Barbara "Dances With Lies" Comstock Named Washington Post Editor?
How else are we to explain the editorial decisions to propel Byron York's inept and hapless crayon scribblings yesterday, followed by the propagandistic, defamatory rantings of longtime Barbara Comstock sister in crime Victoria Toensing today? Barbara Comstock currently serves as the PR flack for the Libby defense team, and has been a key fundraiser for his defense. <more>

Mr. Fitz!
More people should read Larry Johnson's blog more often. He flat out states it.. without the spins, hoops, and lies.
Nothing I've read about that Comstock woman has been good. More chicken, dear?
From the article..
As I've said, others will address more directly the lack of merit of the Toensing article itself, but the first point to take is the Post's choice to serve as the sewage pipeline for Wilson and Fitzgerald smears.

Newsweek_Tony_Blairs_reputation_
shredded_by_0218.html
For two months, Prime Minister Tony Blair offered "extraordinary access to himself and his top aides" to Newsweek, in hopes of rescuing "Blair's legacy from the grip of Iraq," the magazine reports.
"More than any Western leader other than President George W. Bush, British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s reputation has been 'shredded by Iraq,' a senior Bush administration official who would only speak anonymously about a foreign leader, tells Newsweek," notes a press release sent to RAW STORY about the article. "Perhaps even more so than Bush: Blair transformed the Labour Party into a juggernaut and oversaw a 10-year renaissance in Britain. He had further to fall than the American president."
"Newsweek" will apply their lies and spins from sources that seem to grow unnamed and doesn't want to embarrass anyone in government with sensitive subject each week.
"Newsweek" would have gotten canceled from me right after the '04 election but it was one of the kids' money making projects. They send notices that practically beg people to re-new their subscriptions. Cathie Martin testifying just confirmed it all for sure why no one wants to read their rag anymore.

The Comstock Committee for Scooter Libby.
Hi Teak:
Tony Blair's name is mud now! He is part of the corruption that played the world on the lies of the invasion of Iraq!
Btw.. I am really looking forward to Fitz's closing statement on Tuesday! :D
Bring that evildoer down Fitzie! :)

Oh brother... There goes Washington Post... Comstock.. Glad I stop reading WP online after Bob "Depends" Woodward messed up his intergrity as a reporter. Thank god for blogging and bloggers.
It is a shame that Comstock is polluting that newspaper. What other newspapers with integrity are next?
Weapons used in Iran attacks came from the U.S.
It's truly amazing how those rats in that sewer (Washington Post) continue to spin the facts!
Why, oh why, Sweet Neo Con?
No longer reading the Washington (wh*re) Post, as they are obviously receiving $$$ from "W" & Halliburton.
Someone posted a Letterman like countdown of Libby's defenses from this site:
http://satiricalpolitical.com/?p=613
Sorry I can't link it. My favorite one was that Libby was under a lot of duress because Cheney threatened to "out" him as a Jew at his exclusive country club. If jan were on here, she'd say that I was stirring up a pot of crap with that one :). Got me to thinking that he wanted to be known as Scooter all his life because it's so preppy sounding.
http://www.iraqslogger.com/index.php
Both sides of the issue, I guess. I just found this site today. But I've read things before about "chaos" being helped along to the construction of the U.S. bases moving on schedule.
With Darth/Rumsfeld and that certain cabal in the Pentagon, nothing should be put past that bunch.
Folks,
Pretty damn damaging info. from Firedoglake:
Michael Isikoff reports for Newsweek. "What Novak didn't tell the jury is what the lobbyist then did with it: Hohlt confirmed to NEWSWEEK that he faxed the forthcoming column to their mutual friend Karl Rove (one of Novak's sources for the Plame leak), thereby giving the White House a heads up on the bombshell to come."
After Novak first told Hohlt that he was working on a hot story about ex-ambassador Joe Wilson, Hohlt says he e-mailed Rove to expect a phone call from Novak. Then Hohlt began pressing Novak to learn the juicy details. On July 11, 2003, three days before the column was published, Novak gave him a preview copy. (Unknown to Hohlt, Rove had already confirmed to Novak that Wilson's wife worked at the CIA.) That same day, Hohlt e-mailed details about the column to Rove, and later faxed him the entire unpublished article. (Rove's lawyer confirms this account.) "I was just trying to be helpful," Hohlt says. His role as a go-between later earned him a visit from the FBI, but it stayed secret until now. And that was just fine with Hohlt, who says that his greatest accomplishment as a lobbyist has been "staying out of the press."
http://www.firedoglake.com/2007/02/18/what-did-rove-know-and-when-did-he-know-it/
On a side note, Wells asked Novak about the Richard Hohlt. Novak told Wells that Hohlt was a lobbyist and friend. Novak shared his column with Hohlt. We now know who Hohlt shared the article with at the WH!
This is the second time you've identified the WaPo as the Washington Times, Fitz. I guess it's intentional: you don't see much difference between the two, especially this story.

