Libby Lawyers Fingering State Dept....

They say the officials who leaked Plames identity are either: former Secretary of State Colin Powell, former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and then-Undersecretary of State Marc Grossman.

"The media conflagration ignited by the failure to find WMD in Iraq and in part by Mr. Wilson's criticism of the administration, led officials within the White House, the State Department and the CIA to blame each other, publicly and in private, for faulty pre-war intelligence about Iraq's WMD capabilities," papers filed by Mr. Libby's defense team said.

At the DOJ we call this a "Nanny Nanny Boo Boo" Defense.

So, the little soldier is playing the "blame game" with the State Dept officials: Powell, Grossman, and Armitage. First, it was Rambo Cheney and then, it was the CIA employees, and now it is the State Dept. Now, I am ready for him to blame Barney the dog next! If the little soldier thinks that Powell will take the fall in this case, you have another thing coming. Powell could be Libby's worst nightmare. Powell was excluded from many of the Gerbil's discussions about invading Iraq. With the cold sholder by the Gerbil, when Powell resigned from his position, Powell could open of a can of worms with information about the Administration that could hurt Libby. And Armitage wouldn't certainly take the fall becauase he was Powell's assistant. Besides, with Armitage's new job with ConocoPhillips, how do we not know that Armitage or better yet, Conoco Phillips paying for Libby's attorney fees??? The little soldier is making his case much worse for him. A case that he doesn't have a leg to stand on. He should notify Fitz and fess up the truth, save face, and call it a day. If not, he will be joining the rest of the Gerbil 'R Us gang with orange jumpsuits!

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Folks!

Happy Tuesday!

Here is the today news (besides hearing about "The Hammer" not seeking re-election. Do I shed a tear on that news? I think not!). Here we go:

1, Chavez is going after the Gerbil by means of money!

Chavez spending billions abroad to counter Bush Administration

"President Hugo Chavez is spending billions of dollars of his country's oil windfall on pet projects abroad that are aimed at setting up his leftist government as a political counterpoint in the region to the conservative Bush administration."

http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Chavez_spending_billions_abroad_to_counter_0403.html

The Gerbil's worse nightmare!

2. Now I heard everything. But, this takes the cake!

Ohio Official Invested in Vote Machine Co.

"Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, who is seeking the Republican nomination for governor, said he discovered the shares for Diebold Inc. while preparing a required filing for the Ohio Ethics Commission."

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/nation/3768954.html

This is most bullsh** remark I have ever heard! Blackwell says that he was unaware that he invested in Diebold, Inc. As a shareholder of Wells Fargo, I have received at the end of the every year a 1099 form of my dividends reinvested or any money invested in shares. Now, didn't Blackwell noticed the 1099 form for 2005 of either dividends reinvested or money invested in shares mailed to him By Diebold, Inc.? For people who are non-investors or don't have knowledge in investing at all, may buy that hill of beans or maybe not. But, I know the state of Ohio are certainly not buying that lame excuse. Blackwell got his hands caught in thw cookie jar!

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The state's top elections official said Monday he accidentally invested in a company that makes voting machines.

Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, who is seeking the Republican nomination for governor, said he discovered the shares for Diebold Inc. while preparing a required filing for the Ohio Ethics Commission.

"While I was unaware of this stock in my portfolio, its mere presence may be viewed as a conflict and is therefore not acceptable," he said in a letter included in his filing.

Yeah, sure. This is the same guy who wanted the lawyers who brought about the suit to contest the verified fraud in the OH 2004 election. He has ignored subpoenas when it came time for him to answer questions, however.
And he wants to be Gov? Not unless he fixes this election too. He was chair for the 2004 Bush/Cheney campaign-Dubya came to Cols that very election night to personally thank Blackwell for something...p

Blackwell tried to sanction the lawyers who brought suit. We now have a law which prohibits questioning of election results, thanks to you-know-who!

Hi SPB and all,

"Blame Game in Plamegate" that figures ;-)
and all three have resigned under Bush admin (if I'm not mistaken) and now are the once blamed for all the mischief?

What a conincidence!

Anon,

Blackwell can't get out that. If his tax filing were investigated, I am sure that you will find his 2005 filings for the IRS a record of the dividend reinvested or shares that he brought from the company in his tax returns. But, of course, this blunder connects him to the illegal voting results.

