She is smart woman. And she is right on about the Armitage being a smoke screen. I read the same article in the London Times that confirmed Woodward's source as Hadley. I knew it! The three people in that secret meeting had a major role in the leak. Looking forward to hearing more of Larisa's articles in the Huffington Post.

Truthout.org need to keep a close eye on this story. Why I am not surprised that this company wants acquision of port operations: The Carlyle Group. And the Carlyle Group is connected in business with the entire Bush family.

Carlyle Group Explores Acquisition of Port Operations
By Ben Hammer
The Washington Business Journal
Friday 10 March 2006
Private equity firm
" The Carlyle Group established a team to acquire public-purpose facilities such as ports a day after a United Arab Emirates company said it would transfer newly acquired operations at American ports to a U.S. organization."

Yeah, SPB, Hadley is suspect because he is part of the Iraq group and there is something so sneaky about him. BTW, did you also look in the comments of that article and see comments by Fitz saying that Karl will soon be sterile because of the blanks he is shooting? Ha! Ha!

Jodi,

I saw Fitz's comments and laughed. Just sit back and wait when Fitz says "checkmate" to Rove. Fitz knows what is he is doing. He knows something that we don't know yet and Rove doesn't know yet either. Enjoy that chicken wing, Rove, because your goose is going to be cooked!

Folks,

Another person fron the Bush Administration is bailing out! Unfortunately, he is not on the list of 23 officials connected to the leak! Duh!

Key Bush Admin. Response Official Resigns
.

WASHINGTON - One of the Bush administration's principal advisers on bioterrorism and other public health emergencies has resigned.

Stewart Simonson, assistant secretary for public health emergency preparedness, told the president in a resignation letter Monday that he had accomplished what he had set out to do, and it was time to move on.

And in plain English: he is bailing out! Who else is next?

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks!

Happy Wednesday!

S-Q,

I will getting my free cup of coffee from Starbucks.

In the news:

This is followup story that I put on the blog about another person bailing out from the White House. You will not believe this man's background! From Thinkprogress.org:

"Stewart Simonson, the Bush administration’s “point man for just about every health emergency that may hit our shores, ranging from anthrax attacks to an avian flu pandemic,” has resigned. It’s about time: Simonson had “no background in medicine, public health, or bioterrorism preparedness.”

And there you have it. Another one bites the dust: a replica of Brownie. Where in the world does this nimrod of a President finds these people?

All,

More in the news:

1. Go Spitzer go! For those who have HR Block:

H&R BLOCK SUED FOR FRAUDULENT MARKETING OF IRAS
Tax Prep Service Failed to Properly Disclose Fees
Attorney General Eliot Spitzer today sued the nation’s largest tax preparation company for fraudulent marketing of individual retirement accounts (IRAs).

http://www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2006/mar/mar15a_06.html

2. Brace yourself bloggers and don't shoot the messenger! And don't laugh! Kenneth Lay is using the same strategy method in the Enron case as Hooter Libby is using in the CIA Leak case:

KEN LAY CLAIMS COCONUT FELL ON HEAD, CAUSING AMNESIA
"Controversial ‘Gilligan Defense’ Makes Debut at Enron Trial
In what many experts are calling a high stakes legal strategy, former Enron CEO Ken Lay testified at his trial today that a coconut fell on his head while he was running the Texas energy company, causing amnesia that wiped out all memory of anything that happened during his tenure there."

And there you have it, folks! The Gilligan defense strategy by Kenneth Lay. Absolutely hilarious!

Folks,

More Biloxi news. Great free coffee that I drinking from Starbucks!

1. Congressman Waxman writes White House: Did President knowingly sign law that didn't pass?

Waxman states that "Bush signed a version of the Budget Reconciliation Act that, in effect, did not pass the House of Representatives."

3. Thanks bloggers for speaking out against the President. Finally the media is listening:

Impeachment Talk Reaches the Mainstream
http://www.truthout.org/docs_2006/031506N.shtml

4. From Think Progress.org:

"The Bush administration "has rejected hurricane disaster-recovery loans at a higher rate than any other administration in the last 15 years." Katrina victims aren't taking the neglect sitting down. Yesterday, they joined Iraq war veterans in a march against the Bush administration." The people are speaking out!

(Sorry, Fitz, I know that you cannot stand Ann)"Ann Coulter advocates invading Iran and China."

"Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) says Bush's nominee to head the Federal Highway Administration could be "the Brownie of highways." Capka oversaw Boston's "Big Dig" highway project, which was criticized for massive cost overruns and lucrative severance packages for project lawyers."

