You have to be kidding with this ?
Anon looks like that statement is looking like the truth. Notice how many GOP family values/moral elected leaders are doing the opposite. Now I know the GOP wants Americans to forget that fingers Foley was abusing kids for many years while serving in Congress. It's ok if a Republican commits sin/lies/cheats just don't let anyone else do it or their fired. Now that the news is world wide I bet the other countries are laughing at the so called born again christian and his family values/morals GOP. Let's see a President has an affair with a woman he should be impeached. A born again President with family values/morals has his girlfriend live with him, gives her a job as Secretary of State, steals taxpayers money, invades and kills thousands of innocent woman/children, lies and his our troops killed like flies, brings distrust and disrespect to the United States, breaks 721 laws, bring back racism and the list goes on yet nothing is done. Well now we know the values/morals of the new America. Say one thing do the other.
Gomer, I think it is tongue in cheek.
More importantly, do you think my tongue is sexy?
Roll Call Provides 109th Congress Scandal Scorecard

With so many congressional scandals out there, who can keep track? Thanks to the good people at Roll Call newspaper, you can! They've created a handy-dandy chart listing 17 of 18 known federal investigations into members of the 109th Congress. (They forgot Rep. Katherine Harris (R-FL), who's received subpoenas for information. Some of her former staffers have also been interviewed by the FBI.)

She should've scratched him... ;)
Look at the actual question in three parts as I have.
The first two parts are absolutely ridiculous in the context of which they are asked.
The third part I agree, however, all parties have moral issues sometime or other.
It's all about choices in life!
GOP= Gross Old Perverts
DP you're generalising, you cannot do that.
My bad. I take full responsibilty for Jim. You see I transposed "act like a lady in public, but be a whore in bed." :D
I am switching parties. The GOP is too icky and sleazy for me!
Question of the month: Do GOP family values create sexual predators or are sexual predators attracted to GOP family values or is GOP morality talk just too damn cheap?
Occam's Razor...Damn cheap!!!
Couric just interviewed Michael J. Fox and his symptoms were worse today then the commercial because of a bad day. She is still interviewing him or you can watch it on CBS website.
Rush Limpbaugh or however you spell the ass's name should be ashamed of himself. You want to know what a lot of people think about him. We think he is a pedophile that goes out of the country and pays the masters that hold the poor kids for sex. And no one has that much physical pain and I do know that for a fact..to use 1/100 of the prescription meds as that bastard. He made it hard for people that do deal with chronic pain issues and do take their medicine wisely as prescribed or less. He's foul and shrill. He gets a slap on the wrist where anyone else would have been sent away. JMO.
Anytime ole Rush wants to know what real pain feels like, maybe he should ask the people that actually have it. Better yet, he should visit an Iraqi hospital or one of our soldiers wounded in Iraq. He hasn't been to entertain them, has he? Or maybe, he could spend a day with Michael when the cramps start.
Chimpcoulter,
Actually Occam's Razor is more primal..
It's an image thing CC, everyone likes and wants to be seen with a Winner...
However the great majority NOW knows that the GOP don't mean what they say..Just look at what they do that counts..
Now that the GOPs are heavy in scandals and are out of touch Losers with the American people it will mean that alot of superficial folks will be changing parties on the quick in order to be seen with the new Winners...
Teak,
Don't respond to neoconjob Primates...
That's what they want...
Yup, they value a couple of things- $$ and illicit sex-
Too busy pointing the finger at everyone else so they can deflect-think Foley and pervert predator laws!
I read this and had to share.
This is from Dick Cheney who never served in the US military but got 5 deferments.
Vice President Dick Cheney has confirmed that U.S. interrogators subjected captured senior al Qaeda suspects to a controversial interrogation technique called ''water-boarding,'' which creates a sensation of drowning.
Now that's coming from a man who is a coward. I notice all three of the idiots never saw combat but are running this invasion like a video game. Our troops are allowed to lie because these three are cowards and want to play war games. Let's hope the new Administration can dismantle the torture bill before any of our troops get kidnapped and are tortured with the Bush bill.

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. - Los Alamos National Laboratory expects researchers from around the world to use its new facility for high magnetic field science.
After 10 years of work, lab officials announced Tuesday that the world's most powerful pulsed, non-destructive magnet is ready for use at 85 tesla. A tesla, a measuring unit for magnetic fields, takes its name from Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-American whose inventions formed the foundation of our alternating current system.
Researchers can combine very low temperatures with a powerful magnetic field to examine materials at a nanometer scale, a billionth of a meter. Expected applications include studying large organic molecules, such as drugs.
Oh, they haven't been doing this before? Google and youtube have had very interesting videos posted on this topic. People are talking about this. What does it do to the human body and brain? What does it do to the ozone? In the videos, one can see the government official sputter and stutter with double-speak.
The article didn't state when they would start testing, hmmm. Wonder if this is a microwave type weapon? Cover your privates up, guys. The cell phone story made me think of HAARP and now this.

