I'll say it again if everything was Armitage why did Cheney/Rove/Libby lie. The time line tells the tale of who did what and when. The CIA's name, and classified national security information was leaked before Novak's article was released. What the hell is memory lost as a defense. Yes the media is given the news and as we notice the Bush Administration has a propaganda budget to use now. So to end this case and move on Presidents Bush/Cheney will have to give an executive order that says criminals who work for the White House will be pardon for pass, current and future crimes. Let Ken Lay get his pardon so he can come home. Abramoff, Delay and Cunningham are waiting for their pardons too. If not Fitzgerald has enough facts to put Libby in jail and if Rove doesn't tell the same story that he told the grand jury he's going to jail too. Oh I noticed David Brooks is always defending Karl Rove even when his guilty now I know why thank goodness Karl came out of the closet. David Brooks was on PBS and he was cheer leading for his bestest friend Karl.

I'm back on the ABC Mickey Mouse drama...Interesting thoughts from Media Matters:

"...the hosts of CNN's Paula Zahn Now, Fox News' Fox & Friends, and ABC's Good Morning America failed to raise key issues with Kean bearing on his role as a senior consultant to the film: What are the terms of his arrangement with ABC? Might his son, Thomas H. Kean Jr., who is challenging Democrat Bob Menendez for his New Jersey Senate seat, not benefit from Kean's high-profile promotion of a film that falsely presents the actions of President Clinton, who is campaigning for Menendez; by promoting a film that smears a Democratic administration through fabricated scenes, is Kean not tarnishing his own image and that of the 9-11 Commission, which has to date acted in a largely bipartisan manner and produced a report that has garnered wide respect?"

He's done thousand of studies regarding the Media and it's effect on society and it reflects very clearly the method used by

http://www.progressforamerica.org/

Gerbners found that the most widespread and socialy significant negative consequence of a person's exposure to Mass Media is not the instigation of anti-social or violent behaviour but rather the opposite...

Comparing survey answers of individuals who watched lots of tv Gerbner consistently found that heavy viewers overestimated their chances of being victims of violence, they condluded taht TV was helping to reinforce and extended a view of the world as mean and dangerous.

Violence he insisted, is tghe most elemental form of symbolic control.

In two decades fo analyses of networking tv Gerner consistently found high levels of killings, injuries and threats between individuals.

To him, the cultivation studies suggested that all tv violence presented a message of mayhem that led heavy viewers to worry excessively about their world.

Here Gerbner saw the hands of private and government power working together to amass symbolic influnence.

Insecure, angry people may be prone to violence but are even more lekely to be dependent on authority and susceptible to deceptive measures such as more jails, capital punishment, harsher sentences - measures that have never reduced crime but never fail to get votes- if that promises to relieve their anxieties.

Gerbner started his TV research already in the sixties and has undertaken thousands of studie in the field but not many have reached the public awarness.

For a good reason, if I'm aware that someone is manipulating me it won't work and no MSM, private industry or government want's to give away their way their secret mass brain washing maschine aka TV...

So the maxime is

I wonder if this is the truth about this NASCO because Rep. Jim Ryun denied it in a state debate. I thought Bush posted it on the White House website?

Ryun lied about the upgrades to his sweetheart deal on his townhouse, I suppose he would lie to get elected when asked about NASCO from his opponent too.

2. Halliburton charged with selling nuclear technology to Iran
Halliburton, the notorious U.S. energy company, sold key nuclear-reactor components to a private Iranian oil company called Oriental Oil Kish as recently as 2005, using offshore subsidiaries to circumvent U.S. sanctions. The story is particularly juicy because Vice President Dick Cheney, who now claims to want to stop Iran from getting nukes, was president of Halliburton in the mid-1990s, at which time he may have advocated business dealings with Iran, in violation of U.S. law.

Rep. Jim Cooper of Tennessee claims the real deficit is $760 billion, not $318.5 billion as claimed by the White House. And the national debt is actually $49 trillion, not $8.3 trillion.

More numbers-based fear-mongering, after the jump.

Last year, the U.S. paid $375 billion in interest alone … or, Washington paid $100 billion more in interest than last year’s $275 billion increase in federal revenue.

Scary numbers, but why even mention them? Because Cooper’s a Dem and he suspects the GOP will “reveal” the true numbers once the Dems win back the House and Senate … so that the Democrats will get stuck with the blame for the crazy debt and spending that have piled up since 2001.

