Chip Hip Hooray..!

FBI forced to triple fraud squads to keep up with DC evil doers

WASHINGTON - There is so much political corruption on Capitol Hill that the FBI has had to triple the number of squads investigating lobbyists, lawmakers and influence peddlers, the Daily News has learned.

For decades, only one squad in Washington handled corruption cases because the crimes were seen as local offenses handled by FBI field offices in lawmakers' home districts.

But in recent years, the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal and other abuses of power and privilege have prompted the FBI to assign 37 agents full-time to three new squads in an office near Capitol Hill.

FBI Assistant Director Chip Burrus told The News yesterday that he wants to detail even more agents to the Washington field office for a fourth corruption squad because so much wrongdoing is being uncovered.

"Traditionally, a congressional bribery case might be conducted on Main Street U.S.A., but a lot of the stuff we're finding these days is here in Washington," said Burrus, who heads the FBI's criminal division.

He said typical crimes involve lawmakers' illegal interactions with lobbyists and "people who have a lot of savvy about how the congressional process works and appropriations."

Plus, the electronic and legislative paper trail that winds up as evidence is in Washington, as Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) and ex-Rep. Randy (Duke) Cunningham (R-Calif.) can attest.

Ney has agreed to plead guilty to corruption charges. Cunningham was sentenced to eight years in the slammer for taking bribes.

Two years ago, only 400 agents worked on public corruption cases. Now, 615 agents nationwide - including 30 in New York - are trying to nail public servants for betraying the public trust in 2,200 ongoing cases.

A recent FBI search of the Alaska Statehouse was a first of its kind.

In Washington, agents conducted unprecedented searches of the offices of the CIA's third-ranking executive and the House office of Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.).

Both stemmed from bribery allegations.

Burrus wouldn't speculate about why there is so much graft, but said, "We have to pull the whole weed up or it's just going to grow back again."

Just say "No, thank you!" to graft .

And three cheers (not Bronx) for my boss AG Gonzalez's whose top priority and pet project is his "war" on child pornography.

Interesting article Geezer- and I have suspected that when Jay Garner (who had a REAL plan) was fired the night he got into Iraq before he unpacked when the cabal learned he had a REAL plan . Garners "marshall plan" had the intention to get all 3 factions under the tent and get a working gov up and running-as well as services for the people.

Not to mention the shoddy equipment they keep sending that keeps breaking-so they can send more. Its absurd that they ever said it would last a matter of months-since it was never the intention

I am not a believer in the 9-11 inside job conspiracy...I've seen some of the conspiracy videos and I don't buy it...

Popular Mechanics did an excellent job a few years ago of debunking many of the physical aspects of the theories...

I do know that Bushco took total advantage of it to take us to war however...and I don't exclude the possiblity that someone in our government knew something before th attacks and looked the other way...

Regardless, I still feel the WH admin was negligent and incompetent for not taking the pre-911 intelligence on Al Qaeda seriously. And I do think that their other actions have been criminal to say the least ...worst president ever.

It is now clear that Fitzgerald has been playing what the French call a "double jeu" -- a "double game." Eager to protect his and then-New Jersey federal prosecutor Michael Chertoff's own cover-up of the U.S. intelligence links to the 1993 World Trade Center bombers, Fitzgerald folded when confronted with the threat of exposure from Gonzales, who was acting on behalf of Cheney, Rove, and Bush. Cheney's and Libby's ties to Russian-Israeli mobsters like Marc Rich, a major global smuggler in his own right, and their involvement in the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction to form the conditions to promote a casus belli for neocon war goals were the real reasons behind the Cheney's operation to expose Mrs. Wilson and her BJ&A network and Abramoff's and Gonzales' entrapment of CIA asset Ney in a double cross sting operation

So, tell me Fitz? What's up with this?

The White House edited EPA press releases about air quality to make them sound more reassuring, and Christine Todd Whitman put out releases saying the air quality was fine when all the tests weren't even in yet. And guess what, the air wasn't fine at all. And now, 25% of the NYC fire department has respiratory problems because the White House lied to New York policemen and firemen and others who ran to Ground Zero to help on that horrible day.

