we have yet to learn sealed v sealed

I notice no-one called Rove'r to the stand. Sense that was an agreement made between Fitz and welling-up Wells --such a putz stunt.

Matalin also would have been very interesting on the stand to offer insight in to 'Libby state of mind' as she helped to condone/ perpetuate the diabolical sequence of events as Dr Evils PR slander/liable-guru. Her arrogant laced sharp tongue and demeanor would have said it all.. damning at best to the defense.

We may only hope Justice prevails and truth wins out.

For Libby to be exhonorated -- I would fear riots in the streets..

America has taken too much from this bag of jackasses for way too long.

May you take a tour of Iraq and Walter Reed.

Your statement is at best offensive and quite uncouth.

They have given their lives getting the shaft from our Govt without the right equipment, no less war strategem THEN get the utlimate and final shaft by getting little to no disability ..

what, we're not allowing Haliburton to steal enough from the American taxpayer?

Wells’ behavior during the final FitzBlitz (head in hands, not looking up, not objecting to the “outing of NOC” line) sounds dangerously like incompetence. Does his behavior set up the possiblity of appeal on the grounds of incompetent defense (essentially legal malpractice)? Is it possible that Libby and the defense team are simply setting up the possibility of a new trial (after using this one to learn the nature of the government’s case)? If successful, does this not turn Wells (apparent) incompetence into potential genius? His behavior does not “smell right” to me.

The courts should not be manipulated by this type of "genius" or desperation. Americans have enough of manipulations, lies, smear campaigns, corruption, evil, and bad acting. I hope if Wells thinks Judge Walton is another Judge Ito, he's got another thing coming.

Folks,

A message fron Jackie's man:

From Talkleft.com:

I just received this email from DOJ spokesman Randall Samborn:

Mr. Fitzgerald will not be available after a verdict for one-on-one interviews or talk shows. We do anticipate that he will speak to the media after a verdict outside the Courthouse.
My main question which I hope a reporter asks: Is this investigation over? I sure hope the answer is "no."

Hee hee.. Good work guys. The media will be vultures after the verdict looking for Fitz. Thanks, Randall!

"If the verdict is guilty and Libby flips for Fitz... does this case continue or will a new case be opened?"

The case was about perjury from Scooter. If Scooter is found guilty, he can appeal his case which his defense team have said they intent to do. Once the verdict is read, Walton has to weight in what sentence Scooter would get bssed on how many counts that Scooter is guilty of. Scooter may bring letters from friends and family asking for leniency because of Scooter being a public servant and not criminal record. But, we know don't want Walton will say after he was hookwinked by the defense for not putting Libby on the stand as promised.

As far as an investigation into a WH conspiracy or fake prewar intelligence of Iraq and so on, those are new cases. And since Libby is involved in the WH conspiracy and other crimes, that is a separate case and separate charge. So, Libby's crimes done to this country are not over...

2:25 PM
Blogger SP Biloxi said...

P.S. There is not plea bargain for Libby even if he is found guilty and want to talk to the government. Too little too late. Libby is not a smart attorney in different ways. He is banking that Bush will pardon him. That is what they fed to the idiot. He should have done loke Ari did: ask for full immunity in the beginning. His troubles are only the beginning.

An article not worth passing from our favorite swampland reporter: Bryan York. Check out the headlines..

Scooter Who? In Closing Arguments, Fitzgerald Points the Finger at Dick Cheney

Fitz,

Glad that Randall gave us the scoop that you will not be given interviews. Don't give any future interview to "the mistake with a zipper" York! If you see him on the street, walk pass him as though he was gum on your shoe.

Ha Ha! I thought I would be mild on York but if you insist for Fitz to ignore York like dog doo on the bottom of his shoe, so be it! LOL!

But I go agree. He is worthless. He is not giving both sides' version. That is what irritates me about him.

