More than a dozen former House pages say Rep. Mark Foley was known to be extraordinarily friendly in a way that made them uncomfortable but none say they received a sexual or suggestive overture from him during their time on Capitol Hill.
Yet many of them said they were uneasy about Foley's actions and felt awkward complaining to anyone about them.
"Mark Foley knew that he could get away with this type of behavior with male pages because he was a congressman," said Mark Beck-Heyman, a Democrat. "But many people on Capitol Hill, including many high-level Republican staffers and members, have known for over 11 years about what was going on and chose to do nothing."

Reports were being broadcast to the people of Iraq that Saddam was winning and that they were driving out the Americans as they speak.
But the truth was that Saddam's regime was toast and the Nation collapsed under American Control..

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A state senator said he is evaluating whether to continue his bid for a second term after a Charleston television station aired revealing pictures of him last week.
"My family has urged me not to withdraw from the election and I will work with them to make a decision in the immediate future," State Sen. Randy White, a Webster County Democrat, said in a letter to newspapers in his district.
An apologetic White also wrote that he was "shocked" and "horribly embarrassed" after WCHS-TV aired photos depicting him and at least two other men wearing only body paint.
"The pictures were taken approximately two years ago in private and were stolen from my personal computer," said White, 51, a married father of three. "I am not sure why they were given to the media, but I must assume for obvious political reasons."
WCHS said it received the photos anonymously on a compact disc. The various photos, censored by the station, were shown for about 80 seconds during a 5-minute news segment alleging White was the apparent victim of a blackmail plot. The station aired the segment during several newscasts last week.
White did not mention extortion during a brief Monday interview with The Associated Press or in Tuesday's letter. White wrote that he had been working with his family to overcome a "personal identification situation" and to overcome depression for which he has been treated through medication for over a year.
"I am a religious person and have been for some months praying to God to help my family and me through this tragic and troubling episode in my life," the letter said.
In its news segment, WCHS said it had reported the disc and its contents to the FBI.
White served three terms in the House of Delegates before winning his seat in the 11th Senate District in 2002.

But to some old people who don't know about Foley and Foley still being on the ballot in Florida, will be confused on Election Day and vote against Foley when they are really voting against Negron?

Everyone in this country whether you are a soccer mom or the bum on the street have been duped, lied, and hookwinked by the Gerbil! The prospect of a three-way U.S. Senate race in Pennsylvania appeared all but over yesterday as the state Supreme Court rebuffed Green Party Senate candidate Carl Romanelli's bid to get on the November ballot.

"It is a shame how difficult it is for someone who's demonstrated a sincere interest in being part of the democratic process to actually be on the ballot," she said. "Bob Casey and his cohorts should be ashamed at the efforts they went to knock someone off the ballot who's actually willing to say what he believes."

Yes, the Gerbil says that he goes to bed at 9 pm. But, you and I are not behind close doors with him to know that the Gerbil is not a strong person when he faces the public. And he showed his real face on how fearful he was in decision making on the Michael Moore's movie when he was reading My PET Goat backwards and Ari Fleischer was looking at the Gerbil and wondering what the Gerbil will do. And the yearning of the bottle by the Gerbil and his incompetence for not helping the Katrina victims tell you alot about him. But action speaks louder than words. He may be thinking about legacy, power, and money but when things don't go his way or everyhting he touches is destroyed, he will try to find God.
Cheaters may say that they sleep like babies but when things go wrong in life, they try to cling onto God because they are afraid of after life. I have too many people who did wrong in life with malice that don't sleep like baby. I would put everything that in the Gerbil's life as the true gospel from him.
