Kenny Chesney & Mints For Dessert...

Bush and Howard: Best Mates
The White House dinner in honor of Australian Prime Minister John Howard found guests dining on squash soup; barramundi, a fish native to Australia (these, however, were farmed in Massachusetts); summer greens, and an Australian black pearl nougat glace (nougat ice cream with oranges). On a diplomatic note, the White House served a Greg Norman chardonnay from Santa Barbara.
Who's Hot, Who's Not - Guess Who Came to Dinner: The White House List sans* the Cheney's, Karl Rove, Scooter Libby...
I did not receive an Evite again and Condi went stag (look out Kenny!), but apparently I enjoyed a much nicer meal at Sushi Ko with colleagues Peter and Debra.

Yuck! I hope Australia is still part of the "coalition" after that meal! They should have gone with surf 'n turf with some shrimp on the barbie.

" Great... that is our tax payer's money that these people are chowing down on.. And certainly didn't invited me. I love food!!! My pretty pathetic steak and vegetable that I had last night is not a dent to what the WH had.. Chardonnay from Santa Barbara.. I had orange juice from my local grocery store in which was on sale!!! The Gerbil and company really have a lot of nerve flaunting the dinner menu when families cannot afford to at least eat!!! As far as Red Bull Cheney, Porkrind, and the little soldier not there.. Well there is a hint, two of them will be indicted and the other one is.. All of them probably hit KFC that night.. It was probably buy 8 piece chicken wings bucket and get one free... And shoe shopping night for Condi that night...

OK - I must say it (and apologies to all of you).
I ADORE barramundi and had no idea it was being ranched here in the States, since I've only eaten it in OZ.

I need to check with some friends to see how Howard is perceived down unda'

S-Q,

That's true.. But, then again, he doesn't care about any concerns of the American people. And you know why?? Because the Gerbil just can't think!!!

Rove to Rescue Phone Jamming GOPers
By Paul Kiel - May 17, 2006, 10:54 AM

"As reported in today's Washington Post, the New Hampshire Republican State Committee has been so financially drained by legal bills piling up from defending its phone jamming that they have only a total of $733.60 in their state and federal accounts. What to do?
Call Karl Rove. On June 12th, Rove will be the "special guest" at the NHRSC's annual dinner. For those in the area, it'll cost you $100 a head to get into the Radisson to hear the possibly-then-indicted-Rove. But if you want to get an especially good look, you'll have to pay $250.
Proceeds will go to a worthy cause: Devine Millimet & Branch, the law firm defending the NHRSC against the Democrats' ongoing lawsuit. The bill is $85,535 and climbing."

http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/

Are you going to tell the GOP, Patrick, that their buddy, Porkrind, will be indicted and his plans may change?.. You may want to notify the GOP to use that $100.00 for something else... Maybe for a donation to DOJ as a thank you for saying 'no' to graft campaign...

VIDEO: Alberto Gonzales Says His Grandparents May Have Been Illegal Immigrants

"Yesterday on CNN, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales admitted that he doesn’t know if his grandparents came from Mexico to the United States legally or illegally, but that his family’s story is the “American dream.”

The Gerbil really dropped the shoe in spearheading an immigration policy. Somebody forgot to look at Gonzo's background!!!

Off beat news:

For those who live or know someone in N.J.:

N.J. just says no to pumping gas

In New Jersey, motorists who need to fill 'er up haven't pumped their own gas in 57 years. But in the face of soaring gas prices, Gov. Jon Corzine came up with a novel plan last month to try to ease the pain: allow self-service at some stations along the New Jersey Turnpike and see if prices dip. He believed prices could drop 5 to 7 cents a gallon.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/usatoday/20060517/ts_usatoday/njjustsaysnotopumpinggas

And the residents are pretty ticked off...

2. Speaking of immigration policy. From CNN:

Convicts excluded from immigration plan

"The Senate voted Wednesday to exclude illegal immigrants convicted of a felony or three misdemeanors from a chance at remaining in the United States under what critics say is an amnesty program."

