Oh Fitz I saw a little of Boston Legal last night yes I fell asleep but check this out. A dude wanted to be a juror so he lied on his application and said he didn't believe in the death penalty so he was charged with lying. No case was given just the charge of lying and yes he was found guilty. So for all those who think Libby can't be found guilty for lying without there being a case it cleared that one up.

The request is expected to draw criticism on Capitol Hill, where lawmakers are increasingly worried about the huge sums being sought "off budget" to fund wars, escaping the more rigorous congressional oversight of regular budgets.
Another source familiar with the Air Force plans said the extra funds would help pay to transport growing numbers of U.S. soldiers being killed and wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Glad Halloween is over. The kiddies took all of the candy. And a grown woman came to my door for trick or treating. She told me that she was dressed up as a CPA. And that is her occupation! LOL! Hey, even grownup got candy last night!

All I can say is that if Fitzgerald has to give a child-parent filing like that to explain to three professional defense attorneys and their nimrod client who happens to be an attorney (little Irve)on what the procedures are in a criminal trial and that the focus is not supposed to be an explanation of why Libby was indicted and why others are not charged, then you know that Team smurf is simply using a stall tactic and running on empty with a crapola defense. To be honest, when I read Fitz's filings, I felt that Fitz was the parent and Team Smurf were the children. This nanny nanny boo boo defense by the smurf team is beyond nauseaing. And the defense's three filings on what the government shouldn't present as evidence in relation to the Plame's employment, the NIE, Miller's imprisonment, and so on is nothing but pure desperation by a defense team that will lose in this upcoming trial.

HIALEAH, Fla. - A state lawmaker under fire for leaving a message filled with obscenities and a racial slur on a colleague's voice mail resigned Wednesday from the Florida Legislature.
State Rep. Ralph Arza had been urged to resign by fellow House Republicans and by Gov. Jeb Bush.
In a news conference Wednesday, Arza apologized for his actions and said he didn't want to distract from the work of the Republican-led Legislature.
"I do not want to be the story," he said.
Arza had acknowledged leaving the messages on fellow Republican Rep. Gus Barreiro's voice mail earlier this month but said he was drunk.
He said he had learned that Barreiro had filed a complaint alleging he had earlier used a racial epithet when referring to Miami-Dade County school superintendent Rudy Crew, who is black. He used the same epithet in his phone message to Barreiro, who is Hispanic.

If all of the foreign troops leave Iraq, then the U.S. doesn't have enough U.S. troops alone to fight surgients and the terrorists. We don't have enough man power and certainly the UN backing is over. Forget about invading Iran or even North Korea god forbid. It would be basically over for the Gerbil if all of the foreign troops leave Iraq.
As far as the "bring the troops home" that you hear over and over again, people are voicing that they want to troops home and out of harms way. But, the battle cry should be first: Get rid of the garbage in Congress whom are in the backpocket of the Gerbil, second: bring the troops home and finally: remove the Gerbil!
"bring them home now" will only lead to a blood bath that will make the fall of saigon and vietnam look like a playground by comparison.

The Orange County district attorney's office has charged 11 people with fraudulent voter registration stemming from a Republican registration drive this year that resulted in dozens of Democrats unwittingly being signed up as Republicans.
Those charged had been paid as much as $10 for each voter they registered as part of a Republican Party effort to recruit more voters in central Orange County. The area includes the district represented by Democratic Rep. Loretta Sanchez, a regular target of Republicans, and a competitive state Senate race.
The cases were filed Tuesday, and three defendants were arrested Wednesday and Thursday. They are in custody and are scheduled to be arraigned today and Monday. You sound very pessimistic from your comments, my friend. The Democrats are not the only party that can make a drastic change in the Administration. It includes the people! Sure you can have a second voice to slow down the Gerbil but like I said, it takes a unison to want a change. This is not overnight but it is great start in the right direction. Nothing is perfect and neither are the Democrats. But we do need a change. And we all agree that what we have now is not working! I hope that my comment don't sound harsh.
