Another One Bites The Dust..!

Graft is a slippery slope to Shameville for Bob Ney

"After much consideration and thought I have decided today to no longer seek re-election in Ohio’s 18th Congressional District. I am extremely proud of my 25 years serving the people of Ohio. We’ve accomplished many things to make this state better and I will always be grateful for the trust my constituents put in me. Ultimately this decision came down to my family. I must think of them first, and I can no longer put them through this ordeal.”

“I am deeply grateful for all of the trust and support my family, friends and constituents have given me over the past two years. I look forward to serving out the rest of my term and serving the constituents of the 18th District.”

Cry me a river.

Good Afternoon, fellow bloggers!

It is interesting that Bob Ney quits. I believe that he will still be indicted for his ties with Abramoff!

I read this article this morning about Martha Stewart:

Martha Stewart settles with SEC over insider trades

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Lifestyle trendsetter Martha Stewart agreed to pay $195,000 in a settlement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the SEC announced on Monday.

I would be curious to know what the SEC will do about Bill Frist!

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks!

TGIM!

It figures Bob Ney quits the election. Ney never put any money into his election race in the second quarter. I think that Ney was banking on that the Senate Ethics Committee were going to let go the investigation of his ties to Abramoff. When they didn't, Ney is screwed. It is just a mtter of time in which he will be indicted.. But, this is defintely a domino effect from the corrupted GOPs running for office to bail out.. I wonder if Conrad Burns is next since he is trailing in the pols!

Roger,

That is why the Ambien Cheney is stumping in Montana to do a fundraising for Conrad Burns. Burn is not doing well in the polls. After reading some of Burns' racist remarks in the past and his remarks to the firefighters, he should toss out of office from his ears. And his denial of his connection with Abramoff will catch up with him.

Speaking of corruption, this is interesting to know about the CA GOPs:

Corruption Update: Californian Republicans Deep in the Muck

The LA Times has found that Californian Republicans are particularly overrepresented in these scandals because even though California is a blue state, Californian Republicans have a lot of clout. Out of the 20 Republican House members from California, 6 of them have powerful chairmanships on major committees.
Despite the state's predilection for voting Democratic, six of its 20 Republican Congress members are chairmen of major committees. Their rise has brought millions of federal dollars and other benefits to parts of the state. Thomas snagged about $755 million for his district in last year's highway bill. Rep. Jerry Lewis (R-Redlands), chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, tucked $4.25 million for his district into one recent spending bill — more than the individual allocations for 11 states.

In the opening stages Arthur C. Clarke explained how there were four stages in the way scientists react to the development of anything of a revolutionary nature. "Free energy" was now working its way through these four stages of reaction, which were:

a: "It's nonsense," b: "It is not important," c: "I always said it was a good idea," and d: "I thought of it first."

The scene moved to Rome, Georgia where Jim Griggs of Hydrodynamics, Inc. demonstrated the assembly and operation of a "hydrosonic water pump" which operated over-unity by producing hot water or steam with energy in excess of the electrical energy input to the pump motor. "Over-unity" was confirmed by satisfied customers, including the Albany Fire Station, where engineers from the "local university" and the "local power company" had been called in to verify the over-100% efficiency. «

Youth Give Bush Poor Grade, Hurting Republican Hopes, Poll Says

Aug. 7 (Bloomberg) -- President George W. Bush's hopes of attracting a new generation of voters to the Republican Party may be fading, as younger Americans are far more critical of his job performance than the broader population.
A Bloomberg/Los Angeles Times poll of Americans age 18 to 24 found Bush's approval rating was 20 percent, with 53 percent disapproving and 28 percent with no opinion. That compares to a 40 percent approval rating among Americans of all ages in a separate Bloomberg/Times poll.

Folks,

Be aware of eminent domain by the government:

Eminent Domain on State Ballots

When a divided court ruled in Kelo v. New London that private landowners had no constitutional grounds to resist eminent-domain property seizures, it effectively kicked regulation of government condemnation suits back to the states. The reaction has been swift: Several states are considering laws that would limit a local government’s ability to exercise eminent domain, or the taking of private property for public purpose. Other measures that voters are likely to consider deal with “takings,” or government restrictions on private property, such as zoning and building regulations.
In Ohio last month, the state Supreme Court ruled that cities must have a specific reason to seize private property under eminent domain and can’t rely on broad justification like economic development to force unwilling landowners to sell. This fall, voters in several states will decide on property-rights proposals.
In the South, four states are entertaining ballot proposals that would tighten the eminent-domain process. A Florida initiative requires local governments to sell expropriated property back to the owners if the land isn’t used for the stated purpose, while ballot initiatives in Georgia and South Carolina would crimp government use of eminent domain. In populist-leaning Louisiana, a ballot proposal would prevent local or state government from condemning property and then transferring it to another individual or group, a measure that could affect how the state rebuilds after two devastating hurricanes last year.

The following states have taken a step to have this issue on the ballot:

Washington
California
Nevada
Arizona
New Hampshire
Idaho
Montana
Louisiana
Georgia
South Carolina
Florida

Roger Rancourt omteresting statement about how Hillary is a crook. Now what does that make Bush? Should America keep the GOP because the Dems are crooks. Who would you feel would be a good honest President or should be just keep going in the same direction. Maybe you might feel Bush/Cheney should continue in office as the country is in the best shape it's ever been in. We now have the respect of the world and we're the true leaders of the free world. Bush can continue to spread his form of Democracy to all the world even if they don't want it. Bush can continue to destroy the US Constitution until he gives us his form of United States laws (1984). Bring Lieberman and others back to stay the course, who cares that our troops are being killed like ducks. Yes that Hillary and others aren't right to run this country. Please let Bush make a law that criminals like Abramoff and Cunningham don't have to be charged with crimes. Oh yes lying is legal but only for the GOP friends. If you get what you want Roger look for a real invasion and who ever invades the US will win because a our country will be divided. Just another thought what country helped the US during the civil war as Americans are butting in the Israel/Lebanon conflict by taking sides with Israel. Remember Israel and Lebanon are half brothers by birth it's a family problem ever since God gave each their land. But I know Satan aka Bush is making and enjoying the chaos while saying he wants it to end but doing as much as he can to keep it going.

The Israelis possesses the right to govern all other peoples and it is promised to them to possess and control a daily the whole world 3)
The Israelis boast with its murder at whole peoples and kingdoms 4)
It is ordered to the Israeliten to kill all humans of the areas, where they whant to live, to kill all member of strange nations into the farmhand shank do not go 5)
It is forbidden the Israelis to make their own master comrades slaves but is stopped it to en-slave not Israelis and they have the right to always leave it to their descendants as slaves 6)
Israelis is forbidden to mix member with other trunks to conjugal or "its seeds to mix with the others and own“ 7)
Footnotes here

These statements are the basis of the Jewish faith. Those, which sit elsewhere in the United States and at the shift levers of the political influence, are conscious itself of the fear-exciting power of the Israeli lobby. The Jew lobby is the only lobby in the USA, to which no politician dares to offer the forehead. It would have to actually prepare sleepless nights for each patriotic American that the strongest lobby is located in the American congress in the service of a strange nation. The release of Palestine can take place only then if the Europ-Americans shook the Jewish yoke off.
The conception that a government is to represent their own people and any strange power was not, the basic principle of the American declaration of independence and nation becoming. This is located clearly in the condition of the USA written, where of a government "for us and our descendants" the speech is. As 21. Century starts, Madeline Albright was American Foreign Minister, George Tenet director/conductor of the CIA, William Cohen US Secretary of Defense and Sandy Berger of chairmen of the national security council. They all are Jews.

The Gerbil and Shug Excellent Adventure

Condi, to Time Magazine over the weekend:

I don't think Iraq is going to slide into civil war. They have a problem with sectarian violence. [But] I don't think that you're looking at the breakdown of the institutions; people haven't opted out of a unified Iraq.

