The Devil Went Down To Georgia...

He was looking for a soul to steal
And he was in a bind
'Cause he was way behind
And was willin' to make a deal...

AND the second coming of J.C.

You are either talking about Ralph Reed and his dealings with Abramoff or someone in the Plame case has decided to cut a deal. I sure hope it's the latter!!

Pug from FLATBUSH---Watching POTUS behind Rev Lowery at the podium , slinking in his chair, along with his wifes stare reminded me of the song
"Nowhere to Run--no where to hide" --just fake a smile while you squirm inside."

He sure didnt look to comfortable.

Sounds like somebody's cutting a deal....

If that's it, god damn about time.....because now Karl Rove needs to go down for conspiracy as this winds down!

Jack Abramoff caught pants down in the White House, scandal now focused there

Finally...

While Karl Rove went out to play with no idea whats going on, all the republicans smelled blood in water....its time to save our jobs

That's all those guys are thinking of, course. Save their own asses from being torched as the indictments come down and we have legal remedy via impeachment....there is no other recourse for a George W. Orwell wiretapping everybody....

But I believe Dick Cheney should be the one to fall....he's the one who caretaked the program....hes the mastermind.

I thought the devil was Bush as he went down to Georgia ya and he was looking for souls aka votes to steal. We still have alot of work to do. But we have a stronger team then they did in the 60's. Oh Grandmanuk thanks for the message I did get to see Mrs. Kings funeral on TV. Mrs. King will be remembered as a strong peace maker.

Reeds' salad days are most likely over...
-----------------------------------
One of the most damaging e-mails was sent by Abramoff to partner Michael Scanlon, complaining about Reed's billing practices and expenditure claims: "He is a bad version of us! No more money for him."

Yes, the devil came down to Georgia for sure. As the lyrics goes to song in relation to Bush:

"The devil bowed his head
Because he knew that he'd been beat,
And he laid that golden fiddle
On the ground at Johnny's feet
Johnny said, "Devil, just come on back
if you ever wanna try again"

And Bush bowed his head to Jimmy Carter (of course, in embarassment) and was on the ground to Rev. Lowery!

On of one of Fitz's postings, I had said that I would followup with fellow bloggers concerning companies ending pension plans. You can now add GM. I read this on WSJ:

Calling for Patrick Fitzgerald maybe??? They are looking for a special prosecutor in this case. You know, there will more special prosecutors to all of Bush's blunders that the DOJ will be pretty busy and the DOJ certainly need a BUDGET for this (including extra pocket change for Krispy Kreme donuts)!:

Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), the feisty septuagenarian congressman who serves as the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee will issue yet another missive to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales later this week calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate possible criminal misconduct in regard to the Bush Administration's march to war in Iraq.

Just four other Democrats have signed Conyers' letter: Reps. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY) Mike Honda (D_CA) and Jim McDermott (D-WA) and Susan Davis (D-CA,) along with Bernie Sanders(I-VT).

Look on Raw Story website!

Found this is the Biloxi goodie bag: Jack Abramoff/Bush relationship found on emails. Sorry, Dubya, you cannot deny the relationship with Jack. Emails can never erased:

And isn't that the truth, Grandmanuk.

Far as I'm concerned, Biloxi...

The special prosecutor ought to be McNulty or Berkowitz who handles this NSA case. They can wear two hats. Fitzgerald and Margoliz have the cream of the crop in their DOJ now, so we should make sure one of them handles the case.

And that will ensure absolute integrity to the investigation of Gonzales' many, many freaking lies that almost no one in congress is asking about.

Anon,

Thanks for the information. Should there be a special prosecutor for investigating criminal conduct regarding the war in Iraq, I agree with you. McNulty and/or Berkowitz would be good candidates. BTW, I have been keeping up with the Enron trial. Best of luck to Berkowitz and company. Yes, we do need someone to give us some answers. You are right. Congress has done nothing for us but treated the US dollar like an open pocketbook. They are too busy frisbeeing out money to the mangler-in-chief. They are acting too much like thumbsuckers!!!!

Grandmanuk,

I wouldn't be too sure about our current AG making a decision on appointing a Special Prosecutor. Ashcroft who was the ex-AG, appointed Fitz. But, he had no idea how smart of a man Fitz is for the position. As far as Gonzo, Senator Feingold who is an attorney is trying to determine whether Gonzo lied under oath at Gonzo's confirmation hearing and whether there is contradiction to Gonzo's current hearing regarding the domestic spying. Right now, Gonzales' integrity to make a right decision for a special prosecutor at this point is in serious stake! If and when Feingold finds that Gonzo lied, Gonzo would not be the person to make that decision. I hope that Feingold finds that loop hole!

They have Gonzo trapped in his lie if they will put the foot down.