WGN's Skilling ruled a distraction
The Associated Press
Published October 26, 2006, 5:51 AM CDT
It was a week of court appearances for the Skilling brothers.
But while one was being sentenced for his role in the Enron collapse in Texas, another was being excused from jury duty in Chicago.
WGN chief meteorologist Tom Skilling reported for jury duty yesterday at the Cook County Criminal Courthouse.
Defense attorneys eventually excused him, saying he'd be a distraction in the case.
But that wasn't before the judge and attorneys quizzed Skilling about his brother Jeffrey's legal troubles, the impact on the Skilling family and, of course, the weather.
When asked by the judge for a forecast for Friday, Skilling quipped, "We've got a storm coming."
As he left the courtroom, other prospective jurors rallied around him, wishing the best to his family.

t: Remember the story about Falcon Base in Iraq being blown up? Go to HUffpo, on the RFK jr. story and on the 5th page of the comments half way down under the name of Oliva, she has linked to a soldiers tape of the explosion. It's HUGE. Check it out and send to everyone you know. Bush is lying again about this. The source that I found said that over 300 military were killed in that one explosion
The site also listed all their names.

I'm surprised she had the moral clarity to do the interview, she's such a tool.
Oh, I forgot, her ratings are #3. (slap to the forhead) that's why she's doing the interview!
By the way, who's the bimbo in the picture with the plastic talons? I guess I'm out of the GOP loop (thank God)
Thanks bluedog, I'll send that out to my contacts
I saw about half the footage and had to shut it off- I knew there was no way did people not get hurt-the soldiers familiar with it said the same. Bullets just fly in that sort of situation and it was a mortar attack, not just a fire.
Geffy, you're right-if I could pilot a plane, I'd go get them myself;-)
(with plenty of help from military family members)
bluedog, Couric said her father has the disease. I remember Rush was one of first ones that got to speak in her "free speech" segments. Hannity got his time the other night. Barf.
The MSM along with the shrills disgrace our troops and innocent Iraqis by not reporting the truth.
And now this:
WASHINGTON - Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Thursday that anyone demanding deadlines for progress in Iraq should "just back off," because it is too difficult to predict when Iraqis will resume control of their country.
During an often-combative Pentagon news conference, Rumsfeld said that while benchmarks for security, political and economic progress are valuable, "it's difficult. We're looking out into the future. No one can predict the future with absolute certainty."

Fitzgerald's blistering, nearly three-hour, questioning of Loftus caused her to admit that some of her own findings about what juries know about memory were faulty and that some of her own research may have been flawed.

Hey Teak! I'm getting disoriented and flu-like symptoms from watching all the negative campaign ads.

Time to keep the TV off until November 8th.
Well, when a Republican "cowboy" yanks his boots on and yells,
"Cowboy Up!" that should offer a clue to other family members that it's family "value" sharing night and incest is first on the menu. Sick thought, but probably occurs more often than not in those rigid, God-fearing, evildoer tight-knit families.
12 days until we take our country back!! Yeah! That is something to celebrate!! I can't wait to get those rotten GOP scumbags out of office! LOL

Final posting for the evening. A comment that I made on NBC Nightly news about the Gerbil's interview with Maria Bartoromo. Here was my comment word for word:
It makes me feel like an English scholar every time Bush speaks. This tell you how clueless this President is from this latest interview with Maria. I just hope "the internets," "the Korean peninshula," "the Google," "Global Warming is warming the globe," are not in the next version of Websters dictionary. Maybe, the word "Bushisms" will make that cut. It is an absolutely embarrassment to hear that interview from an unpolished President that stresses on the No Child Left Behind. Brian, please do not slip into the Bushspeak foreign language on your show and say "NBC Nightlys News!"

Minnesota truckers have run out of gas
Hausladen said the shortages were brought on by increased demand by farm equipment during the harvest, the ongoing transition to ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel and a changing mix of products coming out of refineries.
"They will eventually get fuel," he said of the tight markets. "Shortages like this do happen with regularity, year by year."

(CBS/AP) A protégé of White House political guru Karl Rove produced the controversial Republican National Committee ad targeting Tennessee Democratic Senate candidate Rep. Harold Ford Jr., that some have called racist, CBS News has learned.
The ad, in which a white woman with blonde hair and bare shoulders looks into the camera and whispers, "Harold, call me," and then winks, was produced by Scott Howell, the former political director for Rove's consulting firm in Texas.

Perhaps the real campaigns should be done against the ad directors such this Powell and Rove. Dig into Rove's life, what goes around comes around. Think KKKarl Rove has skeletons bent over in his closets?
The end to this kind of thing is campaign finance reform (limiting what a candidate can spend) and term limits for congress.
Hell, throw them all out and we'll just phone it all in.
Great idea.

