In the last year, Democratic and Republican floor watchers say, Mr. Murtha has helped Republicans round up enough Democratic votes to narrowly block a host of Democratic proposals: to investigate federal contracting fraud in Iraq, to reform lobbying laws, to increase financing for flood control, to add $150 million for veterans' health care and job training, and to exempt middle-class families from the alternative minimum tax.

Report Exposes
Lies Leading To
No-Win War In Iraq
Retired Air Force Colonel identifies 50 bogus
news stories and a 'strategy of lies' behind the Bush Administration's worldwide marketing
campaign for invading Iraq in 2003.

According to Gardiner, "It was not bad intelligence" that lead to the quagmire in Iraq, "It was an orchestrated effort [that] began before the war" that was designed to mislead the public and the world. Gardiner's research led him to conclude that elements at the highest levels of the US and British governments had conspired to plant "stories of strategic influence" that were known to be false.

The Crimes of Mena
The Suppressed Article

This is the article which had been scheduled to appear in the Washington Post. After having cleared the legal department for all possible questions of inaccurate statements, the article was scheduled for publication when just as the presses were set to roll, Washington Post Managing Editor Bob Kaiser (Like George Bush, a member of the infamous "Skull & Bones Fraternity), killed the article without explanation. According to the sidebar which appeared with the Penthouse Magazine version of this story, Bob Kaiser refused to even meet with Sally Denton and Roger Morris, hiding in his office while his secretary made excuses.

Patriot Girl,

I think Murtha was voting the way he was as part of a Democrat strategy to hamper the Republicans..

But the People are fed up with strategy because it doesn't help the Country one bit.

If they're gonna continually spend all their time backstabbing each other they're gonna continue to make bad laws and focus on politics within the politics instead of the politics of setting things right.

If they continue doing that for the next two years the Incumbents running are gonna find themselves unemployed!

End of story..

There he goes again! He knows he's not be charged with the underlying crime, but he's still defending himself and the administration on exactly that. OT, there was an article in yesterday's Chicago Tribune on Judith Miller testifying for the prosecution in the Mohammed Salah trial. I'm surprised none of you mentioned it. The defense honed in on her cooperation with foreign governments in releasing information they want out to the American public, her shameful participation in the rationale for Iraq, her role in the outing of Plame. They asked her if she had made a deal with Fitzgerald that she would testify in this case if she were let off the hook for perjury in the Plame affair. She denies it, but how creditable is she?

A coalition of national organizations and political leaders announced plans this weekend to launch a national movement for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Cheney, RAW STORY has learned.
The organizers of ImpeachForChange held a press conference Saturday, along with an impeachment rally to pressure the new Democratic majority for investigations into impeachment. The events took place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, just across from Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were signed.

Pimp Daddy Gerbil throws the bloggers under the bus:

Former President Bush Blames ‘Bloggers’ for ‘Ugly’ Political Climate

Bush pinned the blame on bloggers. “It’s probably a little worse now given electronic media and the bloggers and all these kinds of things,”

Also, Bush revealed that he enjoys using “the email” but lamented that his son, President George W. Bush, cannot for fear that the emails would get subpoenaed. Bush worried that presidents who used email would be forced to prove “that you were telling the truth and all this stuff.”

Interesting pimp daddy Gerbik uses email (probably for his mistreses) but the chimpster son doesn't.. I am certainly not buying the crapola about not using emails because you might get being subpoenaed as Prez. You can get subpoenaed as any everyday Joe off the street!

These idiots are at it once more to try and cover the presidents butt from getting arrested and tried for Treason!

The 109th Congress is desperately trying to sqeeze off another bad bill...

"A bill to legalize the President's Warrantless Wiretapping program!"

Even after the People clearly spoke out against this and for change and a new direction, these people continue their relentless persuit of Fascism.

Thank God Russ Feingold is still working for the people..

Further I must point out that even IF the 109th manages to pass this into Law does not necessarily mean that the President and VP are off the hook.

They've clearly violated the 4th Amendment and continue to do so even after orders from a Judge to cease and disist, have to answer for this no matter what.

They've actually torn apart the Civil Rights in the name of Terrorism which was based on 9/11 which was never truly investigated.

The Constitution is meaningless at this point and if the Wiretaps get legalized that will be the final piece of the pie. Because those wiretaps will be admissible in those secret Kangaroo courts that they have now and the people that will wind up there will be normal American Citizens and not Terrorists..

