WASHINGTON -- Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald said Thursday that he does not expect any government officials to refuse to testify in the CIA leak trial, but he did not specifically say whether Vice President Dick Cheney or other top White House officials were on his witness list.
Attorneys for Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, meanwhile, told a judge that two unidentified reporters may resist testifying on Libby's behalf in the case. The attorneys predicted the issue would be resolved before trial, however. <more>

The nitty-gritty of the above article is that Mr Adanson used to work part-time for the British Secret Services (MI5/MI6) and that his death was ruled very suspicious by his friends and acquaintances.
His body was --supposedly -- entirely disintegrated in the fire that engulfed his Black Mercedes. This is highly suspicious since, according to the mortician of his little town, bodies, even badly burned, tend to remain more or less recognizable and in one piece, even when submitted to such atrocities as napalm. Mr Adanson, of course, never acted the least suicidal before his sudden demise, despite some personal problems.
Mr Adanson supposedly drove the white Fiat that crashed into the Mercedes and sent it crashing into the concrete pillars of the tunnel. Despite research by the French police, this car has never been recovered. M. Adanson, despite some proof to the contrary, always denied being anywhere near Pricess Diana that night. However, he did mention that his mother owned a white Fiat, and that he personally sold it to a third party. That car was -- of course -- never analyzed by the French police.
Make of that what you will.

Diana was a Spencer, descended from the same Spencers as Winston Spencer Churchill. The Duke of Marlborough had no surviving male heirs and his daughter married the Duke of Sunderland, a Spencer, and his son, who became Duke of Marlborough, took on his mother's maiden name in order to keep the name Churchill alive.
Diana was descended from the Stuarts, but then, so are the Windsors, through George 1, elector of Hannover who became king of England and whose mother was a Stuart.
One British journalist suggested that Diana inherited the Stuart capacity for image-building and when she began to outshine the Windsors, she was stepping on dangerous territory.
Most people here think Diana was murdered because she was pregnant with Dodi's child, that she was going to marry a Moslem, and that the future king of England could not possibly be the half-brother of a Moslem and have a Moslem step-father.
Your suggestion that Diana was killed because she had dirt on the Royal family seems plausible.
On one occasion, when she was cavorting with Dodi in the south of France the summer before her death, she appeared before the press in her swim-suit, and said that she was about to do something that would shock them.
What was she going to say?
That she was pregnant and going to marry Dodi?
That she was about to spill the beans on the Royals?

Paul Burrell, Princess Diana’s former Butler, was tried for allegedly stealing Diana’s effects. He claimed that she had given them to him for safe keeping.
I think his house was also raided by the police who were clearly looking for something of importance.
Towards the end of his trial, after millions of pounds ahd been spent, Her Maj suddenly remembered that she had indeed had a conversation with Burrell in which he told her that he had Diana’s effects in his safe-keeping.
The case was dropped.
