Biden Announces Presidential Bid

This calls for a double espresso with a Red Bull and Mountain Dew chaser.

Joe Biden is a good man from what I know and served honorably but I too am underwhelmed. He doesn't seem to be presidential material, for lack of a better phrase, I don't see the fire in the belly. I see an opportunity that crossed his path and he reached for it.

That said, I also believe that the more good men and women in '08 POTUS race talking about the issues - especially the War but just as important the soaring debt and the failing infrastructure - the better. Assuming he does more than just trash the Bush Administration. That's our job, us bloggers for truth and justice.

Let the candidates speak of the future, not the debilitating present. Bush will be brought down and disgraced, and the next president has to regenerate our country and return our honor.

I don't know that Biden is up to that challenge but I welcome his presence.

Senator Biden shows the problem that the Democrats have in today's world - he has never done nor said anything of consequence. As the trite saying goes - "He has no vision".

I have never met the Senator but I am sure he is a sincere and honest man, but he doesn't have a clue about how to lead this country.

We need someone to bring us back to the principles of our country - honesty, fair play, take care of our families and each other and protect the small, underpriviledged person.

Hmm, I kind of like him as your White House counsel
Tenet counterpart.

Remember we'll be looking for the Fitz for POTUS '08 mugs, car magnets soon-

Patrick Fitzgerald and those like him are what we all want to see in our public officials. From what I've seen
of PJF, he isn't nearly "dirty" enough
or willing to sell his soul to the devil to be president of this country.
It takes an almost soulless person to
want that job. Politicians invented the word "horse trader". But IF he were to run, I'd support it all the way. I've even get my sorry old, arthritis body out there and work my fingers to the bone.

I think we need a strong fine soul (instead of somebody souless)for president.

It's got to be somebody with great intellect, intelligence, ethical strength, and someone incorruptible and charismatic (to get elected) to figure out how to get us out of the disaster inflicted on us by the Bush administration.

Biden I believe is a good man, but not a great man. We need a truly great man or woman to handle the daunting task of getting us back on track and restoring our democracy here (not to mention the coffers), and our standing in the rest of the world.

SuperWoman and/or SuperMan, can you hear us?

Well I hope I implied PJF but didn't someone say a few days ago he won't run?

Ok, what's up with the new Jason Leopold piece? Is it a smokescreen that Libby's attorneys are trying to
create or what? Lying, lying, lying is what it's about not, change the subject, outing Ms. Plame. Someone surely did it, but that isn't what he's accused of doing.....yet. I'm still a big believer in the "bigger fish to fry" theory.

I like to listen to Joe Biden, but we need young blood, not tired out old pols to bring some fresh faces and attitudes to the same old process.

Personally, I would like to see RFK, Jr. and Obama run together, they are both brilliant and have the energy and drive that this country needs.

No comment on Biden running for President. We will see if he puts his money where his mouth is. Whomever becomes President in 2008, whether it is a man or woman, the person will be tested by the public and all across the country. It will take a long time for this country to heal and gain conference within each other and across the world. The person must have a strong character to lead and serve the people! And I mean serve the people! That is what is missing for the past 6 years from the Bush Asministration.

I wonder who is the "official one" accordiing to Leopold's article?:

Woodward's Plame Leak Deep Throat
By Jason Leopold
t r u t h o u t | Report

Woodward's source "is referred to as 'official one.'

Woodward might have done a great job for not disclosing over 30 years of Mark Felt as "Deep Throat." We may not have to wait 30 years for this identity. Is it Hadley or Armitage? Also, what is puzzling is that a reporter has to have two sources. I wonder who are the two sources for Woodward, Novak, Russett, Miller, Cooper etc. And are those two sources were sources for some or all of those reporters?

I like Joe Biden. But I like Russ Feingold better.
Obama is a good choice, but not Condi Rice or any one from the Bush Family!

Joe is cute and would make a great presidential photo...But Joe loves Joe bestest. Just like John McCain
This country has plenty of style-but we are in desperate need of substance. Forget it, Joe-your day in the sun is over-along with many who fell flat in protecting this country against a horrific, expensive and oh-so needless war. Thanks for nothing!
Kathy, sweetie, either take more or cut down on the PrimPro- its making you too weird. (The breathy remark about spending your Daddys' money till it's gone-my Daddy would be very angry if I peed it away like you are about to)

This came in on the web md page..
Wonder if Fitz knows about this:

Can you feel the rush?
Finally, a little boost to end the week -- but watch out because it packs a wallop.

High-octane energy drinks like Red Bull and SoBe No Fear are so high in caffeine that they exceed the FDA limit set for tamer drinks, like Coke or Pepsi. But the caffeine level isn't disclosed on the label, which means these drinks may pose a health hazard for people with high blood pressure, pregnant women, or people who are prone to anxiety attacks.

Yes grandmanuk the senior vote rocks. As for Joe Biden well we can do better. He's stayed at the dance to long without doing anything. Biden knows he's not qualified for the job he's only doing this to help his policial position. If Bush/Rove/Cheney yell at him he'll cry and run. We can do much better for a leader who has to clean up this mess.