Bush, preparing for a civil war, over the weekend:

The Bush administration insists Iraq is a long way from civil war, but the contingency planning has already begun inside the White House and the Pentagon. President Bush will move U.S. troops out of Iraq if the country descends into civil war, according to one senior Bush aide who declined to be named while talking about internal strategy. "If there's a full-blown civil war, the president isn't going to allow our forces to be caught in the crossfire," the aide said. "But institutionally, the government of Iraq isn't breaking down. It's still a unity government."

Bush, today:

BUSH: My attitude is that a young democracy has been born quite quickly. And I think the Iraqi government has shown remarkable progress on the political front. And that is is that they developed a modern constitution that was ratified by the people and then 12 million people voted for a government.

Republicans push Santorum 'momentum' as gap narrows in polls

Polls have long showed challenger Bob Casey leading Santorum by double digits. However, that gap has dwindled to about 6-8%, according to some pollsters.
A major advertising push for the embattled Senator has preceded the poll boost Republicans so eagerly tout.
Republicans point to a clear cash advantage for Santorum, who by mid-July had raised over $20 million for his re-election bid. The number was double that raised by Democratic moderate Casey, who was left with just $5.2 million cash on hand to the Senator's $9.5.

Disgraced Republican congressman Bob Ney is trying to pick his successor. But, he has a problem:

In OH-18, "Sore Loser" Rule Complicates

Washington Wire reports that an obscure Ohio law known as the "sore loser rule" may derail Rep. Bob Ney's (R-OH) desire to have State Sen. Joy Padgett (R) replace him on the ballot in November.

The rule prevents a candidate who loses one primary to run again in the same election cycle. Padgett was the running mate of gubernatorial candidate James Petro (R), who lost to Ken Blackwell (R) in the primary earlier this year.

http://politicalwire.com/archives/2006/08/07/in_oh18_sore_loser_rule_complicates.html

Who is Joy Padgett?

Padgett and Ney have a long, close history. Padgett refused to return $5,000 that Ney's federal campaign committee gave her way in 2004. From the Coshocton Tribune, in an article from Jan. 18, 2006:
State Sen. Joy Padgett (R-Coshocton) said she had no doubts about Ney's innocence.
"I looked him in the eye," she said. "We've talked. If he says to me that he is going to be cleared of all of this, then I believe him."
She has no intention of giving back the $5,000 she received from Ney in 2004.
"I think that was a good-faith donation," Padgett said. "I don't think it's an Abramoff donation."

Aaron has now stepped out and produced a radical new movie called 'America: From Freedom to Fascism' and it has received standing ovations in theatres from all around the country in its test marketing. Destined to be one of this years great movies, he takes things way further than Michael Moore and proves that the there is nothing in the tax code that says you have to pay tax on your labor.

Now it's time for you to decide for yourself. Do we stand up for our constitutional rights or do we bury our heads in fear from political and social pressure."

BP: Pipeline closing may last for months

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - BP said Monday it discovered corrosion so severe that it will have to replace 16 miles of pipeline at the huge Prudhoe Bay oil field — work that could shut down the nation's single biggest source of domestic crude for months and drive gasoline prices even higher.

Gas prices will go up and people will get pissed. I hope that they get sick and tired of being sick of tired and got to the polls in November!

I find it so fascinating that Americans don't know anything about the Middle East or the Culture. Now every country knows about the US and even speak english yet we know nothing. So it's understandable that Hezbollah and Al Qeada are so famous. If we only learned about the Middle East before assuming we might not have made asses of ourselfs. To think Americans invaded Iraq without knowing the three religious groups or knowning that Lebanon elected the officials as some are from the group of Hezbollah. Now it makes since why we're losing on all fronts while Israel just keeps on attacking. As America is ranked 24th in the world on education we were number one that answers all the questions. Even Polan is better educated than Americans. Just ask any American what countries boarder Lebanon without looking at a map and you'll understand.

Drowning in

Midwest Missing Student Mystery

Missing college students are turning up dead.

Either a serial killer is on the loose in the
upper Midwest, leaving victims in area rivers --
or the Heartland is drowning in coincidence.

Wednesday, March 1, 2006 -- The St. Cloud Police Department said the body of missing St. Cloud State University student Scot Radel was found in the Mississippi River at about 1:45 PM. Chief Dennis Ballantine told reporters there was "no evidence of foul play," and that there were no obvious signs of injury. Radel's cell phone, keys, watch and wallet were found on his body.

"Now we have to figure out how he ended up being in that river. I don't know
if we'll ever find out why, but we will follow up on evidence that comes in."
-- Police Chief Ballantine

"How could Scot Radel get disoriented on the streets in a town where he had been attending college for years? Why did he head for the river, blocks away from where he was last seen? How could he have tumbled down a riverside embankment where it would be difficult to fall into the river?"

-- questions raised by Allan Radel in a
March 3, 2006 Star-Tribune Article

Allan Radel:

"I think he was disoriented and got into a vehicle, either voluntarily or involuntarily. At some point, I believe Scot recognized he was in trouble. Obviously, he was overly intoxicated and disoriented. He was vulnerable.

"I think once he recognized what was going on -- he was a pretty tough kid, a wrestler -- he managed to get away. He ran out of fear and maybe didn't know where he was going, even that he was going toward the river. He went rolling down that pretty steep hill. When he got to the bank, he didn't want to go back up toward who he was running away from.

"Directly across the river is a lighted stairway. He's on the ice and heads toward it, not realizing there was open water ahead of him. He goes in the water and [swims] as far as he could -- he was a terrific swimmer, very strong. But the water was cold, he had shoes on. So he swam until he couldn't anymore.

". . . I believe predators are preying on students who are leaving the downtown bars in St. Cloud pretty intoxicated."

"I'm disappointed his father feels that way.
There's absolutely no evidence anything like that is happening."
-- St. Cloud Police Sgt. Jerry Edblad

KSTP News in Minneapolis filed a report on February 18, 2006 with the headline:

"Jenkins Case May Not Be Closed"

University of Minnesota student Chris Jenkins vanished on Halloween, 2002. His remains were recovered in the Mississippi River four months later. Since no obvious signs of foul play were found, detectives determined Chris' death to have been an accident.

Chris parents, Jan and Steve Jenkins, never felt Minneapolis police did a thorough investigation. They don't believe their son simply got drunk, walked into the river and accidentally drowned -- because no obvious signs of an accident were found. The KSTP article lists some of the troubling items:

The exact location of Chris' body. "If he came from upstream, that points towards foul play," says Steve Jenkins.

The condition of the shoes and clothing. Jenkins commented, "His shirt was tucked in, and drowning victims' shirts are not tucked in."

The exact poition of the body. While most drowning victims float face down, Chris' body was on its back, arms folded across the chest. "What this should say is, in our minds, there's a red flag the size of Texas . . . Something's wrong with the picture," says Jan Jenkins.

KSTP caught everyone off guard with word from Assistant Police Chief Tim Dolan that the case is not completely closed. "It's fairly cold. I can't get into specifics, but it's not as cold as others," Dolan reports. "If we can ascertain where Chris may have entered, or may not, that's all the better . . . Right now we're looking for all the information we can get on that case."

Jan Jenkins is quoted as saying, "For the first time since Chris' disappearance and death, I will feel as if his life -- his death -- have been dignified by an investigation."

Research from visitors to this site has revealed several names of students who have inexplicably gone missing. Two of those cases stand out as being situations that have notable -- coincidental -- similarities to other cases mentioned on this web page.

Ryan Katcher

Late on Nov. 5, 2000, Ryan Katcher was driven to his Oakwood, Illinois home by a friend. He vanished. Neither the University of Illinois sophomore nor his Ford F-150 truck have ever been located.

Gary Miller, Vermilion County sheriff's chief investigator commented on the investigation:

"We don't suspect foul play (in Ryan's case), but we don't have enough information to rule out anything. We know he was taken home from a party by a friend and we know absolutely nothing after that about where he went . . . He was there and then he was gone and there are no clues. It's a total mystery."