Let's see.. an illegal immigrant without a criminal record is shipped yet an illigal immigrant convicted stays... Makes sense?? Well, this is certainly a lesson in the GERBIL 101 textbook!

Correction to my posting at 11:44 am..I put Cheney's name in with Porky and the little soldier as not attending the event... I had typed too fast to edit.. But, then, who is to say Cheney joined the little soldier and Porkrinds after the festivities for a bucket of chicken...And I got to add a comments about Condi stagging in addition to her shoe shopping. She doesn't need a date.. She got the Gerbil... And the Gerbil got the bottle. And after several drinks of chardonnay by the Gerbil, he later had his late night catnip of his booze bottle near his nightstand...

Some blogger last night mention Jesse Jackson.. Well, Jackson is challenging the Gerbil on domestic spying:

Jesse Jackson | Time to Call Bush on Lawbreaking
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/051706J.shtml

"The Fourth Amendment of the Constitution protects the privacy and liberty of Americans. It says the government can't search or seize you without a warrant issued on probable cause to believe you are involved in a crime. This right," writes Jesse Jackson, "is the line between a democracy and a police state, where the state can search or seize at will. That is the line that the NSA program erased."
And he is right and it is nit right for the government to seize people's property illegally either..

Anon at 1:01 pm,

I did read about the amount of money Cheney and the Gerbil made. I know that the Gerbil is worth alot more than 20 million.. The Gerbil is not good investor if you saw his 2005 tax return and the amount of dividends that he made on investments. However, other money made by the Gerbil as you mention is not mention. Now, Cheney made a lot of his money from exercising his stock options from Halliburton in 2000. Thanks to manipulating and scheming to have a war in Iraq and Halliburton's not bid contracts, it sure made Tricky Dick's profits sky rocket... The Gerbil and Cheney has certainly sold and pimped America....

Folks!

Check this out! You got to see the photos on Raw Story of this vacation getaway and pool from the crooks's stay in Hookergate scandal.. Amazing... In fact, the whole DOJ office should be paid a round trip ticket from the government for a gateaway about the leak case is over for their hard work:

From the Raw Story:

ABC uncovers ex-CIA executive director's seven-bedroom, 12 guest Hawaiian hideaway

"Sources close to the widening probe of official corruption in Washington tell ABC News that investigators are studying travel records of expensive trips to Hawaii and Europe taken by top CIA official Dusty Foggo and San Diego defense contractor Brent Wilkes,"

Forgot the link:

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/ABC_uncovers_exCIA_executive_directors_12bedroom_0517.html

Final note: I went on the website of the vacation gateway. I take that back. None of the DOJ office isn't going on that trip and neither am I after looking at the cost! The vacation trip is cancelled and the DOJ office's budget can only afford Motel 6 and the use of the pool and free soap to wash with... Here is the details:

"7 Bedrooms total, 9.5 Baths total
Security Deposit $7,000.00 Departure Cleaning Fee $950.00"
You have to call for current rate + "11.41% tax".

http://www.trinityproperties.com/cgi-bin/PROPERTY.cgi/default.htm?view_records=1&NUMBER=104&PART=IP

Now, folks! I can't afford the security deposit or the cleaning fee!!! We would be living in the streets if we took that type of vacation! Man, what crooks!

My Husband also Italian, Family all still live in Italy Abruzzo area.

I have also got Rellies In Darwin but on the Aussie side

Born and Raised in Brisbane and would absolutely live nowhere else on earth, and I say that after travelling extensively through Italy Europe and America a couple of times can never wait to get home even though I enjoyed the travel,

I have got to say, I enjoyed your Country very much, but for me 6 weeks away from home is enough 3months to 6months away travelling is to long away from Brissie for me. I like my laid back life.

Got to say though, I absolutely loath Georgie and his Administration, could not believe an Illiterate Moron could possible be elected President, America being Leaders of the Free World, doesn't say much for the judgement of the majority of the American people.

All I can say is thank God for the rare ones like Fitz, who cant be bought.

