WASHINGTON, July 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Friday voted to double the bounty on Osama bin Laden to $50 million and require President George W. Bush to refocus on capturing him after reports al Qaeda is gaining strength.
By a vote of 87-1, the Senate set the reward for the killing or capture, or information leading to the capture, of the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.
SPB called Edward Siskel, Julie Ruder, Jeffrey Cramer, Eric Sussman the fantastic four and he's right. Also the greatest of them all at what he does Randall Samborn. At lease we know we have some great DOJ lawyers working for the American people. I know the Queen of England crossed Blacks name off the list of Lords. Now he's on the list of convicted felons along with Libby. Miers will be next and join this group.
Um the Queen Mother has passed on.
the only way the mother queen can commute Black's sentence is if goes the way of Halliburton's Lay, bye-bye-bye!

It is weird how they say information comes in bits and pieces, no wonder us peons cannot figure out anything. But sometimes, something you remember-- names and strange happenings from yesteryear pops in your head and you decide why not try searching key words together? Search engines help you find the work of others. There really were beasts/leadership leading our youth over the years in the military, schools, church and yes at home too. Hopefully, the victims do not become like their "mentors" and have the strength and wisdom to realize they have the power to break the cycle of evil and dysfunction. It is the kindest gift they can give themselves, the future generations, humanity and our planet and even the tormentors that were so weak themselves.
"Sir Conrad Black member of Britain's House of Lords as Lord Black of Crossdresser GUILTY in Fraud Trial"
Crossdresser, really? :O
The Queen has no jurisdiction over American courts.
Now, if it was in Canada you may have a point.
However, after the Whitlam debacle in the early '70's, I doubt the monarchy would interfere in such matters again - meaning, across the board.
Be it political (Whitlam) or the justice system the British monarchy is just a symbol of days past. A tourist attraction full of pomp and ceremony that really has no meaning to todays generation.
She may strip the title though.
The Black Baron. Kinda sexy isn't it?
meew.... purrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I'm not clear why Kipnis was found guilty but the rest of them deserved it.
Iraq veterans: "...the entire war is an atrocity"
In a very wide-ranging and in-depth piece of reporting, Chris Hedges & Laila Al-Arian of The Nation have interviewed fifty combat veterans of the Iraq war. The results are devastating. These are, as the writers point out, on the record, named eyewitnesses. They are people who could testify in court, in other words. Many of these guys have come back from the war, shocked at the disparity between the savage perversity they were part of, and what is reported in a politically timid media. A lot of them describe a sickening resentment of Iraqis, which the authors relate to a report from the Pentagon some time ago, showing that less than half of soldiers and slightly less than two fifths of marines thought that Iraqi civilians should be treated with dignity and respect. They'll be a civic bunch when they return home.

Nice going again, mr prezdint
It was nice seeing the little angel at the press conference. Looking good but getting thin he needs to get more. I loved the red tie and he did good.
Now the fantastic five can be proud of a job well done.

these words were voted parliamentary:
Rep. Mel Watt (D-NC):
this president has abused the presumtive privilege
this is the same president who told me he was going to be a different kind of president and renegged on that promise
vice president cheney... I presume he is claiming the privilege also... claiming he is not in the executive branch
he's the same president who lied to Congress and the American people about the reasons for going to war
the president who has put people into jail without even bringing any charges against them and rendered them to other countries for questioning
LOL

OTTAWA -- Conrad Black's chances of regaining his Canadian citizenship are quickly slipping away with yesterday's criminal convictions in the United States, immigration experts say.
Canadian law makes it impossible for a convicted criminal to become Canadian.
"He's got big problems. That's my professional opinion," Canadian immigration lawyer David Aujla said.
Even worse for Lord Black, he will likely not even be allowed to set foot on Canadian soil unless he succeeds in overturning the convictions.
8:34pm I don't see the CIC any different than Charles Manson and his manipulation of our troops in regards to how innocent Iraqis are treated. With Bush and Cheney still promoting that Iraq was in thick with Al-Qaeda or bin Laden; the troops have to be trained this way also. Or does Bush's Blackwater stir the pot and cause more problems for the military trying to make a difference? They sure seem to set the hate in motion with Fallujah. Did they set up their own workers so the military would have to change plans? Did Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld and their neocon cabal make sure to play both sides so they could get that Embassy Palace built and all those bases?
Imagine if they were greeted with flowers and sweets; would Rumsfeld packed up and went home?
Or does Bush's Blackwater stir the pot and cause more problems for the military trying to make a difference?
Yes, it does and with 180,000 private civilian contractors there it is not getting better. Soldiers tell me some of their own missions have been taken over by Blackwater. WTF? Violation of anti-Pinkerton for sure. Our soldiers are stuck on base or go on dangerous missions to get them off base. I wouldn't say they are trained to hate Iraqis, they aren't trained at all. Cultural diversity training would certainly be helpful. Know most soldiers have never been given the definition of terrorism. Bring them home and get them immediate counseling for the insanity Bush ordered them to perform. Guard & Reserves are much less likely to commit war atrocities simply because they are better educated soldiers-but they are also the ones returning with more psychological truama.
I believe all and any sides were played in this war. It wouldn't have mattered if Iraqi's gave us a going away dinner-Rummy and friends had no intention of leaving...the public figuring out the scheme foiled their plot.
Conrad Black was born in Canada and has dual citizenship (United Kingdom). I am sure I am correct on this.
As I am now quite knowledgable on Immigration matters in Canada as well as the USA. I dont quite understand how you can loose a citizenship from the country you were born in?
If anything they should send him back home.
The Raw Story | Kucinich: Clinton, Edwards are rigging the '08 election
If Clintons and Edwards are behind this nixing of letting all the candidates speak, then I hope people still undecided take the same action with them. Same thing for the Republicans shutting out Ron Paul from speaking.
Once again money throwers and the media try to dictate what people should think...
Highlighting...
Cut the war budget, bring our troops home. Cut the money flowing to that country that keeps claiming it is our friend. Some friend.
What country? The highlight doesnt work.
Clinton doesnt have to rig. She just has to bring her husband. Thats enuf isnt it?
