Rove Has Been Indicted - Luskin Now A Subject Of Investigation
May 17, 2006 -- LATE EDITION -- WMR can report tonight on more details concerning the confusing reports regarding Karl Rove and Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald from last Friday. WMR can confirm that the appearance of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales before the Grand Jury at the US Federal Courthouse in Washington was a formality in which the jury informed the Attorney General of their decision to indict Karl Rove. That proceeding lasted for less than 30 minutes and took place shortly after noon. Gonzales's personal security detachment was present in the courthouse during the Grand Jury briefing. From the courthouse, Gonzales's motorcade proceeded directly down Constitution Avenue to the Department of Justice.
According to sources within the Patton and Boggs law firm, Karl Rove was present at the law firm's building on M Street. WMR was told by a credible source that a Patton and Boggs attorney confirmed that Fitzgerald paid a visit to the law firm to inform Rove attorney Robert Luskin and Rove that an indictment would be returned by the Grand Jury against Rove. Contrary to other reports, some of which may have emanated from the Rove camp in order to create diversions and smokescreens, the meetings at Patton and Boggs did not last 15 hours nor was a 24-hour notice of intent to indict delivered to Rove. In the Scooter Libby case last October, after the Grand Jury decided to indict Libby on Friday, October 21 and the Attorney General personally heard the decision the same day at a meeting with the jury, the actual indictment was issued the following Friday, October 28. Several sources have told WMR that an announcement concerning the indictment of Rove will be made on Friday, May 19 generally following the same scenario from October 28, 2005 -- the posting of the indictment on the Special Prosecutor's web site followed by a press conference at Main Justice.
WMR was also told by a credible source that part of the reason for Fitzgerald's visit to Patton and Boggs was to inform Rove attorney Luskin that he has moved into the category of a "subject" of the special prosecutor's investigation as a result of a conversation with Time reporter Viveca Novak, in which Novak told Luskin that Rove was a source for Time's Matt Cooper. The special prosecutor, who has prosecuted one defense attorney in the Hollinger case, is reportedly investigating whether Luskin, as an officer of the court, may have violated laws on obstruction of justice.
WMR has also discovered that last year Rove, realizing he remained a lightning rod in the CIA Leakgate scandal, made preliminary plans to move into the private sector from the White House to take political heat off the Bush administration. However, as it became clear that he was in over his head legally and his legal bills piled up, Rove decided to remain at the White House. - Wayne Madsen Report

Top of the mornin'
interesting data today
keep the torch lit in the Medal Lady..
Wayne is wrong - it is not Patton and Boggs - it is Patton Boggs LLC - it is the little things that bug me!
hmmmm. sweet -- Bobby put in a package with a nice bow on it.
fitting.
who's got the juju bees...
as for A+, gotta stop this silly Iran posturing thing.. Condi must be busy helping Brownie pick out ties at Nordi's..
she's stopped spouting off to the press on Iran . . .
Somehow I thought Stanford was a good school.. hmm, issues.
Hug me Kathleen like Rancourt does.
Glory be and saints preserve us! Liked the interesting fact that Patrick waited a week between Libby's indictment and that announcement. That may mean TOMORROW everyone.
There must be someone out there to take over for this crew. I do see Patrick taking over in Bobby Kennedy's old job. Those were the days.
I think we know who the "crazies" are...Colin Powell had it right.
"F&*@ing crazies" is what he called the warmongers.
Nice lyrics dodgone, but sad here we are again.
I only have three questions When, When and When? I have to be more tired of waiting than Rover.