Froomkin in the WaPo has an excellent rundown on the trial today. He pulls in lots of clips to show how the media is reporting on it.

Whatever the outcome, I appreciate the bravery Fitz exhibited in laying the blame at Cheney's door. I just hope it wasn't his last chance to make his points with the American Public.

Praying for the jury to be moved to do the right thing.

There are a lot of worthless "journalists" these days who can join Jukyard Reporter Woodward. And ironically this case has exposed more of them for what they really are: just plain dumb and lazy observers, distortionists, liars or hookers!

Of course, Fitz is eyeing the Veep. Get the Veep out the WH and you will see the blow up President lost in translation for his boss. Bush is a lost cause without his lollypop co-President Cheney to pull strings.

York and other press piglets-too lazy too unkind too dumb to get both sides.

It sucks and I can surely relate, today its mine turn to get slammed in the local paper when a witness was unprepared despite x's claims of having 10 years of experience. At doing what? Making a work product and then refuting it in court? I guess I can be thankful final conclusions were not made by experts based on just X's unqualified analysis.

Dear God, have any of you worked with the type? Any words of advice appreciated, we are all mad as hell at x since we all stand by our own and my teams individual work product.

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) won't say what it plans to do with thousands of dollars in campaign donations it received from an accused terror financier.

Abdul Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari gave $15,250 to the NRCC since 2002, according to FEC records published on the Web site opensecrets.org.

On Friday, Alishtari pled not guilty to funding terrorism and other crimes, including financial fraud.

Have I ever worked or encountered asswipes that are too lazy, stupid, and unkind to get both sides of a story? Absolutely.

But asswipes like York, Feldmen and other paid troll journalista and professionals have sold their souls to the devil to feed garbage to the public. They are nothing but puppets. The Gerbil Administration lived on the gravy train for 6 years and so did the journalists like York. But that train is coming to an end. And sooner or llter York has to have a cover story for Fitzgerald when Fitzgerald win. But, I said to Fizgerald from the beginning that you will know hiw your friends are from this case. The real friends were there during in dark times in this case.

But, people like I worked with like York I basically tune out. When this case is over and Fitz win, Fitz is in the driver's seat to decide who he will give an interview. Only the few people don't care what asswipes like York think because asswipes like York don't think!

Something occurred to me when rereading Fitzie's Rebuttal Statement:

He started it with: "Madness! Madness! Madness! --

I was thinking that also was the closing lines of the movie Bridge Over River Kwai? So I googled and this is what I was able to find:

"...the final scene in "The Bridge on the River Kwai," and Alec Guinness as the correct British colonel who'd completely lost touch with the larger reality, i.e., the war he was supposed to be fighting. In the end, he can only watch in horror and dismay as the fine bridge he's had his troops build for the enemy is destroyed in an Allied commando raid.

His is a madness within the greater madness that is war."

How ironic! I wonder if Fitzie had this double entendre in mind when he chose those words???

Either way -- his performance yesterday was brilliant!

Perhaps if you seen the WaPo news about Walter Reed or watched the news on abc, you will understand that comment certainly was not aimed at the troops by no means. It was the hasty work and clean up now being done after being outed by the media that termed the phrase, "a" and "e". Something the media should do in this country on a regular basis.

WHO KILLED TERRY YEAKEY? - by Pat Shannan

Most people today believe someone other than James Earl Ray shot Martin
Luther King. They have judged the facts, not the standard news media spin.
Someday the world opinion will do an about-face and swing in favor of
another unjustly convicted man, Tim McVeigh. If AP and the talking heads
would only report the truth about ANFO and its impotency, most of the
thinking public would have to conclude that Tim McVeigh could not be guilty
of murdering anyone. This is already a known fact, but the media are
suppressing it. Contrary to news reports, the persons found guilty could not
have been solely responsible. An Oklahoma City police sergeant became aware
of this before anyone else, apparently during the first hour of rescue. He
paid for that discovery with his life....