Ryan's mother, Linda Katcher Griffith is still searching for her son, who at the time was described as a 5-foot-6-inch, 160 pound, blond, blue-eyed, 19-year-old.

Justin Hayduk

Justin Hayduk, was last seen in the early hours of March 10, 2001 in Morgantown, West Virginia where he'd gone for spring break. He and a friend had been drinking at a fraternity party and after leaving, they were stopped by a police officer. Justin ran from the scene and then vanished.

"You see a lot of things on a college campus on a Friday or Saturday night," West Virginia University's police chief, Bob Roberts commented. "We didn't have a reason to pursue him."

When last seen, 18-year-old Justin was described as having brown hair and eyes, 140 pounds, 5 feet 7 inches tall, and wearing a tan vest over a white shirt, with blue jeans and cap.

The only lead police had was the white baseball cap, discovered March 13, 2001 on a bank of the Monongahela River.

Justin's parents, Mike and Cheryl Hayduk spent months searching for the University of Pittsburgh student. Then, on May 24, 2001, medical examiners in Charleston positively identified a body found in the Monongahela River as the missing freshman.

Justin Hayduk was a 2000 graduate of Chambersburg High School and was attending college on academic scholarship.

"They drank hard and partied long, then stumbled into the night with a sense of bravado, clueless to the danger ahead."
-- Richard Meryhew's Star-Tribune article, "One last sip, One last step"

Clueless?

Scot Radel's baseball cap

February 19, 2006

The La Crosse County Medical Examiner has carefully analyzed the phenomenon of missing/drowned students and concluded the coincidental deaths are just a big joke:

"Yes I believe all the evidence suggests that there is a KILLER amongst us. And these men are dying at the Killer's hands along with thousands of other victims every year, and that Killer has a name, his name is Al Cohol."

A February 11, 2006 article in Minneapolis' Star-Tribune about the odd disappearance of Scot Radel includes quotes from several other Midwest officials. Though none are quite as funny as the La Crosse M.E., the public servants are similarly dismissive of the possibility that these strange drownings are not simple drinking accidents.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner led the search for Josh Guimond, the still missing St. John's University student. Sanner cites the idea that many Midwest campuses are near a river. "It'd be no different than having a university sitting at the edge of the Grand Canyon, and then all of a sudden having these students fall to their death while sitting on the edge of the Grand Canyon."

Gary Foster, Deputy Police Chief in Eau Claire, Wisconsin where several students have vanished, figures "once they get disoriented, or get into an environment or a riverbank or something that's really treacherous, bad things happen."

If it weren't for the seriousness of the issue, those comments would be laughable.

Generally speaking, all of the missing student's stories are alcohol-related, but it is not clear what specific role alcohol played in each case.

Scot Radel had reportedly been drinking with friends the night he went missing. Officials were quick to point out that alcohol was likely a factor. But alcohol consumption alone can't explain away his sudden disappearance.

Scot's family and friends describe him as an especially meticulous, trustworthy and stable young man. They're certain he did not wander off.

Photos taken of Scot shortly before he disappeared prove he was not falling down drunk. He was not so "disoriented" and "clueless" that he wouldn't recognize a river. He was on the phone speaking with friends at the time he vanished.

Scot's roommate Tony Hartle, who has known Scot since kindergarten, doesn't believe alcohol alone is behind his friend's disappearance. He gave reporters his assessment based on the specific facts of the situation:

"I don't think he went freely. It wasn't a drunken stupor walk into the river -- I'm not saying that's what happened -- I'm just saying there's another key element. There's somebody else involved here. . . Somebody put him into this situation."

The La Crosse M.E. may not agree, but Tony Hartle's words echo a conclusion that many, many people who've seriously looked at these cases have come to. Along with the alcohol, some other thing or some other person must be involved.

Tuesday, February 14, 2006 -- Police locate Scot Radel's baseball cap in the Mississippi River near a dam by St. Cloud State University. Police Chief Dennis Ballentine says he's confident Radel's body is in the river, but the search has been called off because of unsafe ice. The river search likely won't resume until spring.

"I know there is no way my son simply walked out into the river . . .
There's more to the story than this. It doesn't end here."
-- Scot's father, Allan Radel

Missing Persons Report

On February 13, 2006 the St. Cloud Times reported there was nothing to report about Scot Radel, the St. Cloud State University student who vanished the night of February 2. The only tidbit of news was that footprints police had found near the river appeared to be those of someone running.

Scot's family is worried sick. His dad, Allan Radel said, "Not knowing where your son is -- this is hell." The missing 21-year-old may be alive and well, but after a week and a half of intense searches, it's hard to hold out hope for a happy ending.

"I think something happened to him downtown on Thursday night. What happened to him, I don't know," said Jeff Radel, Scot's brother.

St. Cloud police seem just as baffled.

"Let's be honest, we're getting to the point where something bad has happened, whether accidental or otherwise. But we have absolutely no evidence whatsoever that he was attacked or abducted or anything like that," said Police Chief Dennis Ballantine. "Usually in a case like this someone would say 'oh we saw him here, we saw him there.' We're not even getting those. It's like he just vanished."

Along with the brief Radel article, the St. Cloud paper featured a story with the headline: "Heaps of Overtime Drain Police Force." Reporter Kari Petrie notes that in 2005, the department had almost 20,000 hours of overtime -- the equivalent of more than nine additional full-time officers. Asked about lost money and morale, Chief Ballantine commented, "It's absolutely a huge concern."

The juxtaposition of the Times' two news items point to the tremendous difficulties involved in solving missing person cases.

About 200,000 American citizens go missing every year. Some run away, some lose their way, some are taken away. Most are quickly found. But many people who disappear -- especially young adults -- are never recovered, mainly due to inefficient and ineffective law enforcement.

Family and friends of the missing face three major obstacles.

Problem #1: It's not a crime to go missing. People aren't obligated to be where others expect them to be. Overworked, understaffed police departments have their hands full with crimes, so unless the missing person is a small child or there are obvious signs of foul play, a reported disappearance will not be a priority.

Problem #2: Poorly trained police mishandle missing person cases in the critical first 24 hours of the investigation. Authorities often don't do an aggressive follow-up.

Problem #3: Information about people who've vanished is not sent to the appropriate central data bases, or never sent at all. Even when records and reports are properly placed into the computers run by the Justice Department's National Crime Information Center, it's often a meaningless gesture. The system is terribly outdated and practically useless to busy detectives.

The solution -- at least part of it -- is for people to communicate their concerns to police, politicians and the press. It would also be helpful if responsible citizens donated their attention, time and money to a local or national missing persons foundation.

"I want my son back, he's a good kid. I love him dearly. We just want him back and we want some help."
-- Allan Radel

Making A Connection

Where is Scot Radel?

February 6, 2006

The last contact Scot Baek Radel made with his roommates was by cell phone, on Thursday, February 2 at around at 11:30 PM. He's been missing ever since. The 21-year-old St. Cloud State University junior is described as a Korean male, 5-foot-5, 145 pounds with brown hair.

While most of the students counted among the Midwest missing/drowned cases have been White males, the developing mystery of Scot Radel is strikingly similar to their stories in other ways. For one thing, the noted high school wrestler was not the type of person to wander off alone. Danielle Saufferer, Scot Radel's girlfriend said, "He always called when he said he was going to call. He always told everybody where he was going and he was always with his friends."

St. Cloud police say searchers found several shoe prints along the frozen Mississippi River that may have belonged to Scot.

Minnesota's WCCO-TV News is reporting the following:

Radel was supposed to meet his roommates at the Press Bar and was asking them for directions, police said. Radel told his roommates he had left McRudy's Bar and Pub and could see the Paramount sign and a bank from where he was standing at the time of the call.

Roommates said after a few phone calls back and forth, his phone went dead, and he is not believed to have contacted anyone since.

Allan Radel, Scot's dad said, "There were three phone calls back and forth, but Scot seemed to be disoriented and going the wrong way and he didn't make a connection."

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY?