Senators Reject WH Torture Deal
By Justin Rood - September 19, 2006, 3:03 PM
A White House "compromise" on detainee treatment was rejected by a trio of senior lawmakers today, as Republicans continue to fight among themselves over an issue that was meant to boost their sagging poll numbers in an election year.

The White House continues to push for a new law to allow painful and humiliating treatment of terror detainees, as well as new powers to prosecute them outside of established judicial processes.

Sens. John Warner (R-VA), Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and John McCain (R-AZ) back a bill that sets stricter limits on detainee treatment and prosecution.

After the three men turned down the White House's compromise bill, an unnamed Senate aide calclulated the odds of both sides reaching a compromise at "50-50," CNN reported.

The group is expected to send a counter-proposal to the White House soon. Of course, they have something the White House doesn't: time. None of the three lawmakers face re-election battles, and control of the Senate is unlikely to be swayed by the outcome of this particular fight, so they could take their time in negotiating with the White House during these last two weeks of the session.

The administration, on the other hand, is eager to use detainee treatment as a wedge issue for the midterm House elections, which could determine not only control of the House but also the political future of the administration.

Stay tuned. . .

If we all rush and want the corrupted officals indicted now, we may be taking a risk of those big fishes won't ever getting caught or brought to justice. Time will tell about Fitz as the CIA case goes forward.....

Just because you act a certain way and put up a good act, doesn't mean that the act is really your way.

Case in point: Zionists, Neocons, The British, and the IRS.

Like people have spoken so clearly, they may act like they are good guys serving the public good yet their actions detail the opposite...they are bad guys serving humanity's end and their own agendas.

http://www.tpmmuckraker.com

At least on the surface Fitzgerald has appeared to be a bad guy doing things to serve unsavory agendas...

Playing the part quite well doesn't mean you do the part though. Sometimes its neccesary to follow a different plan....
The likes of Wayne Madsen think this sort of thing is all faulty, yet they have never truly fought in a large scale war.

That would equate the truth is they are not able to know how a game like this is played, since they've never fought one. Many tales through-out the centuries speak of those who played both sides, sometimes reluctantly, to bring down the greatest of evils.

Well, all I can say is read the news. That same type of event is happening again and the ones who truly have the inside story....

Like Mr. Fitzgerald, are the ones fully equipped to put a stop to it. Then there's all the others who pretend to be a certain way, and really work for the New World Order.

Those are all very clear and some are just coming out of the closet. Wayne Madsen is only helping them further, because he does not know what he's dealing with and like many that came before him.....does not comprehend what war is like.

Madsen is more vulnerable to being used and tampered with, just like many other reporters in the mainstream news who do not realize the enemy that is a master of deception. Their unfortunate blindnes to it, is what is destroying many and will cause some of the most vocal leaders to fall.

Who is Barack Obama? Why do people trust them? In the end, they'll find out all of them played both sides too. And were just as interested in the neocon game as everyone on Madsen's hitlist.

Ahmadinejad was elected by the Iranian's on his platform of domestic and economic reform which that country is sorely in need of. He did not espouse radical fundamentalism when running.

None of these promises have been acted upon as he is more concerned with sponsoring Hezbolla and Hamas and furthering the Jihadist cause worldwide.

I would not compare him to Hitler but still he's quite a bad egg and nobodies fool.

There is a large segment of the population there displeased with him and the far right lunacy he continued that keeps their country back in Medieval thought.

These same are the ones Bush was addressing today. His was the talk of a "conquering liberator" trying to gain favor with the populace before striking.

Hey Roger,

Let's whistleblow a little on LaRouchies shall we?

===================================

The LaRouchite Secret Elite Synthesis

The Lyndon LaRouche network, an offshoot of the radical student movement that metamorphosed into a fascist organization in the early 1970s, developed an idiosyncratic doctrine and approach quite different from other far-right groups.

Though often dismissed as a bizarre political cult, the LaRouche organization and its various front groups are a fascist movement whose pronouncements echo elements of Nazi ideology. Beginning in the 1970s, the LaRouchites combined populist antielitism with attacks on leftists, environmentalists, feminists, gay men and lesbians, and organized labor. They advocated a dictatorship in which a humanist elite would rule on behalf of industrial capitalists. They developed an idiosyncratic, coded variation on the Illuminati Freemason and Jewish banker conspiracy theories. Their views, though exotic, were internally consistent and rooted in right-wing populist traditions....