A Total Mockery of the Laws of our land and complete BS on this War on Terror..

e, at 7.33 am said

Five signers were captured by the British as traitors and tortured before they died.

Although, I'm British, I can't argue with that.

And thanks for the reminder. It cannot be repeated often enough what your founding fathers did for you.

But don't forget that there were Britons who supported the Revolution of 1776.

At a great banquet at Holkham, Coke omitted the toast of the King; but every night during the American war he drank the health of Washington as the greatest man on earth. The war, he said, was the King's war, ministers were his tools, the press was bought. He denounced later the King's reception of the traitor Arnold. When the King's degenerate son, who became George IV, after some special misconduct, wrote to propose his annual visit to Holkham, Coke replied, "Holkham is open to strangers on Tuesdays." It was an independent and irate England which spoke in Coke. Those who paid taxes, he said, should control those who governed. America was not getting fair play. Both Coke and Fox, and no doubt many others, wore waistcoats of blue and buff because these were the colors of the uniforms of Washington's army.

There were Britons in 1776 who supported the American revilution and there still are.

They do so, first and foremost, because we believe in government for the people, by the people, and of the people.

But we also do so out of purely selfish motives because we know that America is the last great hope of the earth, and if America goes down the plug hole, then, frankly, my dears, we're all f-cked!

LOL! Come on. GEF! Old man Gerbil is looking for fresh meat. He is tired of Babs who has been giving hin dry dreams. Of course, Terri Hatcher wouldn't want anything to do with him. But, I had to chuckled when my gf taped Entertainment Tonight on night and he was at a basketball game and hottie actress who plays on Desperate Housewives (forget her name but it wasn't Ms. Hatcher) was there. The commentator asked Daddy Gerbil did he watch Desperate Housewives and all he said to the commentator: "Where is Terri Hatcher? I want Terri. I want Terri." And that told me that he didn't want Terri to burp him!

Seriously, I know he rides his bike, pretends to read books, go on The Google and the internets, and yearns the bottle often but what about the rest of the time?

Seems to have more time for pet projects that won't help this country.

The point is, none of it will be a surprise to Irving Lewis Scooter Libby and his lawyers.

They know damn well that there was a crime, and that Fitzgerald is probably looking forward to prosecuting someone for it as soon as the perjury case is done. So Team Libby just wants a sneak preview of what kind of case Fitzgerald has built against him (and, by extension, against Scooter's boss, Big Dick Cheney).

And Fitz knows that and that is why the watchers are watching the watchers..

ABC: Abramoff set to turn in Dem senators, Rove

Sources close to the investigation say Abramoff has provided information on his dealings with and campaign contributions and gifts to "dozens of members of Congress and staff," including what Abramoff has reportedly described as "six to eight seriously corrupt Democratic senators."
The sources say Abramoff was about to provide information about Bush administration officials, including Karl Rove, "accepting things of value" from Abramoff.
Rove has denied any wrongdoing in his dealings with Abramoff. But the lobbyist visited the White House at least seven times, according to Secret Service logs obtained by Judicial Watch.

I knew that Jack of all trades would squeal on Rove but which Democratic senators are corrupted.. I always knew both side of the party had ties with Abramoff but which ones sold their souls to Abramoff?

Right now, Rove is a liability to the WH since he didn't deliver a GOP win in the election.

Now that Pelosi is in charge, do you think she is watching Lieberman when he sealed his kiss with the Gerbil and heart the GOP? But, let's not forget the Abramoff scandal. Whoever one of the senators have ties with Abramoff will lose their seat and job. Pelosi has a zero toleranceon graft. So, Lieberman better hope that he is not on Abramoff's list in which Abramoff is telling to the feds. So, there may be vacant seats to fill for the corrupted Senators involved with Jack.

LAS VEGAS - Comic Relief, the celebrity-studded fundraising telethon for the homeless, is back, after an 8-year hiatus.

Robin Williams, Billy Crystal and Whoopi Goldberg will take the stage Saturday to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina victims, capping a weeklong Comedy Festival that began Tuesday in Las Vegas.

Comic Relief founder and President Bob Zmuda said the decision to revive the telethon came after he narrowly escaped the wrath of the 2004 Asian tsunami while vacationing in Thailand.

"I got severe survivor's guilt," he said. He returned to Thailand to volunteer in a morgue with thousands of bodies. "It was the worst experience in my life and yet it became the best."

Then Katrina smashed into the Gulf Coast last year, leaving thousands homeless — and giving Comic Relief a new cause.

