On a side note, Partick. You can convert your PDF file into HMTL document. I had to figure that out. But, of course, as you said, it will take up your time.. But, thanks for your note. I will look for your filings...

Concerning your translation..

Go to this website and download this free product...

Install the product.

Then in order to convert a document use the File-->Printer-->Cutepdf option in your document creator software and it will first ask you to name the file and then will save the Document in PDF format.

Patrick,

Did you save the pdf files on your computer as pictures? If so, you can just download the pdf filings in your picture folder into blogger. That exactly what I did on my blog in your last filings. I hope that this makes sense. If not, let me know...

follow up from 10-11 indictments:

Blagojevich fundraiser pleads not guilty

Tribune staff reports
Published October 19, 2006, 4:13 PM CDT

An indicted fundraiser and political confidant for Gov. Rod Blagojevich entered a not-guilty plea today in federal court in Chicago.

Antoin "Tony" Rezko's plea this afternoon related to charges he swindled investors in two pizza restaurants. Later today, he's expected to enter a plea in another case.

In the pizza restaurants case, the federal judge set Rezko's bond at $1.5 million; members of his family have pledged to put up their homes to cover it.

Earlier today, FBI agents picked up Rezko at O'Hare International Airport on charges of fraud and extortion after he returned from a business trip overseas.

Rezko, 51, had failed to show up for arraignments last week, and his attorney was granted a six-day delay for getting his client to court.

Rezko is the target of two separate indictments.

One was unsealed against him last week, charging him with trying to extort millions of dollars from investment firms seeking to do business with the state by leveraging his relationships with high-ranking officials.

A second indictment charged Rezko with fraudulently obtaining a $10 million loan for the sale of his pizza business through a straw buyer and retaining ownership.

Tribune staff reporters Jeff Coen and Matt O'Connor contributed.

Rezko: I'm not guilty of swindling lender

October 19, 2006
A fundraiser and political confidant for Gov. Rod Blagojevich pleaded not guilty Thursday to federal charges that he swindled the General Electric Capital Corp. out of $10.5 million in loans to a pizza restaurant company.

Antoin ''Tony'' Rezko, 51, also is charged in a separate indictment with working with millionaire campaign contributor Stuart Levine to squeeze investment firms seeking state business for kickbacks. A hearing on those charges was set for 5 p.m.

RELATED STORIES
• Rezko taken into custody, will appear in court
Judge Charles Kocorus set Rezko's bond at $1.5 million on the first charge. Rezko's family and friends agreed to put up their property to help Rezko raise the money, and lawyers were working to determine if the value of the property was great enough to meet the bond requirments.

FBI agents picked up Antoin ''Tony'' Rezko, 51, at O'Hare International Airport just hours before he appeared in court. He returned voluntarily from Syria to face the charges, his lawyer said.

Rezko, who has been described by Blagojevich as a friend as well as a fundraiser, failed to show up last Friday for arraignment and there was speculation as to whether he would come back to Chicago this week. The government said it believed that he had been overseas.

He is accused of mail fraud, wire fraud and other charges in an elaborate scheme to squeeze millions of dollars out of companies, including a $1.5 million contribution to ''a certain public official'' from a company seeking state business. A person familiar with the investigation, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because the probe is ongoing, has said the unnamed public official is Blagojevich.

The indictments came more than a year after federal authorities began investigating allegations of fraudulent hiring practices by top officials in the governor's office. The governor has not been charged with any crime and has denied wrongdoing.

Rezko's attorney Joseph J. Duffy has said that the attempt to shake down investment firms never happened and was made up by Levine.

Levine has been under two indictments in the federal investigation of state government corruption. His attorney, Jeffrey B. Steinback, has said he is cooperating and expects to plead guilty.

Levine is due in court on the charges Oct. 27.

Fitz,

Blogger will not allow file uploads due to security reasons..

You have to upload the PDF file(s) to a holding place like myspace.com for example and then you can link to it but not display it like you can a picture file..

Only a link is allowed:
example:
BAM!!

Hope that helps..

I have not been able to get on this site for a few days and have been catching up. Thanks to the Anonymous who commented on the Mohammed Salah trial beginning in Chicago and on the judge Amy St. Eve. I am very interested in this trial and hope you will keep us as updated on it as you do on Libby, Fitz. There seem to be parallels to how heavy-handed the government might get in this trial as in Lynne Stewart's case. One might quibble about whether Mr. Salah was really tortured by the Israelis, but as an American citizen, he was denied legal representation well into his interrogation, and Judge St. Eve is allowing this evidence into the US courts. Also, the prosecution has tried, unsuccessfully, to obtain an anonymous jury, implying that Mr. Salah and his connections to Hamas posed a physical threat to an named jury. About a month ago the Chicago Tribune, as rightwing a publication as you can find, wrote an extensive article about what to expect and the atmosphere of the court. It almost sounded like a description of an old East German Stasi court.

O.k. Here is sort of a short summary of Fitz's filings. At least I don't feel like Bambi on reading these filings than tech stuff! LOL!

Here we go:

Basically, Fitz is responding to those boxes of classified documents that he and Libby's defense team had to comb through to determine what docuements should be fit for the smurf's defense.

In the exhibits 56,75,76, 178, and 299 of the Wilson/Niger documents by the defense, Fitz rejected exhibit 56 but the remainder of those documents remain questionable and said thst court will need to consider thise documents. These questions on certain aspects of those document still unclassified.

Regarding the memory defense exhibits, transcripts of 9/27, 9/28, 10/3, and 10/6 of 2006, all the issues by the defense and Fitz haven't been clearly resolved. There are two remaining issues that need to be resolved. And those two issues as Fitz points out: 1. "whether it is necessary to disclose particular statements made during the meetings attended by Libby and the individuals who made them." 2. "whether it is necessary to disclose deatils regarding the identity or type of intelligence sources." Fitz will provide specific reference of intelligence details to the defense team on October 25, 2006.

In a nutshell, Fitz will identify specific objections to Libby's proffered testimony in a writing on October 23, 2006. So, bottom line is that both defense and prosecution have to come to some type of agreement of what document can be allow for Libby's defense. So, I expect to her some type of rebuttal from the defense.. So, we still have to wait to when Judge Walton makes his decision over this matter.

Biloxi,

Man, that's really damning stuff in that Doc...

The way I understood it is that"

1. The Wilson's played a much larger more important role in CIA/Plame than this gerbil admin made it out to be.
The classification of the documents themselves speak to that very fact.

2. The analysis determines that the intelligence pointed towards no confidence towards the said Uranium and contradicts what the gerbil admin was itself claiming back then..

3. Those responsible for outing the agent knew exactly what they were doing.

You correct me if I'm wrong here..