Lyndon LaRouche:
Fascism Wrapped in an American Flag

Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr. is frequently dismissed as a crank or political extremist with no further explanation of his views or the phenomenon he represents. In a democracy based on informed consent, to not understand the nature of the LaRouche phenomenon is a dangerously naive rejection of the lessons of history--because Lyndon LaRouche represents the most recent incarnation of the unique twentieth-century phenomenon known as ***totalitarian fascism.***

LaRouche is hardly the first proponent of these views, and he is unlikely to be the last. Therefore there is a deadly serious reason to study the rise and fall of Lyndon LaRouche, the man who brought us fascism wrapped in an American flag....

"LaRouche's political ideology is authoritarian. His view of history is paranoid. His economic theories are similar to Italian Fascism. His conspiratorial views are laced with racial and cultural bigotry and a large dose of anti-Jewish hysteria. His zealous stormtroopers are motivated by an internal organizational structure that is to politics what the blitzkrieg was to international diplomacy--that distinctive twentieth century phenomenon...the totalitarian movement. History teaches us that to ignore or dismiss such a person as an ineffectual crank can have devestating consequences."

Washington, DC — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is moving ahead this summer to shut down libraries, end public access to research materials and box up unique collections on the assumption that Congress will not reverse President Bush’s proposed budget reductions, according to agency documents released today by Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (PEER). At the same time, EPA’s own scientists are stepping up protests against closures on the grounds that it will make their work more difficult by impeding research, enforcement and emergency response capabilities.

In an August 15, 2006 document entitled “EPA FY 2007 Library Plan,” agency management indicates that it will begin immediately implementing President Bush’s proposed budget cuts for the next fiscal year, which begins in October, without waiting for Congress to act. The memo describes what EPA terms “deaccessioning procedures” (defined as “the removal of library materials from the physical collection”) for its network of 26 technical libraries.....
A key tenet of the new plan is that all research requests will be centrally controlled. The plan calls for “discouraging establishment of divisional or branch mini-libraries” so that central staff can “have knowledge of [the] location” of all research materials. In a mass letter of protest signed this June by representatives for 10,000 EPA scientists and researchers, more than half the total agency workforce, employees contend that the library plan is designed to “suppress information on environmental and public health-related topics.”

“What is going on inside EPA is positively Orwellian,” concluded Ruch.

So, wonder what they will try to centralize next? Worthless, corrupt, controlling

It's so deeply rooted in the sickest warped thinking to be almost unbelievable...but it's true. Paranoia can be catching.

"LaRouche spent the summer and early fall of 1973 obsessed with his broken marriage, brooding over the humiliating betrayal, according to ex-members. Late in December, a revelation came; Christopher White, having already stolen his wife, had in addition been programmed by the KGB, with the aid of the MI5 division of British intelligence, to assassinate LaRouche himself--in retaliation for Mop-Up's assaults on pro-Soviet Communist groups! Further, the CIA--jealous of LaRouche's success in uncovering a previous NCLC victim of KGB brainwashing--had resolved either to kidnap LaRouche to extract his secret, or kill him itself to prevent his falling into Soviet hands."

"Only LaRouche possessed the intelligence and perception to uncover and foil this fiendish plot, and not surprisingly, he alone held the keys for the cure--in White's case, days of isolation and intense pressure from a battery of LaRouche inquisitors. White finally caved in and confessed to his alleged "psychosexual brainwashing" by the KGB/CIA/MI5 conspirators. Based on tape-recordings offered by NCLC members as "proof," the New York Times later carried a harrowing account of this so-called "deprogramming" session. LaRouche's revenge was complete; White--who had taken his wife--had been reduced to a repentant, sobbing psychological wreck."

When are these extreme Christian men going to take some responsibility for anything relating to sex? Do you think Sean was a good boy as he grew up? Listening to him and watching FOX news–it’s all Rosie’s fault anyway. I wonder if Sean ever said, " Baby we shouldn’t do this, but you’re such a promiscuous little thing and I am so absolved in God’s eyes. You on the other hand are full of sin."

Hannity needs sex bad, the little asswipe! I guess he won't interview Rove since Daddy Rove has sugar in his tank! LOL!