A Liberal's Pledge to Disheartened Conservatives

November 14th, 2006

To My Conservative Brothers and Sisters,

I know you are dismayed and disheartened at the results of last week's election. You're worried that the country is heading toward a very bad place you don't want it to go. Your 12-year Republican Revolution has ended with so much yet to do, so many promises left unfulfilled. You are in a funk, and I understand.

Well, cheer up, my friends! Do not despair. I have good news for you. I, and the millions of others who are now in charge with our Democratic Congress, have a pledge we would like to make to you, a list of promises that we offer you because we value you as our fellow Americans. You deserve to know what we plan to do with our newfound power -- and, to be specific, what we will do to you and for you.

Thus, here is our Liberal's Pledge to Disheartened Conservatives:

Dear Conservatives and Republicans,

I, and my fellow signatories, hereby make these promises to you:

1. We will always respect you for your conservative beliefs. We will never, ever, call you "unpatriotic" simply because you disagree with us. In fact, we encourage you to dissent and disagree with us.

2. We will let you marry whomever you want, even when some of us consider your behavior to be "different" or "immoral." Who you marry is none of our business. Love and be in love -- it's a wonderful gift.

3. We will not spend your grandchildren's money on our personal whims or to enrich our friends. It's your checkbook, too, and we will balance it for you.

4. When we soon bring our sons and daughters home from Iraq, we will bring your sons and daughters home, too. They deserve to live. We promise never to send your kids off to war based on either a mistake or a lie.

5. When we make America the last Western democracy to have universal health coverage, and all Americans are able to get help when they fall ill, we promise that you, too, will be able to see a doctor, regardless of your ability to pay. And when stem cell research delivers treatments and cures for diseases that affect you and your loved ones, we'll make sure those advances are available to you and your family, too.

6. Even though you have opposed environmental regulation, when we clean up our air and water, we, the Democratic majority, will let you, too, breathe the cleaner air and drink the purer water.

7. Should a mass murderer ever kill 3,000 people on our soil, we will devote every single resource to tracking him down and bringing him to justice. Immediately. We will protect you.

8. We will never stick our nose in your bedroom or your womb. What you do there as consenting adults is your business. We will continue to count your age from the moment you were born, not the moment you were conceived.

9. We will not take away your hunting guns. If you need an automatic weapon or a handgun to kill a bird or a deer, then you really aren't much of a hunter and you should, perhaps, pick up another sport. We will make our streets and schools as free as we can from these weapons and we will protect your children just as we would protect ours.

10. When we raise the minimum wage, we will pay you -- and your employees -- that new wage, too. When women are finally paid what men make, we will pay conservative women that wage, too.

11. We will respect your religious beliefs, even when you don't put those beliefs into practice. In fact, we will actively seek to promote your most radical religious beliefs ("Blessed are the poor," "Blessed are the peacemakers," "Love your enemies," "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God," and "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."). We will let people in other countries know that God doesn't just bless America, he blesses everyone. We will discourage religious intolerance and fanaticism -- starting with the fanaticism here at home, thus setting a good example for the rest of the world.

12. We will not tolerate politicians who are corrupt and who are bought and paid for by the rich. We will go after any elected leader who puts him or herself ahead of the people. And we promise you we will go after the corrupt politicians on our side FIRST. If we fail to do this, we need you to call us on it. Simply because we are in power does not give us the right to turn our heads the other way when our party goes astray. Please perform this important duty as the loyal opposition.

I promise all of the above to you because this is your country, too. You are every bit as American as we are. We are all in this together. We sink or swim as one. Thank you for your years of service to this country and for giving us the opportunity to see if we can make things a bit better for our 300 million fellow Americans -- and for the rest of the world.

Signed,

Michael Moore

Administration sources said Mr. Rove has sought to stay with Mr. Bush until the end of his presidency. The sources said despite pressure on the president to reshuffle his staff for 2007, Mr. Bush wants Mr. Rove by his side.

Cheney, Libby ask dismissal of civil complaint

Lawyers for Vice President Dick Cheney and his indicted former chief of staff, I Lewis "Scooter" Libby - who is awaiting trial on separate criminal charges of perjury and obstruction - have filed motions in federal court asking a judge to dismiss a civil complaint against them filed by former Ambassador Joseph Wilson and his wife, former CIA employee Valerie Plame.

