Is Sex The GOP's Achilles Leg..?

"Like the perv (Jim Gibbons) was like totally all over me. Gag me with a spoon!"

Question of the month: Do GOP family values create sexual predators or are sexual predators attracted to GOP family values or is GOP morality talk just too damn cheap?

Nice nails! Chrissy, why didn't you give him a little CSI Las Vegas cat DNA scratch fever for the cameras and lab? ;)

Anon looks like that statement is looking like the truth. Notice how many GOP family values/moral elected leaders are doing the opposite. Now I know the GOP wants Americans to forget that fingers Foley was abusing kids for many years while serving in Congress. It's ok if a Republican commits sin/lies/cheats just don't let anyone else do it or their fired. Now that the news is world wide I bet the other countries are laughing at the so called born again christian and his family values/morals GOP. Let's see a President has an affair with a woman he should be impeached. A born again President with family values/morals has his girlfriend live with him, gives her a job as Secretary of State, steals taxpayers money, invades and kills thousands of innocent woman/children, lies and his our troops killed like flies, brings distrust and disrespect to the United States, breaks 721 laws, bring back racism and the list goes on yet nothing is done. Well now we know the values/morals of the new America. Say one thing do the other.

With so many congressional scandals out there, who can keep track? Thanks to the good people at Roll Call newspaper, you can! They've created a handy-dandy chart listing 17 of 18 known federal investigations into members of the 109th Congress. (They forgot Rep. Katherine Harris (R-FL), who's received subpoenas for information. Some of her former staffers have also been interviewed by the FBI.)

Couric just interviewed Michael J. Fox and his symptoms were worse today then the commercial because of a bad day. She is still interviewing him or you can watch it on CBS website.

Rush Limpbaugh or however you spell the ass's name should be ashamed of himself. You want to know what a lot of people think about him. We think he is a pedophile that goes out of the country and pays the masters that hold the poor kids for sex. And no one has that much physical pain and I do know that for a fact..to use 1/100 of the prescription meds as that bastard. He made it hard for people that do deal with chronic pain issues and do take their medicine wisely as prescribed or less. He's foul and shrill. He gets a slap on the wrist where anyone else would have been sent away. JMO.

Anytime ole Rush wants to know what real pain feels like, maybe he should ask the people that actually have it. Better yet, he should visit an Iraqi hospital or one of our soldiers wounded in Iraq. He hasn't been to entertain them, has he? Or maybe, he could spend a day with Michael when the cramps start.

Now that the GOPs are heavy in scandals and are out of touch Losers with the American people it will mean that alot of superficial folks will be changing parties on the quick in order to be seen with the new Winners...

This is from Dick Cheney who never served in the US military but got 5 deferments.

Vice President Dick Cheney has confirmed that U.S. interrogators subjected captured senior al Qaeda suspects to a controversial interrogation technique called ''water-boarding,'' which creates a sensation of drowning.

Now that's coming from a man who is a coward. I notice all three of the idiots never saw combat but are running this invasion like a video game. Our troops are allowed to lie because these three are cowards and want to play war games. Let's hope the new Administration can dismantle the torture bill before any of our troops get kidnapped and are tortured with the Bush bill.

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. - Los Alamos National Laboratory expects researchers from around the world to use its new facility for high magnetic field science.

After 10 years of work, lab officials announced Tuesday that the world's most powerful pulsed, non-destructive magnet is ready for use at 85 tesla. A tesla, a measuring unit for magnetic fields, takes its name from Nikola Tesla, a Serbian-American whose inventions formed the foundation of our alternating current system.

Researchers can combine very low temperatures with a powerful magnetic field to examine materials at a nanometer scale, a billionth of a meter. Expected applications include studying large organic molecules, such as drugs.

Oh, they haven't been doing this before? Google and youtube have had very interesting videos posted on this topic. People are talking about this. What does it do to the human body and brain? What does it do to the ozone? In the videos, one can see the government official sputter and stutter with double-speak.

The article didn't state when they would start testing, hmmm. Wonder if this is a microwave type weapon? Cover your privates up, guys. The cell phone story made me think of HAARP and now this.

WGN's Skilling ruled a distraction

The Associated Press
Published October 26, 2006, 5:51 AM CDT

It was a week of court appearances for the Skilling brothers.

But while one was being sentenced for his role in the Enron collapse in Texas, another was being excused from jury duty in Chicago.

WGN chief meteorologist Tom Skilling reported for jury duty yesterday at the Cook County Criminal Courthouse.

