Can We Be More Vague..?

How many times recently have you heard or read the following:
“We are not talking about any aspect of this case and our office is not commenting on anything regarding the investigation at this time.” - Randall Sanborn.
Frustrating, yes? Recognizing the high level of interest in several of my high profile cases and personal life I have sent Randall a memo marked "urgent" that will give him much more leeway in answering any and all questions from the press and general public.
* Cannot predict right now * It is certain * Better not tell you now * Concentrate and ask again *Yes, definitely * Don't count on it * As I see it, yes * Without a doubt * Reply hazy, try again * My reply is no * My sources say no * You can rely on it * It is decidely so * Libby is guilty as sin * Leviticus 5:5 * Sec. Rice and the very Special Prosecutor are only friends * What blog? *
* Rove is guilty as sin * Cheney is guilty as sin * Pray for President Bush * Jason Leopold used a wiretap * They are registered at Crate and Barrel * Oh, that blog *

This makes me rest easier knowing that at least we can get some further clarification.

I, too have been confused by Sanborn's way of dealing with everything.

I think personally, some of these guys are scared. After all you are talking about the worst mob they've seen....

You are talking about the Russia Ukraine Israel Mafia but few people admit that in public so......

I hope that some answers are forthcoming, and Randall is able to relax for once, I'm sure the case has been a rollercoaster for everybody.

I will patiently await new developments.

I know that Randall's statement may sound ambigious to the public and to the bloggers. The public and the bloggers want straight answers. But, when we are dealing with a case of a WH conspiracy and leaking classified informattion to reporters, you have to expect the fact that the case has to be conducted in secret.. From the transcript from Fitzgerald's press conference on October 28, 2005, Fitzgerald says about the leak case:

"I believe it should be conducted in secret, not only it was required by those rules but because the rules were wise. Those rules protect all of us."

This is interesting from Other media are now taking notice to Leopold:

From Talk

"The media also seems to be letting up on the attacks on Jason Leopold. Keith Olbermann on Countdown last night noted (as I did yesterday morning) that Jason Leopold beat the the New York Daily News by two months in reporting about Robert Grenier's connection to the Scooter Libby case. Jason's article was written March 18, the day after Libby's lawyers revealed it in a pleading.
Keith said:
Internet reporting is not yet an accepted form of journalism, nor is it yet an oxymoron. So the following two developments could be unconnected. More than a week ago, a Web-based writer reported of the imminent indictment of Karl Rove in Plamegate. Obviously that has not happened.
But more than two months ago, the same writer reported that Scooter Libby had discussed Valerie Plame in June 2003 with two CIA officials, including the man the agency would fire as its chief counterterrorism officer. Our fifth story on the COUNTDOWN, today's "New York Daily News" reported that Scooter Libby had discussed Valerie Plame in June 2003 with two CIA officials, including the man the agency would fire as its chief counterterrorism officer."

The New York Daily News reports really silenced the naysayers on Leopold!

Desperate people do desperate things:

From Thinkprogress:

Desperate for Supporters, DeLay Turns to Stephen Colbert

A good sign that Tom DeLay doesn’t have the facts on his side: the top source for his latest defense against his critics is Stephen Colbert.
This morning, DeLay’s legal defense fund sent out a mass email criticizing the movie “The Big Buy: Tom DeLay’s Stolen Congress,” by “Outfoxed” creator Robert Greenwald.
The email features a “one-pager on the truth behind Liberal Hollywood’s the Big Buy,” and the lead item is Colbert’s interview with Greenwald on Comedy Central (where Colbert plays a faux-conservative, O’Reilly-esque character).

'Hillary for president' rally draws 20 instead of hoped-for 200

Published: Wednesday, 05/24/06

A Hillary Clinton rally drew critics of President Bush, nonpartisan voters looking for a strong leader, and people who want to elect a female president.

About 20 people attended the Tuesday event, the national kickoff for, a grass-roots group pushing to draft the New York senator and former first lady to run for president in 2008.

Here is the developing story on Raw Story about the leak case. Here are the excerpts:

Prosecutors say silence in CIA leak case may signal Rove indictment coming

MSNBC's coverage of the CIA leak case continued Wednesday with new suggestions that presidential adviser Karl Rove may yet be indicted. The indictment of 'Bush's Brain' seemed imminent after reports from MSNBC and the Washington Post indicating that the Rove camp expected a decision earlier this month -- but it has now been 28 days since Rove testified for a fifth time before the grand jury investigating the outing of CIA officer Valerie Plame.
MSNBC's David Shuster says former federal prosecutors believe the silence from Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald doesn't bode well for Rove.

"Fitzgerald's office refuses to comment," Shuster said. "But former federal prosecutors describe the following procedure when considering an indictment: First, a prosecution team would review the evidence. Then, they would examine case law on the relevant criminal statutes. And finally, the prosecutors would decide whether a reasonable jury would convict at trial."

The trasncript is on Raw Story...