Vice President Cheney's attorneys argue that the suit should be dismissed on various grounds including that, "the Vice President is entitled to qualified immunity," and that Cheney is "absolutely immune from suits for civil damages."

Vice President Dick Cheney asked a federal judge Tuesday to dismiss a lawsuit brought against him by former CIA operative who says the White House leaked her identity to the press.

Cheney's attorneys criticized the lawsuit in court papers, saying it invented constitutional rights, intruded on national security discussions and came two years after the statute of limitations had expired.

VIDEO: DoJ Takes The Military Commissions Act Out For a Spin

Today we got a taste of just how un-American President Bush's Military Commissions Act of 2006 is. After detailing the indefinite detention of Ali Saleh Kahlah al-Marri — a legal US immigrant student who has been locked up for over 5 years without charges — Jack asks: Is it fair for immigrants in the US to be held "indefinitely" if suspected of terrorism?

So if an American Citizens who is out of work wants to get back at that US Immigrant that has his/her Job then all the American Citizen has to do is set up the Immigrant to be charged as a Terrorist..

"1. Will the Federal Judge let them off the hook ?

GEF:

Will you let the second question go about the Republican crapola? Just simply rephrase the question to say: Is the Federal Judge is going to fair and honest and go by the book according to the oath that he or she took before being appointed a judge? And you question Judge Walton's character since he was appointed by the Gerbil.

I don't think that the judge is going let Scooter the Ambien get their way since Scooter trial is in less than two months. I will still say this to you GEF:

1. Peter Fitzgerald, former GOP Senator recommend Fitz for the U.S. Attorney.

2. John Ashcroft, GOP and former Attorney General recuses himself from the leak case and had Fitzgerald as the Special Counsel to lead the leak investigation.

Now, I have to ask you GEF, should Patrick Fitzgertald said 5 years ago: "you know, the GOP are all crooked. I am not going to take the job as U.S. Attorney or Special Prosecutor. I think I'll stay in NY."

I know that we have dealt with a lot of corruption among the GOP. And it is differcult to trust anyone that is a GOP politican because that poltician carries the human stain of corruption where he or she goes. But, this is a corrupted society that we live in. But, we do have to live in that society. But just as many bad people, there are good people.. And the Wilsons are fighters.. But, the Wilsons made their mark in the public eye when they stood up to the Administration and held them accountable... And that I respect them for that whether they win their case or not!

And yes, CC, I cannot wait for the smurf's trial..

And GEF: muzzle up for crying out loud and stop being doom and gloom!

And this latest news of the civil case does tell me that Cheney and Libby are scared to death of the civil case and they are afraid of the Wilson. Remember this?

Thought you might be interested in this forgotten bit of information..........

It was 1987! At a lecture the other day they were playing an old news video of Lt.Col. Oliver North testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings during the Reagan Administration.

There was Ollie in front of God and country getting the third degree, but what he said was stunning!

He was being drilled by a senator; "Did you not recently spend close to $60,000 for a home security system?"

Ollie replied, "Yes, I did, Sir."

The senator continued, trying to get a laugh out of the audience, "Isn't that just a little excessive?"

"No, sir," continued Ollie.

"No? And why not?" the senator asked.

"Because the lives of my family and I were threatened, sir."

"Threatened? By whom?" the senator questioned.

"By a terrorist, sir" Ollie answered.

"Terrorist? What terrorist could possibly scare you that much?"

"His name is Osama bin Laden, sir" Ollie replied.

At this point the senator tried to repeat the name, but couldn't pronounce it, which most people back then probably couldn't. A couple of people laughed at the attempt. Then the senator continued. Why are you so afraid of this man?" the senator asked.

"Because, sir, he is the most evil person alive that I know of", Ollie answered.

"And what do you recommend we do about him?" asked the senator.

"Well, sir, if it was up to me, I would recommend that an assassin team be formed to eliminate him and his men from the face of the earth."

The senator disagreed with this approach, and that was all that was shown of the clip.

By the way, that senator was Al Gore!

Also:
Terrorist pilot Mohammad Atta blew up a bus in Israel in 1986. The Israelis captured, tried and imprisoned him. As part of the Oslo agreement with the Palestinians in 1993, Israel had to agree to release so-called "political prisoners."

However, the Israelis would not release any with blood on their hands. The American President at the time, Bill Clinton, and his Secretary of State, Warren Christopher, "insisted" that all prisoners be released.

