Woodshed - 'Harry Taylor' Style...

Q - You never stop talking about freedom, and I appreciate that. But while I listen to you talk about freedom, I see you assert your right to tap my telephone, to arrest me and hold me without charges, to try to preclude me from breathing clean air and drinking clean water and eating safe food. If I were a woman, you'd like to restrict my opportunity to make a choice and decision about whether I can abort a pregnancy on my own behalf. You are --

THE PRESIDENT: I'm not your favorite guy. Go ahead. (Laughter and applause.) Go on, what's your question?

Q - Okay, I don't have a question. What I wanted to say to you is that I -- in my lifetime, I have never felt more ashamed of, nor more frightened by my leadership in Washington, including the presidency, by the Senate, and --

AUDIENCE ZOMBIES: Booo!

THE PRESIDENT: No, wait a sec -- let him speak.

Q - And I would hope -- I feel like despite your rhetoric, that compassion and common sense have been left far behind during your administration, and I would hope from time to time that you have the humility and the grace to be ashamed of yourself inside yourself. And I also want to say I really appreciate the courtesy of allowing me to speak what I'm saying to you right now. That is part of what this country is about.

THE PRESIDENT: It is, yes. (Applause.)

I say, way to go Mr. Taylor! I like his spirit. We need more Harry Taylors in this world to make United States stand tall! And Audience zombies? No, it is more like the "Stepford" audience!

Bush is arrogant. He's also patronizing this guy.

This guy has cajones. Don't we all wish that perhaps 20 of the 500 or so 'congress' had as much cajones of the pinky in this guy?!

The majority of audience was paid to attend by the Republicans, or had a mass lobotomy right before the speech.

Next?

In all seriousness, most that audience when they got, or will get, the news today will not be fazed one bit about Bush and Co. Does anyone think that DeLay etal had internal moral questions of knowingly breaking the laws? The means justify the ends with thee kinds... the defeat the Dems/Libs at all costs.

All's fair in love and the culture war.

WOW! The Propaganda Corps needs to resign-with perhaps four exceptions-the moment their fuhrer is either indicted or tenders his resignation. The remainder shame their profession in the same way Fox does.

I want to know who encouraged and paid these people to act in the stead of a malicious national socialist regime.

I want names. I want to make imagery reflecting my rage.

I'm telling you. That audience is "Stepford" or ,in plain term. paid audience by Gerbil and company. With this new finding of the Gerbil and much more, the "Stepford" audience who booed Mr. Taylor may find that missing wingnut from their brain and realize the Administration lied to them, and turn on the Gerbil!

Helen Thomas explains...

These are people who are vetted to make sure they agree with the president's views. If they pass that test, the local Republican Party or the groups sponsoring the event then issue tickets to the so-called "town meetings" or "conversations with the president."

Asked why the president speaks only to his supporters, White House press secretary Scott McClellan said Bush's intention is to "educate" the people. He probably meant "indoctrinate."

Harry Tayor is one of the greatest men in America today...He was so calm in his presentation of those thoughts that flowed like a river
that I hope starts a movement in this country to revitilize our hearts and souls..
He is truly one of our national treasures at this point...
I think he's the rebirth...

I wonder if anyone noticed the new Perestroika and/or openness recently from the White House?

Now this is from the most secretive White House, one that called Helen Thomas for the first time not too long ago?

Maybe these things were in a script as well as earlier, but asking questions only to a point where there would be a prepared response. After all Helen Thomas said she "made peace," and Bush complimented her gridiron appearance.

The hard questions can be answered, but only if there is no free exchange of dialogue, the "let me finish," rejoinder is there. The really difficult questions concurrent with documented internet reports even compiling back page MSM reports are absent, and cannot be answered. Please do your own research and don't believe me before you do.

Anyway this new Perestroika is better than nothing.