January 12, 2006

Rumors are flying all over La Crosse about a University of Wisconsin student who says he had a near-death experience in the river. In a most remarkable story, the as of yet unidentified man claims he was drinking with friends in a downtown bar until about 1:45 AM on Sunday, January 8 -- but then somehow ended up in the middle of the Mississippi.

He doesn't know how he got in the water, but he knows how he got out.

According to an article in the La Crosse Tribune, the student "found himself in the river, fighting a strong current that was rapidly carrying him downstream. After an estimated 15 minutes, he was able to grab onto a tall concrete structure and pull himself to shore, where he likely passed out . . ."

Around 7:00 AM that morning, the 21-year-old showed up at a nearby hospital. Confused, covered in mud, and missing his shirt and shoes, he was unable to provide any details of what had happened to him.

Apparently no one witnessed the incident or any of the events that led up to it.

If true, the student's bizarre experience may provide investigators with valuable information and insights into the drowned student phenomenon. Over a seven-year period, seven young men from La Crosse went missing and were subsequently found dead in area rivers.

The Tribune quotes police chief Ed Kondracki as being "relieved and pleased to know the man survived, but disappointed to hear another intoxicated young man had fallen into the river."

Not so fast, Chief.

No one should be relieved or pleased about this story. How do we know the man FELL into the river? Maybe he did, but then, why can't he recall where, when or how? Something doesn't add up here. Was he, in fact, ALONE the entire time?

Chief Kondracki may be relieved, but I'm unnerved to hear that -- as in so many of these mysterious cases -- this student had somehow become separated from his hat, coat, shoes and cell phone.

It Happened Again

October 16, 2005

On the evening of Friday, October 7, Albert Campbell was laughing and talking with friends over drinks at the "Cactus Grill Cantina Restaurant" in Potsdam, N.Y. Around 9:00, he decided to walk home. That was the last time anyone saw Albert Campbell alive.

The 22-year-old Clarkson University grad student vanished into thin air. All anybody could determine was that he never made it home -- which was odd since his apartment was only a block away. Scores of people searched the Clarkson campus, downtown Potsdam and other areas of St. Lawrence County with no success.

Then on Sunday morning, Albert Campbell's body was recovered about a mile from the Cactus Grill. His remains were pulled from the Raquette River.

Authorities determined Campbell's death was an accident but police say they're unsure how he found his way into the river. "Alcohol seems to have played a significant factor," Chief John Kaplan said.

Albert Campbell

News of Campbell's death alarmed many Clarkson students, area residents and police. It wasn't just word that the mysteriously missing student was found dead in a river, but the fact that an almost identical incident had made local headlines last year.

Speaking to reporters, Police Chief Alan Mulkin of neighboring Canton, N.Y. remarked, "Myself and one other officer from my department came over to assist on this case. The case clearly has similarities to the case involving Adam Falcon which occurred back in November of last year."

On the evening of Friday, November 12, 2004, Adam Falcon was laughing and talking with friends over drinks at the "Tick Tock Inn" in Canton. He went missing and his whereabouts were unknown until six days later when the 20-year-old St. Lawrence University student was located in the Grasse River.

"I thought back to the other guy that drowned from SLU," one Clarkson student told reporters. "I just kept thinking, oh my-gosh, it happened again."

Some members of Albert Campbell's family say they find it hard to believe he would just walk into the river. In the total absence of any other information, it's impossible to know what happened. The confusion of not knowing can only add to the family's heartache.

The warmest of wishes and deepest of sympathies go out to the family and friends of Albert Campbell.

PHI STIGMA

two alcohol-related deaths linked
to Phi Sigma Kappa frat house - 2005

Students Behind Bars

On October 9, 2005, seven Phi Sigma Kappa members were arrested in the death of Patrick Kycia. Moorhead police said the students face various charges including selling liquor to a minor resulting in death, selling alcohol without a license and procuring alcohol to a person under 21 years old.

Kycia had a blood-alcohol level of .17 at the time of his death, more than twice the legal limit for driving in Minnesota. Although at least one fraternity member admitted to selling beer at the party, the fraternity still officially claims that none of its members served Kycia any drugs or alcohol.

The cause of Patrick Kycia's death has been listed as "freshwater drowning."

SEPTEMBER 28, 2005

You hope that somehow, there's been a terrible mistake.

Maybe the missing student had too much to drink and stopped at a friend's house to sleep it off. Maybe he got disoriented and fell asleep after wandering down a side street. Maybe he decided to go on a last-minute road trip out of town and doesn't realize his family and friends are desperately trying to find him. Maybe he's alive somewhere.

You hope -- against all hope -- that things aren't what they seem to be. And then, word comes that the student has been found dead in the river.

Body found in search
believed to be missing student

Associated Press
Tuesday, September 27, 2005

MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) - A body found Tuesday in the Red River was that of a missing Minnesota State University Moorhead student, the student's mother confirmed.

Patrick Kycia, 19, of Stillwater, had been seen last in the early morning hours on Friday at a fraternity party.

There were no obvious signs of trauma, police Lt. Bob Larson said.

Needless to say, Patrick Kycia's parents are desperate for answers. "We still don't know how he got there," said Kycia's mother, Rose Foley. "But we found him. That was our goal. For that, I'm grateful."

The basic facts of this case are no different than the many, many other missing/drowned student cases -- and no less perplexing.

Kycia's body was discovered by a search and dive team near a wooded area where one of his shoes was found a day earlier. The spot was about two miles from where his wallet had been previously found.

Kycia's body showed no obvious signs of physical trauma.

Witnesses expressed disbelief about the death, saying the night he went missing, Kycia had been drinking, "but could still walk a straight line."

Kycia was well-liked, well-adjusted, and had a 3.65 grade-point average.

"He had paid his next two months' rent in advance, was excited about his classes and his job, really was looking forward to a great year," said Patrick's father, Julian Kycia.

"At this point, I'm not going to rest until I can find out what happened."

I understand that he probably got very drunk. I understand he was likely weaving along the streets walking towards home. I understand after ending up down by the river that he fell in and was unable to save himself. What I don't understand is -- how he got there.

Minnesota Mystery

Monday, September 26, 2005

While officials comb the Red River, Moorhead police continue to search for Patrick Kycia, a Minnesota State University student who has been missing since early Friday morning -- September 23.

Patrick Thomas Kycia (KYE'-shuh), 19, was last seen at a Phi Sigma Kappa party about eight blocks from the house he rents with three other students.

At 3:52 AM, roommate Travis Fanum received a call on his cell phone from Kycia’s cell phone. Kycia said nothing during the 15-second call. His wallet, with cash and bank cards still in it, was found about three blocks south of the frat house at 611 10th Street.

Kycia's father, Julian Kycia, said the disappearance was out of character. "He doesn't miss classes, and he doesn't miss work," he said.

Kycia is about 6-feet, 1-inch tall, weighing about 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray MSU sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The FBI has joined the search.

Finding Josh Snell

June, 2005
Searching for Answers

Two shirts. That's all that was left of Joshua Snell.

The 22-year-old had been missing since early Sunday morning, June 12. On Monday, searchers looked everywhere and checked with everyone, but all that was left of Joshua were two of his shirts -- found along the bank of the Chippewa River.

After Tuesday's searches failed, people began to fear the worst. It wasn't like Josh to disappear.

When last seen, Joshua Snell -- 5 feet 10 inches tall, 165 pounds -- was wearing a tan, plaid, long-sleeved, button-down shirt and khaki pants. He was playing pool and drinking beer at "Brothers Tavern" in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

According to Matthew Starland and other acquaintances, Josh planned to visit a female friend after leaving the bar. Around 2 AM, Josh called the woman from his cell phone and told her he would soon be arriving at her home.

"He never showed up," said Starland -- one of Josh's friends who quickly realized something was terribly wrong and notified authorities of his disappearance the next day at 5 PM.

Four days later, on Wednesday evening, Joshua Snell's body was discovered in the Chippewa River, lodged among downed trees located less than two miles from "Brothers Tavern."