%. Finally, Make sure that you see this show this Sunday or tape the show. From Americablog:

"Law & Order Criminal Intent" to take on the Abramoff scandal this Sunday

Ann Coulter is on Meth, that is why she is so psychotic and why she looks like a skeleton.
She and Tucker Carlson get on my nerves!
I don't know how Tucker Carlson got a show, because he sucks!
Never mind that he needs a new stylist, that stupid bow-tie and his hair, he looks like he just woke up. So pathetic.

2:24 PM
Blogger SP Biloxi said...

And I thought was the only person who couldn't stand Tucker Carlson's bow-tie. That's funny what you said about Carlson getting a new hair stylist. He looks like a 1970s reject. I forgot to add NY Times journalist David Brooks. Now, this guy is a piece of work. For the longest time, Brooks was pro-GOP, pro-Bush on all topics and anti-Democrats in every issue in his columns and on PBS show. And now, he decides now to talk about the GOP. So, I emailed to the spinless jelly fish Brooks two comments in a column that he wrote in the NY Times so time ago. And no joke, I received this standard email from him saying that due to high volume (which it bull because no one writes to him!) that he may be not answer and his emails are being montiored by his boss! I responded to him back and same message from him. Brooks is weak in the knees. Put him down on the list to be served his walking papers. BTW, I agree with you about Ann. Ann needs a meal real bad.

David Brooks is on the Chris Matthews Show alot.
He agrees with Tweety(Matthews) almost 100% of the time.
GOP whores both of them.

2:44 PM
Blogger SP Biloxi said...

Jodi,

I quit watching "Tweety" Matthews show after he made those stupid remarks about Michael Moore. I only read and watch journalists that will give me facts and not fluff. I know that Brooks had been on Matthews's show a lot. I just hated to see Brooks speak any topic.

Switching gears:

A new T.V reality show: The Rich and Famous Government contractors:
March 15th, 2006 1:44 pm
Companies that owe billions in back taxes get federal contracts
WASHINGTON —" Government contractors who owe millions of dollars in back taxes continue to get government contracts, a Senate subcommittee was told. Some contractors, while owing taxes, bought luxury cars, boats and multimillion-dollar properties."

3:08 PM
Blogger SP Biloxi said...

Ditto e! I enjoy his blog. I love it when Keith challenges O'Reilly.

Speaking of Tweety, this one is for you Jodi. Matthews has been busted big time:

"EXCLUSIVE: Matthews Received $35K In Speaking Fees From Interest Group, In Violation Of NBC Policy
ThinkProgress has learned that NBC anchor Chris Matthews has received tens of thousands of dollars in exchange for delivering speeches to corporate interest groups. Matthews’s speaking engagements appear to be in direct violation of NBC’s policy prohibiting its employees from accepting such fees."

Now, the article goes further:
"Three trade associations independently confirmed to ThinkProgress that Matthews spoke for hefty fees on several occasions, as recently as last year."
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/03/15/matthews-speaking-fees/

BTW, President of MSNBC is deny this. It is matter of time thst Matthews may not have a show if the public demands Matthews' show to be cancel.

3:20 PM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

I agree with both of you. Keith Olbermann is both sexy and smart. You can't go wrong there.
O'Reilley is a assclown, he should be a permanent worst person in the world.

And MSNBC President Rick Kaplan said it was "totally untrue-totally"
He didn't even back this up by any facts according to Think Progess.
Yeah, that's a strong argument!

I hope Chris Matthews does pay for this, he should.

4:16 PM
Blogger SP Biloxi said...

Remember, Kaplan has only been President of MSNBC since 2004. Whether he is in denial or simply doing the CYA, fact remains that Thinkprogess has sources that confirmed with them. The bottom line is that Matthews is hosed!

On a side note, there is documentary that I saw and brought called "Outfoxed". Director, Robert Greenwald exposes the Fox News antics and manipulations and how that news station rose to popularity. It also exposes Fox News and O'Reilly from interviews from ex-Fox News journalists.

Anyone wants to know why there isn’t a new posting on the blog from Fitz? Here is why:

US authorities say 27 charged in online child pornography ring

Fitz says:
"Today's charges involve the most disturbing of allegations," said Patrick Fitzgerald, US attorney for the northern district of Illinois.
"The victimization of children in the depraved manner described can never be tolerated."

http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060315/pl_afp/usjusticepornography_060315194407

This is a bit distrurbing to hear about child pornography especially the amount of people involved in this dispicable crime in Illinois.