Did Saddam let Christians worship and others worship as they wanted in Iraq?

Did women go to school and have more rights then say, Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan?

Unfortunately for the real nazis (the zionists) LaRouche was correct.

They infiltrated his movement with numerous provacateurs, but he in the underlying spectacle was always the one who was right.

iamthewitness.com

Their inability to grasp this fact, has discredited the whole movement of Nazis, neocons who play both sides, and other inequities which make up modern militant Zionism.

LaRouche never went away to much chargin of his detractors. He only came forward ten times as strong, and loosened the bolts over the whole "New World Order" conspiracy.....

Which was designed in someone's classic basement, a cult of heretic Jews and other worshippers of the Talmud who think they're above the law to this day.

History can learn something big from them, and that's what the LaRouche attackers are afraid of.

White House Drops a Condition on Interrogation Bill

Lynne Cheney told 120 Louisville schoolchildren Monday that the U.S. Constitution has helped keep America strong despite the terrorist attacks of 2001.

Cheney, the wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, told the fifth-graders that the Constitution also stands as a lesson because it required resolve and hard work to create.

rawstory.com

“We haven’t ever accomplished anything in this country without a lot of persistence,” she said.

Cheney, who is the author of 10 books, spoke at the University of Louisville’s McConnell Center to mark National Constitution Day.

She discussed her 2002 children’s book called “America: A Patriotic Primer,” which each student got free. She said the nation has thrived under the Constitution, “even though they hurt the towers,” a reference to the 9/11 attacks.

“There are so many people in the world who would love to be free like we are,” she said.

Every American and world citizen should strive to see the truth is revealed about 9/11 and these horrible people. Lynne Cheney likes to sit on 'think tanks', write her books and lie to children.

I saw the UN speech by the Gerbil. Most of the people were talking and not paying attention. But one thing struck me all the talk of Iran/Syria possibly creating WMD while nothing is said about North Korea who has shown the world their weapons. Also Bush asked Syria to torture a prisoner yet telling the UN how evil they are. I hope the world leaders realize what friendship means to the Gerbil as who will be stabbed in the back next.
The President of Iran is the smartest leader and has the same charisma like Bill Clinton. His interview with Brian Williams was on the mark. Brian asked Mr. Ahmadinejad about getting WMD, Ahmadinejad asked who has the atomic bomb and used it and who has thousands of WMD's to protect their country yes the United States. Nice answer and correct.

Jackie, you should have seen the full interview with Mike Wallace. Wallace was getting upset with the Iranian President because he wanted to make him look bad and put words in his mouth.

Bush would never, ever debate him--he's too dumb and couldn't bully him.

Clinton and Ahmadinejad that's the ticket. I saw Wallace and Ahmadinejad your right. But this guys is so smooth and has charisma it to much. He thinks quick and knows his history. Bush would be blown out of the water by this guy. Even Cheney couldn't keep up with him. I find intelligent men fascinating. It's nothing like letting your mind work with new and debatable information. Now there's one person that I'd love to sit with and pick his brain and that's one of the smartest men I know Patrick J. Fitzgerald. I met Johnnie Cochran on a flight to California from New York and I had one hour with him and we talked law I learned so much but not a word about OJ just law.

No new Iraq plan, no new course and no plan to bring the troops home. Just one lone statement of “stay the course” from a man with no plan. No connection between 9/11 and Iraq. Even a child could see this is a scam from this sham of an administration. Bush should be ashamed of himself.

Top of the morning all
Well today we'll hear more about President Ahmadinejad vs the Gerbil. Once the American people get to see and hear the Iran President for themselves it's takes on a different picture that what Bush gave us. The world will be talking about the two speeches of the both US and Iran. Let's see how much trouble the Gerbil can get in today.
Have a great day and remember to smile.

So what happens next?

The army has promised to return power to the people swiftly and says a new prime minister will be appointed within two weeks. "I would like to assure that the Council has no intention of running the country by itself and will return power, under the constitutional monarchy, to the people as soon as possible," Sonthi said.

Roll Call: Four go from House to 'big house,' and more Members may follow

Four "disgraced" Members have gone from the House to the "big house," and more might join them soon, according to an article at Roll Call.