Preliminary autopsy results from the Eau Claire County medical examiner's office indicate the cause of Joshua Snell's death was drowning. The cause of his disappearance remains a mystery.

Suicide seems highly unlikely. Those who knew him describe Josh as a stable and "giving person" with "strong religious convictions." Family friend, Jesse Gamble said, "He was certainly looking forward to the rest of his life. He was a happy person."

Investigators say there are No Signs of Foul Play.

Eau Claire Police Lieutenant John Arnette believes Joshua drunkenly wandered down into the river, lost his way in the water, and then died. According to him, these drunken drownings happen in the area once or twice a year.

"It's pretty dark at nighttime. They can get confused, disoriented," Arnette explained to reporters. "They get in the water and they might think they are coming back to shore when in reality they are moving to the middle."

Speaking of reality . . . people don't just "get in the water" at 2 in the morning. Josh lived in Hastings, Minnesota, but was very familiar with Eau Claire having attended Immanuel Lutheran College. He'd gone back that weekend to celebrate a friend's wedding -- not to kill himself .

In reality, witnesses say Josh was not extremely intoxicated, and certainly not so drunk and confused he wouldn't know the difference between land and water. He had spoken with a friend on the phone just prior to vanishing.

Strange accidents do happen, and perhaps Joshua Snell -- strangely, accidentally -- drowned himself. But, there are at least two very real signs of foul play here: the two shirts Josh left in Owen Park along the west bank of the Chippewa.

Craig Burrows went missing in September 2002 in Eau Claire. A week later, he was found dead in Half Moon Lake.

University of Wisconsin student, Michael Noll disappeared November 6, 2002 after leaving a bar. In August, the 22-year-old's body was discovered in Half Moon Lake.

On the Edge

Josh Snell is one of several young men who, in the last year, have disappeared and drowned under -- arguably -- suspicious circumstances. Although these cases don't fit this website's general profile of the typical "Midwest missing student" deaths, it's worth noting that in the 2004 - 2005 school year, 5 or more college-aged men have gone missing only to later turn up in local waterways.

Patrick M. Welsh, 22, York College of PA student who disappeared in April 2005 during a visit to New York City and was found in the Hudson River in early June.

University of Maryland student, Arvin Sharma, last seen early Saturday April 16, 2005 at a nightclub. The family voiced suspicions when, weeks later, Arvin's remains were located in the Anacostia River.

Christopher S. Thiem, 19, was spotted by a policeman near a railroad bridge in Vincennes, Indiana on January 12, 2005. He was apparently the last person to see Christopher alive after he'd left a campus party. He vanished and his whereabouts were unknown until April, when workers planting trees discovered the body of the Vincennes University student.

The Carmi Times reported:

"An officer pursued Thiem on foot through some yards and a field to a railroad trestle across the Wabash River, which Thiem began to walk across ... [a witness] recalled that the Wabash River was at one of its highest levels ever recorded in January and surmised that the backwater washed Thiem's body onto the farm field, where it remained after the water receded."

Await The Timing InGrace

By Sananda Immanuel and Candace Frieze
#61 August 6, 2006

Sananda: Dearly Beloveds, the time does fly as your saying goes. We are into August now, and many of you are having your doubts as to our existence and our programs. I ask that you go within and remain in faith. I do hear many of you and I do know you have financial problems that need abating. Understand that this is the case of the entire planet and not just you. You have one advantage, or disadvantage as you may see it, in that you have a different knowledge than others.

But many do know it is the time of the Second Coming, including those awaiting a rapture that will not happen, as they have been lead to believe. We have chided some recently, the chaos was necessary to be created in your groups, who still tend to follow and not lead. There is still the choosing to follow one telepath or the other, and you must come away from the following and become the doers; the leaders.

You have been encouraged to create missions and many of you are still not considering the messiah idea, because of the belief systems on the planet that create a single messiah. The new age saying going about is “we are the ones we have been waiting for.” And it was never truer than at this time. During the waiting, you must be about creating, and not giving time and energy to false prophets. It is time to stop reading from one website and channeling to another, and start thy works. There are only around 80 missions on AbundantHope right now, and I am proud of the 80 of such great courage.

But there are apparently 800 readers who are merely reading. I realize many of you already have missions, and many may not want to bring theirs under AbundantHope, and this is your choice. But I am also aware that about 80% of all that read the various messages circulating, no matter the channel, are not creating any sort of vision in the helping of the Earth. I also know that many of you are awaiting NESARA for the solving of personal problems, and the desire for wealth.

The wealth within the united States will be beyond description. You will not be able to spend it all on self and your family will not need it, since they will have extreme wealth. You must get good at check writing, if nothing else and do an honest search for those you might wish to support.

I am asking all to live a messianic life, a life of purity and service to others. There will be much chaos in the united States, even with the funds released and the education with that. The funds I am talking of, is the “rebate program” of $10 million per adult in the USA, at @$75,000 a month, which after the decimal point is moved, in the restructuring, will be the equivalent of 10X that amount. There is no way to spend it all on a fancy retirement.

As we mentioned in earlier works, you are encouraged to do your messianic work in the places of your employment, that many of you will remain in. You must improve the companies from within and many of you will have greater opportunity to do this, because the dark side owners of these companies will be vacating the planet, in larger numbers over the next 6 months, and some sooner than that. This will leave open an opportunity to climb the ladder. There may be chaos in this as those not very lighted yet, may make claims to power, and you must stake also your rightful claim.

I encourage the reading of the recent Monjoronson works through the TM Urantia groups. (Candace note: I will get these into the main area on the forum, and onto the main site also, there are three at this time. Someone posted the links to them on DA). You must discuss these. One in particular paints what seems a negative scene to come. And it is true and you must study it. Friends, do not be so put back by the idea of depopulation presented in them, because you all know, I hope, at this point that many can’t ascend with the Earth. They must move on, and they move on by depopulation in various ways, and I leave the teaching around that in Candace’s capable hands; she has been prepared for much. You can teach yourselves.

I know you all love the channelings, but it is ONCE AGAIN time to get into the works or at least dreams of such. Without the initial dreaming you can’t manifest. You must start writing the dreams, so that the universe can aid you in the manifestation. There is not only the money coming to fund any dreams, but also you need the Universe, your guides, angels and beloveds on the other side, to help you run into people and opportunity around your dreams. Surely you are aware that the Universe supplies everything you sincerely request, and it is up to you to recognize the help that shows up when it does. This is the universal law of attraction, and I would encourage you to see “The Secret” The secret is the knowledge of attraction, like attracts like. Learn to “Knowing” of that and use it.

In the past, the dark side has kept this in many cases from working for some of you; there has been some interference. This is going away however, pretty shortly and if something doesn’t manifest to match your goals, then you did not ask correctly or you did not respond to that which was put before your very faces. You failed the opportunity, and this in many cases is because you didn’t really want that which you claimed you wanted. Many of you have had unmanifested dreams because you rejected the Universe’s help when it came. Don’t do that again.

The group that created The Secret, will have much more to offer, to assist those to learn. This film is excellent to get before the churches you belong to, the family you belong to, your workplace, and social groups also. That which is posited in The Secret, will become the reality of a God conscious planet, a 5D planet, and you need to begin to use this to manifest your desires. On a 5D planet, God never says no. But you must recognize that God, is the universe, and not just a “person” who rules with an iron club. This is not God.

You, long before the days of monopolarity, will manifest your dreams, using The Secret. Some of you will become more and more skilled in instant manifestation, which means basically replicating that which you need. Wander into an area without some money, and pull it out of your pocket and hand it over. Wander into a place without food, and multiply what is there, as was done in the bible story of feeding thousands.

This was simple replication, and many of you will remember it, because you know it from whence you came, before you started your journey on Earth. There is new age nonsense going around that everyone will do this the minute ascension occurs. NO, it is a learned skill. And some of you do not know how yet. This will be taught in mystery schools. Those who loved “Bewitched” know that you might be one capable of this, otherwise “Bewitched” would not have grabbed you so.