Defense attorneys eventually excused him, saying he'd be a distraction in the case.

But that wasn't before the judge and attorneys quizzed Skilling about his brother Jeffrey's legal troubles, the impact on the Skilling family and, of course, the weather.

When asked by the judge for a forecast for Friday, Skilling quipped, "We've got a storm coming."

As he left the courtroom, other prospective jurors rallied around him, wishing the best to his family.

And now this:

WASHINGTON - Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said Thursday that anyone demanding deadlines for progress in Iraq should "just back off," because it is too difficult to predict when Iraqis will resume control of their country.

During an often-combative Pentagon news conference, Rumsfeld said that while benchmarks for security, political and economic progress are valuable, "it's difficult. We're looking out into the future. No one can predict the future with absolute certainty."

Final posting for the evening. A comment that I made on NBC Nightly news about the Gerbil's interview with Maria Bartoromo. Here was my comment word for word:

It makes me feel like an English scholar every time Bush speaks. This tell you how clueless this President is from this latest interview with Maria. I just hope "the internets," "the Korean peninshula," "the Google," "Global Warming is warming the globe," are not in the next version of Websters dictionary. Maybe, the word "Bushisms" will make that cut. It is an absolutely embarrassment to hear that interview from an unpolished President that stresses on the No Child Left Behind. Brian, please do not slip into the Bushspeak foreign language on your show and say "NBC Nightlys News!"

(CBS/AP) A protégé of White House political guru Karl Rove produced the controversial Republican National Committee ad targeting Tennessee Democratic Senate candidate Rep. Harold Ford Jr., that some have called racist, CBS News has learned.

The ad, in which a white woman with blonde hair and bare shoulders looks into the camera and whispers, "Harold, call me," and then winks, was produced by Scott Howell, the former political director for Rove's consulting firm in Texas.

Good Morning JB's,

Hi E and anon 9:10- I can very much relate to what you are saying. The burbs are good for teaching a false construct of life.
From today's WaPo

"I'd need to see that again," Loftus said when Fitzgerald cited a line in her book that overstated her research by saying that "most jurors" consider memory to be equivalent to playing a videotape. Her research, however, found that to be true for traumatic events, and even then, only 46 percent of potential jurors thought memory could be similar to a videotape.

There were several moments when Loftus was completely caught off guard by Fitzgerald, creating some very awkward silences in the courtroom.

One of those moments came when Loftus insisted that she had never met Fitzgerald. He then reminded her that he had cross-examined her before, when she was an expert defense witness and he was a prosecutor in the U.S. attorney's office in New York.

Libby's defense team declined to comment.

Are perverts Republicans or Republicans perverts ? Interesting question. And the answer is..It's a syndrome.
That was the word used by a reporter some years ago when covering a gathering of Muslims in London who were calling for the death of Salman Rushdie (he of the Satanic Verses). One such demonstrator demanding that Rushdie be killed for violating the Koran was followed back to his town of Bradford by the reporter and found there to be making his living in the selling of alcohol and the loaning of money. This apparently against the teachings of the Koran.
This is where the syndrome comes in. Like so many others he sought to hide the beam in his own eye by pointing out the specks in others.
(The latter is of course from Christian text !)
So your Republicans are jst following the old rule that the best form of defence is attack. And they do so out of fear.Fear of themselves.

The GOP RECRUITS perverts because they can be blackmailed and controlled.

If someone truly had conservative convictions, they might try to be consisten with those, and maybe oppose things like say, corporate welfare, or wars that are fought for essentially the same purpose--enriching a very few at the public's expense.

No, they need guys who will say the right thing, and then say something totally different the next day without hesitation. You only get that kind of reliability when you have a gun to someone's back.

Hear, hear.

I firmly believe that "gay recruiting" is carried out by sexual predators. I'm not saying that all gays have been recruited--in fact, I'm saying that it's far more healthy for one to decide for oneself, independently of intimidation or harassment.

So it's highly ironic that the people complaining the loudest are so often the most guilty, the ones with something to hide.

I'm sick and tired of hypocrisy, and I don't believe those who say that it's simply part of human nature. It indicates that something is missing, something that supports the facility of consideration. I suspect that it's rooted in the inappropriate activation of survival instincts. Destructive social behavior at the hands of (and covered up by) people in positions of power is simply the expression of their damaged personalities writ large across our collective history. Whether they're shamed in the process is our responsibility, as is the simple and obvious fact that it exists because we have tolerated it.

After all, we get what we tolerate.
