Fitz - TGIF too ---

Wishing on pictures of W and Jack
come forth..

But in other news... :) From the W Post.

Attorneys for Vice President Cheney's former top aide urged a court yesterday to force prosecutors to turn over all the information they obtained from reporters about their confidential conversations with Bush administration sources in the course of a two-year CIA leak investigation.

Attorneys for I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby said they must cast a wide net to learn about any conversations regarding CIA operative Valerie Plame, and that the information could be crucial to Libby's defense against perjury and obstruction charges. In court papers, the lawyers said they will probably subpoena reporters and officials later to thoroughly investigate how widely Plame's identity was known before her name appeared in the news media in July 2003.

Libby was indicted by Special Counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald on five felony counts of lying to the FBI and a grand jury. The indictment asserted that Libby leaked information about Plame's CIA role to two reporters but pretended he had learned the information from Tim Russert, the Washington bureau chief of NBC News, and that he passed it along as unverified reporter chatter.

The joker above me falsely links to blogger instead of the downing street.

I am happy to oblige with the proper link. However, this is something you really ought to learn in order to reach the ranks of "top rated" bloggers.

Or end up in the New Yorker.

I see we have had a new Faux Fitz posting this week. The old one used live links in his blog. The new one is "all thumbs" concerning them.

To make a URl into a live link, type "a href" (without the quotation marks) inside a pair of brackets like this < > ; then paste the URL and put "/a" (without the quotation marks) inside another pair of < > at the end of it.

Harriet, I'm the joker, but the joke's on me. As far as I know, I pasted the URL that you see in the post. I have no idea what happened.

When you are logged into blogger and want to leave a comment, you do not have to type in your name. Blogger will do it for you, if you check the "Blogger" button. Then your name will not appear twice above your comment.

Open Mike Weekend on the blog? Woo hoo! Let's talk global warming. Up here at the 45th Parallel, I'm kinda getting to like it. 50 degrees in January? And yet the nights are still cold enough so they can make snow at the ski hills? Best of both worlds.

So I'll have to figure out some way to give Mr. Fitzgerald credit for that ...

And as long as we're having Open Mike Weekend, maybe we can vote on who's the Cutest Federal Prosecutor. (Sorry. Couldn't resist.)

1)Plague-Infected Mice Missing From New Jersey Lab:
Officials Concerned, but Say Public Health Risk Is Low

Sept. 15, 2005 — Authorities are investigating the disappearance from a New Jersey bioterror research lab of at least three mice carrying a deadly strain of plague.
Sources say FBI agents and bioterrorism experts have interviewed and polygraphed employees at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, N.J., the location of the lab run by the Public Health Research Institute, a leading center for research on infectious diseases.
The mice have been missing for approximately two weeks.

January 24, 2006
By SITE Institute

A manual posted to a jihadist forum provides instructions for the cultivation and use of three strains of plague - bubonic, septicemic, and pneumonic - from the Yersinia Pestis microbe, as a biological weapon. The document refers to myriad sources for its foundation, including “Tawhid” magazine, a “book on microbiology by an Arab scholar,” Internet publications, and “Microbiology” textbook by Pelczar, Reid and Chan, and discusses not only the methods of preparing and storing the microbe, either in agar or mice, and security precaution to be undertaken, but the devastation caused by the release of even one gram of the microbe. The author cites a report from 1970 by the World Health Organization that “dropping aerosol composed of 50 kilograms of dried powder containing 106 [units] of this microbe over a city with 5 million inhabitants in a financially developed region, such as the United States, might lead to 150,000 cases of diseases and 36,000 casualties”.
Reasoning for developing such a manual for the Yersinia Pestis microbe is based upon the author’s view of the “relative easiness of getting hold of it and because of the possibility of using it in the form of aerosol. Thereby, it can easily be spread in the air and strike an innumerable number of people with lethal pneumonic plague”. To this end, the manual also describes other means of transmission, including main water lines and food, and that its diffusion through the air may be from the explosion of a bomb, crop spraying device, any vehicle traveling through the city, and small bombs or boxes “left in crowded areas such as metros, underground passages, closed sport areas or recreation centers (preferably in places with central air-conditioning).”

