Night Owl,

Dick Kay did have a lot of patience with Judy Barr Topinka on the debate, evey question he asked, what are you going to do about the budget? she said well the voters should be more concerned about official A. When asked what she would do about the schools? Judy replied I am not Official A. When asked about health care? I was not questioned by the FBI and named Official A. And Rod blew her away at this debate because he gave intelligent answers that related to each question. And he was holding back laughing at her with each and every answer she gave. And now that her Official A, has been identified as Bill Cellini, a Republican close to her......she has no message anymore, What was she thinking?

We can only hope that there is staff assigned right now in the Northern District Of Illinois to watch this race, and very closely.....this is by far is the one getting everyone fluffed up. This by far has had the most underhanded questionable activity surrounding it.

Did Peraica stop at Superdawg while on Milwaukee Ave?

So Todd Stroger hit the churches 7 of them (on the South Side), Tony was busy on the North Side.

This should be one of the first things the US Attorney's office look at a lot more closely if Todd Stroger gets elected, or even if he is not elected, we need this cleaned up.

Stroger ducks questions on campaign loan
By DAMIAN JOSEPH
Medill News Service
Ald. Todd Stroger (8th) remained quiet Wednesday about the $500,000 loan he recently secured from Amalgamated Bank to help fund the final week of his election campaign for the Cook County Board presidency.

if you think the South Siders are upset with Todd, just go up to the North Side and mention his name.....if you dare

The Democratic candidate appeared at the Martin Luther King Center, 4314 S. Cottage Grove Ave., Wednesday to promote early voting, but a discussion with reporters quickly turned toward his campaign's financing.

He insisted that the loan was obtained legally, but refused to divulge what he used as collateral for such a large loan.

"We filed the paperwork with the State Board of Elections," Stroger said. He added only that "We have the funds [to secure the loan]" before a campaign aide abruptly cancelled the news conference.

The controversy surrounding the loan stems from campaign finance law. Any services, gifts or goods given to a candidate -- other than cash -- must be reported as an "in-kind contribution." But Stroger's camp insists that he signed the loan himself and that there were no co-signers.

Stroger's Republican opponent, Cook County Board Commissioner Tony Peraica, continued hammering at Stroger about the loan. "Cook County voters deserve transparency from their elected officials," Peraica said in a Wednesday statement. "What we don't know and what the Stroger campaign refuses to disclose is how Todd Stroger got that money. We deserve to know."

"If there was no co-signer, Cook County voters deserve to know just how Todd Stroger collateralized that loan or, more perhaps to the point, just what has [he] promised in exchange for that $500,000 loan," Peraica said.

Stroger said that the loan was "none of his business."
If Stroger gets elected the first thing the Northern District of Illinois needs to investigate:

He added that it was "not unusual" for political candidates to obtain bank loans for campaign purposes, but stopped short of giving any details about his own transaction.

A spokesman for Amalgamated Bank of Chicago said he could not discuss the loan. "Due to privacy laws, we can't discuss any details," he said.

Poverty in Israel and poverty in America are both reaching dangerous proportions and the two Liebermans will soon face the wrath and leaderless rage of the miss-lead, here-to-for powerless people. The above mentioned poll shows a beginning of a new awareness in the US.

whatreallyhappened.com

One congressional staff person was quoted as saying, "We can count on well over half the house, 250, to 300 members, to do reflexively what ever AIPAC wants."

"A new poll commissioned by the Council for the National Interest Foundation shows that a significant number of Americans are wary of the power of the Israel lobby, and believe it is behind the invasion of Iraq and the current belligerent tone of the White House and Congress toward Iran.

More Americans each day are very wary of AIPAC and Israel. Many questions remained buried or covered-up that Americans and Arabs deserve answered.

Well, art imitates life. And poltical satire on T.V. like the Simpsons and in cartoons are now on the horizon. I remember reading English literature in college with poltical satire stories of King George III. Plus, my favorite poltical satires (along later made into a cartoon) are Jonathan Swift's novel, Gullivers Travel and George Orwell's book (also made in a cartoon): Animal Farm. Since the show like the Simpsons is such a worldwide icon show, why not add the poltical satire and humor to get your point across to the audience?

Hey Good Morning Everyone:

With only a six seats needed to retake the Senate, the final polls are showing Democrats in serious contention for an astounding eight seats.

And, the Dems need to take only 15 seats in the House.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the Dems will take 22 seats in the House and 6 in the Senate! :)

LET'S ROCK THE VOTE!! :D

What is Gonzalez hiding ?

The Justice department is Alberto Gonzalez, so if FBI cases are being refused by the Justice department, and the justice department is Alberto Gonzalez, then you have to ask yourself why ? What is it that Gonzalez doesn't the American people to see ? What is he covering up ? What will these investigation and cases reveal about George Bushs spying on the American people, and collusion with potential enemies of our country.

Pardon my cynicism, but I don't trust anything that the Bush administration does.

Morning all sorry I'm late busy morning.
I saw the Simpsons and yes every cartoon show it making it's point even American Dad the Republican allowed gays in the GOP for votes.
I saw 60 mins interesting comments from Jeff Flake didn't know about him. I guess it's nice to see honest Republicans for a change all we get on the news is the crooks and liars. Well I'd like to sleep until Nov. 8th as all the polls are going crazy.
Saddam's verdict didn't work but Karl tried. I just hope Americans can get through these days two days without doing something crazy. Cheney is going hunting with his daughter so people remember to duck if your in the area. Bush really looks like this election has taken a toll on him he really looks bad not only the bad when he's drinking or taking drugs but bad. Now the Church as to deal with reality of a fallen man of GOD who not only lied but took church money for sex/drugs. I really don't think the media understands how real Christians are dealing with trusting for so long a Man of GOD only to find out they were following a Man of Satan. Who can you trust anymore?

In fact, Michael Moore said:

1. Go through your address book on your cell phone and computer and call/e-mail everyone you know. Tell them how much it would mean to you if they vote on Tuesday. If they don't know where to vote, help them find their polling place.

2. Contact MoveOn.org ASAP. They will connect you to the folks who need you to make calls.

3. Contact your local Democratic Party headquarters. There are close races in nearly every state. They'll put you to work -- on the ground or on the phones. Or go to the local HQ for the Dem candidate running for the House of Representatives or the U.S. Senate and say, "Put me to work!"