More in the news. Both article are from the WSJ:

1. Now, if anyone on this blog wants to know how the Patriot Act is working to fight terror in this country? Here is an excerpt:

How Patriot Act
Helped Convict Man
In Baby-Food Ring
Mr. Jammal Faces 10 Years
After Terror-Probe Tapes
Are Used in Criminal Trial

"Three months before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, police in Tempe, Ariz., began investigating information from Wal-Mart Stores Inc. suggesting that a local grocery wholesaler named Samih Jammal was part of an organized ring stealing baby formula from Wal-Mart stores and trucks.

Mr. Jammal, a 36-year-old U.S. citizen born in Lebanon, was never charged with any offense related to terrorism. Yet evidence collected in the FISA eavesdropping played a role in his conviction last April on federal charges focused on fencing stolen baby formula, for which he was sentenced to 10 years in prison

Mr. Jammal is appealing, contending that FISA evidence used against him was illegally obtained and crippled his defense. He says the charges against him were trumped up by a government determined to show progress in the war against terror. "It's baby formula of mass destruction here," he said at one pretrial hearing.

The government found the WMD. It's the baby formula not Hussein's developing weapons!

2. Spitzer or Fitz' potential running mate for POTUS 08, strikes again!:

Spitzer Goes After FCC
Posted by Peter Lattman

"New York State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer has shown that he’s not afraid to tell the federal government when he thinks they’re falling down on the job. Now he’s taken another potshot at federal regulators, according to the New York Post. This time, the Federal Communications Commission was the target.
Spitzer reportedly accused federal regulators of sneaking behind his back and undermining his investigation into a music payola scam by negotiating “inadequate” deals to settle with some of the nation’s largest radio companies."

Go Spitz go!

But, all of those knuckleheads are just stupid because Fitz knew the leaker in the beginning. Now, all of them are acting like roaches going for cover and pointing the finger at one another!

My take is that Powell recognized the Neoconcoup for what it was: subversion at the most egregious level. He also knew subversives had metasticized broadly, including into the FCC, where his son worked. The son quit his FCC post-probably upon realizing father knows best.

And now, a rant that just won't go away:

AIPAC + AEI + Bush Administration = treason.

The last phase of the coup would be the elimination of Posse Commitatus and subsequent implementation of martial law.

Plame/Wilson, Powell, Comey, and Fitzgerald are names that will be forever associated with the saving of the Republic.

Run Neocons. Run.

Based on the old saying "If you are pointing your finger at someone else, you have three fingers pointing back at you!"

I have created a graphic organizer. The index finger points to the problem the client sees as outside of his/her control. The other three fingers pointing back are behaviors, thoughts, changes, etc. within the client's control that contribute to the problem situation. The thumb is slightly bent down overlapping the top of the middle finger (the top of the three pointing back). It serves to identify the overriding belief that must be changed. Clients write on the fingers and thumb. Clients can see at a glance a bigger picture and the part they play in it. They can use their own hand later as a reminder of the form and what they can do about the problem.

Nanny nanny boo boo, huh? Sounds like the the little soldier is crying out to mommy for a pamper change. Libby can cry all he wants and pull the blankie over his head and say that "I didn't do it somebody else did it." How pathetic! And little soldier was Cheney's right hand person? And a lawyer, for God sakes? What kind of man is Libby and that's if he is a man??

So, the little lawyer in me [no, not one by schooling whatsoever, just deal w/them 24x7] says:

1) the lawyers Libby has hired must defend them to the best of their capability
2) does not mean they also have to have scruples
3) in doing [1], they preclude the chance for a mis-trial on some naft technical detail as they will have explored every avenue to defend the absolute corrupt and selective memory ass;
4) in doing [2] we know whom we will not look to for any stellar, precedent setting work .. their next clients will be the likes of Ney, Hannah, et al...

Just know the company you keep, eh?
Let them pull out all the stops.

They will have very well set themselves in the corner for a slam-dunk by our PJF and team.

Nice one.

Man little soldier must be PEEING his pants, if the only defense these neocrackpots have now is to try to throw the judge off the case!!!!!!