So...Whats the difference, except for the Times is owned by the moonies. Heehehe
Special Prosecutor Biloxi said...

Was wondering about. I guess its not too surprising since US makes most of the weapons...lol
Thanks for the post.,,I feel kinda famous now...lol
Whatever happened to these guys? How come Bush doesn't talk about them in his press conferences?

Several sources are reporting the Pentagon is using an Islamic terrorist group from Iraq to help prepare for a possible attack on Iran. The group is Mujahedeen-e Khalq (MEK), which was expelled from Iran in after the Islamic revolution and was supported by Saddam Hussein. MEK advocates the over-throw of the Iranian regime, with replacement by the group's leadership.
According to the initial report in Raw Story this plan was advanced by the Vice President's Office and the Defense Department as early as 2003. A former counterintelligence official said "The US army secured a key MEK facility 60 miles northwest of Baghdad shortly after the 2003 invasion, but they did not secure the MEK and let them basically be because Wolfowitz was thinking ahead to Iran." The Asia Times includes a quote from the intelligence correspondent for United Press International that confirms the United States is "using the Mujahideen--e Khalq (MEK) organization and other groups to carry out cross-border operations." The plan was opposed by the State Department, National Security Council, and then-National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice. A senior British intelligence official "expressed that any operations with MEK would violate their own military code and would absolutely not be tolerated."
Just because Condi Chevron says something doesn't mean squat. She's proven it time after time, she's a war monger.
Hi Geezerpower:
No surprise to me.
Happy New Year - Year of the Pig
It's the year of the pig, which many are claiming means conflict and more natural disasters.
"The Year of the Pig will not be very peaceful," said Hong Kong feng shui master Raymond Lo.
Feng shui is the ancient Chinese practice of trying to achieve health, harmony and prosperity by using specific dates, numbers, building design and the placement of objects.
The pig is one of 12 animals (or mythical animals in the case of the dragon) on the 12-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac, which follows the lunar calendar. According to Chinese astrology, people born in pig years are polite, honest, hardworking and loyal. They are also lucky, which is why many Chinese like to have babies in a pig year.
"Any children born in The Year of Pig will receive help from others throughout their lives," Lo said.

Hi SPB!
Novak, Hohlt and Rove remind me of the 3 Stooges! Always doing something stupid and getting themselves into trouble!
Hey Geezer!
Famous...like did you shave yer head too? hehe
There's been another debunking of the Toensing article posted by Atrios. It's by someone named Brent Budowsky whom I'm not familiar with but was a minor official in other administrations. He calls it a blatant attempt at jury tampering. Well, I guess if just one of those people reads the article, it cooks the trial. I've been leery about this jury from the time they were selected and so many pro-bushies were allowed in, but we'll see.
I had a question for the lawyers among you too. Biloxi? If the sealed v. sealed is Rove turning on Cheney, could it be sealed until Cheney leaves office? And if that's the case, would Fitzgerald still have to be the special prosecutor? IANAL.
How can someone remember all 79 “Star Trek” episodes but forget about a conspiracy to "out" a CIA Agent?
Well, Scooter??
SQ
Yes...I have shaved my head as smooth as a Glasshoppah. I am learned many things, such as why pork rind is lucky...G:

The Year Of The Rat
1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996
People born in the Year of the Rat are noted for their charm and attraction for the opposite sex. They work hard to achieve their goals, acquire possessions, and are likely to be perfectionists. They are basically thrifty with money. Rat people are easily angered and love to gossip. Their ambitions are big, and they are usually very successful. They are most compatible with people born in the years of the Dragon, Monkey, and Ox.
Gee, Geezer, you're pretty darn smart on that 'puter fer a guy born in 1912! LOL
Well I gots admit I'm a little older than Fitz...lol
Not to old for a Loo...oww though.
Lets cook up some pork rind...
LOLMAO
Geezer, well, I bet you could hula dance! hehe
Slingblade, thanks for the photo of you and yer little woman! LOL

I've got to admit that I could really cut some sand back in the day, not to mention the hula hoop. It just isn't a looooww without the hula...G;
Slangblade
I had no idea that you were in DC...Were you in the Senate or the House?
I'm the year of the pig and proud of it. My oldest daughter is the year of the snake and she fits the snake description to the tee. I guess I have alot of people joining me in the pig year. I found the other kids signs. Peaches is a sheep, Johnnie is a Monkey and Preppie is like me a pig.
The signs really fit their/my personality.
Geezer:
I bet you were a sailor and you were stationed in Hawaii at one time?
I'm a rat, too. My siblings delighted in that when we growing up. Now they call me packrat. God bless 'em.

