Report Spells Out Abuses by "Happy Days" Cunningham

"Former Representative Randy Cunningham pressured and intimidated staff members of the House Intelligence Committee to help steer more than $70 million in classified federal business to favored military contractors, according to a Congressional investigation made public on Tuesday."

"Ms. Harman’s action drew a rebuke from Representative Peter Hoekstra, Republican of Michigan and chairman of the committee, who called the release “disturbing and beyond the pale.”

In an interview, Ms. Harman said Tuesday that the public had a right to see the conclusions of the inquiry, which was led by Michael Stern, an outside special counsel, and completed in May. She said she had been pushing for months for the committee to produce an unclassified version of the report.

“I thought it would be out in early August,” she said, “well ahead of the election season.”

Only the five-page executive summary of the report was released. The full 59-page report remains classified."

Rep. Harman - brass ones.

One could see that he was a pushy SOB from his arrogance when asked by reporters about that boat. I remember my mouth dropped open when I seen that on the news.

Dukester clearly said, "Catch me if you dare." Well, you all certainly did dare... the humbled of America thanks you all.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho - As the man accused of kidnapping two children and killing their family waits in a jail cell for a federal indictment to be handed down, he still holds what could be a bargaining chip: An encrypted laptop that may contain more horrors.

The FBI's top hackers apparently have been unable to break through Joseph Edward Duncan III's security encryptions, and a plea bargain Duncan's lawyers struck Monday with state prosecutors says the key must only be shared with his defense lawyer.

I assume they are not talking about letting this person out of prison. I seen his creepy website before it was taken down and I bet there would be a wealth of information about his crimes and others on his computer.

If nothing else, you will probably find out who his offenders were and why this awful cycle of preying on children must stop. The elite, politicians, clergy, whoever will not stop raping children when they are allowed a free pass because of their status. They just grow more cunning and continue their assault on our children. Stop this cycle of enabling.

And that is why Cunningham is in prison. Dirty Duke has to ask himself everyday in that cell: was stealing, lying, and cheating really worth going to prison and hurting the people in San Diego? And I for one am not for Mr. Cunningham to receive any check marks on reducing his sentence no matter what he brings to the table. 70 million in contracts? Outright robbery!

Anon,

I agree. 7 years is not enough from what Cunningham did. And I was surprised that Cunningham only gotten a small sentence. He certianly hs ties to the Hookergate and the MZM scandal. And I am glad that they seized his property and his money. The city of San Diego will take a longer time to recover. From what I heard, there is a good Democratic candidate running in San Diego. Hope that person can cleanup that city.