Folks,

Here is a message from Joe and Valerie Wilson from their website:

September 7, 2006

To Our Courageous Supporters and Friends,
We want to take this opportunity to step back from the legal and political whirlwind and thank you for your continued support. We'd also like to update you on the progress we've made, with your help, since the filing of the lawsuit against the Vice President, Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.
Since the establishment of the Joseph and Valerie Wilson Legal Support Trust, we have received many generous donations from people all over our nation. Your contributions have helped us to begin to pay for the significant costs stemming from our case. Many of you have also sent letters of encouragement which have touched us deeply and strengthened our resolve.
Moving forward, we feel that it is vital that we all remember that this lawsuit is not about us or just politics. It's about uncovering the truth for the American people. It's about ensuring that all relevant public officials are held accountable for the abuse of their considerable power. And it's about deterring similar offenses from being committed in the future. On that note, we particularly want to express our gratitude to the bloggers and others who have participated in the public discourse. You have played an essential role in ensuring that people continue to think and speak about the important issues that underlie our case.
Many of you have already heard that we have engaged new counsel for the next phase of litigation. This preeminent legal team is formidable, aggressive, and principled. We are fortunate to have the non-profit, public-interest organization Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) and Joseph Cotchett and Frank Pitre with the law firm of Cotchett, Pitre, Simon & McCarthy representing us. CREW has an extensive track record of successfully routing corruption and dishonesty in government. Frank and Joe have an incredible history of representing underdogs and fighting to protect civil rights. In addition, Erwin Chemerinsky, noted Constitutional law scholar and professor at Duke University School of Law, will continue to serve in the case as co-counsel.
The defendants have and will no doubt continue to try to distract us from what is truly at issue here. But we must not lose sight of the principal question: Do the American people want individuals who threaten our national security and violate the very rights that they are charged with upholding, to remain above public inquiry or legal consequences for their actions? Our response is a firm and resounding 'no'. Our elected and appointed officials should be eager - even impatient - to dissolve any suspicions or controversy surrounding their actions. In this case, they are staying the course that they have been on for too long — one of obstruction and obfuscation.
We will continue to update you on our progress. Please sign up for our email alerts and check www.WilsonSupport.org for new information on this important fight. This will be a long and arduous struggle, but every day we continue to be inspired by your outpouring of support. We thank you.

Sincerely,
Joe & Valerie Wilson

The Opportunity of a Lifetime

What if the attacks on September 11, 2001, had not been seen as a new Pearl Harbor? Only three months earlier, after all, Disney's Pearl Harbor (the "sanitized" version, as Times columnist Frank Rich labeled it), a blockbuster made with extensive Pentagon help, had performed disappointingly at the multiplexes. As an event, it seemed irrelevant to American audiences until 9/11, when that ancient history -- and the ancient retribution that went with it -- wiped from the American brain the actual history of recent decades, including our massive covert anti-Soviet war in Afghanistan, out of which Osama bin Laden emerged.

Great op-ed.

Halliburton Fraud Lawsuit Details Super Bowl Party

Washington - Halliburton Co. executives ordered a big-screen television and 10 large tubs of tacos, chicken wings and cheese sticks delivered to Iraq for last year's Super Bowl, then billed U.S. taxpayers for their party, according to a lawsuit unsealed Friday.

The Houston-based company also defrauded the government by double-and triple-billing for Internet, food and gym services for soldiers, according to the lawsuit by a former employee for KBR, the Halliburton subsidiary that runs dining halls for troops in Iraq.
"The administration is not enforcing the laws against fraud when it comes to contractors in Iraq," said Alan Grayson, the attorney who filed the suit. "When it comes to seeing that the law is executed, the Bush administration is a no-show."

Halliburton denied the allegations, filed under the False Claims Act. Designed to prevent war profiteering, such lawsuits allow citizens to sue on behalf of the government and recover a portion of any damages.

I am pleased to announce the addition of three new Advisory Committee Members to the Libby Legal Defense Trust:

• Marty Peretz, Editor-in-Chief of The New Republic

• Ron Silver, Tony-Award winning Actor, Director and Producer

• Nina Rosenwald, Co-Chair of the Board of American Securities Holding Corporation

Over the past several weeks, with new press revelations regarding the CIA leak investigation, we have once again been reminded of the grave injustice done to our friend, Scooter Libby. While many recent press editorials and op-ed pieces justifiably have called for an end to this whole spectacle, (see the “In the News” and “What You Aren’t Hearing” sections of our website) unfortunately for Scooter and his family, this case is not over. Scooter still faces a trial in January and legal bills that will run into the millions of dollars. (this is excluding his civil lawsuits with the Wilsons. Better get the KFC chicken dinners ready for pandhandling for more money) As a public servant who served the Bush Administration with distinction, Scooter should not have to face this overwhelming financial burden on his own.(or Scooter will be shopping at KMart for the bluelight special for 10 dented cans of tuna for a buck!)

