See Dick. See Dick Testify...

Good Dick Cheney.

Happy Hanukkah!

Witnesses in Libby trial all expected to testify

Fitzgerald signals nobody to assert privilege; Cheney appearance "certain"

WASHINGTON - Special Counsel Patrick Fitzgerald has signaled that none of the government witnesses he intends to call will refuse to testify in the upcoming trial of Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, I Lewis "Scooter" Libby. <more>
Is the mainstream media so dense that they can't figure out that in a trial involving Vice President Dick Cheney's CoS that Dick himself would not be called to testify? (sloooooow whistle)

As always, Christy at Firedoglake breaks it down for you.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening folks!

TGIF and Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate.. Busy day for me...

Well, I figure you were on to the three amigos, Fitz, on using the Nixon playbook in not testifying in little Irve's trial.. It is amazing how the mentality of Cheney is still in the Nixon days and using the executive privilege crapola. I remember when Shug claimed executive privilege when she didn't want to testify in the 9/11 commission hearings... The things that that three amigos will do to get out of prison for their crimes.

It is all coming together now - an Australian/Salt Lake City radical terrorist ring obsessed with Jews, using meth to stay up all hours of the night and day to steal identities to fund attacks. That explains Roger's MOST bizarre behavior - he is wacked and strung out, Very dangerous indeed.

I bet they will remember this Hanukkah season for years and years to come. WOW and LOL!

Here is the latest abot Rep. Tim Johnson:

Statement from the Office of Tim Johnson

Friday, December 15, 2006
Washington, DC— U.S. Senator Tim Johnson's office today released more detailed information on the surgery Johnson underwent for an intracerebral bleed on December 13, 2006.

Surgery was performed by Vivek Deshmukh, MD a neurosurgeon with special expertise and subspecialty training in Cerebrovascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery. The surgical team included Anthony Caputy, M.D., Chairman, Department of Neurosurgery and Anthony Venbrux, M.D., Director of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology

The surgery was considered a success. The surgeons evacuated the blood and stabilized the bleeding. The surgery also relieved the pressure on the brain.

Senator Johnson remains in the ICU in critical but stable condition. "Considering his initial presentation, his progress is encouraging. He is now stabilized and continues to show signs of responsiveness to the medical staff and the family" says Dr. Anthony Caputy.

Routinely patients with an intracranial hemorrhage experience post-operative swelling of the brain. "Much like a bruise, it takes time to heal," says Dr. Caputy.

Post-operative monitoring includes regular CT Scans. The most recent was done this morning.

Says Dr. Vivek Deshmukh "His most recent CT Scan shows that the pressure has been relieved from his brain and there is no further bleeding. Currently his brain pressures are normal and we will continue to monitor this closely for several days."

As a preventative measure doctors placed a filter in his vena cava last night. "Using state-of-the-art intravascular ultrasound at his bedside, we placed a removable MRI-compatible filter into his vena cava to reduce any risk of blood clots going to the lungs," says Dr. Anthony Venbrux.

It is anticipated that Senator Johnson will be in the hospital until brain swelling goes down and his overall condition improves. As he presented with weakness on his right side, doctors anticipate that physical therapy will be part of recovery.

Final posting:

Government Reform Leaders Call for Evaluation of Authority to Recover Billions from Oil Companies

Representatives Henry A. Waxman, Tom Davis, Darrell Issa and Diane E. Watson wrote to U.S. Attorney General Gonzales to ask him to review a legal analysis concluding that the Administration has legal recourse to recover billions of dollars in lost revenue on defective oil and gas leases issued in 1998 and 1999. According to the analysis, the Minerals Management Service exceeded its authority in issuing the leases, and the Administration has the authority to set aside the leases and seek recovery of lost taxpayer revenues.

Go Waxman go!

By the way, I tried to make comment on some of the posting but noticed that Fitz disabled the posting for making comments. After combing through the comments and off the wall comments, all I can say that it is a bit disturbing..

Enjoy your evening! Biloxi out!

A great suggestion, Jackie!
You never outgrow the Christmas specials. Or cookies and milk!

My favorite is the Grinch. (the original, the Chuck Jones animation). I bought a couple of Grinch DVD's and took them to nearby Boys and Girls Clubs today!

(If anybody else feels like doing the same thing in their area, it might be a nice thing .....!)
