About Me
- Name: Patrick J. Fitzgerald
- Location: U.S. Attorney On Assignment - WDC, Illinois, United States
Think Globally Prosecute Locally - I grew up in Flatbush, kept my nose clean, went to law school. Now that I am in Chicago and D.C. I have found that the rampant graft and corruption to be a travesty - a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham. ---Favorite quote --- "Conditional love is an oxymoron." - Yours truly

Reality check...excerpts:
QUESTION: And does Patrick Fitzgerald — will he notify you if he's about to indict anyone? And lastly, is he under any obligation [to file] a public report?
ATTY GEN. GONZALES: I am recused from this investigation. I have been since coming to the Department of Justice. That means that not only am I recused from making decisions or participating in decisions regarding this investigation, I am recused from receiving information about the investigation. Quite frankly, you probably know more about this case than I do. I do not receive briefings. I do not receive any information about this particular case.
And in terms of what will happen going forward, you — you have as much information about that as I do. That's — that'll be a decision made by Pat Fitzgerald....
...Finally, it simply defies common sense to think that Fitzgerald and the grand jury would give the attorney general a preview of an indictment in the CIA leak matter. "Gonzales would not be given that kind of information," says one insider. "The reason one is recused from the case is so that one cannot make decisions that would affect the case — like he might tell the White House."
And one more note. Madsen also reported that Fitzgerald told Rove lawyer Robert Luskin that he, Luskin, is now a "subject" in the probe because Fitzgerald is investigating whether Luskin "may have violated laws on obstruction of justice." I asked Rove spokesman Mark Corallo whether Fitzgerald has informed Luskin that he, Luskin, is a subject of the investigation. "No," was Corallo's answer. And Corallo repeated his earlier denials about the purported meeting last Friday at Patton Boggs. It simply did not happen, Corallo said.

If no Media Advisory is issued today it looks like Jason Leopold and Wayne Madsen will be looking for different jobs/careers.
Waiting for the Media Advisory!
TIC TOC!
I hope Fitz will pay for Jason's one way ticket to OBLIVION!
It's been nice reading Truthout.

Is Fitz meeting with the grand jury today?
Come on Fitz. Let's get the show on the road! Let's prove that Jason was right!
I know I would be severely pissed off if someone ruined my career with falsehoods!
Has Fitz left Jason twisting in the wind?
Drop dead day
May 19, 2006 05:49 AM / Media .
Any way you slice it, today is "drop dead day" for Karl Rove or some web sites and blogs that have staked their reputations on a story on an indictment story that may be fact, fiction or just wishful thinking.
Meanwhile, Truthout and reporter Jason Leopold, who started this whole Rove-watch with an as-yet unproven "scoop" seven days ago claiming Rove had already been indicted, keep saying time will prove them right and hint that today may be the day they are vindicated.
If that happens it will be the most stealth-announcement of Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald's investigation. No press conference is on Friday's schedule of events in Washington and everything seems to be business as usual.
Even the die-hards on the liberal sites, blogs and discussion boards are starting to sound nervous. On Democratic Underground, where anything published by Truthout is treated as gospel, an increasing number of clockers and watchers now say today is the drop-dead date for an indictment and, if one doesn't come down, they want answers from Leopold and the web site that published his story.
Truthout is also facing increasing questions from readers on its own bulletin board.
On Thursday, blogger Wayne Madsen offered a differing version of the case, with a different timeline than Leopold but one that still offered hope for the Rove-indictment hopefuls.
If an indictment is announced today, it will be interesting to see how the media big boys explain why they missed the story. If no indictment is announced today, it will be just as interesting to see what the spin is tonight by those who bet their reputations on this story.
It will be a VERY INTERESTING DAY for either the Neocons or the Liberals.
My money is on the fact that Jason Leopold has been had. In his zeal to break a story that most on this blog are foaming at the mouth to hear, he got snookered and the person calling him/herself Patrick Fitzgerald left him to hang out and dry. This appears to be black friday for the far left wingnuts that will believe anything negative about the Bush Administration.
The sticker??? I think that was hint to give to the evil doers who cross your path....

How ridiculous!
You obviously have no idea how a GJ operates. They are not on OUR timetable.
Patrick Fitzgerald is an honest, decent prosecutor conducting a case. The fact that it involves Bush's Brain is what is intriguing to everyone.
The bottom line - it's a legal case and will proceed in it's own manner and timeline.
Remember that PJF is doing his own "spin". I doubt that Jason or any of us will be disappointed when all this is over. Patience. Faith.