We invite you to make a contribution to the Libby Legal Defense Trust and join us today in helping a good man restore his good name.

Ha! Ha! LMAO!! A GOOD MAN WITH A GOOD NAME? Half pint Libby's name will have serial number 6874653 on that back of his prison attire!!! Bwhaaaaaaa!!!! And notice the new people crawled to join his legal defense fund???

New Zealand TV planning on running ORIGINAL defamatory 9/11 show, will only show a new version if Disney/ABC sends it in time

According to the folks in New Zealand, they have the original defamatory version of Disney/ABC's 9/11 show and they've clearly not been given any orders not to run it. They're still planning on running the original version and will only run something different IF Disney/ABC gets them the new version in time. As the NZ is pretty damn far ahead of, international dateline wise, this should be interesting. If they run the original show, and they say they're still planning on it, the libel awards are going to be in the millions.
TVNZ spokesperson Megan Richards says the network will run whatever the ABC sends to it.

Ms Richards says TVNZ already has a version of the programme, but if it receives another one before the screening time, that will be run instead.

Political Conversation: Condi’s Slip
A pressing issue of dinner-party etiquette is vexing Washington, according to a story now making the D.C. rounds: How should you react when your guest, in this case national-security adviser Condoleezza Rice, makes a poignant faux pas? At a recent dinner party hosted by New York Times D.C. bureau chief Philip Taubman and his wife, Times reporter Felicity Barringer, and attended by Arthur Sulzberger Jr., Maureen Dowd, Steven Weisman, and Elisabeth Bumiller, Rice was reportedly overheard saying, “As I was telling my husb—” and then stopping herself abruptly, before saying, “As I was telling President Bush.” Jaws dropped, but a guest says the slip by the unmarried politician, who spends weekends with the president and his wife, seemed more psychologically telling than incriminating. Nobody thinks Bush and Rice are actually an item. A National Security Council spokesman laughed and said, “No comment.”

My girlfriend went to the grocery store today and she saw The Globe. We have a rule in the house not to bring crapola supermarket tabloids in the house.. Anyhoo, she told me that the front headlines is about Laura and the Gerbil. Laura says that she can't take it anymore. Laura said that Shug and the Gerbil are making a fool out of her because they made their attraction to one another visible to the public. And the aides, housekeepers, maintenance people, etc., they are whispering behind Laura's back. Also, in the magazine, Laura and the Gerbil were going to split after the Gerbil's governorship but the Gerbil family made arrangements that Laura stayed with the Gerbil until his Presidency...

While the Gerbil is allowing this country to go in the toilet, his private life and turned into a soap opera. As my girlfriend said that "they ain't Luke and Laura." LOL! Good night! Biloxi out!

Its statements like this one, made Feb. 5, 2003, by then-Secretary of State Colin Powell that have become so controversial, implying Iraq was linked to terror attacks.

"Iraq today harbors a deadly terrorist network headed by abu Musab al-Zarqawi, an associated collaborator of Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda lieutenants," Powell said.

But after 2 1/2 years of reviewing pre-war intelligence behind closed doors, the lead Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, Sen. John Rockefeller (D-W.V.), who voted for the Iraq War, says the Bush administration pulled the wool over everyone's eyes.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice insisted that Al-Qaeda operatives in Iraq were developing weapons of mass destruction prior to the ousting of Saddam Hussein.

Rice, giving a series of interviews ahead of the fifth anniversary of the September 11 Al-Qaeda attacks on the United States, brushed aside a recently released US intelligence report saying there was no evidence Saddam's regime was helping Al-Qaeda obtain such arms.

"There were ties between Iraq and Al-Qaeda," she said on Fox News Sunday.

The more that the Gerbil Administration keep playing the blame game and the one armed bandit defense on the spin of why we invade Iraq, the more determine people will get out and vote and put Congress and the entire bastard Administration out of business for good..

From today's Washington Post

On the videotape obtained by the CIA, bin Laden is seen confidently instructing his party how to dig holes in the ground to lie in undetected at night. A bomb dropped by a U.S. aircraft can be seen exploding in the distance. "We were there last night," bin Laden says without much concern in his voice. He was in or headed toward Pakistan, counterterrorism officials think.

That was December 2001. Only two months later, Bush decided to pull out most of the special operations troops and their CIA counterparts in the paramilitary division that were leading the hunt for bin Laden in Afghanistan to prepare for war in Iraq, said Flynt L. Leverett, then an expert on the Middle East at the National Security Council.

