Well, Irish Swami...

This Spanish/Irish/French/German Swami predicts:

33 House and 6 Senate

and plenty of election chaos and law suits to boot!

"Democrats 35+ gain in House and a 6 seat gain in the Senate."

Biloxi's bottomline is that if Dems can get the 15 seats (which is what they need to shoot for as mininum and also what Howard Dean and others had strategized for this) secured, then we are at least home free and have more voice in Congress. So, I am not looking for rather the Dems get 29 or 35 or whatever of the seats. My main concern is the magic number 15. Months ago, there was poll saying the Democrats will secure at least 13 seats. And this was before the Foley and Haggart scandals. If that is the case, the Dems will trample the GOP in the House seats. As far as the Senate race, that race will be quite interesting. But, thanks to the Foley and Haggart scandals, there will be a pull for the Dems in the Senate race. And I am glad that Melendez is the favorite in NJ against Kean. Should be an interesting election.

Howard must have used both his fingers and toes to come up with that number!

I appreciate that he held back money to build the party rather than win really big in this round.

EAST CLEVELAND, United States (AFP) - Early trouble with crashing electronic voting machines sparked immediate problems in some areas as US elections again went ahead amid fears of delays and polling irregularities.

In one elementary school in the predominently black district of East Cleveland, Ohio, all 12 machines went down when voting opened at 6:30 am (1130 GMT), according to an AFP correspondent at the scene.

The machines were not started up until two hours later and poll officials refused to hand out paper ballots until a lawyer for the watchdog group Election Protection showed up.

What the hell are Ohio and Florida's problems?

I put on my hazmat suit and voted... then I bought a nice bagful of sugar and caffeine to get through the day and night. I suggest everyone lay in supplies and put pizza delivery on speed dial.

Fitz your contest aren't working so let's just use the fun bet, as to dated I'm waiting for my signed picture and I'll be 100 before it gets here so no more promises ok.
I think the Dems will take control of both Senate/Congress but I pray it's a landslide for the Dems. But Americans have to pay more attention to what these elected people are doing and not let it get this bad again.