"With Rep. Bob Ney’s (R-Ohio) guilty plea on federal corruption charges last Friday and a stint in prison looming for the lawmaker, the House suddenly finds the ranks of its alumni behind bars growing to a level not seen in a decade," writes John Bresnahan.

"When Ney heads off to prison, likely sometime next year, he will become the fourth Member to be locked up for criminal behavior, and the Ohio Republican may not be the last," the article continues. "Ney will join ex-Reps. James Traficant (D-Ohio), Duke Cunningham (R-Calif.) and Frank Ballance (D-N.C.), all of whom currently are being held in federal correctional facilities."

Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.) could join this group of disgraced Members soon. Jefferson is at the center of a federal bribery probe that already has resulted in lengthy prison terms for two men involved in the scandal, including Brett Pfeffer, a former Jefferson aide. Jefferson has not been charged in the case and has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, but FBI agents turned up $90,000 in marked bills in Jefferson’s freezer when they searched his home last year.

In fact, not since the early 1990s, when the House Bank, Post Office and Page scandals were roiling Capitol Hill and prematurely ending dozens of political careers, have so many lawmakers been in prosecutors’ sights.

From 1993 to 1996, 10 Members went to prison for varying lengths of time, and at least four, and possibly as many as six, were imprisoned at the same time, according to media reports. The list of jailed lawmakers included House stalwarts such as Rep. Dan Rostenkowski (D-Ill.), the powerful chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. The stench of corruption emanating from the Democrat-controlled House helped Republicans win control of the chamber in 1994, and they immediately instituted a reform agenda that included new restrictions on lobbyists and gifts to lawmakers and staff.

Yes Thaksin is, or was, he was caught cashing out and tried to usurp the military hierarchy and gain total control.

He just cut a deal for almost 2 billion US so dont feel bad for him.

9:52am--Oh no, I don't feel sorry for him one bit, I read the whole article. I hope the military keeps its word. Things seem peaceful so far and the citizens seem to know the change is for the good.

Unlike the veiled rumblings of the policed state we keep see popping up here...to be controlled, brainwashed and tested, to perform jobs like robots or entertainment for the elite; unless you are an useless eater of course---then you will be gone or an experiment. You may scoff or laugh but too many sources keep saying almost the same thing. Interesting how we all seem to want to accept lies and march our children into slavery.

How awful for these people that want to control others never to have known unconditional love or having being raised that insecure.

You are right. The Gerbil would never debate the Iranian President He would get creamed like when John Kerry creamed the Gerbil in the 2004 Presidential debate. The Gerbil couldn't debate a 5 year old. This is how stupid the Gerbil is. I believe any blogger on this blog can debate the Gerbil and put him into shame. The Gerbil's strength is reaching for the bottle that he yearns so much for.

Iraq For Sale: Interview With Robert Greenwald

Filmmaker Robert Greenwald joined Keith tonight to talk about his new movie Iraq for Sale and the egregious war profiteering of Halliburton and subsidiary Kellogg Brown and Root in Iraq. Greenwald, who held a press conference with Democratic Policy Chairman Byron Dorgan (D-ND) yesterday on the lack of war profiteering accountability, talked briefly about Henry Waxman — the Ranking Member on the Committee of Government Reform — who, if the Democrats take the House in November, will use his new found subpoena power to hold these people accountable. Some of the highlights — or, more appropriately, lowlights — of Senator Dorgans hearing on Iraq Contracting Practices can be seen here

I really highly recommend to se the movie. Greenwald is one my favorite directors who continue to shine in his movies that speak the truth about this country and he has been against the war in Iraq from the beginning..

Public Corruption !

Well a area I know all too well, having been involved in some of the deepest " Dark Operations" from Viet-Nam to domestic op's. I can now that I am retired. State we were involved in some of the most horrible deepest corrupt secrets ever. All inside US Boundry's Long ago 4 very powerful men, DCI Casey, ISA Deputy Armitage and two US Army Intell men decided to start a New Covert Very Black Group, some of it was good for the Nation most of it was bad for many. Sadly it was re-formed again now only to do domestic op's for the WH. I was asked to come back on board, I declined but was privy to enough that we are in fof a Real Shock.