Maybe Fitz's staff is spending too much time on this blog and not doing the work of the "people". Seems to me that is something worth investigating. Maybe silence on that topic means it is being investigated as we speak. You never know what a "troll" is up to until one day he/she just lays it all on the line.

Now Dennis Hastert's offices are being raided by the FBI, speak of the devil and call the kettle black!

""The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert, is under investigation by the FBI, which is seeking to determine his role in an ongoing public corruption probe into members of Congress," ABC News' Brian Ross reports Wednesday evening. "Federal officials say the information implicating Hastert was developed from convicted lobbyists who are now cooperating with the government."

Excerpts: "Part of the investigation involves a letter Hastert wrote three years ago, urging the Secretary of the Interior to block a casino on an Indian reservation that would have competed with other tribes.

"The other tribes were represented by convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff who reportedly has provided details of his dealings with Hastert as part of his plea agreement with the government.

"The letter was written shortly after a fund-raiser for Hastert at a restaurant owned by Abramoff. Abramoff and his clients contributed more than $26,000 at the time.

"We are not aware of this," a Hastert spokesman told ABC. "The Speaker has a long history and a well-documented record of opposing Indian Reservation shopping for casino gaming purposes.""

Of course Hastert dont know nothing about it right, hahahahahaha, excellent

The time to round all the AIPAC-soaked graft coils is now!

Funny he was all over the Jefferson case and just laughing like crazy, not paying much attention to the Graft patrol comin for him!

I had saw the documentary about Walmart and gotten the DVD of the movie.. Very good movie.. But the movie about DeLay is not in his favor.. The Hammer is nailed in that movie.. Well well, looks like he took more than a few dollar bills from Jack Abramoff boys and girls!!!!

"Abramoff firm gave $50,000 more to GOP congressional campaigns seven months after visits

Eleven million dollars can buy a lot of access in Washington. Especially if your lobbyist is Jack Abramoff.

Take Beningo Fitial, the current governor of the Northern Marianas Islands, a U.S. territory in the Pacific. He and his company, along with their trade lobby and funds doled out by the islands at his prodding, spent $11.5 million dollars lobbying Washington between 1995 and 2002. Now he says he wants his money back -- but he continues to maintain that Abramoff protected his island's interests.

Fitial—who became Speaker of the Marianas House after a coup organized by Abramoff’s associates and former aides of House Majority Leader Tom DeLay—was treated like a king.

In January 2001, Fitial enjoyed the inauguration of President George W. Bush.

Three months later, in April, Fitial met Bush a second time. He also met then-Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott (R-MS). Then he stopped in for visit with Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert (R-IL).

Fitial with Tom DeLay and Conrad BurnsIn other words—Abramoff seems to have arranged for a non-head of state for a tiny island in the Pacific to meet with the three most powerful men in the United States of America. But that’s not all: Fitial also met with then-Majority Whip Tom DeLay (R-TX) and Senate Interior Department Appropriations Chairman Conrad Burns (R-MT). Fitial appears in photographs with Burns and Delay -- enlarged from tiny thumbnails in his hometown paper -- at left.

That, it seems -- along with a spate of legislative victories keeping the islands from U.S. jurisdiction -- is the value of $11 million dollars. Fitial, not surprisingly, has not been terribly critical of Abramoff since he pled guilty to myriad criminal charges, including fraud, tax evasion and bribing members of Congress.

Six months after his visit to Capitol Hill, Fitial’s family’s companies donated $50,000 to the National Senatorial Campaign Committee.

The following month, Abramoff’s firm, at the direction of former press secretary to House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-TX) Michael Scanlon, doled out $50,000 to the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee. The Los Angeles Times reported last year that Scanlon secured Fitial's election by promising U.S. tax dollars as "bartering chips."

Fitial also chaired the islands' campaign to raise money for President Bush’s election. The AP reported last May that records show Abramoff’s Marianas lobbying team met members of the Bush Administration at least 195 times between February through November 2001.

A month before Bush was photographed with Fitial, he appointed Patrick Pizzella, a former Abramoff lieutenant, as Deputy Undersecretary of Labor. Pizzella worked the Marianas account with Abramoff; according to the New Republic, the former conservative lobbyist handpicked Pizzella for his Marianas lobbying team.

Another photo of Fitial and Bush, discovered by Raw StoryAsked about his meeting with Bush, Fitial told his local newspaper the Saipan Tribune, "This was a great opportunity to raise the CNMI's (Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands) concerns to the president directly. Indeed, when the President discussed our military's readiness, I made it clear to him that the people of the CNMI support the military's presence and exercises in the Northern Mariana Islands."

“The president,” Fitial added, “said he was very pleased to know that the CNMI is supporting the military's presence in the islands."

Fitial also said he was pleased most by the fact that Lott recalled their meeting in a previous year. He said, "I think our efforts in Washington will continue to pay off for the CNMI people.”"

Now that's no innocent mistake, and Porkrind was involved too!! Ho ho 11 million dollars can buy alot of hookers from AIPAC, the ATC, and the Bahamas!

