Scarborough Country Revolt..?

Save Yourself, Blame Bush

By Joe Scarborough
Sunday, September 17, 2006

I can't help but feel sorry for my old Republican friends in Congress who are fighting for their political lives. After all, it must be tough explaining to voters at their local Baptist church's Keep Congress Conservative Day that it was their party that took a $155 billion surplus and turned it into a record-setting $400 billion deficit.

How exactly does one convince the teeming masses that Republicans deserve to stay in power despite botching a war, doubling the national debt, keeping company with Jack Abramoff, fumbling the response to Hurricane Katrina, expanding the government at record rates, raising cronyism to an art form, playing poker with Duke Cunningham, isolating America and repeatedly electing Tom DeLay as their House majority leader?

How does a God-fearing Reagan Republican explain all that away?

Easy. Blame George W. Bush. <more & more>

Interesting article by Joe Scarborough... Blame Bush? Funny, the Gerbil and company and the GOP koolaid drinkers blamed Bill Clinton everything that has happened in this country including the 9/11 attack. As much as the Gerbil is an idiot and who is responsible for all of the graft GOP politicians that is being exposed and they want to point the finger only at the Gerbil, three fingers should be pointed back at the GOP politicians.. They are just as responsible for this mess in this country as well as the Gerbil. They made a decision to join the Gerbil's base and sold themselves to the devil. I haven't heard one graft GOP politicians ever utter the word that they will take personal responsibility for what they did to this country and constituents. Otherwise, the one-armed bandit defense is getting nauseating and making their people in their states determined to want a change.

Well they do have a new strategy ;-)

New Anti-Terrorism Strategy
http://www.theonion.com/content/node/52704

The White House recently released an updated version of its anti-terrorism strategy, "National Strategy For Combating Terrorism." Here are its main new components:

* Setting up decoy "pro-terrorism centers" around nation to capture terrorists
* Staging, foiling series of attacks
* Ignoring terrorists so they get frustrated and go away
* Introducing new slogan: "If you see, hear, feel, smell, or taste something, say something"
* Holding all Americans until they feel safe again
* Increasing national wait times
* Allocating $1.2 trillion for development of terror-seeking missiles
* Stopping terrorism for real this time

On a side note, the ABC/GOP movie "Path of 9/11" didn't do well in the Nielsen ratings overall:

Prime-time viewership numbers compiled by Nielsen Media Research for Sept. 4-10. Top 20 listings include the week's ranking, with viewership for the week and season-to-date rankings in parentheses. An "X" in parentheses denotes a one-time-only presentation.

2. (12) "House," Fox, 19.65 million viewers.
3. (X) NFL Football: Miami vs. Pittsburgh, NBC, 19.2 million viewers.
4. (X) "Sunday Night NFL Pre-Kick," NBC, 14.50 million viewers.

Scarborough is trying to save his butt when the boom begins.. Many of the GOP are all turning on one another and pointing the finger to the Gerbil. the GOP is no different from corporate cut throat businesess. Everybody is blaming everybody. Ken Lay blamed Andrew Fastow for the Enron collapse and mastermind. And my question to Lay is why was he CEO and why was getting paid? Nevertheless, the GOP need to blame someone for the 6 years of mess in this country. And Scarborough is the biggest hypercrite. While they stesling and living the hog for 6 years and eating good, now that the stuff is hitting the fan, now the GOP wants to play the blame game.

PS From Bellville News Democrat:

U.S. Attorney Patrick J. Fitzgerald has acknowledged that his office is investigating Blagojevich's hiring practices, including whether the process was manipulated to favor political clout and skirt laws giving veterans and others first crack at state jobs.

Blagojevich has long maintained his hiring process was "blind" to the names of applicants, but a series of Associated Press articles showed that the governor's aides were approving hires by name as late as fall 2004.

Such patronage practices have already led to the conviction of four Chicago officials, including a former key aide to Mayor Richard M. Daley.

Robert Sorich, 43, and three other men were convicted by a federal court jury July 6 of taking part in a scheme under which fraud allegedly was used to cover up violations of a court order barring patronage hiring.