LIMBAUGH'S ASSAULT ON MICHAEL J. FOX…
Mr. Limbaugh not only assaulted Michael J. Fox but also Mohammad Ali and all who suffer from this disease. All who think it's ok I pray you and yours don't ever have to get this or any other disease that destroys your life.
I must admit any comment that comes from a drug addict/child molester isn't worth listen too. But of course Limbough is a Republican and has those Republican family values/morals. I'll stick with the family values/morals that Jesus taught.

you have gut to look at the defense patterns to see that the logic is flawed and they can do no wrong..
if any party is whinning and crying they are...
all the things that are said about the democrats are actully discriptions of the GOP ..this is what mentally ill patterns do they describe themselves in their attack of others..
Top of the morning all
What news and corruption will appear today. The GOP is calling all KKK member to step up and come out of hiding to vote the crooks back in. Mr. Lott must be really busy as he is fighting to get the South racist to raise again. To bad for him he can't bring back the past. All these racist Ads, comments and attacks are backfiring. We have come a long way as a country and we will never go back. We were lied and cheated by the GOP but we now know better and the lies don't work anymore. WE WILL TAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK NOV. 7TH. We will be watching the new elected officials and if they try to turn to corruption we'll bring them down too.
Have a great day I'll be taking a short vacation no not Jamaica like Judge Walton but it's always summer in Southern California so any place is like a vacation. smile
As a child, growing up in a very republican family and community, where everyone had "eveything", my earliest memories are of a disconnect between what they said and what they did.
Although I am not the least bit surprised that the "republican" scandals are finally being "outed", I am horrified that people continue to believe the hypocrisy (even when the facts are in their face) and vote these people into office.
Grand total disgust. Make the GOP scum paupers, all of them!
Good Morning JBs...
Check This Out!!! Unbelievable, unbelievable..I could not write a better script. Two weeks before an election, Bushie signs another Signing Statement to ignore Congress' mandate to require that the FEMA Director have at least five years of disaster response experience.
You are doing a Heckuva a Job Bushie...we need to impeach your incompetent and arrogant @ss now!!! Please bloggers spread the news!
Bob Shieffer's Commentary
Good Morning JB's,
Hi E and anon 9:10- I can very much relate to what you are saying. The burbs are good for teaching a false construct of life.
From today's WaPo
"I'd need to see that again," Loftus said when Fitzgerald cited a line in her book that overstated her research by saying that "most jurors" consider memory to be equivalent to playing a videotape. Her research, however, found that to be true for traumatic events, and even then, only 46 percent of potential jurors thought memory could be similar to a videotape.
There were several moments when Loftus was completely caught off guard by Fitzgerald, creating some very awkward silences in the courtroom.
One of those moments came when Loftus insisted that she had never met Fitzgerald. He then reminded her that he had cross-examined her before, when she was an expert defense witness and he was a prosecutor in the U.S. attorney's office in New York.
Libby's defense team declined to comment.
------------
Of course they did, you scared the bejeezus out of them Fitz, hehe
Good post CC, I'll post it on my blog today:-)
T,
Thanks for the posts on Loftus' cross-examination...I think its hysterical that Fitzie made a bufoon out of her & Libby's defense...and its just begun...
Eleven More Days Twinkle Toes Fitzgerald!
Here's a little ditty:
Hose nose twinkle toes pretty purple panty hose.
Are perverts Republicans or Republicans perverts ? Interesting question. And the answer is..It's a syndrome.
That was the word used by a reporter some years ago when covering a gathering of Muslims in London who were calling for the death of Salman Rushdie (he of the Satanic Verses). One such demonstrator demanding that Rushdie be killed for violating the Koran was followed back to his town of Bradford by the reporter and found there to be making his living in the selling of alcohol and the loaning of money. This apparently against the teachings of the Koran.
This is where the syndrome comes in. Like so many others he sought to hide the beam in his own eye by pointing out the specks in others.
(The latter is of course from Christian text !)
So your Republicans are jst following the old rule that the best form of defence is attack. And they do so out of fear.Fear of themselves.
The GOP RECRUITS perverts because they can be blackmailed and controlled.
If someone truly had conservative convictions, they might try to be consisten with those, and maybe oppose things like say, corporate welfare, or wars that are fought for essentially the same purpose--enriching a very few at the public's expense.
No, they need guys who will say the right thing, and then say something totally different the next day without hesitation. You only get that kind of reliability when you have a gun to someone's back.

Hear, hear.
I firmly believe that "gay recruiting" is carried out by sexual predators. I'm not saying that all gays have been recruited--in fact, I'm saying that it's far more healthy for one to decide for oneself, independently of intimidation or harassment.
So it's highly ironic that the people complaining the loudest are so often the most guilty, the ones with something to hide.
I'm sick and tired of hypocrisy, and I don't believe those who say that it's simply part of human nature. It indicates that something is missing, something that supports the facility of consideration. I suspect that it's rooted in the inappropriate activation of survival instincts. Destructive social behavior at the hands of (and covered up by) people in positions of power is simply the expression of their damaged personalities writ large across our collective history. Whether they're shamed in the process is our responsibility, as is the simple and obvious fact that it exists because we have tolerated it.
After all, we get what we tolerate.