Might you start practicing and create your abundance in this manner? You alone know if you have some of these skills in your memory banks of your higher self. Might you ask the Universe to help you remember? The ascension into 5D, monopolarity, will not in and of itself restore all your memory. And it is many years off yet. Restoring your memory is your chore and the universe will aid you in that. Restoring your memory means fully widening the channel between your body proper and your higher self, so that the information might flow, and this requires your continuing dedication to the concept of service to others, living a lighted, messianic life.

There are 200 million star incarnates and about 5 million reasonably mature earth souls incarnate right now. Can you imagine what might be accomplished if each and every one of you remembered who you are? Not the multiple lifetimes on Earth, but who you really are? Your greatest fear in not leading a messianic life comes from your fear, of who you really are.

Update time, I assume you are really reading this for an update. So I shall spend a bit of time, here at the end to do so. God willing, great things will happen this month. I know you are tired of the same old song, but friends, get the email going, now in massive numbers, daily to those that do the news and represent you, any where on the planet, but particularly the USA. Have you observed from news on the Internet and the tel e vision occasionally, that the wonderful people of Mexico have come out to protest, repeatedly the stolen elections? Where is America still on that issue alone? And about 60% support Israel, for shame.

The Second Coming process started officially on July 29th. July 28th was the last day of the dark side allowance for them to make a decision for the light and many failed to do of this. At 12 midnight on the international dateline, I became Planetary Prince of Urantia. Basically, I know call many shots, in your terminology. Descending Sons (angelics) holding this position do not openingly walk a planet in a body. They are invisible to most, except those with discerning eyes. As an Ascending Son, I will walk the planet; that is what is truly needed in this changeover. I will be going to Jerusalem to handle problems as soon as possible to do so. I am on the ground some days in Lebanon, as you have been previously informed.

Your news is not the truth of activity there, and Israel is not doing what they planned. Had the plan worked of theirs they would be finished and gone, in about a week’s time. They did not win, in that hospital Ba’albek, or in that region. They were sent packing. They had moved into there, during the supposed 48 hours of resting from air activity. We are behind the idea of Tel Aviv being attacked, and if this becomes the reality of us needing to do what we promised we shall indeed do it. This is a threat that is hoped will cause Israel to regain its senses. Meanwhile, many citizens of Israel are tiring of the war and putting pressure on their government to stop.

If we assist in Tel Aviv, it will be done discreetly and with great care to prevent loss of life to civilians. But Israel will rue the day; they did not listen. It is necessary to the Christian support for this horrid war to do something of this nature. Israel will back down and retreat and pay for the mess, or Tel Aviv will have to be largely rebuilt. Read my lips on this, the dark side.

“President” Bush, the real Bush Jr. did indeed step down last summer. He himself did not get in the way of the Leo Wanta repatriation of funds. Daddy Bush did. The clone is not responsible, but the clone did interfere, because it is under control of Daddy. The clone will be disabled when the timing is right. The real Bush Jr. has returned to light consciousness, and never did relish what Daddy created for him. He harmed his brain and thought ability will drugs and alcohol in order to deal with Daddy. This is why Daddy had to created several clones to do the deeds. He has shed huge tears from his compliance with Daddy, which was at times willing, and at other times not. He did revel in being a “war president.” He is basically not really intelligent, and did not have the power to just say no, until we offered him a way out of the mess.

I wish I could say the same for Cheney. He has been also in custody, taken into custody last summer, with clone in place, and the real Cheney is still uncooperative. So Be It because Friday, July 28, was his final day to choose the light.

We are not seriously harmed by the Leo Wanta issue of the repatriation of monies, simply delayed a short time. This will be handled when the new President signs on to the throne of America for a time.

The Second Coming event of Christ Michael will be about two weeks after the new President is seated in America and we have some time to teach a bit. There will be a final cleansing of astral realms, and during this time, some very dark ones will make their exit from Earth. The various masters will afterwards, be manifesting physically according to their individual planning on the Earth plane. We have discussed before that these include Mohammed for Islam, and Maitreya for Buddhism. Also the one called Lord Krishna shall walk earth, and many others.

The depopulation will begin occurring, starting during the Second Coming event, and over 6 months following for the very dark. Mostly they will not survive in the light of truth, and in the higher vibration. Many will pass this plane; others may be indicted and jailed. Monjoronson’s team is now operating his courts on another realm, and there will be courts in this one also. The Second Coming event should raise the vibration of Gaia from 4.52 now up to about 4.7.

We but still await the proper timing and we will not release at this time through any of our dedicated and lighted channels any dates of actual events. This is in part for security, and in part, because things are still “fluid.” As with my message through Lauren yesterday, if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. There will be “heat” chaos. You are asked to remain centered. You are asked to continue to teach and confront.

You are asked, even though email is often deleted to use it at this time anyway, for the seed planting. It is my understanding that an individual on DA has completed an email list that should be easy to use. If it doesn’t work in your system as set up, take the time to hand copy the addresses into your address book, and do daily group emailing and state your stand. In the doing of this, you assist our cause, and you put into the planetary consciousness your support of Gaia and change. (Candace note, the list on DA froze my computer, so I will be hand copying into my address book. I do have an older system. I will hand copy, for times sake, those that seem most important in that long list and post them on the forum; that should keep me quite busy today alone)

Go about daily business and begin a notebook of messianic ideas, and send your list to the universe. Candace has decided she is going to close the forum to readers shortly, and only those with messianic mission statements will be allowed its use. I support this. She is not required to entertain those that merely read, and her purpose is to create many messiahs. She desires that you who do chose to be part of AbundantHope have a place of privacy to discuss problems and find each other to create together where needed and necessary. So Be It.

I am looking to buy a small university in Denver, called Loretta Heights. It is an old Catholic school, run at one time by the Sisters of Loretta. I will create there, an International curriculum. I thank greatly, one Michael for his assistance in this endeavor, and for his management to come in this project. To the dark side reading of this, this property is under Galactic Federation Guard service protection, at this time, so hands off. Any shenanigans will be duly rewarded unto you, in Monjoronson’s courts. The existing students and personnel are closely protected, in addition to the grounds. And Michael is protected also, so I suggest leaving him alone.

I remind all, that my International Headquarters will be in the Metro area of Denver, and shared with AbundantHope. We will have an intentional residential community on the acreage for those involved in the International works. There will also be many Sananda Centers about the planet for healing, and education locally. These groups may find like mind and sharing.

It is fortunate that this university in Denver is available, it makes the creation of my goals for the planet easier, and we will get started sooner with the education part of my mission. We will bring gifted minds from the planet to this place, for a variety of teachings. The school currently offers an International Business program and this will be modified greatly, to teach ones the business of doing business without money. Remember that the vast releases of money coming to the planet over the next year or so are merely to show you do not need money. When everyone is wealthy, none can hold power over another, through the use of money.

Star people will be enforcing peace. There will be exactly zero tolerance for revolutions backed by arms. There will be no further invasions of another’s lands. This is what is behind the story of a 1000-year peace upon the planet. Those that entertain this idea will find their instant karma in Monjoronson’s courts and be removed from the planet.

In time, there will be no more borders. There will be no separate countries, but only states of peoples. In time, you will elect a world leader, who will be a true representative of the people. Don’t confuse this world leader to come with myself. I am a Universe of Nebadon Lord, as Planetary Prince, and my allegiance is to Nebadon in this sense. You will yourselves place into power those of your choosing, by a fair process, and also remove those that violate their oath of office, as seen in their works. Those that violate the oath and their stated goals should be imprisoned for treason. This applies not only to presidents, but also to the lowliest in local affairs. And you will learn swift judgment of these and not allow them to drag out cases for many years.

You will learn also swift judgment of those that deal drugs, without a license. The solution to the drug problem for a time would be to make illegal drugs legal, because one does have their free will use of them. Making them legal takes away the crime that occurs in the illegal drug trade market. The CIA will shortly be out of the drug business in America. They will be affordable. In time you will not the sale of these drugs, because most will choose the higher cause and reject buying them, putting the retailers out of business.