$50,000 in loose bribes! Looks like we know who was taking the kitchen money ;)

There are WAY too many crooks, too much unaccounted for money, too many lies - this Administration has hijacked this country AND its values.

I have NO faith in the Administration however I do have complete faith so far in our legal system, particularly since Bushie so far hasn't been able to corrupt the Federal GJ system.

Going out on a non-legal limb here, I believe there IS a sealed indictment and I believe there is fast talking and negotiating like crazy. I believe sealed indictments can be carrots on sticks and I honestly do not see Libby rolling over for Rover and Cheney.

In order to believe that this is still MY country, I will continue to trust in the Fitzgerald Team. I believe he is one of the best chances that we have to bring this filthy slimy Administration to its knees.

And in order to do this, the jury system will take its time and do its job. Again, I have always said, on ITS time.

Considering what Ken Starr had to work with, Fitz should bring home the gold ring.

While they won't vote against a republican, they will stay away from the polls, many of them. These people are sheep - with no actual individual ability to process information and only do what they are told to do.

I think they've pretty much decided the Dems will take back the house..then it's a road to Impeachment.

Let's hope they hid all the money really much better than it seems because this Administration is going to be investigated, one way or the other - history will tear Bush to shreds.

During a private meeting in San Francisco last week, former Rep. Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.) expressed doubt that Democrats will win control of the House this fall, according to knowledgeable sources.

Gephardt’s remarks about the upcoming election, delivered to a group of investment analysts last Tuesday in the district of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), run counter to the predictions of some of his former colleagues who now occupy powerful positions in the Democratic leadership.

During a lunch sponsored by the Gerson Lehrman investment-consulting firm at the Omni Hotel, the 2004 presidential candidate and House minority leader from 1995 to 2003 said the lack of competitive races and gerrymandered districts could help House Republicans retain a narrower majority in the next Congress, the sources said.

I feel a good housecleaning is needed in this country - along with a breath of fresh air. We are mired in the dirt and muck with the filth in Washington.

Who is harassing who? I just love posting on the Faux Fitzgerald blog and I get labeled a Troll. You really know how to hurt a person. My intelligence has been questioned and the name calling continues. All I want to do is counter the idiocy that is passed off as truth on this Faux blog. Plus I was invited here.

If you think juvenile playground tactics phase me you really don't know who you are dealing with. I have been ridiculed by pros and I came out smelling like a rose. It actually only encourages me. You will notice that I don't need to use childish slurs to get my point across.

If it was a "faux blog" you wouldn't still be here probably with Dr. Evil and whoever else posting your crap.

This is not a blog to defend the administration or put a bunch of comments that boost the neocons!

This is not a blog for losers and crazies, tell them all Biloxi....

I bet Fitzgerald knows exactly what to do with this and is already ready ;)

And as for smelling like a rose- I bet you smell like s***!

Believe what you want but the link to this site was posted by one of your loyalist and invited everyone to check out what the "chosen" were saying about the CIA Leak case.

By the way, the next time I call Mr. Fitzgerald's office patch me through to him so he can tell me that I'm not welcome here.

No, nobody needs to bother with that.

I apologize profusely Jackie, Biloxi, all.

In fact to dr. anonymous, you can just consider yourself charged with harrassment.

They aren't going to waste their time on anything else and are most likely going to block the number.

Please, nobody pay attention or feed the angry trolls. We all deal with enough these days.

Don't even refer it to anyone just log their numbers, forget it.

We need to make sure that the legal process is wrapped up here properly, as right now Fitzgerald has a small staff and is away for most of today on vital paperwork.

You know if you Anon's are going to play this bit you could at least make up different names for yourself- or at least for your different personalities. Be original.

A good court battle would get us to the bottom of things for sure. In the words of George Bush, "Bring it on".

Really Jan.

In fact, I am unsure of what the purpose is? Did any of them flunk high school?

Where's the proof of harrassment, how many times has anyone called them or bothered anyone?

How many times has anyone actually called or threatened them?

Its a public blog, not a courtroom. There's no proof of anyone being after the anonymous whoevers.

Obviously they are the ones who have been interrupting everyone, breaking into office conversation, flooding the phonelines. Who knows what else.

We just all have no interest in hearing anymore about it.

"Plus I was invited here".

That's Dr.Evil alright.

So Doc actually called Fitzgeralds office repeatedly like he "threatened" to do before he startd commenting anonymously.

He said earlier today that people were chuckling in the background as he got a denial from Fitz.

This just too funny!

Doc! Get a life dude!

You got that right Roger, it's just a friggin' blog. A faux one at that. I'd welcome a court battle then we could really get to the bottom of things and see who has been a threat to whom.

I didn't hear anyone chuckling. I actually detected a note of surprise in the ladies voice and she didn't hesitate to let me know it wasn't Fitzgerald's blog. She wasn't on a speaker phone either. She was not laughing.
