edmontonsun.com - World - Guilty -- but of what?

This was on Google News front page. Not good but what does one expect with corrupt media? I was looking for news on (local tv news broke story) world wide pedophile ring broken up and arrest made with 30 kids saved.
World citizens know that top dogs are involved, were involved and it is the key that leads to other evil, evil things. It would be foolish for elite deviants to get away with their evil again, doncha think?

Got a scoop?

I remember the Mafia from Jersey.
Here's some of the familie La Cosa Nostra, Genovese and Gotti. I saw Gotti once and he dressed nice and acted like he owned the world. This group is embedded in America as bodies are all over Jersey and New York. WATCH YOUR BACK IN THIS CASE. The Mafia will kill a person to silence them, the White House Mob pays people off.

CRIMES AND CORRUPTION OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER NEWS: THE MOTHER OF ALL SCANDALS

"All arms sales to the west’s Mideast clients routinely include 10-15% `commissions’ to heads of state, generals, and their cronies. These funds are traditionally channelled through middlemen, the flamboyant Adnan Kashoggi being the most notorious.

Kickbacks, rechristened `marketing fees,’ were of course expected in the Al-Yamamah deal. But Bandar’s $2 billion set a record for size and venality. Thatcher ordered Bandar’s payments carefully hidden from public gaze. They remained so until recent years when British and American government investigators began questioning secret, multi-million dollar payments to Prince Bandar routed from the UK to the shady Riggs Bank in Washington. Before it was shut down after a series of scandals, Riggs had become one of the favorite handlers of `black’ money for pro-US autocratic regimes."

In Sibel's case, (at least some of) the 'lobbyists' are publicly known, and (at least some of) the payments are public. We know who is, or has been, on the Turkish payroll. Resignations are one fraud indicator under Statement of Accounting Standard 99 [SAS99]. Has the IG been appropriately increased in size to support larger audits of OMB, per Generally Accepted Auditing Standards [GAAS] and [Generally Accepted Government Acounting standards]

And Porter just did that, along with sooo many others. Can anyone expand on 99? SPB maybe?

SAS99 compels government auditor to increase audit scope, or the number of auditors/audit engagements, to mitigate chancees of audit fraud, risk, and other misstatements in financial reporting. But is also includes personnel changes. And yes, fraud indicator includes resignations especially key personnel. That is a red flag. When you mention Pace, this also connects with WH officials that were forced out, USA firings, and so on.

All roads lead back to the OVP: Cheney. Moreover, notice that Dick Cheney, the businessman, will not release his logs of names of individuals that conducted business in his home? He claims that he conducts his business in "private." This is certainly a red flag. Any business conducted has to be documented and subjected to audit.

Ms. Sloan made some fine points on the CREW website concerning Dick Cheney and the SS99:

G. Fraud indicators include resignations of key personnel. Bartlet and many others in DoJ and WH have resigned. How was audit scope increased per Statement on Accounting Standard 99 and Generally Accepted Government Accounting Standards [GAGA] once resignations occurred in the WH Counsel's office; what will the VP entry-access logs show related to Berenson's discussion with the VP legal counsel on these personnel transfers after Bartlett's departure and other resignations; has audit scope increased in OMB after Berenson and others resigned/left/departed; or were there no noisy withdrawals as required under DC Atty Disciplinary Rule 1.6?

Corrupt Colleges, Student Debt

"America is turning out millions of college graduates groaning under the burden of paying off college loans carrying interest rates of anywhere from 9 to 20 percent. There are lower-interest federal loans available, but the private-sector loan industry has lobbied through limits on how much a college student can borrow and the limits are much, much less than tuition, books and living costs."

Gee, aren't we proud of the lobbyists, America?

Eleven US soldiers have been convicted for abuses related to detainees at Abu Ghraib.

New Yorker: The general's report
"These [military police] troops were not that creative," he said.

"Somebody was giving them guidance, but I was legally prevented from further investigation into higher authority."

Seymour Hersh, who interviewed Taguba for the New Yorker, told Al Jazeera that Taguba had been warned by General John Abizaid, the then commander of the US Central Command, that he would be investigated along with his report.

Quote of the week:
"I'd been in the army 32 years by then, and it was the first time that I thought I was in the Mafia," Taguba said.

Jackie:

Keep in mind that Libby was denied amicus curiae. Amicus curiae means "friend of the court", that refers to someone, not a party to a case, who volunteers to offer information on a point of law or some other aspect of the case to assist the court in deciding a matter before it.

For Libby to be denied this means that Libby's chance to stay of out of prison is very dim. A huge blow to Libby. Here are some updates on my posting:

Update:

From Libby's emergency appeal on Tuesday to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit:

The request will be considered by a three-judge panel of the court. By policy, the court does not disclose which judges are on the panel until a decision is made.
From today's filing from the appeals court, the names of the three-judge panel are revealed:

1. Number 47 Circuit Judge David B. Sentelle. He was appointed by Reagan.
2. Number 49 Circuit Judge Karen L. Henderson. She was appointed by George H. W. Bush
3. Number 52 Circuit Judge David S. Tatel. He was appointed by Clinton.

Update 2:

From the AP yesterday: The three judges said Wednesday that Fitzgerald has until Friday to respond to the request. The request is Libby's emergency for a get out of jail card to appeal his conviction. On a side note, The panel considering Libby‘s delay request is not necessarily the same panel that will hear the appeal of his conviction.

Looks dim for the little soldier. Just hold the balloons until the day Scooter takes his first mug shot and get fingerprinted.

And I notice that the media are not talking about this latest of Scooter.

Defend our Courts!

Please forgive the short notice, but our courts are
being infiltrated at all levels with corporatists,
yes-men, and enemies of our rights. It is critical
that we stop these confirmations because wherever we
fail to stop them we will suffer thereafter with the
ensuing tyranny of their decisions.

Bush has once again nominated a judge with dubious
credentials. In question is Leslie Southwick for the
Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. And PFAW has responded
with a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Please read it for detailed background information
about this candidate:

http://media.pfaw.org/05-30-07_Southwick_Letter.pdf?tr=y&auid=2783758

This court is particularly critical as it is a federal
appeals court. If we citizens cannot protect our
courts from right-wing ideologues, we will have
nowhere to turn for justice.

Senators Feinstein and Kohl in particular my be
wavering. Can you take a moment to call them and ask
that they vote against Southwick's confirmation?

Sen. Diane Feinstein (CA) (202) 224-3841
Sen. Herb Kohl (WI) (202) 224-5653

You can contact all the Senators in the Judiciary
Committee here:

If you still have the time, please sign this letter:

The end is need for the little soldier. All jokes a side his last hope is the Gerbil and that pardon. With many GOP team members in jail or about to go it will be interesting to see if the Gerbil pardons just one team player and not the others. Not to mention what that would do for his image. Cheney could really care less because he's a user.
Now for all those Libby supporters they might want to give his hundreds of cartons of cigarettes, please don't send soap. Carvil and Mary might want to start that fund raiser for their best friend Libby.

Fitz what can I say my Little Angel is a true example to young up coming lawyers. He has given so much of himself even when the media trashed him, he stood his ground. He has loyal supporters and friends that watch is back. The future is just a journey and I hope my Little Angel will look ahead to carving at a little time for his own life. Life is always better when you have someone to share it with and the journey is more interesting. Make that call, step out that door and just go for it.
