Dawning Of A New Era In Journalism...

or is Scott Shane just trying to make nice?

For Liberal Bloggers, Libby Trial Is Fun and Fodder

The perjury trial of I. Lewis Libby Jr., former top aide to Vice President Dick Cheney, has drawn every major news organization in the country to the federal courthouse in Washington. But none has fielded a bigger team — or was more openly crushed by the defense decision this week not to put Mr. Cheney and Mr. Libby on the stand — than Firedoglake.com.

Jane Hamsher created Firedoglake and organized its Libby trial team.

Even the Web-savvy may ask, Fire dog what? A collective of liberal bloggers, fueled by online donations and a fanatical devotion to the intricacies of the Libby case, Firedoglake has offered intensive trial coverage, using some six contributors in rotation. They include a former prosecutor, a current defense lawyer, a Ph.D. business consultant and a movie producer, all of whom lodge at a Washington apartment rented for the duration of the trial. <more>

Great job, FDR!

It sounds like this Shane person wants out of the bathroom in the courtroom and an invite to the FDL party.

Good job of Team America, Mr. Fitz, and all at FDL.

Since my kids play basketball, football, track, softball, baseball, cross country and soccer---

Would one yell, "TOUCHDOWN! or GOAAAALLL!!" with this rugby? j/k

Let's not forget Huffington Post for pulling strings to get FDL passes to cover the trial.

That was a strange but a good movie Jane made SPB. *Psst, don't tell anyone but what do they say when there is a goal in rugby? I wasn't kidding.

Us po'dunk people don't have them there kind of sports in Wheathead land. ;) I only have my daughter left playing sports, she's a scrappy thief in BB. I miss running baseball games between different small towns for my 2 sons, then off nights for my girl's softball. My kids played all sports, it kept them out of trouble. Thank goodness.
