join 110th Congress
SAN ANTONIO - Former Congressman Ciro Rodriguez defeated seven-term Republican Henry Bonilla in a runoff election Tuesday, adding another Democrat to Congress.
With more than half the precincts reporting in the state’s largest district, Rodriguez had 57 percent to Bonilla’s 43 percent.
They were the top vote-getters in a special election held Nov. 7, but neither got 50 percent, prompting the runoff. <more>
The Oval Office and 21 Republican Senate seats will be up for grabs, with only 12 potential Democratic seats in play.

Brad, my Grandmother would have been absolutely "lost" if she'd voted in one of those machines last month.
But then, when "health insurance" companies started hitting her mailbox with so much "paper" in the latter 1980's, she didn't know if she owed money or not.... she started doubling up on her doctor prescribed "librium" and inevitably... moved rapidly into an alzheimers state.
I clearly remember her wringing her hands, worried to death she (innocently) hadn't paid her bills.
