There's A Bad Moon On The Rise...

Scooter and V.P.'s Unkosher Pickle
FBI Agent: Dick Cheney Told Libby About Valerie Plame

After a long day or legal wrangling and no witnesses, an FBI agent took the stand shortly before 3 p.m. She is Deborah Bond, a 19-year veteran, called into the probe of who may have leaked name of classified agent.
She described the bureau's interview with I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby on Oct. 14, 2003. Asked where he first learned of Ambassador Joe Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, he had told the FBI then -- from the vice president, on or about June 12 that year, in a telephone conversation. Vice President Cheney had also said that she worked in "CP" or counter-proliferation at the agency. How did Cheney know this? <more>
Well done, Agent Bond.

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see earthquakes and lightnin.
I see bad times today.

Chorus:
Dont go around tonight,
Well, its bound to take your life,
Theres a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear rivers over flowing.
I hear the voice of rage and ruin.

Chorus
All right!

Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like were in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

Great job today Fitzie and Team America!!! Great arguments for Judge Reggie...You Rock!

Now tell us who this mystery witness from the DOJ is???

Also, Fitzie could you please ask Timmeh Russert why he hates Tweety Matthews so much? Is it his annoying laugh, his strange-colored hair color....what gives?

And we are looking forward to you howling at the moon tomorrow. Bring your Jameson. ;)

Fitz I told you the ladies would do great that's just a fact. Now the most interesting thing about today's trial was the fact that even Judge Walton doesn't believe Libby's defense. That's sad and about as low as you can go when you out right lie even in court. How's Randall holding up under this stress? Yes the Super Bowl is Sunday and thanks to Fitz will know who will win and it's not the Bears. Great job all of you are the real Super Bowl winner in the court.

So far the title of the Libby trial should read:

Libby tend to forget how to forget.

First, Libby throws Rove under the bus claiming that he is the scapegoat and that Rove is the one that needed to be portected. And now, Libby throws the reporters under the bus. In Libby's 2003 FBI interview, he said he had not mentioned Plame in his July 8 meeting with Miller -- or the lunch with Fleischer that Fleischer testified about earlier. This contradicts their testimonies. Yes, I know, I know, Wells claims in that first 2003 interview that Libby had not been given fair chance to refresh his memory via notes etc. Yeah yeah yeah. But then, Libby told other reporters who might not know about it, including Glenn Kessler of The Washington Post and NBC's Andrea Mitchell. My question is if Libby said that all of the reporters "knew" about Plame, then how in the hell does he know beyond the reasonable doubt that Mitchell and Kessler might had known about Plame when he said that he heard Plame from Russert and acted at though Plame's name was new to him?

Hi Biloxi,

Well so far Smurf is throwing Smurf under the bus, way under. Even worse than Hastert was thrown..

That Gilligan Defense had no chance even with their pitiful GOP stacking of the Jury.

Even if the Jury forgets everything else, the Jury will remember the Credible FBI Agent who testified.

New Score is
Fitz: 216 Smurf: 3

What a rout, that defense case is flimsier than a mountain climbers rope being made out of pasta..

Oh sure that'll hold them up!

I don't know if anyone else was following the Mohammed Salah trial in Chicago, but a split verdict came in today with Salah acquitted on the more serious charge of racketeering and convicted on the "lesser" charge (sic Chicago Tribune) of obstruction of justice.

Well, the jurors won't forget Judy Miller's missing notes found the shopping bag because I haven't! LOL! They won't forget Fleischer's testimony as he look directly at the jurors. Of course, Fleischer was coached by his attorney. Smart move. Finally, that note of the Veep and Irve and the chicken scratch cross out of Bush's name. Priceless.

Big win for Fitz and team:

WASHINGTON - A federal judge allowed Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald to play portions of White House briefing room videos Thursday at the perjury and obstruction trial of former vice presidential aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton said he would not permit Fitzgerald to play the entire tape, which includes a heated question-and-answer period that McClellan had with reporters. He said Fitzgerald could play the portions in which McClellan clears Libby and says anyone who leaked classified information would be fired.

I know that there was a big debate on this issue this morning. Glad it went into the favor of the prosecution. Cheers!

From FDL:

Evil Parallel Universe says:

Also, I think the whole discussion on “memory” yesterday misses what the jury will most likely focus on, which isn’t whether Miller or Cooper or any witness for that matter have perfect or even good memories, or how any witness “remembers,” and then will use their “memories” or “remembering” as a basis on which to judge Scooter. And the key point it misses is the IMPORTANCE to the person of what is being remembered. And there Scooter (and others, but not the witnesses) stands alone - its why he’s on trial. And that will be what the jury thinks about. And as support for that position, that is where the whole defense idea that Scooter was a busy man and the Wilson’s were not important to him comes from. (PS - If someone brought this up before, congrats)

The prosecution has done a very good job of showing it was important to Scooter, and that is what the jury will concentrate on (and among the reasons why he is toast).

And here is an imbecile candidate running for Prez that should be giving the Foot in the Mouth Award: Joe Biden.

Right-wing reacts to Biden’s comments on Obama. Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh: “He says Obama is a clean black guy. I look at Obama and I see a clean black guy. What’s so bad, what’s so wrong about what he said?” Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol: “I think it’s a very clever move by Senator Biden.”

And thanks to Bidenass, he allow the vultures like Rush Limballs come put like roaches to embrace negativity. Biden, stick to being a Senator! And I hope that Biden does not appear on Meet the Mess with Timmy and HardBalls with Tweety Piss Matthews. What a way for Biden to come out with idiot comments like that and expect to win votes! We need no more nimrods like the Gerbil as POTUS!

Well I hope so s-q but I seriously doubt it.

This Jury is GOP friendly remember so if they are dumbya-ites then the only thing they'll remember this weekend is how much more they can spend out of their tapped out credit cards..

Hey don't worry we're all gonna get raptured who needs to worry about paying it back right ?