It is still most important to teach the dangers behind the use of all of this. There are certain substances that are useful to access higher states, under careful observation of others who can assist the one using, if trouble occurs. There are also substances that allow the astral body to travel, and these must be used only by those that can assist an astral journey with another. These should not be available “over the counter.” All in good time.

But I continue to stress, right now, it is your works that count for you. It is the works that are needed to heal a sick planet. There will be depopulation in steps; the planet can’t continue the way it is. You all know that, so come off your shock at the idea. Under your current technology, you can’t continue with this population explosion live in any sort of true abundance for all, with your current technologies. It is time to finally rest my peace in this message and get on with the day. Namaste, I AM Sananda Immanuel Esu Kumara, Planetary Prince of Urantia, and a Lord of Nebadon as such. Be in peace, beloveds, and await the timing in grace.

Lieberman makes final pitch to voters as Connecticut polls open

HARTFORD, Conn. --Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman, locked in a battle with a political novice fueled anti-war sentiment, crisscrossed the state in a final attempt keep his Senate seat and reassure voters going to the polls Tuesday in Connecticut's primary election.

TGIT!

Looking forward to the Lamont/Lickerman show. Hope Lamont nails the buttkisser in the polls!

In other news from Thinkprogress:

What friends are for: Majority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) reportedly met with Rep. Bob Ney (R-OH) last week to “urge him to step aside, reminding him that” if he lost his seat, “Ney could not expect a lucrative career on K Street to pay those tuition bills [for his children], along with the hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees piling up.”

And:

Congress is all in the family. USA Today finds that there are 53 U.S. senators and representatives closely related to governors or other members of Congress, up from 24 in 1986.

George Bush, the lame duck of destruction

From MilitaryWeek.com:

The evangelical in the White House crossed a milestone this week.

For the rest of the world, this milestone passes largely unnoticed in the midst of Middle East fear, death, and destruction in Iraq, in Gaza and the occupied territories, and now in Lebanon. Specifically taking a back seat to the Israeli-Hezbollah war is the ongoing and tragic status of American-occupied Iraq.

But in Washington, history was made when George W. Bush finally, and for the first time, used his presidential veto power to reject a piece of legislation from his loyal Congress.

The veto, as Bush explained in a public ceremony framed by chattering toddlers, was done to prevent American taxpayers from being “… compelled to fund the deliberate destruction of human embryos.'

He went on, “Crossing this line would be a grave mistake and would needlessly encourage a conflict between science and ethics that can only do damage to both and harm our Nation as a whole.'

Science and ethics are two areas where George W. Bush cannot be accused of knowing too much, thinking too deeply, nor retaining even a shadow of personal humility....

Quack, quack!

Clinton aide case witness sues FBI
By Ambrose Evans-Pritchard in Washington
9 Nov. 1996
A KEY witness in the investigation of the death of the White House aide, Vincent Foster, has filed a federal lawsuit accusing the US government of a conspiracy to
obstruct justice and of a violation of his civil rights.
Patrick Knowlton, has named two FBI agents as defendants, alleging that they were part of an orchestrated scheme of intimidation.
Knowlton, the first witness to iscover Vincent Foster's car at the crime scene on the afternoon of Foster's mysterious death, says that he was the victim of intense harassment in October 1995 after he accused the FBI, in an interview with The Telegraph, of falsifying his witness statements.
The intimidation, he claims, nvolved threatening gestures by a surveillance network of more than 20
people. It began, he says, on the ay he received a subpoena to appear before the Federal Grand Jury to
answer questions about the Foster case. The lawsuit alleges that the threats were intended to discourage him from telling the truth in his appearance before the Grand Jury and at the same time to discredit him.
"I never believed that anything like this could happen in the United States," said Knowlton, 41, a businessman in Washington DC. "They've turned my life upside-down
and I'm not going to let them get away with it."
He was interviewed by the FBI in 1994 during the investigation of Robert Fiske. The Fiske Report
concluded that Foster committed suicide for personal reasons. Knowlton claims that the report falsified his testimony and that of other crime scene witnesses.

Joe and Gerbil Lieberman, or Joe and Dumbya Bush, or Joe Lieberman Gerbil or Gerbil Bush Lieberman? And where was the Uncle Ben's rice? And the real question is where are they going on their honeymoon: Hyatt Regency in Washington, or Westin, Super 8, Motel 6, or headed to Vegas to stay at some dive off the strip (so the lovebird won't be followed) where the buffet is all you can eat for 2 bucks? And who will carry whom over the theshold? LOL! LMAO!

The buffoon Lieberman is scared to death of the bloggers. When Lieberman decided to run again, he sadi that he didn't believe in the opinions of the bloggers. In his mind, he has been voted in by the Connecticut voters for so long and felt that he will get re-elected again. And his campaign has been running on the GOP Koolaid strategy. And his biggest downfall was putting down the bloggers and that infamous kiss and getting in bed with the GOPs and the Gerbil. And the bloggers and the youth have heavily promoted Lamont which came back and bit him in the ass big time. And for Lieberman to attack Jane from FDL like he did, it only added fuel to the fire with FDL, Michael Moore, America Blog, and others to turn on the buttkisser.. And I hope the voters will send a strong clear message to the buttkisser at the polls and send him packing. If the Californians can make the Gropinator look like a total pompous ass in that special elections so can Connecticut!

This was not the first time that the site was attacked. Earlier, a hacker "got through one of the functions on the site," Geary said. The hacker then did a "SQL injection," ultimately replacing the index page. The front page of the site then read "We ownz you site." It was signed "thhacker."
But yesterday's and today's was a different kind of attack. Whoever the hacker is "saved the best until the last day," Geary said.

Update: Lieberman campaign spokesman Dan Gerstein says that the campaign has filed a complaint with Connecticut's Attorney General and Chief State's Attorney, and the United States Attorney's Office.

Rodger, my cousin died because of my involvement in a mafia dominated industry. His name is Ryan Katcher. His death or dissappearance came at a time when I was beginning to have success at driving the fear of God into these corrupt corporations that sell their goods to our government at 300 percent mark up, all at tax payer's expense. My Uncle has fought them, and I carried on fighting them. Unfortunateley, they walk hand in hand with FBI agents and policemen and such. My Uncle was a state vendor and joined a purchasing group at a local hospital with good will of trying to lower the inflated prices of these gases and certain medical supplies. He did this in hopes to save our healthcare system, and not overburden taxpayers because those in power only have greed in their hearts. Before Nov. 2000 I was searching for investors and releasing my business plan that would put a finale to the mafia and democrats reign of terror in the midwest. At the time I wasn't completeley aware of my enemy, and my Uncle was harassed and tormented by the feds and local law enforcement officials paid off by the mafia. His hell lasted for years, all because he turned down a handful of gold rings and told the head of purchasing at the local hospital to shove it. Nothing, not gold rings, jewelry, money, or power would entice my Uncle to let the people down. Til' this day there are people in hospitals that see this activity and worse in purchasing departments. Ryan Katcher's mother also happend to work at a hospital. But what I did was the worst for the mafia and demacrat/republican alike in the midwest, I not only wanted to lower the prices on medical oxygen, and free up tax payer money for other necessities that are purchased by state gov't subsidized hospitals, I was standing up to the Daley regime, opposing his plans for a larger O'hare airport by enticing airlines with low spec gas prices. I did all that at the tender age of 27. Ryan Katcher's murder, and the murder of some of the other young men listed, was political/mafia statement. My family fought for the good of the people too far, and they use murder of a relative as if to say "You are next." I would not stop speaking up, speaking out, and now I am a prisoner of my good deeds to the common person. They (the italian mafia family in power, Daley's cronies, George Ryan's fuckheads) sent the Latin Kings after me. They think they have me down, but they don't because I have one tidbit of information that if I wasn't cut out of the investigation by Fitz -it goes all the way to Bush Inc. And it would set Bush and Cheney on a long ride down the river. America hasn't been a democracy since I was born, anyway. What is up with that ascending prince of neptune? Sounds like Dannion Brinckley. take care rodger

On June 24 Israeli soldiers kidnapped a Palestinian doctor and his brother in Gaza and removed them to some unspecified detention facility. This would not be a particularly noteworthy event, except for the fact that on the following day militants in Gaza—perhaps in retaliation—kidnapped an Israeli soldier.

