On the January 17 edition of Fox News' Special Report, host and Washington bureau managing editor Brit Hume asserted as fact that Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby was "not responsible" for leaking the information that Valerie Plame was a CIA officer. However, Libby's indictment does allege that he discussed Plame's CIA employment with then-New York Times reporter Judith Miller before Plame's employment was publicly revealed by Robert Novak in a July 14, 2003, column. And, after sitting in jail for 85 days, Miller herself identified Libby as her source for the information on Plame. <more -video>

We'd like to thank Mr. Brit Hume for doing the Jurors' job in the Libby case so early in the case, but we regret to inform Mr. Hume that we cannot in good conscience give him that kind of power at this time.

Brit is now trying to get in the act. He's playing lawyer. The Bush journalist have no where to go but " Libby is not responisble for leaking Plames name", ok but he is GUILTY of lying to investigators and that's what he charged with. Cheney used the Nixon play book. Send many out to do the job of leaking the name thereby you can't find the first one. Most important you don't do it yourself send your appointees that way your safe. Fitz will never know who was the first to leak the name but the cover up is obvious. Now the jurors have only one job did this highly intelligent lawyer lie to investigators or did he forget the words I don't remember. Libby should have asked for a lawyer before being questioned. Most people need legal representation. To much is being made of liking or disliking Bush/Cheney. A person can dislike what job the person does without disliking the person. As this trial continues Americans will see more horror from Iraq. The world leaders are moving away from US Policy. We know Bush and Cheney lied about Iraq and everything else. To bad Libby's attorneys have to change the subject from lying to Iraq to try and trick the jurors. Judge Walton has his hands full.
