"And all 21 Republican senators up for reelection are going to have to explain how they brought down the most significant reform ever to come before this Congress. They brought this baby down."

If Republicans could not be on someone's payroll, they would not be a political party.

Political means "BEFORE THE INDICTMENTS."

Now, Pat, you and yer team need to write up the paperwork to have Alberto Gonzales committed immediately.

Hurry.

Unfortunately the administration of personal responsibility, doesn’t seem willing to accept the consequences of lying your face off for years. The consequences of which are naturally a loss of credibility.

Jurors shouldn’t have to swear that they consider any potential witness credible. Their duty is to be willing to evaluate the credibility of the witnesses when they give their evidence. If two witnesses stories don’t agree, then the juror has to make a judgement as to which witness (or witnesses) he/she finds credible.

It would be difficult for any conscious human who hasn’t spent the last decade in a spider hole next to Saddam’s to be unaware that Cheney and others in this administration of corruption might be considered credibility challenged.

Good post, makes sense to me!

Hopefully Judge Walton can see it this way...

Fitz seems to be trying a new strategy to include a whole new line of questions in his vior dire to preempt defense. Defense still gets its bite at the apple, but the ground has already been pre-seeded now with the previous questions and responses. Cognitive recency effect in effect.

I'd like to see exactly what Pach is talking about. What questions Fitz is asking, and what effect it is having...

"Senate Republicans scuttled broad legislation last night to curtail lobbyists' influence and tighten congressional ethics rules, refusing to let the bill pass without a vote on an unrelated measure that would give President Bush virtual line-item-veto power."

Man, this will bite them in the ass.. I wonder if this is all worth for the GOP to keep continuing doing blowjobs for the President.. It is beyond nauseating...

Q:

Well, The Gerbil has to aggressively execute his agenda since he knows that Pelosi and many if 110 Congress are not kiss asses.. I have to be really honest with you. The one that will be the fall guy in this mess will be Gonzo. And his ass will be gone from the Administration... And firing the U.S Attorney is more salt added to the womb. So, the Gerbil had to push the little bo weavel to do his dirty work.

Since it is lunch time at the court, here is some highlights that I picked up from the FDL that were interesting comments:

# 27

Pach The NYT piece on the case this morning suggested that Wells was able to get a couple of people in the jury pool who had security-linked jobs. My sense of this was that the article was giving a pro-Wells & Libby slant to the selection process so far. What is your take.
Also, how is it possible that there are so few blacks in the D.C. jury pool?

#43

theExile @ 40
I find it hard to believe that any random method of selecting jurors in Washington DC could come up with a jury pool that is two thirds white. Comparing this jury pool to the demographics of Washington DC, something doesn’t compute. Or maybe all the potential black jurors are eliminated in advance due to being incarcerated or convicted felons. Maybe someone could suggest some explanation for such a surprising jury pool racial makeup.
There are a hell of a lot of great citizen black women who live in D.C. and work in the government. Where are they on this list??

#127

Fitz is doing more up front with this witness to ask jurors about their ability to disregard any feelings they may have about the war. He’s doing preemptive work against the Libby Team line of voir dire. He seems a bit pissed off, actually. Terse is perhaps the right word.

Interesting comments from #27.. So far, there are talks with bloggers with few blacks being chosen as a juror. But, it doesn't matter what the make of race among the jurors, the Gerbil Administration is despised among all races and age group. This is too early for bloggers to have doom and gloom attitude of the makeup of the jury. It is too early in the game.. So, far from the site, 24 potential jurors are in and 11 were excused.. We shall see what happen in the second half of day three...

Sure, commit the crime on a taxpayer dime but its all OK if you are in the club. When someone does commit hundreds of crimes, they just toss someone like Libby out as sacrificial lamb.
based on the rulings he has made so far, the judge isn't making even handed decisions. Not liking the looks of that.

Walton is booked for tomorrow and if opening arguments are to open on Monday...Wells & gang had best get with the program and stop their nonsense!

Wells was making one potential Juror "promise" this and that...how ridiculous can he get?

In the interview Wednesday, Maliki said many American and Iraqi lives would have been spared if the Iraqi forces had been better equipped. But he did not elaborate on what he wanted in terms of weapons or materiel, or whether his needs exceeded what is proposed in the $1.5 billion military sales agreement Iraq reached with the United States last month. Under that deal, the Iraqi government will receive an additional 300 armored personnel carriers, 600 more "up-armored" Humvees, helicopters and other equipment this year, according to Maj. Gen. William B. Caldwell, a U.S. military spokesman in Iraq. Iraq's proposed 2007 budget devotes $7 billion to building up the armed forces.

Rawstory

I hope he spills every bit of truth that BushCo. has been covering up. If everything went fine and dandy from the get-go, Bush would still be invading countries and killing masses amounts of people or allowing them to be killed just like he's done since 9/11/01.

And when are Gonzales, Bush, Cheney, Rice and all those crooks going to quit hiding behind National Security ? America knows.

Maybe you all should do some deep research on ole Judge Walton since more info has become available. Hope he hasn't been bought and paid for by the cabal of corruption. Walton sure seems to have made decisions in many important cover-ups that has killed our fellow citizens along with babies in this country.

No surprise as the GOP is still receiving stolen money and some even abusing children. Please you don't believe Foley is the only pervert in the government. The public can see that the GOP has no ethics and will continue to commit crimes, corruption and sex abuse to children. This is the GOP's policy for the United States. To keep these evil acts going what they do is talk racism and gay bashing to keep Americans from dealing with their corruption. Yes they'll talk about the invasion, troops, Iran and anything but what their doing in office. Look for more children to be sexually abused by our elected officials. Yet you notice the man who kidnapped the two boys is on trial as our elected officials continue.

Things will change when Americans start thinking more about our troops and children's safety then believing the elected Satan followers we have in office.

Did that animal Bill O'Lielly really accuse that boy that kidnapped, most likely raped, brainwashed, manipulated and fouled in every possible way....of wanting to stay in his kidnapper's care? That the boy liked it?

Between O'Lielly speaking ill of this child, defending Foley and his lovely phone sex harassment of female employees, maybe he should be checked for crimes against children himself. Another Republican pedophile in plain sight?
