Now Joe Wilson Is The Bad Guy..!

End of an Affair

It turns out that the person who exposed CIA agent Valerie Plame was not out to punish her husband.

"Nevertheless, it now appears that the person most responsible for the end of Ms. Plame's CIA career is Mr. Wilson. Mr. Wilson chose to go public with an explosive charge, claiming -- falsely, as it turned out -- that he had debunked reports of Iraqi uranium-shopping in Niger and that his report had circulated to senior administration officials. He ought to have expected that both those officials and journalists such as Mr. Novak would ask why a retired ambassador would have been sent on such a mission and that the answer would point to his wife. He diverted responsibility from himself and his false charges by claiming that President Bush's closest aides had engaged in an illegal conspiracy. It's unfortunate that so many people took him seriously." <more>

I guess Joe Wilson suffers from Candaulism. Too bad Ben Bradlee doesn't! ;)

Case closed.

I am going golfing!

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks!

TGIF!

And now the latest posting is that the outing of Ms. Wilson was not to punish Mr. Wilson.. If that was the case, that why go through all the trouble to appoint a Special Prosecutor in this case.. Why waste the public's time and money in this case.. The media has so much spin in this case and the media has just became a yawn to me... Maybe bloggers should replace the journalists and the media because they have more sense than the media and journalists... The media are now looking like nimrods....

This case is more then what we see.
Most of the information isn't released to the public. As for Mr. Wilson being the bad guy well we don't have to think back to far. The GOP painted Clinton as a bad guy for having an affair. Yet every President has had and affair even the current one. But Mr. Wilson had information that contradicted the Bush push for invading Iraq. Wilson was in the way, now Armitage is a big mouth but Novak had to confirm the leak. Others were given the same information before the leak was declassified. All this a mistake I don't think so. Why would the White House lie for Armitage. Why did Libby say his boss told him what to do. If only these idiots had planned for Armitage to take the fall at the beginning maybe they would have gotten away with to but now it's to late.

All of this CYA activity leading to Armitage just makes it appear all the more that our bad guys have some really bad stuff to cover up and they're getting worried about it.
About the 'flat daddies", I heard an interview on NPR yesterday as I was driving home; the inerviewee mentioned taking her "flat chap" (chaplain) everywhere she went. Weird. But I used to have one of those movie theatre cardboard props from the film "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid", my lifesized "flat Steve", in my living room. I liked the fact that through my living room shades, I, a lone gal, appeared to always have a big gangster type fella in a fedora in my living room...