Anonymous,
I can remember watching that election, every moment of it I sat through all the court decisions, I remember telling my Mother at age 92 we are looking at a really evil man, we will be at war within the year, because I knew that WANKER Howard would bow down to the villiage idiot,

I watched the House go to the republicans, I watched the Senate go to the Republicans, in 2002 and pulled my hair out thinking and raging, what is happening, can people really be taken in by this illiterate.

Then I watched as the 2004 Election was stolen again, 9pm kerry leading in all the polls coming out, and da dum minutes later Bush is in the lead, and steals another election with barely a raised voice of dissent.

That is the really scary thing to me, You had the worlds heart with you all Sept 9/11 and it was thrown away, in a matter of months from thisIlliterate Moron, You Are Either With Us Or Against Us, God I will never forget those word till I die, the rage was so all consuming.

Well this Psycho Lit his Fire and got his Holocaust, now the world has to deal with his and his administration little war games.

God Help us All

Peace

Hi guys. I am an Aussie who endorses the views of Kangaroo Brisbane Australia. The restaurants in Oz are awesome! Everyone is welcome, so come on down.

Ozzies have a good life and we are far away from everything so a lot of serious political debate passes us by (at least if our msm is any guide). We're a long way from Fox, but our people still haven't twigged that our soldiers were just political pawns in Afghanistan and Iraq. The reasons for our participation in Iraq are far from most people's minds and Bush is seen as a bumbling idiot rather than the avowed liar, traitor and war criminal that he is. Telling lies so that you can appropriate the organs of the state and use them to commit murder and enrich your mates should see you hanging from a gibbet in any decent society.

In the same way, our moronic leader, John Howard, should not be excused for his ringing endorsement of the murder of half a million innocent Iraqis, most of them children, by the use of economic sanctions. People were dying at the rate of 1,000 a week for ten years from starvation and water borne disease. Senior UN officials made plain about the carnage in Iraq early on, several resigned in disgust, and our PM would have known of those reports. He is in fact nothing more than a third rate lawyer with an extremely conservative and limited experience of life who believes he has the right to don a Napoleonic mantle and play God with the lives of innocents. He's an asshole.

Well, them's the positive views. Now let me tell you what I really think.....

I like Americans, but your political circumstances, parlous and difficult as they are, are about to go through the roof with an Iran attack. Let's hope some political sanity prevails.

Here are some links I enjoy that may inspire you. Best wishes to those who hate war and pursue peace. Cheers to all.

Wilkes is known not only in Hawaii but in Florida. This from Daniel Hopsicker on a Mexican 5.5 ton cocaine bust that opens up a can of nasty neocons and terrorists:

Makram Chams, a Lebanese national, helped Mohamed Atta and Marwan Al-Shehhi. He owned a mini mart in Venice Fl where the 9/11 terrorists received a $70,000 money transfer from the UAE. After 9/11 Chams then went missing, abandoning his mini mart, but he has recently re-surfaced in Saudi Arabia as a contractor for US defense firm Titan Corp.

In Titan Corp’s 2005 SEC filing they claimed that Chams had brought a $21.9m legal action in Saudi Arabia for defamation and wrongful termination of a consultancy agreement.

Meanwhile, Venice cab driver, Bob Simpson, says that prior to 9/11 he had transferred a wealthy Saudi businessman and his wife from the airport to a Chams apartment above the minimart to meet Atta and al-Shehhi - who were friends of Chams.

Hopsicker notes that the FBI never identified Chams at the 9/11 Commission hearings, but that the $70,000 money order receipt they did provide showed the address of Makram Chams mini mart.

He also showed that Titan Corp has connections to Randy Cunningham, Duncan Hunter, Brent Wilkes and Dusty Foggo, mostly through a fraudulent company called SkyWay Communications Holding (owned by Brent Kovar) whose drug plane was captured in Mexico on April 12 with 5.5 tons of cocaine.

SkyWays partner in the plane ownership was a Florida air charter company, Royal Sons LLC. Their plane was at one time housed in a Huffman Aviation hanger at the Venice Fl - the company that hosted the 9/11 terrorists.

So a 9/11 terrorist enabler has been working for a corrupt US defence company with ties to senior US politicians and public servants. Worth asking a few questions, you think?