"I was appalled when I learned about it," said Leverett, who has become an outspoken critic of the administration's counterterrorism policy. "I don't know of anyone who thought it was a good idea. It's very likely that bin Laden would be dead or in American custody if we hadn't done that."

Several officers confirmed that the number of special operations troops was reduced in March 2002.

The diary entry I'm posting today is not my own but a public domain essay written by an anonymous writer who describes himself as a "high powered Madison Ave. advertising executive." He uses the alias "Coty Jarrett" because many of his clients are Republican politicians and opinion leaders. His motive for writing the essay is simple: he's sympathetic to the Democrats and wants to pass on privileged information on how Republicans win elections. He conveys it in the form of an open letter to all Democratic candidates and campaign managers in elections this fall.

e,

Thanks for sharing from the DailyKos and posting the link on...the insight of the "high powered Madison Ave. advertising executive" who uses the alias "Coty Jarrett" on how Rove wins elections...I was thinking about a lot of these ideas and issues this morning when when I read this from the Washington Post:

"Republicans are planning to spend the vast majority of their sizable financial war chest over the final 60 days of the campaign attacking Democratic House and Senate candidates over personal issues and local controversies, GOP officials said," report Jim VandeHei and Chris Cillizza for the Post.

"The National Republican Congressional Committee, which this year dispatched a half-dozen operatives to comb through tax, court and other records looking for damaging information on Democratic candidates, plans to spend more than 90 percent of its $50 million-plus advertising budget on what officials described as negative ads,"..."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/
wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/09/
AR2006090901079_pf.html
*************

I think if the Democrats don't employ some of the Republicans smear and hard-ass tactics, they may screw up their chances of really winning big..as they should...and one what I think are essential to any candidate's campaining are these ideas from the article:

1) "Choose ONE VERY CLEAR LABEL for your candidate and NEVER let go of it. Keep hitting it hard until everyone in America knows it is EXACTLY what your candidate stands for."
2) "MANAGING PERCEPTION. Not just managing the perception people have of YOUR guy, but more importantly, managing the perception people have of the OTHER guy!"

Anyway, what a great read...everyone should check it out.

Clinton questions GOP's sincerity on security issues
By Jo Mannies
ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH
09/09/2006

Former President Bill Clinton asserted here Saturday that if Republicans were serious about national security, they'd carry out the recommendations of the bipartisan 9/11 Commission instead of regularly using the issue to pound political opponents.

"They've trotted that dog out for the last three elections - and it's got mange all over it," Clinton told an enthusiastic crowd of about 2,000 packing the Pageant for a morning Democratic rally.

That 'minister' Fred Phelps is going straight to hell for his hateful and unChristian ways. I would never be surprised if he takes himself out like Jim Jones or David Koresh.

Yesterday was Patriot Riders Day in Illinois. What a screwed up place we live in when religious nuts harass mourners and volunteers are needed.

"Another plan is for Bush to tell the voting public how successful he and his grossly incompetent people have repeatedly saved, and will continue to save, their blessed Americans from numerous “terrorist attacks."

Hmmm...well, they seem to forget the terrorist attack that we had on AMERIKA was under Bush's watch and they had warnings of that attack...which will always be known as 9/11. The day that Bush & Co. started their game plan!!

Voting fraud is always the number one concern...

Get them right where it hurts and dismantle their ability to cheat!!

Stop the big lie: Stand for 9-11 TRUTH being told!!!!

Slogans
"Culture of Corruption" use it over and over again, thats what the GOP is

"Remove tax windfall" Democrats should stress over and over again they will remove the tax windfall of big oil companies.

"National Security" Democrats should pound how the GOPs national security has made no one safer, over and over and over again. And how many problems we now have with Dubai Ports, Hurricaine Katrina, and everything else

"National Security in a "Culture of Corruption"
Democrats should stress rapidly over and over again, how the GOP's version of National Security is a culture of corruption to pay their cronies and make millions of greasebacks. In addition to committing gross abuse of the taxes, the votes, and the people.

"Alternative Energy" Democrats should stress how the other guy is never doing anything to make anyone safer, and seems to be good at only one thing. Getting indicted. Democrats will change this policy forever by no compromise with Big Oil, and pushing for alternative fuels and energy to get us off foreign oil by 2015. Realistic goals, realistic plan.

"Accountability" Democrats should push this meme as often as "Culture of Corruption", so that everyone even the conservatives, know that electing a new congress brings Accountability. "Accountability" to every crime, fraud, and stealing committed by the very party in power. Every single stone will be toppled- Democrats will bring Accountability and end "Culture of Corruption"

There we go.....
