Can We Be More Vague..?

How many times recently have you heard or read the following:
“We are not talking about any aspect of this case and our office is not commenting on anything regarding the investigation at this time.” - Randall Sanborn.
Frustrating, yes? Recognizing the high level of interest in several of my high profile cases and personal life I have sent Randall a memo marked "urgent" that will give him much more leeway in answering any and all questions from the press and general public.
APPROVED ANSWERS:
* Cannot predict right now * It is certain * Better not tell you now * Concentrate and ask again *Yes, definitely * Don't count on it * As I see it, yes * Without a doubt * Reply hazy, try again * My reply is no * My sources say no * You can rely on it * It is decidely so * Libby is guilty as sin * Leviticus 5:5 * Sec. Rice and the very Special Prosecutor are only friends * What blog? *
PENDING:
* Rove is guilty as sin * Cheney is guilty as sin * Pray for President Bush * Jason Leopold used a wiretap * They are registered at Crate and Barrel * Oh, that blog *

I know that Randall's statement may sound ambigious to the public and to the bloggers. The public and the bloggers want straight answers. But, when we are dealing with a case of a WH conspiracy and leaking classified informattion to reporters, you have to expect the fact that the case has to be conducted in secret.. From the transcript from Fitzgerald's press conference on October 28, 2005, Fitzgerald says about the leak case:

"I believe it should be conducted in secret, not only it was required by those rules but because the rules were wise. Those rules protect all of us."

No target letters and no indictments for Rove. It doesn't get much better than this. The case against Rove is much ado about nothing. Rove is the Man!

Yeah, it like the troll goes asleep for a while and becomes awake again ready to attack. Sort of like wart!!!

This is interesting from Talkleft.com.. Other media are now taking notice to Leopold:

From Talk left.com

"The media also seems to be letting up on the attacks on Jason Leopold. Keith Olbermann on Countdown last night noted (as I did yesterday morning) that Jason Leopold beat the the New York Daily News by two months in reporting about Robert Grenier's connection to the Scooter Libby case. Jason's article was written March 18, the day after Libby's lawyers revealed it in a pleading.
Keith said:
Internet reporting is not yet an accepted form of journalism, nor is it yet an oxymoron. So the following two developments could be unconnected. More than a week ago, a Web-based writer reported of the imminent indictment of Karl Rove in Plamegate. Obviously that has not happened.
But more than two months ago, the same writer reported that Scooter Libby had discussed Valerie Plame in June 2003 with two CIA officials, including the man the agency would fire as its chief counterterrorism officer. Our fifth story on the COUNTDOWN, today's "New York Daily News" reported that Scooter Libby had discussed Valerie Plame in June 2003 with two CIA officials, including the man the agency would fire as its chief counterterrorism officer."

The New York Daily News reports really silenced the naysayers on Leopold!

Desperate people do desperate things:

From Thinkprogress:

Desperate for Supporters, DeLay Turns to Stephen Colbert

A good sign that Tom DeLay doesn’t have the facts on his side: the top source for his latest defense against his critics is Stephen Colbert.
This morning, DeLay’s legal defense fund sent out a mass email criticizing the movie “The Big Buy: Tom DeLay’s Stolen Congress,” by “Outfoxed” creator Robert Greenwald.
The email features a “one-pager on the truth behind Liberal Hollywood’s the Big Buy,” and the lead item is Colbert’s interview with Greenwald on Comedy Central (where Colbert plays a faux-conservative, O’Reilly-esque character).

'Hillary for president' rally draws 20 instead of hoped-for 200

Published: Wednesday, 05/24/06

A Hillary Clinton rally drew critics of President Bush, nonpartisan voters looking for a strong leader, and people who want to elect a female president.

About 20 people attended the Tuesday event, the national kickoff for Hillarynow.com, a grass-roots group pushing to draft the New York senator and former first lady to run for president in 2008.