Thus Mohammad Atta was freed and eventually thanked the US by flying an airplane into Tower One of the World Trade Center. This was reported by many of the American TV networks at the time that the terrorists were first identified.
It was censored in the US from all later reports.
If you agree that the American public should be made aware of this fact, pass this on.

No offense, but Bushies that like me too have a bad habit of getting and passing on misinformation. He said it just proved we need to have our govenment look into it all more... and I agree- I so agree.
I can't believe that this is sent around with no back-up links, ect. ... gosh, but then I do. Can we find out if
North really said this? If he did, what was Bin's tie to "U.S. in 1987"? I'd love to know. I need to respond to this email and, I was just sharing, Assanon@11:25

Is it true that . . . Oliver North said during the 1987 Iran-Contra hearings that Osama bin Laden had threatened his life?

The answer is no. This Internet hoax says that under questioning from an unidentified senator, Col. Oliver North said he had a home security system installed because a terrorist had threatened him and his family. When asked who this terrorist was, Col. North said it was Osama bin Laden.

The facts: Oliver North testified about a home security system during a July 7, 1987 joint Senate-House hearing on the Iran-Contra investigation. The questioner was not a senator, but committee counsel John Nields. Col. North testified the security system was installed because threats were made on his life by terrorist Abu Nidal.

Found on the Senate website.

John Kerry was involved in the Iran-Contra scandal and not Al Gore. Kerry created the Kerry Committe report that exposed the illegal activities of Oliver North.

Jan that was smart you of to question that mass mail. There's plently of junk like that being spread from all sides.

Ollie's whacked, in the 70's he was admitted to a VA hospital for running down his street at night naked with a pistol yelling "I'm no good" over and over.

Vietnam War PTSD.

The late Col. David Hackworth USMC (a real patriot) has the low down on him here below:

"He returned to the U.S., where he spent as much as three weeks at Bethesda Naval Hospital for some deep-shrinking by psychiatrists. The episode is shrouded in mystery. North himself is vague about it in Under Fire, his autobiography published reports that parts of his medical record were expunged. Meanwhile, there have been published reports (which North never legally challenged) that provide details about the apparent nervous breakdown. In one account he ran around naked, babbling incoherently and waving a .45 pistol."

Convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff is scheduled to report to federal prison tomorrow, over the objections of federal prosecutors who say they still need his help to pursue leads on officials he allegedly bribed.

Gates_and_Question_of_Independence
_Part_1114.html

Does it bother anyone that Gates, Baker and the various 80s bunch of 40 and 41 all seem to have a conflict of interest?

The Pentagon should be answering questions like why they use depleted uranium when our planet is in such dire shape and if they play both sides of the conflict in Iraq, killing our own troops outright or slowly by the D.U. or was the Pentagon involved on 9/11.

Ike's words certainly ring true all these years later.

Thanks, cjt---I will visit it. We need more like the Colonel.

8:21 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

We need more like Jack too, in his present position that is...

"If it were up to the Justice Department, however, Abramoff wouldn't be heading to prison — at least not yet. He could hold the key to a sweeping corruption case involving Congress, members of the Bush administration and their aides,

>and prosecutors said putting their star witness behind bars would impede the investigation.<

But a Miami federal judge refused to delay the sentence, meaning Abramoff's cooperation will have to continue from prison, where he will be inmate No. 27593-112. Abramoff's lawyers had no comment.

Abramoff was originally assigned to a federal prison in Pennsylvania about four hours away from Washington. Prosecutors wanted him assigned to a prison in Cumberland, Md., about two hours away.

The Justice Department said the issue has been resolved and, though the Bureau of Prisons will not comment on where Abramoff will report, prison officials began making preparation for a crush of reporters outside the Cumberland prison.

The Cumberland facility includes a medium-security prison with about 1,100 prisoners and a minimum-security camp with about 300 prisoners. The Justice Department has indicated in court papers that it wants Abramoff to serve time in the minimum-security camp."

For SPB, here's your impeachment petition;-)
Impeach Them Both Democrats.com-right now their sever is down...Gee I wonder why
------------------

The case for impeaching Bush and Cheney is overwhelming, and 51% of Americans think Democrats should investigate and impeach them.

But Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi insists impeachment is "off the table."

We can put it back "on the table" by mobilizing the 51% majority that supports impeachment into a powerful grassroots lobbying force.

Here is our plan:
Collect 1 Million Signatures on our Impeachment Petition

In the first 3 days we have collected over 6,000 signatures on our Petition to Impeach Bush and Cheney.