Judith Miller says she new about 9/11 possible attacks before it happened on Raw Story.
Yes I read the account and Jason should be proud too. Fitz people that have followed the case know what 's going on others just pick the headlines so they have no idea. Rove is indicted now our work has just began. It will be interesting to see how these guys turn on each other before it was so hard waiting now it's so cool. I'm glad I know the man and his team that are behind this case it makes it easier to follow.
I've poured myself a cup of rich steamy Suisse Mocha...I hope it stays hot until Friday...lots of reading to do this morning...
yes, I know how to spell 'knew' since the little things bother you....I don't sweat the small stuff...but people knowing about 9/11 and keeping quiet, letting this many people die so far? That pisses me off.
t
patience is a virtue.
Fitz will not disappoint... he's just pulling together a nice package .. perhaps to be able to indict both Rove and his attorney the very same day.
Attorneys take an oath. If you read carefully, Luskin is in a little bit of a 'lurch'.
Sweet. Very sweet -- then we're on to Official A+ ...
Remember Merry Fitzmas is a multi-day holiday.
All Good.
Charles--
Fitz is a Mets fan.
WHAT a pleasure to read Wayne Madsen's piece at PJF's website. He is most certainly NOT insane.
And neither is Jason Leopold!
Gotta say-- Biloxi, you slay me. Digging up the stuff you do. About Mr. C.
I am Glad the little things bug you Fitz, just dont you get any little things wrong, the World Community cannot afford the criminals that reside in the Peoples White House, for another minute. Take your time The World Community sure as Hell needs you.

Fitz is trying to give people heart attacks on this blog.
Kangaroo,
You must understand that most of us here in the U.S. are politically impassionate Bogans. Less than half of us even vote. Just give us our SUVs, beer and football and we're happy.
The legal process is a long tedious affair. This is not a playstation game(although it might make for a good one down the line
"Pug(prosecutors) vs politicans).
Let it play itself out. Our SP's are on the job.SO let the TICK TOC-
TICK TOC.
I am not surprised that Luskin is now a subject of the investigation. Rule #2 for criminal defense attorneys (Rule #1 has to do with getting your fees up front) is that you never become a witness for your client. When you are out there looking for information by talking to people, you use an investigator. If the investigator has to testify later about what was said, so be it. That's what investigators are for. Of course, when you are "playing" the press like Luskin has been doing, and when same press that he has been "playing" are witnesses in the case, things get tricky. Now, on to a corollary of Rule #2: If you are unfortunate to become a witness for your client and the facts about which you would testify are not undisputed, you WITHDRAW from the case. And another way to look at it is that Rove has managed to corrupt someone else, an otherwise very fine defense attorney. What a tragedy.
Good Morning/Afternoon/ Evening folks!
Happy Thursday!
Well, we have another article from WMR claiming the truth behind the Fitzgerald/Luskin/Rove/Leopold soap opera.. It seems at though at lot of independent journalists on the internet have all of the answers to is it or isn't Karl Rove indicted and what took place in that law firm... The fact reamins is that Jason broke the story, told the truth, and bakced his story with two good sources. And one of those sources help him to break the story about the 250 emails.. I think that there are a lot of journalists and media trying to jump on the bandwagon of Jason (even though many of the journalists and media discredit Jason's Saturday story) to try to get the scoop... And the only four people who know the exact truth are Luskin, Rove, Fitzgerald, and God! This is expected from many from the media and journalists is to cause a frenzy, a buzz, an some negativeness for people to discuss. Nevertheless, the truth will unfold...
Anon at 9:34 am:
Thanks for the compliment! I forgot to add that Luskin is in hot water.. Luskin will have to get himself a lawyer. As Anon at 11:55 am have eluded to, Rove has really messed a perhaps a good attorney like Luskin... But, that's the whole Gerbil and company. They are like a wart. Once you touch a wart, it spreads... This is showing how corrupted this administration is .
Prosecutors need to be perfectionists to be sure nothing falls between the cracks.
Amazing that the crooks hire lawyers that are crooks too. I guess "like attracts like".
D
You guys really believe this non-sense? Don't you think that if Alberto Gonzales, his security detail, and his motorcade had been at the courthouse last friday... the dozen or so journalists staking out the grand jury would have noticed? Please... this kind of wayne madsen reporting is complete crap. The grand jury did not meet with the Attorney General last friday... they didn't meet with him before Scooter was indicted. Don't get sucked in by the total non-sense coming from Leopold and Madsen. Their reporting is unreliable, bizarre, and defies logic. Ask any federal prosecutor... the attorney general does not meet with grand juries. It doesn't happen, period. Get a grip.
Karl, Luskin is calling AGAIN! And yes, he will accept gold panda coins for payment.
Fitz will clarify all of this soon! :)
Anon at 12:22,
What the hell do you care what we believe or not?
Why are you here anyway? No one is forcing you do visit this site are they?