Naval Reserve...The regulars called me a f***ing reservist when I went on my 2 week cruises. I was 2 weeks on the aircraft carrier Ticonderoga once and they wouldn't even give me a fart sack. I found one myself, and slept down by the pipes in the hold. I made friends with the dudes down in the boiler room, so when the Deck guys tried to get me to paint the hatches they would say I was with them. I spent most of time hanging out there...lol Really wanted to go to Hawaii but we never put into port.
I even got an honerable discharge.
Teak
I know what you mean. I had so much stuff stashed that I had to start an antique shop. Stuff is like seeds, it grows no matter what. I still have way too much, but never let it be said that I passed a yard sale...(:
Good Evening Bloggers,
:-D S-Q, Geez and Teak especially-you guys are extra funny tonight lol
Into the chinese zodiac? I'm a rabbit, but the magic 8 ball works about the same LOL
So how long do you guys think the jury will take to tell Scooter nobody could save him?
I think maybe by Thursday. We shouldn't have to worry about a hung jury. It wouldn't be appropiate for the little cajones'.
G:
Geezer:
Cool! :) Is this the carrier?
Ticonderoga
Hi Prissy:
Well, if that rate that Fitz's globe is spinning (it's going fast) is any indication how long it will take the Jury...I would say not long! :)
In case you guys missed the Grammys...this girl was impressive and I think she will be around for a long time! :) It's A Man's World

Yup Geez and S-Q, I think so too!
Thanks for posting that S-Q, she is truly talented!
Great post Teak, that sure sums it all up nicely, doesn't it?
They will try every dirty trick in the book until they think something will stick. Gee whoever could be behind such a strategy... I smell bacon LOL
Geezer:
Hmmm...I don't know but glad you found it. The photo I posted was taken in 1972. :)
Teak:
Victoria Toensing and Clarice Feldman should be tarred & feathered! LOL Chickenhawks in their true colors! hehe
Rancid bacon.
To be honest I only read Larry Johnson's piece and didn't bother reading that witch's crap.
I didn't realize it was that horrible. Like mAnn's last name, I'm thinking of the first and last letters with only two between. I bet some GJ members are damn pissed, they should be because they are dissing their judgement too. If this jury comes back guilty like they should, are they going to dog them too?
BREAKING: NM Senate Rules Committee Passes Bush-Cheney Impeachment Resolution
Senate Joint Resolution 5, the legislation urging impeachment of Bush and Cheney, was passed this morning in the NM Senate Rules Committee with only Democrats present, all of whom voted for the resolution! The meeting room was packed to the gills, with a huge crowd winding down the hallways outside the hearing. Several hours were spent listening to citizens speak on behalf of the bill, until Committee members were forced to move on to other business.

I think Libby should hire Howard K. Stern to represent him in the Appeal.
http://www.wakeupfromyourslumber.com/node/673
If you read about the free trips that Congress takes each year to this country or read anything, this makes you wonder. It is not something the so called media will be reporting.
Peace doesn't make war mongers rich and powerful.

Senator Jim Webb's diary.
Now McCain wants Roe vs Wade overturned so woman will no longer have rights. McCain wants to allow torture and send more troops to be killed. He is following the Bush/Cheney script and doing a great job. I remember when woman got rights for that things were beyond belief and many young women died who didn't have to. I guess by giving young girls medication that on one knows what will happen to them and now allowing girls to died because they wont have rights.
Good Morning,
I see the NYT held publication of dasterdly dick's deeds...not sure who the worst weasel is-them or WaPo.
They must know they are going to be sued, so they figure may as well take the lies all the way at this point.
Great posts Jackie and Teak;-) Can there be any doubt McCain hates everybody, including himself?

From petty local scams to international money-laundering, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s political/media/business/religious empire has all the looks of a global “ongoing criminal enterprise,” albeit one with enough powerful friends in Washington to protect it from serious consequences.
Either more people are speaking out now about the truth, I have better search engines and keywords or the wheels are coming off the bus. Hopefully, all of the above. ;)
The Year of the Tiger is the best!!
"Mr. Speaker, we've heard a lot in the last couple of days about the American Revolution, and the Civil War, and World War II. Well, Mr. Speaker, our President today is not Washington, he is not Lincoln, and he's not Roosevelt. And so I think our Republican colleagues should take the advice of the Secretary of Defense and that's 'You go to war with the President you have. You don't go to war with the President you wish you had.'"