Here is the developing story on Raw Story about the leak case. Here are the excerpts:

Prosecutors say silence in CIA leak case may signal Rove indictment coming

MSNBC's coverage of the CIA leak case continued Wednesday with new suggestions that presidential adviser Karl Rove may yet be indicted. The indictment of 'Bush's Brain' seemed imminent after reports from MSNBC and the Washington Post indicating that the Rove camp expected a decision earlier this month -- but it has now been 28 days since Rove testified for a fifth time before the grand jury investigating the outing of CIA officer Valerie Plame.
MSNBC's David Shuster says former federal prosecutors believe the silence from Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald doesn't bode well for Rove.

"Fitzgerald's office refuses to comment," Shuster said. "But former federal prosecutors describe the following procedure when considering an indictment: First, a prosecution team would review the evidence. Then, they would examine case law on the relevant criminal statutes. And finally, the prosecutors would decide whether a reasonable jury would convict at trial."

Maybe Fitz's staff is spending too much time on this blog and not doing the work of the "people". Seems to me that is something worth investigating. Maybe silence on that topic means it is being investigated as we speak. You never know what a "troll" is up to until one day he/she just lays it all on the line.

Roger,

Robert Greenwald's movie about DeLay is very good. I am on Greenwald's distribution list of his upcoming movies.. So, he emailed a short clipping of the movie.. I know thae there was preview of that movie this month and he will be having free screenings of the movie coming to a state near you in June... I had saw the documentary about Walmart and gotten the DVD of the movie.. Very good movie.. But the movie about DeLay is not in his favor.. The Hammer is nailed in that movie.. The director asked on email any suggestions of his next movie project. I told him that he should make a documentary of the leak case in the near future when this case is over....

There are WAY too many crooks, too much unaccounted for money, too many lies - this Administration has hijacked this country AND its values.

I have NO faith in the Administration however I do have complete faith so far in our legal system, particularly since Bushie so far hasn't been able to corrupt the Federal GJ system.

Going out on a non-legal limb here, I believe there IS a sealed indictment and I believe there is fast talking and negotiating like crazy. I believe sealed indictments can be carrots on sticks and I honestly do not see Libby rolling over for Rover and Cheney.

In order to believe that this is still MY country, I will continue to trust in the Fitzgerald Team. I believe he is one of the best chances that we have to bring this filthy slimy Administration to its knees.

And in order to do this, the jury system will take its time and do its job. Again, I have always said, on ITS time.

Considering what Ken Starr had to work with, Fitz should bring home the gold ring.

As for the rest of the slugs in Washington, they are not off the hook. You may complain but the blogs are very representative of how angry people are.

Election is November - I believe the Rethugs will stay away. He's also really pissed off his conservative base - there are so many many people sick of all of this. While they won't vote against a republican, they will stay away from the polls, many of them. These people are sheep - with no actual individual ability to process information and only do what they are told to do.

I think they've pretty much decided the Dems will take back the house..then it's a road to Impeachment.

Let's hope they hid all the money really much better than it seems because this Administration is going to be investigated, one way or the other - history will tear Bush to shreds.

Re the 2008 election, that is not so far being thought about by me. The Congress needs a wakeup call way before 2008 - I hope it happens.

During a private meeting in San Francisco last week, former Rep. Dick Gephardt (D-Mo.) expressed doubt that Democrats will win control of the House this fall, according to knowledgeable sources.

Gephardt’s remarks about the upcoming election, delivered to a group of investment analysts last Tuesday in the district of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), run counter to the predictions of some of his former colleagues who now occupy powerful positions in the Democratic leadership.

During a lunch sponsored by the Gerson Lehrman investment-consulting firm at the Omni Hotel, the 2004 presidential candidate and House minority leader from 1995 to 2003 said the lack of competitive races and gerrymandered districts could help House Republicans retain a narrower majority in the next Congress, the sources said.

What matters is the election. What matters is people who care, voting.

With an approval rating lower than Bush, Congress is in deep trouble. And it's hard to run for office if you're in jail or waiting for trial.

All we can do is vote, as individuals. To rid this country of this scourge of fat, money-grubbing morons who drink at the trough of the financial dollar for themselves.

They all should be horsewhipped and hung...all of them! Vote all the incumbents out and then HANG THEM.

And Bush should be tried at the Hague for war crimes and hung or shot. He is a blot on the armpit of humanity.
