I hope you don't mind that I pilfered your "The Handwriting On The Wall" title for my blog post this morning. I couldn't have said it better! LOL

Can't log on to FDL. Is the server down? Too crowded? Did someone in the WH pull the plug?

Saint Brigid

P.S. FWIW: I was going to post this on the FDL Punch-Drunk Judy thread:

I was just reading an article on prisonplanet about US fostering chaos in Iraq by having rogue pilots shoot up Brit soldiers and just got a thought that hit me like a diamond bullet.

The whole Wilson-Plame WMD leak etc was a set up from the get go. Asking the CIA to verify yellow cake, knowing they would send Wilson, knowing they could leak Plame's identity (lucky strike extra--payback for Halliburton bust in 90s), knowing that would destroy credibility and contacts in NPD, all to get to Iran and generate even more chaos in ME.

I am now sick to my stomach.

Are they that smart? Am I giving them too much credit?

Also, clarify:
I don't mean smart, as in admirably smart. I mean smart as in evil, cunning smart.

Looking forward to more testimony and pillow talks from Judy.

In July of this year, Roberts frames the Plame outing as not really the outing of a covert agent.

"I must say from a common sense standpoint, driving back and forth to work to the CIA headquarters, I don't know if that really qualifies as being, you know, covert," he tells CNN.

But that approach does not poll well. Roberts instead shifts the focus to the investigation and the Republican special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald himself. "

On behalf of all decent Kansans I apologize to Americans, Iraqis, the Wilsons, and Mr. Fitz for the wimp, cover-up buttman Senator Pat Roberts. Wake up further, Kansans!

Judy I need my notes and still I can't remember.

Libby " I didn't do it"

Judy is lying through her teeth and the jurors know it. She has 30 years experience as a journalist but sound dysfunctional. Now would any editor want her to write for them after listening to her testimony? I guess Jason Epstein will have to hire her as she can't work for anyone else. It's good to have a husband that has his own. I wonder what the new york times thinks of their former super star reporter now. New York Times reporters can't remember who say what and don't even read their own paper. Why should anyone else.

Wonder if Roberts got a piece of this for his pay-off?

It will be interesting of the type of style of reporting from Cooper vs. Miller since Miller only rely on her "notes!"
