On August 2nd, 2006, during what would be the last White House Press conference in the briefing room before it underwent major renovations, Sam Donaldson shouted, "Mr. President, should Mel Gibson be forgiven?" – referencing reports of the actor/producer's alleged anti-Semitic remarks. Mr. Bush laughed and looked up to see who had asked the question. Bush joked, "Is that Sam Donaldson? Forget it...you're a has been! We don't have to answer has beens' questions." To which the famously outspoken and aggressive reporter retorted: "Better to have been a has-been than a never was Mr. President!"

The media should be uncovering not covering it up for the President. The average citizen could uncover more than a *star* journalist whore this days.

After Cathie Martin testifying, (and figuring it out on our own anyway) Mr. Fitz should throw more of the so called media in jail to get to the truth since they are in bed with the evil=doers or are part of the evil themselves.
FDL had a post where Libby was shaking his head on one point Martin said about leaking to the press, then Libby caught himself...looked around to see if anyone saw him. People don't like being manipulated by the government or the media, period.

Well, if Dondaldson is serious where the hell is he?
What has happened to "the has been" journalist who had some guts. Are they all dead? Has the Bush Crime Family murdered one of their children? Where he hell are they?
I love it! Kudos to Sam Donaldson, a voice for the MSM, who in reality would want to speak truth, rather than cower in the shadow of the allmighty $$$.
