win if people have the attitude of the cave in attiude. there has been too much talks ot the GOP will gain the control back. Again, it is a mind set... Yes, this is a serious flip!

Since we are on this topic, WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT WE ARE AMERICANS CAN DO SO THAT THE NEOCONS DON'T WIN?

SOLUTIONS
==================================

I propose a two prong solution to
the e-(evil) voting machine

1. Each machine must have a printer to printout a tally.(Network printer)

The machine source code should be inspected by all sides
of the voting isles and Independents
as well.

2. A team of high level information technology specialists who have different party affiliations to represent them and work for the Judiciary of each state.

These folks should have the clearance to review the source code before and after the vote to test for anomalies and cheating.

This will satisfy most voters and gain confidence to the voting process..

On solution 2...

Random Cities would be inspected based on size of voter turnout and security concerns of the area...

For example. City A Distric B may have little to no security during the election cycle so City A Distric Bs Source code must be inspected for anomalies..

I have a 3rd prong solution as well which would include leaving the polls open until everyone has voted but this may not be feasable for some districts..

I agree that there should be different party affliations that are bias. There has been too much talk about Democrats and GOP!

All states that have e-voting can adopt this...

If they try a flip on the computer system we'll catch them on the printout tally...

If they try to tweak the software, we'll catch them on the code check...

But that would mean the Judiciary will have access to proprietary VOTE code from the corporation and they will not give it up so easily...

However a nice fat class action lawsuit would pry it from their clammy hands! :)

Well, the real question is how many of the states have adopted a similar solution like you stated? I agree that you can just rely on the e-voting. there had to be paper trail along with the e-voting. There only two months legt and the states better get on the ball!

Hmmm..

I did read about the Gerbil wanting to beef up the WH office counsel... the Gerbil is scared to death that Demos will control in Novmember election. this doesn't sound like a confident Gerbil.

this was interesting from the article:

"In a column for FindLaw, John Dean asked an experienced former federal prosecutor what advice a non-goverment lawyer might give President Bush.
"The lawyer I consulted opined that, 'If he does have knowledge about the leak and does not plan to disclose it, the only good legal advice would be to take the Fifth, rather than lie,'" wrote Dean.

And the Gerbil certainly didn't take the 5th when he spoke with Fitz in that 70 minute interview!

hmmm...

quote from article:
"As for Bush himself, he is curtailing his traditional August working vacation at the ranch so that he can barnstorm before the midterm elections," writes Allen for Time.

That's another vacation he's given up...

Gerbil's got real troubles huh ?

Can't cheat the next election, can't go on vacation, is neck deep in pending litigation, and created a quagmire in Iraq...

That's not the signs of a person who's done nothing wrong...

Why should he worry about Counsel if indeed he's done nothing wrong...

He should also get counsel for his poppa too. The Law is watching him and his german/foreign federal bank buddies...

Yup, right in the butt cheeks of the Gerbil! Ha Ha! I just wanted to be the roach on the wall when Fitzgerald interviewed the Gerbil in that 70 minute interview not under oath! The Gerbil's lawyer should be fired. If I was the Gerbil (which I am not), I would had knocked on John Dean's door for advice since the Gerbil and company followed the Nixon playbook! That is what we are dealing with: A Gerbil Administration whose mindset is like a commode!

The federal government is moving to eliminate the jobs of nearly half of the lawyers at the Internal Revenue Service who audit tax returns of some of the wealthiest Americans, specifically those who are subject to gift and estate taxes when they transfer parts of their fortunes to their children and others.

The administration plans to cut the jobs of 157 of the agency’s 345 estate tax lawyers, plus 17 support personnel, in less than 70 days. Kevin Brown, an I.R.S. deputy commissioner, confirmed the cuts after The New York Times was given internal documents by people inside the I.R.S. who oppose them.

The Bush administration has passed measures that reduce the number of Americans who are subject to the estate tax — which opponents refer to as the “death tax” — but has failed in its efforts to eliminate the tax entirely. Mr. Brown said in a telephone interview Friday that he had ordered the staff cuts because far fewer people were obliged to pay estate taxes under President Bush’s legislation.

Surprise, Evil-doers. Geez, I wonder why.

LEMME SHOW YOU THE FUTURE!

Well I guess we'll have to wait till 2008 until we can hope for a flush!
That's gonna be an awfully stinky toilet. By 2008 we're gonna have to use a plumbers helper for sure!

Then we'll have to contend with a Gerbil in charge of the North American Union in 2008.

Our new 2009 president won't have much power...Just a letter carrier perhaps..

We'll have to follow North American Union Law..

ie: The Gerbil again! ;)

Britain's dirty secret

David Leigh and John Hooper
Thursday March 6, 2003
The Guardian

A chemical plant which the US says is a key component in Iraq's chemical warfare arsenal was secretly built by Britain in 1985 behind the backs of the Americans, the Guardian can disclose.

Documents show British ministers knew at the time that the £14m plant, called Falluja 2, was likely to be used for mustard and nerve gas production.

Senior officials recorded in writing that Saddam Hussein was actively gassing his opponents and that there was a "strong possibility" that the chlorine plant was intended by the Iraqis to make mustard gas. At the time, Saddam was known to be gassing Iranian troops in their thousands in the Iran-Iraq war.

But ministers in the then Thatcher government none the less secretly gave financial backing to the British company involved, Uhde Ltd, through insurance guarantees.

Paul Channon, then trade minister, concealed the existence of the chlorine plant contract from the US administration, which was pressing for controls on such exports.

He also instructed the export credit guarantee department (ECGD) to keep details of the deal secret from the public.

The Crown has a lot of dirty, little secrets.

The Tin Man is certainly not on Ambien. The folks at Wayne Madsen need a cargo ship full of foil for all the horse hockey they make up.

It looks like a couple of bloggers need to get a room. Wow, I thought I got lost and I was on MySpace.com for a while . . .

Geez, I got distracted and forgot to post what I meant to post:

Party animal Kim Jong Il marries and maybe that will calm him down. Ha! Now there is wishful thinking on my part. . .

Another nut case in Indiana shoots people. It is one of the best-kept secrets--Indiana is loaded with nut cases. Jim Jones got his start in Indiana and lots of others do, too, and then move to Kansas. Benjamin Smith moved there and got worse.

Indiana is loaded with neo-Nazis, KKK, and mafia go there to really hide out. Forget New Jersey, it is easier to buy a house in Indiana and completely hide the place in the hills and trees.

Illinois elects its criminals. They are easier to spot. ;-) I will not move back to Indiana.

Well now, Cheney is trying to tell us we need to vote Republican because of what is happening in the ME. He says we have to stay the course. I'd surely like to read comments about that from the justice bloggers here.

Well, the phone call my friends never wanted to hear happened. A bomb in Iraq took their loved one from this Earth a few days ago.

I send thanks to the Patriot Guard Riders who traveled and gave their time to make sure the family was protected at the funeral from 'religious' nut cases, who thankfully did not show up yesterday.

That 'religious' group is so vile and filled with hate, the name of it and its leader are just unspeakable.

Thank God for the Patriot Guard Riders.
