About Me
- Name: Patrick J. Fitzgerald
- Location: U.S. Attorney On Assignment - WDC, Illinois, United States
Think Globally Prosecute Locally - I grew up in Flatbush, kept my nose clean, went to law school. Now that I am in Chicago and D.C. I have found that the rampant graft and corruption to be a travesty - a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham. ---Favorite quote --- "Conditional love is an oxymoron." - Yours truly

Is anyone surprised I think not. Look the church gave millions for Bushie to get in office this is just pay back. I feel bad for the people that need help but Americans let this Administration do as they want so now deal with it. I still believe in the seperation of Church and State. But these guys using the church as a business with have to answer for their action.
These aren't christians who are taking this AIDS money and they don't represent christians at all.....
And every one of them needs to be permanently stopped....Let the indictments rain...
That is just so wrong to take AIDS money....amazing how much self-serving gratuitous they exhibit...
Bring it on.
I could use some of that dough for my new 12 step-12 year old virgin safe sex outreach mission.

Well, Bush believes in taking from the poor and give to the rich. Bush is certainly Robin Hood. I know when the singer, Bono, finds out where the money to fight AIDS in the U.S. has been funneled to the church, best believe Bono and the international leaders will be controlling their own funds to fight AIDS. That is a shame. All of those lives in Africa could be saved but Bush decide to help his own. Church has become a business like the corporate businesses. Bush's State of the Union speech should be called: P.E.P. which stands for Program With Empty Promises.
Bono is a Jesus man himself, so his reaction will be interesting to watch.
Fitz, I notice that now that you put a picture of a collection plate. That is certainly "Exhibit A" as evidence. :)
Actually, faith-based groups do tons of good things in the Third World. Sometimes it appears they are more effective that government aid. But tying federal funding to sex (or the lack thereof) is just too bizarre.
How about we fund groups and people who do the most GOOD. Come up with a formula to measure who is the most successful in helping the most people and give them the most money. We could use the Gates Foundation as a model.