Israel responded with dramatically intensified attacks on Gaza. --snip

--snip
Then, on July 12, Hezbollah—a political and military Shia Muslim organization based in Lebanon—captured two Israeli soldiers and killed six others. According to the official Israeli version of the story, this occurred during a cross-border raid by Hezbollah into northern Israel. However, early press accounts said that Israel had sent a commando force into southern Lebanon; these commandoes, operating near the village of Aitaa al-Chaab inside Lebanon’s southern territory, were then allegedly engaged by Hezbollah fighters, who struck an Israeli tank.

In either case, over the next days and weeks Hezbollah fired hundreds of rockets into Israel, killing dozens and wounding many more, while Israel bombed southern Lebanon, using (according to some reports) chemical weapons and cluster bombs, killing hundreds and destroying roads, bridges, power stations, and other civilian infrastructure.--snip

Anyone listening to that video should ask themselves how many times have they seen the above versions of the story? I've now seen it twice on different sites. And Israel supposedly flooded the internet looking to promote themselves of how many pro-Israel versions?

Another thing, if a rocket is fired..might there be a crater instead of a burned patch of grass in a picture? Look closely at some of the pictures. What parents allows their children out to sign bombs when rockets are being fired overhead at them? Would you? Illusions.

Perhaps both sides should start speaking to each other for peace.

Christie @ Firedoglake seems to have the answer as to WHY Lieberman's website CRASHED. Lieberman has stated he does NOT believe Lamont's people hacked his site:

From Kos: Kos says:

[I] have the definitive answer as to why Lieberman’s site went down.

They are paying $15/month for hosting at a place called MyHostCamp, with a bandwidth limit of 10GB. MyHostCamp is currently down, along with all their clients.

From Christie @ FDL:

Here’s the deal — you get what you pay for. My hosting bill is now over $7K per month. A smaller site doesn’t need that much bandwidth, but if you’re paying $15 because your $12 million campaign is too freakin’ cheap to pay for quality hosting, then don’t go blaming your opponent when your shitty service goes out.

Folks,

An update on the Lieberman saga:

Lieberman Campaign Admits No Lamont Involvement in Alleged Hacking

Greg over at Election Central:
I just got off the phone with top Joe Lieberman adviser Dan Gerstein, and he acknowledged to me that the Lieberman camp doesn't have any evidence that the Lamont campaign -- or Lamont supporters -- are behind the hack attack on the Lieberman campaign web site.
Asked if the Lieberman campaign had any idea who might be behind the attacks, Gerstein said: "We don't."

I can, and I would collect statements just so I can prove what I've been dancing around! I just know THE BIG LIE and I want others to know. thank you rodger

To those watching Conn race-From Joe on CNN

Lieberman said he believes voters are coming back to him.

"I feel they were flirting with the other guy for a while, wanting to send me a message," he said Monday during a stop at a restaurant in Hartford. "I got their message. I think they want to send me back to Washington to continue working with them, fighting for them, and delivering for Connecticut.

If Lieberman believes that, then Kenneth Lay will catch a plane from the Cayman Islands, head to the U.S. and request to face his conviction in the Enron case. I'll believe that when the cows come home.

There must be something in air this week that is causing the GOP corrupted koolaid to fall apart.

Ney and the Hammer bail out from running for office and now Lickerman campaign (Lickerman is more GOP than Democrat) is playing the blame game against Lamont team in hacking into Lickerman's site. And found out later that it is untrue.

This is more like a circus show with a bunch of clowns!

And when Lickerman loses, he is getting what he paid for: cheap ass service to his website! His crybaby crapola about his website being hacked didn't surprised the blog sites or the bloggers. The media once again are lapdogs and a dollar short to the real story! Some of the media are so stupid that you can feed cat food to them and they would think it is tuna fish!

Yup, Lickerman is Democratic sheep in GOP wolf clothing! Sold himself to the corrupted GOP koolaids!

And Now from Muckraker:

Lieberman Consultant: We Pay "A Bit More" Than $15 a Month for Web Hosting
By Paul Kiel - August 8, 2006, 5:09 PM
So was the Lieberman campaign website actually hacked? Or are they just cheap?

Lieberman's internet consultant Dan Geary, who oversees Joe2006.com, says he's still sure that their site suffered a "malicious attack." But when pressed, he said that they weren't sure that it was a "Denial of Service" attack, as he'd said earlier. He didn't have any more information about the nature of the supposed attack. "I've spent 99% of my time speaking [to reporters] about the story," he said.

He also denied that the site was down because of their webhost. Over at DailyKos, Markos reported that the campaign has an agreement with a webhost service called MyHostCamp, for which the campaign pays $15/month. All MyHostCamp sites are down, Markos reported, seeming to indicate that the problem was not caused by a hacker but Lieberman's host company being unable to handle a surge in authentic traffic.

But Geary insisted that the host company was fine. "When we take the site down, the server is fine. . . [It's] not the hosting, it's not the bandwidth," he said. Geary said that all of his company's sites are on that server, and that it's owned by someone he works with "all the time."

He denied Markos' report that the campaign paid only $15 a month for service. They pay a "bit more," he said; he couldn't say precisely how much, but said he'd have that information if I called back later.

Geary admitted the campaign's technical staff wasn't prepared to deal with a malicious intruder. "We have nobody with a security background helping with this," Geary told me. "It's just us, what we know, how we work with our server network."

Earlier today, the Lamont campaign said in a statement, "If Senator Lieberman’s website was indeed hacked, we had absolutely no part in it, denounce the action, and urge whoever is responsible cease and desist immediately," and offered their technical expertise and support to get the Joe2006.com site back up.

Geary, who's based in Nevada, was unaware of the Lamont campaign's offer of assistance.

(OK - so they pay $19.95 maybe right??? What idiots...)

Basheert,

That tells you what a small mind Lickerman has. If you are campaigning for office, you get a much bigger hosting site that will provide a better server. But, that tells you how out of touch he is with the internet and the bloggers. And I believe that if/when Lamont wins, it is because of the bloggers and their backing. I hope that the bloggers continue this momenteum in the November election. They will be the deciders on who gets into office or who doesn't.

Browsing blogs gives an indication of an EXTREMELY high turnout at voting sites in CT.

CT has a majority of INDEPENDENTS registered altho news articles recently state that many many people have registered as DEMS and changed their party affiliation TO DEMS - 20-40,000 in the last few weeks.

Rock is meeting hard place.

Well that's good news. I know that Connecticut has a majority of Democrats there. And there is some people who are Independents who are switching to Democrats or voting for Lamont. So, the state have a couple of hours left before it closed. But, I just don't think this race will be close.. But, we will all hear the results later this evening!

I believe Lickerman is going to try and claim the hack should invalidate the election. We have a lot of family in CT and if he tries that, he will be a Sore Loserman twice. The people in CT are not going to put up with that kind of crap and if he thinks he can try, I'd love it see it. Although it will be a waste of time.

Implying that voters are stupid is not a good campaign tactic. He's toast...

HOROWITZ: No, no, it comes from the French Revolution. ...I think the Left is intellectually incoherent, and Marx was a crackpot. A very brilliant one, but very crackpot stuff. You may find that extreme but if you think hard and long enough you'll come to that conclusion. So, when you look at poverty, I just stumbled off the Thermstrom's book, America in Black and White. I came off a little statistic, let's see, "Poverty today is entirely caused by failure to work." It used to be jobs were too low-paying. You couldn't rise below the poverty line because there were just jobs that kept you below, then. Today, only 2.5% of black males who are fully employed are poor. That's an outstanding statistic. If you have a job, any job, and it's full-time, you will not be poor in America.
