Who Is This Helen Thomas..?
Helen and Scott went head to head today over the warrentless domestic spy program.
Q: Does the president think he should obey the law? He put his hand on the Bible twice to uphold the Constitution. Wiretapping is not legal under the circumstances without a warrant.
MR. MCCLELLAN: Well, I guess you didn't pay attention to the attorney general's hearing earlier today, because he walked through very clearly the rationale behind this program.
Q There is no rationale --
MR. MCCLELLAN: And Helen, I think you have to ask --
Q -- (inaudible) -- the law.
MR. MCCLELLAN: I think you have ask are we -- well, he's not -- are we a nation at war.
Q That's not the question.
MR. MCCLELLAN: No, that is the issue here.
Q The question is, the point is, there are means for him to go to -- get a warrant to spy on people.
MR. MCCLELLAN: Enemy surveillance is critical to waging and winning war. It's one of the traditional tools of war.
Q But he says he doesn't have running room --
MR. MCCLELLAN: The attorney general outlined very clearly today how previous administrations have used the same authority --
Q That doesn't make it legal.
MR. MCCLELLAN: -- and cited the same -- and cited the very same authority.
Q (Inaudible) -- they broke the law, that's too bad.
MR. MCCLELLAN: And we're going to continue doing everything we can --
Q You know what happened to Nixon when he broke the law.
MR. MCCLELLAN: -- within our power to protect the American people.
This is a very different circumstance, and you know that.

That line of questioning reads like sedition to this reader. Tell the NSA to up the surveillance on this one.
Well, I can tell you who Helen Thomas is. She is a woman with spunk! Other than David Gregory, senior White House reporter for NBC, we need more reporters like her to step up to the plate and call a spade a spade. She certainly made Scott McClellan look like a wuss. Go Helen go!
When Helen Thomas and David Gregory go after Scott McClellan at these Press conferences it can be hilarious. She and David Gregory ARE the only Press with real backbone.
That was good. Maybe others will stand up and speak for justice. I'm glad I paid attention during the Nixon hearings, it makes it easier to understand their following the same plan but just a little updated. The only diffence is the world is watching as we distroy ourselves with King George rule. Bluewild we're living history for the second time only the names have changed.
I think on or two occasions over the years Helen won Bob Woodward's balls in a poker game.
Scott McClellan has become a little windup doll, over and over, repeating what has been programmed into him. He can't remember the last time he had an original thought.
Helen Thomas rules! Even Arlen Spector says they broke the law. This Admin has no choice right now but to bully their way through the facts and hope for delays.

Helen Thomas is the the spinal cord in the gelatinous backbone that is the Press Corps. She's trying to represent for the body of the American people but she's getting little, if any, support.