Way to go Fitz ;-) Vets should never be cast aside-the rich have already made their money on the backs of vets

"Me thinks WMR is jealous." And maybe Fitz should add WMR to list not to contact for an interview when the case is over. Aot of WMR are over the top at times... Everybody has spin on this case and especially why Fitz released Porkrind. One thing I caught from that article that Luskin had a si-called 10 page report from Fitz stated that Porkrind wasn;t ever going to be charged. What I want to know is where is this 10 page report and how come there was mention of Luskin contact of Porkrind through his blackberry?

How Bush Rules: Torture and The Quest For Unfettered Power

“We do not torture,” President Bush has said time and again. But Bush has approved techniques that are defined as torture under the Geneva Conventions. In fact, he abrogated U.S. compliance with Article 3 of the Conventions that specifically prohibits torture. Indeed, his then White House counsel and now attorney general Alberto Gonzales contemptuously referred to the Conventions as “quaint.”

Wmr is too long, he's trying to say the release letter of Porkchop was 10 pages long? To that little pipsqueak lawyer? If that was the case, those freaks would have waved it around. And Mr. Fitz would have been smarter to call a press conference to really cover his butt if he needed to do it, he's not stupid. Desperate neocon porker looking for some slop. LOL.

(I only have to see Bout and Condi's names and that pisses me off. Would an arms dealer hesitate to sell to both sides of a conflict? Would Ambien play both sides? Mass Murderers.) tk

We allwill be wondering..

From WMR:

Therefore, an unusual "SEALED vs. SEALED" indictment of the grand jury against Rove remains sealed to this day and Rove attorney Robert Luskin maintains a veil of secrecy around a 10-page letter, dated June 12, 2006, that stated that Fitzgerald did not intend to charge Rove in the leak of Valerie Plame Wilson's name and identity to a number of journalists. Nor did Fitzgerald charge either Rove or Libby with the underlying crime of violating the Intelligence Identities Protection Act -- an act cited by federal appellate Judge David Tatel in a February 2005 as having "serious" national security implications.

I hope Fitz make a note of the date of that so-called 10 page "phantom letter." Interesting WMR's spin about the smurf. They must have been smoking something of this latest spin. LOL!

I noticed how the journalist that supported and lied for Bush are doing a 360 degree turn. Tweety is laying low and Tim Russert is finally asking the tough questions. As the White House spins the CIA case and blames Fitz it only gives Fitz more exposure. Now that's a good thing. As the world knows the name of an honest smart devoted attorney. Bush is a great PR man. Gonzo is going to be selling tomatoes at a the road side stand.

T--There is all kinds of monkey business going on in Illinois with hiring. Corruption is a 'religion' here. I know some folks just switched a job ad to favor a buddy who will soon be hired. They did not know this buddy was going to apply so there was a before job ad and an after job ad which favored the buddy. As a result of what comes next, a qualified person with a physical challenge who is a little bit more limited in the types of job choices will be passed over. After the discrepancy in the job ads got pointed out, they switched the job ad back to the original. Of course, the person who questioned it kept copies of the 'evolution' of the job ad.

That is just a little tiny thing compared to everything else going on here. It is just a little minnow in a Lake Michigan filled with corruption.

As to today's Meet the Press with the Allen dude. I had no idea that a person in his position would keep a hanging rope from the slavery days. I just saw in my mind the pictures of those people hanging from trees. Allen said he had to learn as Russert said but you were old when you held office how long do you have to learn. We are really getting to know the real people and not just the title people.

MR. RUSSERT: This is not the first time that people have looked at your record, and, and, and raised questions. The New York Times said, “In 1984, as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, Mr. Allen opposed a state holiday honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. After being elected governor in 1993, he issued a proclamation honoring Confederate History Month.” And the Associated Press says, “Allen used to keep a Confederate flag in his living room, a noose in his law office and a picture of Confederate troops in his governor’s office.” Can you imagine black Americans, black Virginians reading that? What would they be thinking about George Allen, and why did you do that?
