Have A Great Labor Day Weekend...

"Remember, on Labor Day thank thee hired help!" - William Shakespeares and George W. Bush

"Labor Day differs in every essential way from the other holidays of the year in any country," said Samuel Gompers, founder and longtime president of the American Federation of Labor. "All other holidays are in a more or less degree connected with conflicts and battles of man's prowess over man, of strife and discord for greed and power, of glories achieved by one nation over another. Labor Day...is devoted to no man, living or dead, to no sect, race, or nation."

"Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."

"The vital force of labor added materially to the highest standard of living and the greatest production the world has ever known and has brought us closer to the realization of our traditional ideals of economic and political democracy. It is appropriate, therefore, that the nation pay tribute on Labor Day to the creator of so much of the nation's strength, freedom, and leadership — the American worker." <more from U.S. DOL>

"Many believe Labor Day focuses on labor unions. However, the fact of the matter is that according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, only 13 percent of the nation's construction workers currently choose to join a labor union, while 87 percent work in a merit shop, free-enterprise setting." (and make $8 an hour with no health insurance or benefits)

"So this Labor Day, let's remember to thank all the construction professionals, regardless of labor affiliation, whose hard work building America each day improves all of our lives."

Muchas gracias, amigos and Wal-Mart employees (with a special shout out to the new locals being formed in Beijing)

Hello GEF!

I hope you enjoy yourself this three day weekend and behave yourself... The real block party for all of the American people and the blogger is when we can all celebrate The GERBIL BLOCK PARTY weekend. That event is where we kick the Gerbil off his royal throne for good called impeachment.. Now , that would be a real party to celebrate...

"Happiness is prevailing and everyone is laughing hard at floating jokes about where we're gonna send the gerbil next year..."

And is going to be one hell of a best selling book to whomever writes the Gerbilspeak novel... Despite the despair that we are dealing with, you have to admit the Gerbil's talks has had all of us rolling on the floor. Let's not forget Cheney's dozing off at meetings!!! LOL!

The GERBIL BLOCK PARTY weekend.

That gerbil block party will be the mother of all parties as we close the book on America's worst leader...

You should see the folks here, some guy's wife took her top off and said that the gerbil wouldn't know a good woman if he stepped on her breasts.

The husband is covering her and apologising to the crowd...

...everyone is busy laughing and indifferent doing their own thing!

..man that BBQ smoke is getting dense...

I wonder where's that Fire Dept dude I saw earlier ?

*ROFLMAO*

Truth always has a way of coming out in the end.

Not the actions of the "innocent", probably why people are not falling for that country's leaders' lies anymore either.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Prayers for the innocent that died or are dying because of 9/11. May the real murderers/crooks burn in hell.
Beware of false flags everywhere. Desperate crooks and guilty people do desperate things.

Merkel trumps Rice on power list

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has overtaken US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice as the world's most powerful woman, says Forbes magazine.
Power changed hands after a two-year reign by Ms Rice, who came second in this year's top 100 list.

Night Owl,

Girlfriday should be summoned to cheap ass shoes. She is an absolute disgrace as a person to go shoe shopping in NY and watch the Katrina victims on TV which were majority African-Americans plead for help and she did nothing.. Instead of money, I summon Shug to food stamps for life.. Let her know how the other side of her world lives. I don't condemn people like her that move up in life and want a better life. But, it is forgetting where you came from is my concern!
