An I. For An Eye...

New legal documents raise the potential that I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby's trial could turn into a political embarrassment for the Bush administration by focusing on whether the White House manipulated intelligence to justify the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq.

Scooter "Every Man For Himself" Libby Trial May Increase Embarrassment for Bush

I always suspected that bad policies, lies and deception led to the hard stuff - eating paste, running with scissors, outing covert agents, bold faced fibbing and turning on your friends!

Even if Libby breathes (or has a hangnail) on the
President, the little soldier is an embarrassment to the Administration. That old syuing : action speaks louder than words in coming back to bite Libby. If Libby get more heat from the Administration or his strategy by Libby's lawyer don't wash or his reputation is questioned, I wouldn't be surprised if you receive a call by Libby's lawyer to talk of a plea bargain.

Do I talk to hear myself talk! I already told you on the previous posting that the little soldier was going to cause Bush to be impeached. SPB was right! All of these cases and the Saudias, England, and most of the Middle East are in entangled with the corruption of this Administration. The end results will be these players will backstab Bush. Even the Secret Service won't be able to protect him as they say in French: YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN!

Ditto Jackie!

ATTENTION, ATTENTION: Little Soldier! Time for you to bail out! By the tine this case is over, Bush may ask to be exiled. Maybe neighbors with Michael Jackson.

I can't see how the Bush Administration can be more embarrassed than it already is.
Libby is simply treading water.
Bush is sinking in political quicksand, a slow and agonizing death (I hope).
I'm looking forward to the fight.

Hmmmm, interesting how 'Libby' could 'mis-remember' [who knew that was a word ... does Webster?] the 'fact' on Ms Valerie Plame-Wilson, but be held in such regard as to continue being 'our Tricky Dicky's rubber ducky' continuing on for another 20 some-odd months.

Seems to me he's vying for the dementia route... well, put him in the straight jacket and shoot him up 24x7 w/Haldol. Still too good for him and the rest of the WHIGs.

No mercy for the deviants.

You guys are living in a dream world. Bush impeached? PJF can't even nail down Karl Rove! PJ you've been dragging your feet on this for too long now. Why don't you do something worthwhile and look into Bon's case for us?

Phil,

Since you are a supporter of the Bush Administration, I have an idea of a solid defense for the little Soldier (aka Scooter Libby). Mr. I don't know leak the CIA name, As most children used that person as their defense when their parents catch them doing something wrong. That's the best dense Libby can use and he is still guily!

Speaking of Libby,

I just read in Reuters that not only Turd Blossom (Rove) and Armitage will testify but former CIA director George Tenet and former Secretary of State Colin Powell (Powell will be initeresting since Armitage is rumored to be the source of Woodward) as well.

Interesting on Crooks and Liars:

Bush using the straw man argument:

Bush's Straw man arguments
Bush uses this technique surprisingly (or not) like FOX News does. I believe the movie, "Outfoxed," has a segment devoted to the, "some people say," routine. The question always is, "what people say?"

And from Crooks and Liars from a journalist who interviewed Buffoon Lieberman. I am not the only one who thinks that Lieberman gone "space city.":
"I and some other journalists had lunch with Senator Joe Lieberman the other day and we listened to him talking about Iraq. Either Senator Lieberman is so divorced from reality that he's completely lost the plot or he knows he's spinning a line. Because one of my colleagues turned to me in the middle of this lunch and said he's not talking about any country I've ever been to and yet he was talking about Iraq, the very country where we were sitting."

Divorced from Reality love it!

Final side note: UCLA (my alma mater) just beaten Alabama in March Madness. Go Bruins!

Fitz,

Libby is running out of foil now. And Lieberman has shown his true neocon colors!

Lots of talk going around that three officials will be indicted for conspiracy soon, that's going to be one hell of a freeforall....Rove is as good as nailed and this Armitage guy, we will know how he fits in this week!

Isn't DAMN interesting, Libby's recollection of other individuals, their behavior, activities, notes, emails and conversations from some 2 to 4 year period ago, but consistently feigns 'fogginess' about his own statements.

Hmmmm. Good luck with THAT defense Libby.

Good luck indeed.

Thanks PJF for keeping the heat on...afterall, isn't that the way the Devil likes it?

I doubt anyone cares at this point if Libby goes to jail or not.

Bush sure doesn't. Why do you think his approval ratings are at (as you claim) 29%? Because he's gearing up for the 2008 campaign? No! Because he doesn't give a crap what you think anymore!

Just get used to it. Lay back and enjoy the ride folks.

That Bush is suddenly taking questions might mean Pinky & Cheney have received their rent free gray-bar hotel notices.

Lots of discovery left!

Hey Phil

It matters a hell of a lot if Libby goes to jail, because at least four of them are going to be charged with conspiracy.

And if Libby, Rove & friends end up in the same jail cell, there will be nothing left to buffer Bush!

He's finished, all it takes is a majority and he's impeached.
