Huey And Scooter..?

I am not buying it...

Libby Still A Puzzle To Some Transparent To Others

"Both fans and critics of Libby might be surprised by some anecdotes from Yale, where Libby graduated in 1972. Fellow students recall his helping silkscreen T-shirts proclaiming "solidarity" between Yalies and the Black Panthers and going with shoulder-length blond hair and in a leather jacket to help at an anti-Vietnam War demonstration." <more>
Scooter in solidarity with Hippies, Yippies, Zippies and Black Panthers? Power to the People or CREEP (Segretti/Rove)/Hoover spy tactics.

Should I ask Karl and Scooter about their long history of dirty tricks..?

O.T.- friends at State dream on...

Kind of a sad article actually. A smart young activist is seduced by Wolfowitz into the dark side.

Then he leaves a $525 an hour job to potentially go to prison after being instrumental in creating phony reasons to go to war.

My google alerts are going crazy with this case...friends at State indeed. Probably the same one that felt the need to tell me women didn't interest Fitz heehee
Poor Fitz, you know they always try to dis a straight shooter

Agreed CJT, sad when a promising young activist goes to the dark side.

CREW is on the ball as usual, just received this.

Freedom of Information Act for all:

Now this is groundbreaking work by CREW:

"Starting today, you can help us review documents CREW receives from the government, and root out instances of illegal and unethical behavior. You can browse our collection of documents, send links to individual document pages to your friends, conduct searches of our document collection to find that needle in the haystack and more. By using the combined power of thousands of individual activists working together to review documents we can quickly tag and sort tens of thousands of pages, discover new information and make it all searchable for you, your friends and other activists."

Good morning. Interesting background article on Scooter. I noticed that everyone who spoke positive of Libby in the article felt sympathy for Libby. Isn't it tragic that most people can only feel empathy for their own peeps or only people they feel favorably about. Look at the last comment in the article by Paul Andersen:
"Later, it seemed like he was nursing some serious pain. It seemed a dreadful shame that circumstances can sometimes ruin lives."

That would be true if he were homeless, or a Katrina victim.I'm not saying it is not a shame about Libby. But he made bad choices. He allowed himself to be drawn into the War framing thing. Then he tried to cover for Cheney and got caught. The consequences of his actions ruined many people's lives.
I have heard wealthy people say the say that same thing about the homeless, the addicted or the poor.... They made bad choices.

"He's going to be the poster boy for the criminalization of politics, and he's not even political," said Mary Matalin, Cheney's former political adviser.

Not political ? Ms. Matlin is lying or doesn't have a clue . It's a predominately republican pervert club .

Maybe she's not on the booz network .....

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks!

Happy Wednesday!

Fitz,

That's cold! Libby and Huey Newton??? Bhwaaaaaah! Jackie was the entertainment last night on the blog and now you are today.. So, now Libby went from NAACP member to the Black Panther Party? I read a whole lot of books on the Black Panther Party years ago.. If Libby is deciding to go in the Huey Newton mode today, good luck.. I am waiting for him to say that he aided and abetted Angela Davis from the FBI since FBI was on the Most Wanted List in the 70's.. LOL!

Looking forward to day two....

Jackie LOL I like it:-D
From Democracy Now:

I mean, the Vice President -- what is being done here is, what we see being done is, we've seen ever since Watergate, presidents have learned that if they want to be above the law, if they want their aides to get away with doing things -- and we saw this in Iran-Contra -- what you do is you essentially hold out the pardon power for them. So Cheney is keeping Libby, you know, who is -- close to vest, because Libby is somebody who could testify against the Vice President. So the Vice President is keeping that relationship.

MURRAY WAAS:If you remember -- one of the interesting things about this, if you remember -- if people remember during Watergate, one of the impeachment charges was that Nixon raised millions of dollars in hush money for the Watergate burglars, to shut them up. Well, today, we have a mechanism where we don't have to do that. But in the case of Libby, he's raised $3 million. A friend of the President, a major fundraiser for President Bush, for Dick Cheney, for the Republican Party, a strip mall developer in Florida named Mel Sembler has raised millions of dollars. So if you're a guy like Scooter Libby --

AMY GOODMAN: For Scooter Libby's defense?

MURRAY WAAS: Yeah, for Scooter Libby’s defense. If press reports are right, it's $3 million. The guy who’s in charge of that fund, who’s raised a good part of it, is a former ambassador, key Republican Party, you know, fundraiser. So, instead -- you know, if President Nixon goes out, for example, and raises money under the table, that's illegal. But what’s done nowadays is that people like Scooter Libby are taken care of.

What do you think gang? will Fitz convict only to have dubya grant thee a pardon?
