Doctor, has your opinion of the GOP or President improved, declined or stayed the same? Be honest.

I am a registered Democrat and through all this my approval of BOTH parties has declined.

Polls are used only when there high if there low they mean nothing. Anyway who cares what the people think anyway. Bush said he would fire anyone who leak the name and now he saids it was him. Whats he going to do fire himself? Look Bush is the law and his base can break any law and he will pardon them. Now for the rest of Americans if you break the law you go to jail. I know the Rosenbergs wished they lived in these times and were friends of King George. That way they wouldn't be killed for leaking. I noticed you said more to come how much worse is it. Everyday more corruption comes to light. Are all the people with security clearences crooks and liars. Poor Dr. Death/Evil I mean is trying so hard to put some postive things during this mess. Oh Evil everything in Afgan is going as planned there are two Afgans. There side and ours just thought you'd want an up date not doctored by the government. The oil pipe line is going well.

Bushs' poll numbers will continue to plummet. His numbers will go lower than Nixon's when he resigned from office.
Those in denial, and you know who you are, this must be a big slap in the face!
Bush is now on his way into the DC
septic system.

Liebermann isn't a Democrat he just uses that title for voting in favor of what the Bush Administration wants. Why do you think he got such a big hug from Bush? Take a look at Lieberman's voting record it speaks volumes of support for the GOP. I think he's doing a great job for the GOP while fooling the Dems.

Support Bush or be part of the problem. Lets see stay on a sinking boat or get out and walk to safty? Keep following a person who is leading you to death or turn around go the other way and live. Well the American people have a choice. As for Republicans well I know some honest elected Republicans. We can't lable people not everyone just followed Bush down the path of corruption. Some Dems followed him others didn't. Maybe we should start judgeing people individually not based on their party? I guess thats called democarcy remember that was what we started this country with.

At a minimum, the filing indicates that the President and Vice President departed radically, and disturbingly, from long-set procedures with respect to classified documents - and that the Vice President, in particular, exceeded his declassification authority. And it may indicate that they, too, ought to be targets of the grand jury.

And by the time the Gerbil is history (or toss out from the WH), that poll will be 100% disapproved and 0% approved. We are not in 6 months this year, for goodness sake, and this President's poll numbers are like a basketball game at the end of a half. The Gerbil might use desperate measures and recruit dog, cats, hamsters, lizards, and all animals to be included in his next polls!

I think it is strange that 'Poppy' is out of sight and quiet in the last few months. The public's memories of the years gone by are being recalled which leads to more memories and people remember the common threads woven into history. They say truth is stranger then fiction. Maybe the truth has been here all along. It is time.

Contessa, I see "money" plays a prominent part of your loyalty to the GOP. I could care less if my tax rate was 10% or 50% as long as we got good and honest government.

It's nice to see people's comments that have different oponions still respect each other. I guess that called we can agree to disagree and still be friends. Our country was built on different oponions and the foundation is strong. We speak with passion and belief while respecting the same of others. Our democracy is what holes us together and makes us a great country. As I see it we're all in this together no matter what we think. I'm glad we don't dislike one another because we don't agree. I guess Fitz was right to let us expess how we feel and not judge each other.

Anon,

The reason that you have heard from Bush's father is because Daddy is trying to save his good name and reputation with his dynasty and business partners here and abroad. With his son's actions and scandals, this is not good for the father nor his son's legacy in the presidency. The Bush family holds honor, reputation, and legacy to the highest. And his son is not helping one bit. Notice the whole Bush family has been quiet!

Evil,

Glad that you are being blending in well with the fellow bloggers! Keep it up!

Just my point - to the GOP it is more about $$$$$$$, to others it is about freedom of speech, privacy, and honesty, etc.

I am torn on the immigration issues, since I live in Arizona and I think former fed would agree with me. We experience it more so here in AZ. We see 150 people living in one house without food, water, furniture, etc. They have only 2 bathrooms...they can't leave the house..the "coyotes" lock them in. These people are here trying to have a life better than what they had, and I am sure, Contessa, that is exactly why your parents came to America. Who are we, as Americans, to tell other people that they too, cannot enjoy a better life? They are coming into this country to work and they want to be citizens. Why not make them legal? I am sure the GOP sees the tax benefit.

And it look like Jeb is turning his back on Fitz' buddy Katherine Harris. From Americablog:

Jeb Bush publicly criticizes Katherine Harris' Senate race

"Republican Gov. Jeb Bush complained Thursday that Katherine Harris has made her struggling Senate campaign about herself instead of the record of the Democratic incumbent."

"I am the party leader. I've got concerns," the governor said in response to a reporter's question. "The campaign can't be about her. It has to be about Bill Nelson and the future of our state and so far, she asked my advice and I gave her that exact advice and it's gotten worse since."

Problems in paradise in Florida! No love between Jeb and Ms. Harris!

Contessa37 is right people came here for a better life and worked for everything they got. No one gave them all the things that people are getting today. She's right too they don't speak english. It's nice to here suggest stories and know that families pass on thier roots and stuggles and know their family history. You sound proud as you should be.
As an older American I remember how my family came to the US just not the same as yours. But things got much better for my family in 1964. I wish my family had come to America like yours. I can't honestly say I know exactly were my family lived before coming to America. But your family had to wait 15-20 years to become American citizens my family has to wait 188 years to become equal citizens. We're all proud of our successful history of this great country.

Blogger Suzie-Q (S-Q) said...

Agreed!

I simply said, we need a better way to bring them LEGALLY, rather for them to suffer in terrible situations. I did NOT say let them come in illegally.

Some of my ancestors were here before the white man came to take over America. Many walked the 'trail of tears' & many died in that walk. Some of my ancestors were first to come over on the Mayflower.
But, the bottom line is this, I am an AMERICAN and I LOVE MY COUNTRY.

The People are waking up and wresting their country back from aberrations calling themselves "patriots," who fraudulently display lapel pins that dishonor the meaning of our flag.

Their preemptive "war on terror" is still an overt anti-American act-still only an act of fascists, emperors, or premiers.

And this coup, this "war on terror" is just part of the PNAC scheme. Nothing more than the work of nationalist socialist grifters. It is a manefesto unsupported by logic and much more importantly, true Americans. It's designer (Fukiyama-sp) has recently made it clear the plan had no legs, that it failed the sniff test from the start.

The "war on terror" was an invention by pseudo intellectuals possessing a working pathology... a reckless grab-and-go mob op that threatens civilization on a global scale.

http://www.light-to-dark.com/neocon.html

The evidence supporting the Plan's criminality is so overwhelming-both quantitatively and qualitatively- that the links for it would encircle the globe.

Anyone -A_N_Y_O_N_E- inclined to specifically support PNAC implementers at this point is as much an enemy of the people as Bush himself.

I'm truly fascinated by these aberrations who would take on the facade of patriotism to push what they know to be untrue.

They know it will not require a trial to force Bush out. And no matter how much self-flagellation the aberrations express today, the president's final act shall be his unvarnished admission of guilt.

Now, take those flags off your F__k__g chest.

Fitz does read all the comments on this blog and I'm sure he will read yours. Yes there are simularities in both your family backgrounds as my me I'm just a reader. As you have noted my story of coming to America is very different much different. But so stories start off the same but go in different directions. Your success with what America has to offer might not have been the same for others. Some Americans worked years after for their American dream and others didn't get it but their children got a piece of it. As for my families American dream lets just say its still a work in progress.