All,

Happy TGIF! I am pretty getting on the blog. It has a busy day for me. I can see that I missed a lot since yesterday. I already heard that Bush's State of The Union speech will not addressed the Domestic Spying issue nor the recent and on-going scandals. I don't think folks will be eager to hear King George's speech. Bush needs to address how is he going to cut the budget in half as he promised that he would do before he leaves office. BTW, the deficit is at 400 billion dollars. I wouldn't hold my breath. Everyone have a safe a wonderful weekend, and you, too, Fitz.:)

Forgot to give you the link of the recent poll from Americans towards Bush's job. He certainly going to irritate and wear the people down like a old used tire if Bush think that people will get rallied up from his health care, tax cut, and status of Iraq. He won't score brownie points with his fluff speech:

One more thing,

I noticed that there has been too many comments to whether this blog is Fitz or not. Well, if you feel that Fitz is not the real Fitz, then why bother making a comment on this blog? If Fitz is not the real Fitz, then SP Biloxi isn't real, Jackie is not Jackie (Jackie is really Jack Abramoff in disguise), Bluewild isn't Bluewild, and anyone on this blog isn't real. The real SP Biloxi, Jackie, Bluewild, and other bloggers are really stranded on a island from the Oceanic flight 815 crash from the TV. show "Lost." That's my 2 cents. Please give a rest folks and relax... Good Evening!

I thought TGIF was were you go to eat oh well. As to me being Jack Abramoff well SPB you have the wrong sex, gender, race, age and I'm not a jail bird. When I look in the mirror I see an older black lady, who would like to be young again and date Denzel, Olando or Jen from Lost the TV show. Yes I guess I'm not that old that I can't look or dream. But I'm who I am. Now if you still don't believe I'm well get over it.
Fitz I can't help you with a link I only know the basic information on a computer I have to get alot of help from my daughter now she's smart I'm clueless. So got luck with that link thing I hope someone can help you.
Hi Bluewild have a great weekend

Now, dating Denzel, Orlando, or Jin from "Lost," I'm not going there but that is a wonderful dream for you. I'm certainly not going to ruin your dream.:)

All,

This is my entry for the evening. But, bad news, folks. Well, Noel Hillma took the bait from Bush. He is stepping down as the lead prosecutor for the Abramoff case and is taken Bush's offer. So, another one has sold his soul. Pretty sad. Hillman is a good attorney:

Special Prosecutor Biloxi,

Thank you for passing on the proper message regarding Mr. Hillman.

My friends emailed your office today regarding the sad turn of events in the Abramoff case and I know it will be followed up with appropriate actions.

By the way, for all those who are still unaware, this is in fact the REAL pat fitzgeralds blog although he doesn't get on very often.....

We have proof and selective correspondence with them. Also, jackie and other african-american lawyers and so forth really post here.

You can even get proof yourself by asking here.....they know every single email address in the DOJ(Department of Justice), especially their own because they work there.

If you want Paul Mcnulty's address also you can just ask somebody, the truth is the only hoaxers here are the *trolls* which frequent and the parody site of sam alito and the others which are a joke by numerous officials....

Enough with Michael Moore already, that hypocritical fat hobbit.

"Michael Moore Owned Halliburton, Defense Stocks"

"Moore's supposedly nonexistent portfolio also includes big bad energy giants like Sunoco, Noble Energy, Schlumberger, Williams Companies, Transocean Sedco Forex and Anadarko, all firms that 'deplete irreplaceable fossil fuels in the name of profit' as he put it in ‘Dude, Where's My Country?'

"And in perhaps the ultimate irony, he also has owned shares in Halliburton. According to IRS filings, Moore sold Halliburton for a 15 percent profit and bought shares in Noble, Ford, General Electric (another defense contractor), AOL Time Warner (evil corporate media) and McDonald's.

"Also on Moore's investment menu: defense contractors Honeywell, Boeing and Loral."

Does Moore share the stock proceeds of his "foundation" with charitable causes, you might ask?

Schweizer found that "for a man who by 2002 had a net worth in eight figures, he gave away a modest $36,000 through the foundation, much of it to his friends in the film business or tony cultural organizations that later provided him with venues to promote his books and film."

cjt Thank you for that information I had no idea that Moore was so rich. Well as all the talk show host have let us know that the Dems were the ones Abramoff really paid. Rove, Libby, DeLay, Abramoff, Cunningham are all not guity of doing anything wrong. This is all the Dems doing. Our leadership has made our country stronger and well resprested all over the world. Evey American is living better then they ever have in the history of the US. All muslin countries will have a democracy and will not have any WMD or Nukes. Mr. Cheney was right Iraq had WMD and were about to attack the US. Spying on Americans is necessary to protect ourselves from ourselves. President Bush was right when he said the constitution is only a piece of paper he has the power to do what ever he thinks is necessary. In other words he is the law and if anyone disagrees their against America. Talk show host can even give false information to the viewers as long as its in support of the GOP. And of course it was all Bill Clinton's fault that were have all these problems with terrorist, corruption, invasions, fake documents, fake tapes, torture and anything else thats wrong. If only Mr. Bush had been President during those Clinton years none of this would have happen.
Now I'm out of never never land and back to the real world. CJT you have real problems with dealing with the current corrupt GOP and the mess we're been in since Bush took office.

Jackie I expose Moore here as the hypocrite any imformed person knows he is and you say I support Bush and Co.???

Is this lashing out from hurt over a fallen idol?

I was on to that grandstander after his second movie.

Infact, Jackie, one of the main powers that be of this blogs origin repeatedly contacted Moore for help on a charity drive for wounded of the war, it's families under hardships at home and the widows and children of the fallen. Moore cared nothing for it. I should add that this charity is run primarily by those of the political left.

He's a phony, self serving fraud and nothing more...

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks:

Bluewild: Thank you for Noel Hillman's email address. I had already email him today.

Anon (Roy): Welmcome! Thank you for your information and clearing up the matter of Fitz' website. I did email Noel Hillman.

I was very disppointment to hear that Hillman stepped down as the leading prosecutor. I hope that prosecutors such as Ronnie Earle and the leading Enron Task Force: Sean Berkowitz, Kathyn Ruemmrer, John C. Hueston, and Cliff Stricklin stick to their guns and not fall to prey to be brought. These current cases such as CIA leak case, DeLay, Abramoff, Enron, etc. are a very important topics to the American people. And people are losing faith in the judical system. So, I gave my 2 cents to Hillman and told him that I was disappointed in his decision. It is too coincidential for him to be nominated for judgeship at the same time leading the Abramoff case.

Switching gears: I just read on the WSJ of the Scotter Libby's case and what his lawyer's strategy:

January 27, 2006, 10:11 am
Scooter Libby’s Strategy Unfolds
Posted by Peter Lattman
Lawyers for Scooter Libby stepped up their demands that special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald turn over information about news organizations and their reporters, according to this AP report. Libby’s attorneys — led by William Jeffress of Baker Botts and Ted Wells of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison — argue that without the information, their client cannot properly defend himself against obstruction and perjury charges, stemming from the CIA leak investigation.
A federal grand jury accused Libby of lying when he said he learned about a CIA operative’s identity from from reporters; the indictment claims Libby found out about her identity from three sources: the CIA, the State Department and Libby’s boss, Vice President Dick Cheney. Libby has been charged with counts of obstruction, perjury and making false statements to the FBI.
The motion illuminates part of Libby’s defense strategy, at least on the false statement charges. As explained by law professor Ellen Podgor on the White Collar Crime Prof blog, false statement charges require that the statement be “material.” If Libby’s lawyers can show that lots of other Beltway insiders knew this information, that would cast doubt on the materiality element of the crime.

P.S. I am confident that Fitz will see the CIA Leak case to the end.

Yes, the Florida prosecutor, Andrew Lourie is taking over Hillman's case. Remember, Laurie is temporry replacing Hillman's position. Lourie is the "acting" lead prosecutor. He wasn't offer the position permanently. Anything can changed. In addition, how interesting that Lourie is a prosecutor from Florida? Isn't Bush's brother, Jeb, from Florida? How interesting? I am certainly skeptical about the certain changes in prosecutors in the Abramoff case. I have to agree with the Time magazine. The timing is puzzling and how do we know that Andrew Lourie is strong prosecutor for the Abramoff case. Here the article from Time Magazine:
